"And ACME Loo wins against Perfecto Prep once again!" Sylvester announced.
ACME Looniversity has beaten Perfecto Prep in yet another football game. After celebrating with his friends and classmates, Furrball walked out of the stadium to find Rhubella Rat crying on a bench.
"That jerk!" She seethed, between tears.
Furrball didn't know what to do. Part of him wanted to let her let out her frustrations, while another part of him wanted to talk to her.
"He blames me for his loss?" She growled to herself. "Just who does he think he is?!"
Furrball walked over to Rhubella, who saw him approach her in the corner of her eye.
"What do you want, ACME-Loser?!" She demanded.
"Is something wrong?" Furrball asked.
"Why do you care?!" Snapped Rhubella. "It's not like you have, or had, a significant other who blamed you for their loss for what seems like no reason, and then dump you!"
Rhubella started sobbing uncontrollably, causing Furrball to feel bad for her. Rather than walk away, he instead sits next to her.
"He doesn't deserve you." Said Furrball.
Rhubella stopped sobbing and looked at Furrball as if he was speaking an entirely new language.
"What are you talking about?" She asked.
"It's clear that he doesn't respect you." Said Furrball. "You should find someone who respects you for who you are, instead of someone who blames you for something that wasn't your fault."
Rhubella's expression began to change. She was no longer looking at Furrball with disdain, she was now smiling at him.
"Y-you're right." She said. "Forget him! Thanks, uhh... what was your name again?"
"Furrball." He said.
Rhubella leaned in and gentle kissed Furrball's forehead.
"Thanks, Furrball." She smiled. "You're pretty cool for an ACME Loo student."
"I'm not just the only one." Furrball replied. "If you got to know the others, you'd see."
He decided to properly introduce Rhubella to his classmates, hoping that they would finally get along after what happened with Roderick.
The next girl will be Margot Mallard. Gotta strike while the iron is hot.
