A portal opened in space, a spaceship passed through and landed on a station built on an asteroid orbiting a red planet. As the ship docked, two guard robots approached.
Suddenly, a new portal opened behind them, from which a slender grey vessel emerged, firing something. The projectile passed through the first ship, destroying it, and landed under the docking floor; in the space station corridor. As the smoke cleared, the assailant looked up. It was a tall, muscular alien of the same species as Technorg. It was Vulkanus.
Robot guards immediately appeared, firing at him. The tall alien roared and quickly dealt with them, destroying each one with a single blow. He opened a door into a room housing a container in a pillar of pink light. Inside the container was a small sliver of pink matter. The big red alien looks at it.
An emergency hatch opened on the station and Vulkanus arrived in space, container in hand. The gray ship arrived to pick him up.
Inside the ship, Vulkanus approached the ship's captain, seated on a chair. The captain turned around as the big red alien showed him the container.
"We have element X." Says Vulkanus as a mechanical arm picks up the container and brings it to the captain. "Now, where's the last ingredient we need to complete the mixture?"
As the container landed in their clutches, the captain revealed himself to be SixSix. In response to the question, he pressed a button on his chair that projected a holographic image of a planet. Vulkanus recognized it immediately: Earth.
Back on Earth, a certain hero was daydreaming, obviously it was Ben dreaming of being a manga hero.
But this dream was interrupted by Gwen, who was standing right next to Hope and Hayden, with Hope trying not to laugh at the voices Ben was making as he read.
"Ben, this is a work of art, you know, not your personal butt rest. You're going to get us kicked out of the museum." Said Gwen, showing Ben that he was sitting on a statue in the museum.
"Oh, if only I were that lucky." Ben retorted.
"Come on Ben, can't you appreciate a good work of art?" Said Hope.
"Yeah, museums aren't my thing either. A little patience and it'll be over." Hayden declared.
"And why do you put up with it, if you don't like it?" Hope asked, turning her attention back to him.
"Just to see your beautiful eyes marvel at the works of art and some possible magical object." Hayden flirted.
Hope blushed at his answer and playfully tapped him on the shoulder, looking away.
"Ouch! Come on, Ben get down from there before I make another remark that's going to get me punched!"
Ben stepped away from the statue and climbed down from the giant foot statue where he'd been sitting, while Gwen had returned to the museum.
Then, suddenly, an alien ship whizzed by!
"Finally, some action!" Said Ben upon seeing this.
The ship landed in the city street and Vulkanus stepped out.
He looked at the crowd that had gathered, including Ben, Hayden, and Hope.
"Uh, where can I find the Bicenthium alloy?" He asks.
No one seems to understand what he's talking about.
"Oh, I understand! You're protecting him!" He deduces before hitting the ground to shake and threaten people, while Ben and Hayden seem ready to act.
"Try to keep everyone away while we deal with this guy." Hayden said, turning to Hope.
Hope nodded and began to use her magic to push people away.
"Get away! Hurry!"
Ben and Hayden ran into an alleyway, and activated their Omnitrixes to transform into Four Arms-Ben, and Hayden into Swampfire.
"Don't you have anything better?" Four Arms-Ben asked him.
"No, my Omnitrix doesn't have an alien specialized in brute force, in case you hadn't noticed after all this time." Swampfire-Hayden retorted.
Four Arms-Ben ran up and grabbed Vulkanus, trying to hold him down.
"What's a Tetramand doing here?!" Vulkanus asked.
"Tetra-what?" Four Arms-Ben asked.
"That's the name of Four Arms' species, dummy!" Swampfire-Hayden shouted, throwing seeds in their direction before plants emerged to try and immobilize Vulkanus.
But it wasn't enough, Vulkanus easily shook off Four Arms-Ben and the plants, grabbed Four Arms-Ben by the face and threw him into a building. Four Arms-Ben quickly got up and knocked Vulkanus to the ground. SixSix came out of his ship to help his sidekick, firing laser disks. This prompted Four Arms-Ben to take cover and come up with a plan of attack.
"SixSix? Oh great, I thought Tetrax had you in the slammer!" Said Swampfire-Hayden, who was wounded by the shots, but quickly recovered thanks to the species' regenerative powers.
SixSix then fired missiles at them, but Four Arms-Ben managed to avoid them, while Swampfire-Hayden shielded himself with a plant shield.
Then, by manipulating the plants, he managed to pick up some of the missiles and fire them back at the bounty hunter. SixSix avoided them, but landed on the roof of a truck.
Swampfire-Hayden climbed onto the roof of the vehicle, grabbed SixSix and knocked him out, but SixSix released a capsule that electrocuted him.
The Omnitrix symbol on his chest glowed yellow for a second, but he didn't notice it immediately.
SixSix then aimed his missile tank at Swampfire-Hayden, ready to finish him off.
Hope saw this and shot mana at SixSix, but he fired a missile at her. Sending her flying through the air in the direction of Max and Gwen, who arrived on the scene, seeing the chaos of the battle from the museum.
Max grabbed Hope and carried her to safety.
Seeing Hope shot upset Hayden, but there was nothing he could do - the constant electric shock was too strong for him to concentrate on another transformation.
SixSix directed his missile compartment again and prepared to fire.
But before he could fire another missile, he was interrupted and stopped by three new aliens arriving by teleportation.
The first appeared to be a large brain in a container and resting on an octopus-like body.
The second was a Tetramand, like Four Arms-Ben, except female.
And finally, an alien with a cape and blue skin, who appeared to be the group's leader.
SixSix was pulled from the roof of the truck by an unknown force. But Swampfire-Hayden, who was finally free of the electric shock, knew it was coming from the tentacled brain.
"Thanks, from the rescue." Said Swampfire-Hayden as he was still recovering from the electric shock.
"So much for a surprise." Said Gwen as she, Max and Hope moved forward, as did Four Arms-Ben, who had so far only tried to fight Vulkanus.
The key word was "tried", because Vulkanus would have beaten him if he hadn't gone to help SixSix up.
"Rescue formation; alpha nine!" Said the one wearing a cape.
The three newcomers head into battle.
"Capes! I hate capes!" Says Vulkanus.
The one wearing the cape headed towards SixSix and SixSix was trying to shoot him without success.
Then the female Tetramand arrived and clapped her hands to create a powerful sound wave that pushed him to the truck where Four Arms-Ben was standing. She looks at Four Arms-Ben and winks at him with her two left eyes.
Four Arms-Ben doesn't seem at all intrigued by her interest in him and grimaces.
Hope found herself looking at the female Tetramand with jealousy.
Finally, Vulkanus tried to attack the squid alien, but he used telekinesis and managed to carry him to heaven. And the one in the cape delivered the final blow.
"In accordance with the provisions of the Galactic Code of Conduct, I order you to surrender. Will you surrender?" he asked the two criminals.
"Do you really think they're going to surrender nicely after a little defeat?!" Swampfire-Hayden asked as he climbed down from the roof of the truck.
"He's right, what are you waiting for to handcuff them?!" Added Four Arms-Ben.
But they were distracted long enough for SixSix to release a flash capsule to escape. As the ship prepared to leave, it struck another blow towards the columns of a nearby building. Fortunately, Four Arms-Ben and the female Tetramand held him in place before the roof collapsed, while Swampfire-Hayden used her seeds to grow plants that helped them hold the building in place. They were aided by the squid's telekinesis, while the cape-wearer used his heat vision to join them.
"You may release your hold now." Said the Squid Alien.
Four Arms-Ben and the female Tetramand let go, and as Four Arms-Ben walked away, she caught up with him.
"So, what's a big, strong alien like you doing on a planet like this?" She asked
She put an arm around his shoulders, making him wince and try to pull away.
"Well, Ben. You've made a friend, I see." Swampfire-Hayden teased before seeing Hope and rushing over to her to see if she was hurt.
"I'm fine, Hayden." She said, blushing at the attention he offered her.
"I'm worried, though. You took a missile. It might have been small, but imagine if it had exploded in your head." Swampfire-Hayden retorted, genuinely concerned for her.
"They're both cute." Gwen laughed before turning her attention to something even funnier: Four Arms-Ben being hit on by the female Tetramand.
"Uh..." Four Arms-Ben began before the Omnitrix symbol began to beep. "Yes! Saved by the beep!"
In a flash of light, he becomes Ben again.
"Hey, how did you get so small?" Asked the female Tetramand.
"Uh, sorry. I'm just a kid. I just have a few extra hands now and then." Ben explained, pointing to the Omnitrix as Hayden became human again.
Squid alien: "So, is it true? The Omnitrix is in the possession of a child. And there's a second one. We've heard you have somewhat limited mental capacities, my boy... No offense." Said the squid alien.
"Don't worry, he's used to it." Gwen commented.
Ben rolled his eyes at Gwen's joke, while Hope and Hayden stopped themselves from laughing.
"As for you, young man. Rumors of your fight with Vilgax have been heard all over the galaxy." Said the squid alien, looking at Hayden. "And the gladiators of Slix Vigma praised both of you for your escape, back home."
"It makes me happy to know they're back home." Hayden smiles.
"Greetings. I'm Ultimos, the Specimen Prime. These are my compatriots, Synaptak and Tini." Said the cloaked alien as he introduced the squid alien and the female Tetramand, respectively.
"We are; The Galactic Enforcers!" Said Ultimos proudly as the alien trio struck a pose.
Their pose didn't seem to intrigue Gwen, Max, Hope, or even Hayden too much, but Ben was absolutely blown away by their appearance. Hope couldn't help smiling when she saw her friend so excited. He was like a child in front of a mascot of his favorite character at an amusement park.
"Wow! You guys are great! The uniforms, the moves, finally! More superheroes!" Says Ben.
"Very cartoonish superheroes." Commented Hayden, looking at his Omnitrix to see that the hourglass symbol verse on the dial was now yellow. "Its scanned an alien? But which one?" He thought.
He might have been a fan of comic books and superhero movies. But he assumed that in reality it was a little awkward to pose during the presentation.
"Could we ask your names?" Ultimos asked.
"My name is Ben Tennyson. This is Hayden, Hope, my cousin Gwen and my grandfather Max." Introduced Ben.
"Excellent. In accordance with the Galactic Code of Conduct, we request permission to operate in your territory?" Said Ultimos.
"Uh... sure." Ben agreed.
"Then we have much to discuss." Said Ultimos, pressing the buckle on his belt.
This teleported them all in for a chat.
In space, a floating ship was close to Earth. They were teleported inside the ship. Ben continued to be delighted to be with them.
"Wow, this is so cool. It's nice to be in space without having to worry about fighting in a gladiator pit with Kevin strapped to my leg..." Says Ben.
"For the record, I agree." Hayden commented before refocusing on the main topic. "Ultimos, we fought SixSix a while back, can you tell us what's going on? How did he escape from prison?"
"How do you know Mr. Gadget's name?" Gwen asked, but her question was ignored.
"Very well." Ultimo nodded, pointing to a hologram of SixSix on a table. "SixSix was able to escape incarceration by using his various skills and joined forces with Vulkanus."
SixSix's hologram changed to that of Vulkanus.
"Vulkanus is a Detrovite, who has limited mental capacities. All muscle, no brain." Synaptak commented, looking at Ben for a quick comparison.
"Calling him an idiot once is fun. The second time, it's annoying when it's someone who doesn't know him." Hayden commented, glowering at the squid alien who looked away.
"SixSix and Vulkanus were hired by a crime boss to steal Element X." Ultimos revealed, as if the group of humans knew what it was.
"I suppose it's bad?" Gwen asked after a few seconds of silence.
"Indeed it is. When combined with a compound known as Bicenthium, it creates a massive explosion, which can destroy an entire solar system." Ultimos explained.
"Incredible. Imagine that kind of power and how it all works." Said Gwen.
"What I'm wondering is: where are they now?" Hope asked.
"I'll send drones to look for them. That should yield results." Synaptak replied.
"Is there anything we can do to help?" Gwen asked.
"Easy Gwen, Synaptak has it all planned out." Said Ben, to which Gwen replied with an irritated look.
Synaptak sent observers to find SixSix and Vulkanus.
"In the meantime, would you like a tour of the ship?" Ultimos asked.
"Can I really?!" Ben asked.
"Do you want to?" Ultimos asked.
"Uh, yes, I do." Replied Ben, as excited as a fat kid in a candy store.
Ben, Hayden and Hope follow Ultimos, but when Gwen and Max try to follow him, he says.
"I'm sorry, but the Galactic Code of Conduct prohibits civilians in secure areas of the ship. Wearing the Omnitrix and its magical abilities make Ben, Hayden and Hope heroes. That's why they're not affected by this ban." Ultimos apologized.
"But we've been helping them since the very beginning! And Grandpa was a plumber!" Retorted Gwen, clearly angry.
"I'm sorry, but the Galactic Code of Conduct is very clear on this subject, and our mission is to respect it." Ultimos apologized again, while Gwen was clearly angry about this.
"Ultimos, can't you break the rules just this once?" Hayden asked.
"No, the Code..."
"Okay, we get it." Said Hope.
Ben, Hayden and Hope were then given a tour of the ship, showing different rooms that The Galactic Enforcers used on a daily basis.
Training rooms, games room, kitchen, bathroom, living quarters, etc...
Towards the end of the tour, Ben, Hayden and Hope looked out the window at Earth.
"It's a nice view, isn't it?" Hope asked, hoping for an answer from Hayden as Ben remained fascinated by the view of Earth from space.
But she received no answer.
She turned her head to see that her friend wasn't looking at Earth, but at space itself, a trembling hand resting on the window.
"Are you... are you okay?" She asked.
"Huh?!" Hayden said quickly, realizing that Hope was talking to him. "Uh... yeah, I'm fine." He said quickly.
But she didn't believe a word of it, and let him know with a skeptical look.
"Do you want to talk about it?" she asked.
"I... I don't know..." Hayden replied shyly, looking away.
"That's all right. If you ever want to talk about it, I'm here." Hope smiled.
"Thanks." Hayden smiled back, looking into her eyes.
For a moment, they remained lost in each other's gaze, until...
"Ben, Hayden, Hope, I want to show you something." Ultimos said, breaking off the "intimate" moment between the two teenagers.
He then led them to a very large book on a table.
"This is the Galactic Code of Conduct. Ultimos explained.
"Wow. That's a big book." Said Ben.
"It looks bigger and heavier than my schoolbag in high school...and I practically destroyed my back with it." Hayden commented.
"Indeed you did. It contains all the rules we Galactic Enforcers abide by as we scour the galaxy to save the day." Ultimos explained.
An alarm then sounded, signaling that the observers had found something!
They returned to where they had appeared in the ship to see what the observers had found.
It was SixSix and Vulkanus in a mine and they seem to be looking for iron ore.
SixSix was shouting something to Vulkanus as he lifted a very large container in his arms.
"Yeah, well it would go a lot faster if you helped!" Vulkanus retorted.
"It's an open-pit mine. They must be looking for iron ore! So this is Bicenthium?" Max realized.
"Indeed it is. We'd better hurry. But we could use some help. Ben, Hayden and Hope, would you like a temporary commission in Guardians of the Galaxy?" Ultimos offered.
"Good idea." Added Tini.
"Bad idea." Synaptak retorted.
"It looks like I'm the deciding vote... Let's go pick you some uniforms!"
Ben gave an excited look, while the two teenagers winced slightly.
A few minutes later, Ben jumped into an outfit like Ultimos', but a little too big for him.
"I present to you Ultra-Ben! From the Galactic Enforcers!" Ben said as he stepped forward, but tripped over his cape. "I wanted to do that."
Hope stepped out, holding a revealing suit of Tetramand armor that was his size.
"Uh, I'm not wearing that. At least not... in this context." She said.
"Very well, then. You can keep it though, as the armor is too small for Tini." Ultimos declared.
"She can keep it. I've got plenty of other armors that fit me better." Tini agreed.
"What about you, Hayden?" Ultimos asked.
"That's kind of you, but I'll stick to my usual outfit. The uniform style isn't really my style... I'll have to think about changing the jacket for a trench coat." Hayden replied, his last statement more of a personal note.
"As you wish. Ultimos agreed.
"What about us?" Max asked.
"I'm afraid the Galactic Code of Conduct is very clear about civilian participation. You'll be much safer here." replied the leader of the Galactic Enforcers.
Synaptak forms a barrier to keep Max and Gwen on the bridge.
"Hey!" Gwen shouts.
"Ultimos, I really think we could use their help over there." Said Ben.
"He's right. I think without Max and Gwen we could have died a lot. They don't have any powers, but they're still a great help." Hayden added.
"I'm sorry, but..." Ultimos began.
"Yeah, yeah, we get it, the code doesn't allow it." Hope retorted, clearly annoyed by Ultimos' easy compliance.
"Indeed."
"Don't worry, we'll be back after we've kicked SixSix's ass." Said Ben crunched before biting into a piece of chocolate.
"Hey, Ultimos, want some?" He offered.
"Ah, the local cuisine? I wouldn't want to offend the customs of your planet." Says Ultimos, taking a bite as they teleport to the open-cast mine.
SixSix and Vulkanus continued to search for the ore.
SixSix said something in his own language.
"Once the ore has been purified, it can be fused with element X. And then; BOOM! The galaxy will be at our feet." Vulkanus gloated.
That's when the Galactic Enforcers arrive and sneak up on them.
"Now we've got them! Now we can catch them completely... Ultimos?!" Ben said, before becoming alarmed when he saw the condition of the Galactic Enforcers' leader.
He looked weak and thin.
"C-cold. S-s-so, c-c-c-cold." He said in a trembling voice.
Ultimos collapsed into Synaptak's arms.
"Oh my God." Said Hope.
"What's happening to him?!" Ben asked.
"It appears to be supercritatinite poisoning. But how? Wait, what's that?" Synaptak asked, finding chocolate in the corner of Ultimos's mouth.
"Chocolate?" Hayden asked.
"I just gave him some. I was just trying to be polite!" Ben explained.
"You did?! I knew you couldn't be trusted!" Synaptak shouted.
"Hey, how could we have known it was toxic to him?!" Hope retorted.
"Yeah. In case the tentacle brain hasn't noticed, Earth is pretty much out of the galaxy as far as peaceful alien presence goes. So knowing what foods are lethal to an alien species is a little out of our league." Hayden retorted.
"That's enough of that. I'm taking the lead on this mission! And when it's over, Ben, we'll put you behind bars." Synaptak said, before stepping out into the open. "Galactic Enforcers; engage the fight!"
Vulkanus and SixSix were alerted to the presence of their enemies.
On the ship, Max and Gwen watched what was happening.
Max caught his hand in his face.
"No wonder plumbers don't talk to these idiots." Max thought to himself.
"Seriously, who announces themselves to the bad guys?!" Gwen asked.
"What are you doing?!" Ben asked.
"As temporary leader of the Galactic Enforcers, I must announce our presence with authority!" Synaptak replied.
"Even if we were trying to surprise them?" Hope asked.
"... So what?" Synaptak asked.
"I don't know about you, but I don't want to be sent to another world by Truck-kun..." Replied Hayden. Hayden replied, pointing at the truck launched in their direction by Vulkanus.
Ben and Tini prepared to be crushed while Hayden and Hope stayed by Ultimos' side, but Synaptak managed to stop them in place with his telekinesis and sent them off.
"We order you both to surrender!" Synaptak shouted.
"Are you stupid? It didn't work last time, why would it work now?!" Hayden shouted.
They all took cover as SixSix fired at them.
"Are you finally going to turn into a Tetramand?" Tini asked Ben.
"Not if I can avoid it." Ben replied before turning his attention to Hayden. "And you're going to turn into SnakeEyes?"
"I'd rather not. He doesn't attract the attention I want, so I save him for big emergencies." Hayden replied, activating his Omnitrix, whose dial had finally turned green.
He then crushed the core of his Omnitrix and transformed himself into a... Sotoraggian?!
Hayden was now the same species as SixSix!
But really looked like SixSix, but with the Omnitrix symbol on his chest and bright green eyes.
"So that's why it was yellow." He said as if he didn't know the reason, but still surprised to have SixSix's appearance.
"You must have picked up SixSix's DNA!" Said Hope, surprised.
"You're a Sotoraggian. That could prove useful."
"Come on, my turn." Said Ben, activating his Omnitrix.
"No, Ben." Said Hayden, interrupting him. "You're going to stay here and protect Ultimos, in his current state, he's an easy target. Take cover and if one of them finds you and attacks you, you transform and take them out."
Ben wanted to protest at first. But he agreed, remembering that the current state of the head of the Galactic Enforcers was his fault, and left with Ultimos.
"Hmm, well... then..." Hayden pondered before drawing up a plan of action. "Tini, since you're the one with the best chance of defeating Vulkanus in close combat, you take care of him while I take care of SixSix. Hope, cover me."
Hope nodded in agreement.
"I don't think you've been appointed temporary leader." Synaptak said.
"Considering your previous actions as a leader, leave it to those with real leadership experience. You'll just have to watch and learn." Hayden retorted.
Then they all dispersed.
Hayden pulled a grappling hook from his arm, as if he'd always known how to do that, pulling SixSix down, with Hope hurling magic at SixSix.
SixSix dodged as he and Hayden initiated the fight, their fists striking again and again. It looked like a draw!
Tini managed to overpower Vulkanus for a moment and headed for Hayden. Instead of attacking SixSix!
"No! I have a duty to protect you!" She declares.
Eventually, she was struck in the head, causing her to fall to the ground.
"How stupid is this team?!" Hope shouted.
"I don't know, but whoever's in charge of recruiting needs to be fired and replaced by someone more selective... and severe." Hayden commented.
Synaptak almost defeated Vulkanus, but SixSix managed to neutralize him with an electric net!
Without their team-mates, Hayden and Hope were cornered and trying to figure out what to do next.
"We have to help them!" Gwen shouted.
"All right. I'll set the teleporter coordinates based on their location, so we can help them." Said Max.
As SixSix tried to shoot Hayden, he couldn't seem to aim directly at him, as Hayden's enhanced senses made this more difficult.
He is eventually brought to the ground by Hope, who uses her magic to do so.
Hayden fired at SixSix with some blasters he had on him, but he narrowly dodged the attacks!
Max and Gwen arrived on Earth after that, only to find themselves under a falling vehicle!
Hayden saw this and activated a jetpack, flying out just in time to save them.
SixSix ordered Vulkanus to retrieve the container in which they'd recovered enough iron ore, and SixSix triggered a landslide to try and slow the team down! And as if that weren't enough, that's when Hayden turns back into Ben!
"Shit!" Hayden shouted as he realized he had no alien capable of stopping this.
Even XLR8 wouldn't be fast enough to get everyone to the right height, especially with Tini trapped in a container and unconscious.
All the heroes gather round as the landslide heads their way!
"What are we going to do?" Hope asked.
"I'll do it!"
They turned to see Ben move forward until he was in front of everyone, while Ultimos advanced feebly before being stopped by Hayden, who helped him to his feet.
"I'm the only one who can do it! I'm the only one who can protect Tini!" Ben said.
"Are you kidding us?" Gwen asked.
But when he winked at her, she saw what he was trying to do.
Synaptak rushed past them all to put a barrier around the whole group!
Ben had done this to irritate Synaptak into action.
Fortunately, they all survived the battle.
"Well, we lost SixSix and Vulkanus!" Said Hope.
"Is there anything else that could spoil this day?" Asked Gwen.
"Well, with the mix of elements ready, all they need to bind it is extreme heat." Synaptak explained.
"And to top it all off, we're in an area with such a facility." Said Max.
"Then we have to stop them!"
Ultimos rose to his feet and stepped forward, having finally regained his strength.
"Indeed, but the Galactic Code of Conduct stipulates..."
"Do you really think that following the code will stop them from blowing everything up?! They've brought us nothing but trouble! This time, we do it our way!" Said Ben, standing next to Gwen, Max, Hayden and Hope.
Inside the mill, Vulkanus was looking for the purest iron mix to blend with element X.
The Galactic Enforcers arrived just in time!
Ben activated the Omnitrix and transformed into Cannonbolt, while Hayden was still a Sotoraggian. They would soon be attacking SixSix!
Gwen, for her part, decided to play with the recipe while all this was going on, with Hope and Max keeping an eye on her.
Cannonbolt headed for SixSix, but SixSix shot at him and knocked him into the burning liquid metal. Synaptak arrived in time to carry him off before he was practically burned alive by the temperature of the molten metal. Meanwhile, Hayden attacked SixSix with the same arsenal as himself.
Ultimos and Tini fought Vulkanus, exchanging blows with him before throwing him into the burning metal! He manages to survive this and crawls out.
Meanwhile, Synaptak, Hayden and Cannonbolt fight SixSix, and SixSix throws a whip, which he uses to catch Synaptak.
As he tried to throw him, Hayden cut the whip with the circular saw on the back of his hand, while Cannonbolt came to the tentacled brain's rescue, catching him as he uncoiled and rolled a good distance.
Vulkanus then launched a large metal ball, which destroyed the mixture's controls.
The team finally managed to work together and finish the fight, dropping liquid metal on SixSix and Vulkanus, while Ultimos cooled it, freezing them with Hope's help using a freezing spell.
Later, the Galactic Enforcers transported Vulkanus and SixSix incarcerated on their ship.
Hayden was tempted to scan Vulkanus, so as to finally have an alien with great physical strength. But he remembered one tiny detail: under the armor, Vulkanus was the size of a baby. And he didn't want to risk having just the body and not the armor too.
"Sorry for the misunderstanding, Tini." Ben apologized.
"It's all right. I've met someone else!" Said Tini.
As expected, Synaptak floated over to Tini and smiled.
Ben simply laughed as they boarded their ship. Ultimos approached Ben, Hayden and Hope.
"I'm intrigued by your fighting methods. You've given us food for thought about our own methods. And that's why I'm promoting you both to the rank of full Galactic Enforcers!" He said, handing each of them a badge.
But Ben put it back in his hand.
"I'd rather not. I've got my own team." He said.
"Nevertheless, we appreciate the offer." Said Hope as Hayden nodded, showing he was of the same mind.
"At least keep them. Until we meet again." Ultimos smiles.
The Galactic Enforcers leave on their ship.
"I thought you liked them? And you turned them down? Hayden and Hope I can understand, but you, that's beyond me." Gwen asked as she approached Ben.
"Uh, they were pretty cool, but I'm better off with my own team."
"Same here." Hayden and Hope said at the same time.
All five smiled at each other as they looked up at the departing ship.
Later in the Rust Bucket, Hayden, Ben, Gwen and Hope debated what to name Hayden's new alien.
"ZeroOne?" Gwen suggested.
"Already taken."
"TenTen?" Ben suggested.
"Pretty good. But, I don't think I'll go with a number that's pronounced twice."
"SixtyNine?" Hope suggested innocently, which made Max react and cough violently.
"Uh... if I do that, my credibility will be dead." Hayden retorted after having almost the same reaction as Max.
"Why?" Ben and Gwen asked.
"You'll understand when you're older." Hayden replied as Hope blushed, taking in the hint.
"Hmm... seeing as SixSix is a bounty hunter... why not... MandoFett." Hayden offered, earning a thumbs-up from Ben while Gwen and Hope wondered what he was referring to.
"Oh, nice Star Wars reference." Said Max.
"Thanks, Max!"
Later that evening, Hope was in the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror as she wore the armor Tini had given her.
"Hmm, I don't look half bad." She said.
She didn't notice Hayden open the door, widen his eyes and slowly close it again, his face flushed.
" I can die in peace." He thought as he sat down on his bunk.
