Chapter 32: The Last Problem
Nearly twenty moons have passed as every creature now coexists in friendship and harmony from ponies, griffons, yaks, dragons, changelings, hippogriffs, kirins, to bunyips. Canterlot has now grown as all the citizens of Equestria enjoyed themselves.
(Scene changes)
In the Canterlot throne room, the door opens as Spike, now all grown up, walks in.
"I got here as soon as I could, guys, but friendship ambassador is a full-time job these days." Spike said. "Making peace between Abyssinians and the Diamond Dogs has not been easy."
"That's why we picked you for the job." Twilight said, looking through a list as she passed it to Chase.
Over the years, Twilight has also grown up into Celestia's structure with a flowing mane and tail, has a new crown, necklace, and golden shoes.
Chase has grown up into Kon's structure with a flowing mane and tail, slight muscle body while keeping his ninja gear, wearing a black kimono, white pants, wearing his medallion, a new crown, and of course he grew a circle beard.
He nodded to the EEA member, and the alicorn couple went up to Spike.
"But we're glad you could come." Twilight said and they hugged each other.
"So what's the emergency?" Spike asked as they flew to their thrones.
"Well, it's not much of an emergency, but we think it might be serious." Chase answered.
"Ever since we took over Celestia's school, our focus has been on teaching magic." Twilight said. "But now it seems our top student has missed the most important lesson of all."
"What do you mean?" Spike asked.
"Let's just say it'll be good to have my royal advisor and friendship ambassador by my side with my husband." Twilight said as she smiled at Spike and then to Chase, who smiled back at his wife.
"Your majesties." Gallus' voice said, gaining their attention to see him and Mako now members of the Royal Guard. "She's here as well as your children."
"Just as you requested." Mako said.
"Send them in, Gallus and Mako." Twilight said and smiled fondly. "I'm also certain that our children are excited to see us."
"If you boys would do the honors." Chase requested with a smile.
Gallus and Mako bowed as the griffon opened the other door revealing a unicorn and two alicorns. The unicorn mare was a little nervous while the two alicorns were excited to see their parents.
The first Unicorn has a light pinkish coat with a mane and tail mixed with rising sunlight colors, and has her mane tied into a ponytail, golden yellow eyes, and a cutie mark of a rising sun. Her name was Luster Dawn.
The second one was an alicorn stallion that had Twilight's fur coat, has Chase's mane and tail style, green eyes, carrying a single katana and a sai, and a cutie mark showing a yin yang symbol with the katana sword crossing with the sai. This was Twilight and Chase's older son, Darius Hisomi.
Finally, the third was an alicorn mare, slightly small then Darius, who resembled Twilight quite a lot except she had a light brown fur coat, purple eyes, her mane and tail style like her mother's, purple eyes, carrying a katana sword and a tanto blade, and her cutie mark shows a yin yang symbol with a spirit bunyip. This was Chase and Twilight's younger daughter and Darius' little sister, Melody Spirit.
From the past twenty moons, Twilight had given birth to another alicorn and it was a filly.
The three enter the throne room.
"Hi, Mom." Melody said to Twilight with a smile.
"Hi, Dad." Darius said to Chase with a smile as well.
"Your majesties." Luster said as the three bowed in respect to the taller alicorns.
"Luster, we may be the ruler of Equestria, but we're still just your teachers." Twilight said. "And we're still your parents, Melody and Darius."
"There's no need to be formal all the time, you three." Chase said as he chuckled with Twilight. "It doesn't have to be all necessary."
"We know, Dad." Darius said. "But we just can't get enough of it."
"It's never that easy since you're both our teachers at Celestia's School of Magic." Melody added sheepishly.
"And you've been wonderful. I've enjoyed every moment at the School of Magic with your children." Luster said and became unsure with the last part on her mind. "But I'm not sure it's the right place for me."
"I see." Twilight said, sensing something familiar as she and Chase smiled amusingly, the alicorn stallion already knowing where this was going.
"Would it be with how well you've been doing to get great grades?" Chase asked with a calm smile.
"Yes, Master. And it's not the work." Luster said. "I could spend weeks in the library doing research. It's just that there's a lot of focus on making friends."
"And the fact that we've been with her since we were kids." Darius said, slightly annoyed by something as Meldoy looked at Luster with an unamused look.
"If that's your problem, you've come to the right place." Spike said.
"Actually, there is a problem." Darius said. "But it's mainly with her."
"Completely, her." Melody said.
"But that's just it." Luster said. "I don't want to make friends."
"What?!" Spike exclaimed in shock as Chase and Twilight turned to him with a light glare while they each raised a brow and he clears his throat.
"So you'd rather leave the School of Magic than make friends?" Twilight questioned.
"What exactly is on your mind?" Chase asked curiously.
"Well, Master Chase, I was hoping to set up an independent course of study." Luster said. "I want to accomplish as much as you and your wife have someday."
"It'll be hard to do that without friends and find a love in your life." Spike said.
"I'm not so sure." Luster said doubtful. "Friendship looks like more of a distraction than anything else and ultimately a waste of time."
Darius and Melody had upset looks from hearing that while glaring at Luster.
"What?!" Spike exclaimed in shock as Chase and Twilight leaned away from him slightly.
"You're telling me." Darius said annoyingly as he rolled his eyes.
"I know you two, your family, and your friends accomplished a lot together, but that was so long ago, especially when Zhao and his Quinkan army took over the world, and as far as I can see, you both rule by yourselves now." Luster said.
"Uh, hello?" Spike said as he held his medal out. "Royal advisor right here."
"And I don't think there's anything wrong with that." Luster quickly said. "In fact, I think it's better. Plus, if friendships ultimately fade, why even make them in the first place?"
"You know what, Luster Dawn?" Twilight said and smiled simply. "You're right."
"WHAT?!" Spike exclaimed in horror and he dropped to his knees, thinking Twilight has lost it as Chase just chuckled in amusement.
*Main theme*
"Friendship is more trouble than it's worth?!" Spike said as he turned to Chase and Twilight. "This is your top student?"
"Uh... Yeah, I think I missed the part with how that was supposed to help." Darius said.
"Now, now, Darius. I think Luster has more to learn than what she needs." Chase said calmly yet amusingly as he and Twilight flew down to them.
"Friendships take work, and there's no guarantee they'll last." Twilight said.
She and Chase walk off as Luster, Melody and Darius follow the royal alicorn couple.
"They can be complicated." Twilight said. "They can be messy. And they never go the way you plan."
"And they always take time to heal when the time comes." Chase added.
They walked by several stained windows, one of which was Flurry all grown up and taking her mother's place as Princess of the Crystal Empire. The Young Nine defeated a turtle like creature, and the defeat of Chrysalis, Cozy, Tirek, Zhao, the Quinkan, Kai, Tai Lung, and Celtic.
"Friendship is a hard thing to navigate." Twilight said as they got to the stained windows of her and Chase when they became princess and prince as well as Chase gaining the Alicorn Master of Jiu Jitsu title. "I remember the first time I realized it might not last forever after our victory against Emperor Zhao."
"What happened, Mom?" Melody asked her mother with concern.
"Well, honey. It wasn't that long ago for the past twenty moons when your mother and I became what we are now." Chase said as his children and Luster turned to him while Twilight smiled at her husband. "It started way back before you grew up Darius and before we had you, Melody, since our coronation was going to begin…"
Flashback
About twenty years ago, Spike checks off an item of a list as today was Twilight and Chase's coronation of being the new Princess and Prince of Equestria and the castle has been long rebuilt.
At the moment, Twilight runs through the hall panting and yelping as she runs, making sure everything is packed when they move back to Canterlot as Chase was rocking Baby Darius gently side to side while watching his wife with Nyx beside her father.
"Twilight?" Spike asked as he frowned. "Uh, I'm pretty sure that's everything."
"Yeah, we've done everything and packed up for the road. The castle isn't going anywhere." Chase added as he held Darius close to him as his son coed.
"I'm just doing a final check, Spike and Chase." Twilight said as she rushed by.
"But we did a final check." Spike reminded. "Of every room. Twice."
"Honey, there's definitely no need to do some sort of Twilighting routine again since you've managed to get it together." Chase added as Twilight rushed by again into a room.
"Ah-ha!" Twilight beamed while using her magic to hold a Power Pony comic. She trots over to her family and Spike before shoving it in the baby dragon's face. "See? An issue of Power Ponies. Now, aren't you glad we triple-checked?"
"Thanks, but I already read this one." Spike said. "I don't need to take it to Canterlot."
"No-no-no!" Twilight denied. "You love Power Ponies. We're taking it."
Then Twilight took the comic from him and rushed to the library as she placed it the box. Chase, Baby Darius, Spike, and Nyx walked into the room as they joined the alicorn mare.
"Really, Twilight, we don't have to bring the comic." Spike said. "I'm not even sure how much longer I'll collect them. A lot is changing, and I am getting older."
"Just because things change doesn't mean you leave everything you love behind!" Twilight said as she sighed and drops onto a box.
"You're not still worried about ruling Equestria with Chase, are you?" Spike asked.
"Mom, is there something else that you're more concerned about other than the coronation?" Nyx asked her mother with concern.
"No, sweetie." Twilight answered. "I know it took some time, but I've never been more ready for anything in my life with Chase. Just because we're ready to sit on the throne in Canterlot, doesn't mean I'm ready to leave Ponyville." She brought out a newspaper and looked through it. "When we were all fighting to save Equestria from the Quinkan, Zhao, Kai, Tai Lung, Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow, I was too busy to think about it. But now it's all happening at once."
"What is?" Spike asked.
"About what, Twilight?" Chase asked curiously as he wrapped a foreleg around his wife.
"The coronation." Twilight said. "Moving. Leaving our friends, honey."
"I thought we'd all be ruling Equestria together." Spike said.
"And we're gonna be closer to each other more often as well, right?" Nyx asked with hope and concern
"Of course we will, but it won't be the same." Twilight said. "They all have lives here. We're moving away and they're not, and I can't help but feel like we're leaving them behind. What if we all just drift apart?"
"I guess I hadn't thought about it like that." Spike admitted. "Maybe you and Chase should talk to them. I bet they're feeling the same way."
Twilight turns to him.
"You're right, Spike." Twilight said as she smiled, feeling better. "Thanks. Sometimes talking to a good friend is all it takes."
She ruffled his head spine and hugs him as she turns to Chase.
"And Chase, would you mind being by my side all the way? I could really use your comfort." Twilight asked with a smile as Chase chuckled and handed Baby Darius over to Nyx, who accepted it while holding her baby brother in her forelegs.
"Anything for you… my queen." Chase said as Twilight giggled before they shared a loving nuzzle with each other.
(Scene changes)
At Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack placed a lid on a crate of applejuice and placed a mark for it. Clay placed a lid on another crate with apples, and marked a different stamp. Applejack placed a lid over a crate of applesauce and stamped a different mark.
Applejack checks off the list as Clay and Big Mac load the crates onto a wagon.
"So, you're not worried about how things might change with me and Chase living in Canterlot with our family?" Twilight asked.
"Aren't you guys just the least bit concerned for us?" Chase added.
"Of course not." Applejack said. "Change is natural, like the season. That's just life on the farm."
"I guess so." Twilight said feeling crestfallen as Chase placed a forehoof on his wife's shoulder for comfort.
"Anyhoo, Clay and I really need to get all these boxes packed and sorted." Applejack said. "There's a lot more work now what the folks beyond Equestria are comin' to the coronation, too."
With that, Applejack walks off as Chase sighed and Twilight felt sad. While finishing up with the load, Clay noticed that the alicorn couple were feeling upset and became concerned for them.
(Scene changes)
Later, they met up with Pinkie in her party cave.
"Worried? Pfft!" Pinkie said as she scoffed. "No way! After everything we've been through to fight off the Quinkan? No way. Unless you're both talking about the coronation, because then yes. Obviously the cakes are handled, but there's the whole rest of the party to stay on top of." She leans over to Chase and Twilight with a whisper. "And honestly, I'm not convinced Gummy really took care of the fireworks."
Close by, Gummy stood on a box with a lit sparkler in his mouth and blinked slowly.
"Right." Chase said a bit weird for all of a sudden.
"But what about after the coronation?" Twilight asked. "Don't you think things are gonna be different?"
"Don't you feel like you're not the least bit concerned for what will happen next, Pinkie?" Chase asked the pink pony.
"Well, Chase, since I'll be in charge of all the Canterlot galas from now on, I'll have to go there a lot more." Pinkie said, digging through a drawer. "So I guess that's different, but I don't think I mind."
"No. Of course not." Twilight said sadly as Chase nuzzled his wife gently and she snuggled back in return.
(Scene changes)
Later that day, Twilight, Chase, Nyx, Baby Darius, and Spike met up with Fluttershy and Sokka at their sanctuary as some hummingbirds and butterflies flew around the alicorn couple. Some white doves appeared as well, and 2 swans flew down as they placed a crown made of twigs each on Chase and Twilight's heads while the alicorn mare held Baby Darius in her foreleg.
"Wonderful work, everyone!" Fluttershy clapped her hooves. "We couldn't be more ready. Josephine, if you and the rest of the doves leave now, we should all arrive in Canterlot at the same time."
Josephine and the other doves flew off to Canterlot.
"Eloise and Hubert, you should go, too." Sokka said to the swan pair. "I know it's a long way, but don't worry. We'll bring plenty of snacks to restore your energy before we perform."
Eloise and Hubert flew off to Canterlot.
"Everyone else gets to ride since the trip's too much for your little wings." Fluttershy said as the hummingbirds and butterflies went in their own cages. "We need everyone in tip-top shape for the coronation."
"I'm glad we got the chance for one last rehearsal." Fluttershy said, turning to Twilight and Chase. "Everyone's so excited. But I can't imagine anypony's more excited than you. Moving to Canterlot. Being crowded. Raising your son. I can't think of a single bad thing of it!"
"Aren't you guys sure that there isn't anything else that's making you concerned?" Chase asked the two with a concerned look.
"Not at all, buddy. We're just happy that you and Twilight are going to live a happy life in Canterlot so that you guys can raise Darius there. Besides, we don't think there's anything wrong." Sokka assured Chase with a smile he and Fluttershy shared.
"Yeah. Me, neither." Twilight said nervously as she laughed.
Twilight felt sad as Spike placed a hand on her shoulder as Chase and Nyx hugged her for comfort as Baby Darius coed sadly as his mother held her son close to her. Sokka noticed how upset Twilight was and became concerned for her and Chase.
(Scene changes)
Later, they went over to the Wonderbolt HQ as Rainbow was helping the Wonderbolts with a move for when Twilight and Chase had their crowns placed.
"In three, two, one, and..." Rainbow said.
At her count, two Wonderbolts rushed by them, and then two more leaving a trail of smoke in the same colors of Twilight and Chase's mane.
Surprise and Silver Zoom flew to each other and did a backflip, same with Lightning Streak and Misty. But Soarin and Spitfire crashed into each other, and started falling.
Rainbow quickly rushed off and drags a large cloud as the two landed on it.
"Look, Rainbow Dash." Spitfire said lifting her goggles up. "I know this is important to you, and we want the routine to be special, but are you sure it needs to be this complicated?"
"Yeah, Dash. I think we already got it covered. Do you really want it to be perfect for Chase and Twilight?" Soarin asked his marefriend.
"Of course!" Rainbow said to Spitfire and Soarin. "And I know we can pull it off!" She turns to Chase and Twilight. "Sorry, Twilight and Chase. I don't have time to talk. We've got a lot more work to do before the coronation."
Chase just groaned slightly in frustration and Twilight sighed sadly.
(Scene changes)
After leaving the Wonderbolt Academy, the five met up with Rarity as she finishes up with Twilight's dress. The gown was a purplish blue color with a pale purple lace around the waist and silver shoes.
"Darlings, change is an integral part of fashion." Rarity said. "I myself am considering opening boutiques for non-ponies. Things must evolve, or they become stale. For example..."
Rarity went over and pulls off a cover revealing a cage with two Star Spiders spinning their silk for a new material Rarity came up with.
"Gee, Rarity. I didn't know you were that good with handling Star Spiders. How'd you get the idea for them to help you?" Chase said while looking at the spiders with Twilight.
"Well, Chase, darling. I was just struck with a sudden inspiration to change my design for your gown by including the webs of these Star Spiders." Rarity said. "They glow for a short while after they're spun. They won't have much time to weave the sash, but the effect will be dazzling. You see, darlings? Change can be fabulous if you embrace it!"
Chase, Nyx, Baby Darius, Twilight, and Spike leave as Rarity continues working on the gown.
(Scene changes)
Later, Twilight was in the library as it was all cleared out and she sat alone. The doors opened as Spike, Nyx, Chase, and Baby Darius entered.
"Starlight is supposed to come over soon." Spike said. "There's a little something we wanted to give you and Chase before we leave."
"And we're probably certain that it won't take that long either. My family is also going to be next to us for a medal of honor for our heroic deeds as well." Chase added before they noticed Twilight was still sad, and Spike saw she had the Power Pony comic in front of her.
"You know, what?" Spike said, grabbing it. "I think you're right, Twilight. I should take my comics to Canterlot. We can't leave the Power Ponies behind."
"I don't think the Power Ponies care, Spike." Twilight said sadly. "Just like all of our friends."
"At least Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio do care about how we've been feeling." Chase said as Twilight smiled at her husband sadly and the two alicorns shared a loving hug.
Nyx and Spike hug Twilight as well to comfort her when Applejack's shadow appeared.
"All right, Twilight and Chase." Applejack said. "Are you both ready?"
Chase and Twilight turn to her.
"We all wanted to see you guys off, but there's still a lot to do." Applejack said as the others appeared.
"Aren't you coming on the train?" Spike asked.
"What's on your schedule for the coronation?" Nyx asked while holding Baby Darius close to her.
"Clay and I gotta go with Big Mac so we can go over our packin' list or we won't know who gets what deliveries." Applejack said.
"We just need to make sure that he doesn't get them all mixed up as well." Clay added with his wife.
"And I'm gonna meet the Wonderbolts so we can go over the routine one last time." Rainbow said.
"I'm going with Gummy." Pinkie said. "He said he knows when the fireworks display should start, but does anypony really believe that?!"
"Sokka and I still need to pick up food for the swans and doves who flew ahead to Canterlot." Fluttershy said as Sokka nodded in agreement. "If we don't get them fed, they'll be too beat to perform."
"Yeah, and we're gonna be really busy in Canterlot." Sokka added with a smile.
"Well, my husband and I will be living in Canterlot alone with our new family." Twilight said. "Might as well take the train alone, too." She begins to leave with Chase by her side. "Bye, I guess."
"We'll see you guys around." Chase added as he and Twilight walked off.
"Oh, you won't be traveling alone, darling." Rarity said as she rushed up to the two alicorns. "I'll have just enough time on the train to weave the Star Spider sash for your gown. But we should leave now."
She starts escorting Chase and Twilight down the hall.
"There's no time to dawdle if you two want the coronation to be perfect." Rarity said, which Twilight and Chase had enough as they had angry looks on their faces.
"That's the problem!" Twilight and Chase snapped as they turned to face the group angrily, finally giving out. "You're all so worried about making our coronation perfect, but we're leaving Ponyville and none of you even care!"
The five girls, minus Chase, Nyx, Baby Darius, Spike, Sokka and Clay, gasped in shock.
Flashback ends
We return to the current future as Twilight, Chase, Darius, Melody, Luster, and Spike went back to the throne room.
"Exactly." Luster said. "You two moved away, your friends didn't care, and that was that."
"Actually, not exactly." Twilight said sheepishly and sat down on her throne.
"How so, Mom and Dad?" Darius asked his parents curiously as Melody had the same look with her brother.
"It was much more than that." Chase said as he sat on his throne next to Twilight.
Flashback
We return back to the past as Chase and Twilight continued to glare at their friends while Spike and Nyx stayed behind while the alicorn filly continued to hold Baby Darius.
"Of course we care that your movin', Twilight and Chase." Applejack said gently with a worried look.
"I can't believe you'd both think we don't." Fluttershy said in shock and sadness.
"What could possibly make you guys think that?" Pinkie asked concernedly.
"We tried to talk to you all about how we were feeling, but you seemed more worried about what you had to do for the coronation." Twilight said frustratingly as Chase nodded as a few tears left his eyes.
"I even tried to ask if you guys were worried about us not living here anymore, but you dismissed it. Again." Chase added as he was equally angry with his wife.
"It's true." Spike said, squeezing by them with Nyx and Baby Darius. "Nyx and I were there."
"You guys have been more concerned about the event that you weren't listening to them as usual." Nyx said with a stern glare and the others glanced at each other now feeling guilty for not noticing sooner.
"Actually, Sokka and Clay told us of what happened and we didn't know how much you both were hurting." Rainbow said with a sad look. "As well as from when we were overrun by Zhao, his words still rang through our minds."
"It's true, guys." Clay said to Chase and Twilight, who still wouldn't budge. "We saw how upset you were about not living here anymore, because it would be really hard."
"I suppose it gave us something else to focus on." Rarity added while placing a hoof to her heart emotionally with a sad look.
"I knew you guys were worried about everything changin'." Applejack said as Clay stood beside his wife and wrapped a foreleg around his wife. "I guess I thought if Clay and I made it seem like everything was okay, it would be."
"Sokka and I were just trying to make you both feel better." Fluttershy said as Sokka put a hoof on her shoulder to comfort her. "That way we wouldn't feel so terrible."
"Before Chase and I moved to Ponyville, I didn't really know what friendship was. And I still didn't approve of Chase as a friend until he managed to open my eyes and have me as his wife." Twilight said as her voice cracked. "You've all taught us so much. I can't believe it all might be ending." She started tearing up as Chase hugged his wife close to her for comfort while also shedding some tears, and the girls went to her side. Sokka and Clay stayed behind with Spike, Nyx, and Baby Darius. "But when we imagine the future, all we can think about is that we won't be together! We're literally moving away from you, and it's terrifying!"
"I'm scared, too." Fluttershy said.
"Me, too." Pinkie said and starts tearing up.
"Rattled to the core." Rarity said.
"Eeyup." Applejack said as she tears up as well.
"We all are." Sokka said as he sheds some tears as well from his eyes and Clay wipes some from his face.
"I wouldn't say scared." Rainbow said bluntly, but they all turned to her as Sokka, Nyx, Chase, Clay, Spike, Applejack and Rarity glared at her as it was not helping. Rainbow realized this and started to tear up "Buuuut just because I won't say it doesn't mean I don't feel it."
"I'm going to miss you guys so much!" Pinkie cried as she clung onto Twilight's hoof while dropping onto the ground as Chase pats her on the back.
"I just can't stop thinking about how much things are going the change!" Rarity said and cried.
"W... What if we don't see each other?" Rainbow asked while crying.
"What if we don't talk as much?" Fluttershy asked, crying.
"What if we don't stay friends?!" Applejack cried.
Then the five girls burst into tears and started crying as Twilight and Chase both looked at them with tearful eyes before they smiled.
"I know it's weird, but knowing you're all are as upset as we are actually makes us less worried." Twilight said feeling better.
"And that's what makes friendship stronger. We reconcile with each other." Chase added as Twilight smiled in agreement and the five girls joined together with each other.
"That's nice, but should be more worried about missing the train to Canterlot!" Spike said as the group turned to him as he brought out his pocket watch and they all saw the time.
"Oh, geez!" Chase said in concern while wiping the last remaining tears away from his eyes with the rest of his group. "We gotta go now!"
Soon they quickly rush out as Starlight finally arrives with a wrapped present.
"Sorry, I'm so late." Starlight said. "I actually thought I'd missed you-"
"There's no time!" Spike yelled as they rushed pass her, making her spin around like a top and fell on her back before she lifts her head.
(Scene changes)
In about a few minutes or so, the group quickly got to the station, but the train has already left.
"Oh, no! We missed it!" Twilight cried and then thought of something. "But maybe..." She turns to Chase, who turns back to her, and she smiled. "Honey, do you think you might be able to…?"
Chase smiled back at his wife.
"Don't worry, I got this one." Chase said as he uses his magic to teleport himself and the others away to Canterlot.
(Scene changes)
In Canterlot, they had just arrived at the castle courtyard in time and they all breathed a heavy sigh of relief.
"Thanks, honey." Twilight said as she kissed Chase on the cheek and he smiled at his wife.
"Alright, you guys go get started on what needs to be finished. We'll meet up with Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio." Chase said to the group as they nodded before they walked away to find help with Clay and Applejack finding Big Mac as Sokka and Fluttershy went to find their bird friends.
"It's about time you guys decided to show up." Sunray's voice said, making Chase and Twilight turned to see him, Jade, Trini, and Antonio walking up to them with smiles.
"We were beginning to think you weren't gonna make it." Antonio added teasingly as Chase and Twilight smiled.
"Are you guys ready for the coronation?" Trini asked with a smile.
Chase and Twilight turned to each other happily as the royal couple smiled back at them.
"We all are." Chase answered bravely as Twilight nodded in agreement.
"Then let's get started." Jade said warmly as she, Chase, Twilight, Trini, Sunray, and Antonio walked into the castle to get ready.
(Scene changes)
Later that evening, Twilight felt excited and relieved knowing that with Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio by her side, she was more than ready. Standing in front of a large mirror and dressed in a yellow bathrobe, Twilight was being prepared for her coronation ceremony.
At that moment, there was a knock at the door and Rarity in stepped. In her aura was Twilight's blue coronation gown.
"Hello, Twilight," Rarity greeted happily. "I've taken the liberty of making some final adjustments to your coronation gown. How do you feel about a sash on the bodice?"
Twilight looked and saw a light blue sash with a gold pin containing her cutie mark on it.
"I think its fine, Rarity. Not that I'm competing with Shining Armor." Twilight said happily.
The two mares shared a light laugh upon hearing this remark.
Rarity then pulled the gown away and removed Twilight's bathrobe as she began to dress her in the gown. Once Twilight was dressed, Rarity then proceeded to work on doing her mane.
"I'm also glad that with Chase by my side as well as his family, I feel more relieved that we'll have more company in Canterlot." Twilight said as Rarity finished working on the alicorn's mane into a ponytail.
Rarity smiled in agreement with Twilight as well.
(Scene changes)
In the hallway, Chase was fully dressed in the garb of a martial arts master, consisting of black and white. Jade and Sunray escorted him as they had joined up with Trini and Antonio. The four ponies were also wearing different kinds of kimonos for the coronation.
Sunray was wearing a red kimono with red and orange flames for his fire element.
Jade wore a purple kimono with a watery wave for her water element.
Trini wore a blue kimono with a gust of wind for her wind element.
Finally, Antonio was wearing a yellow kimono with a rock for his earth element.
"Hey, look at you, Chase." Trini said, admiring Chase's clothing. "You sure look like a king if we ever seen one."
"King Chase Young." Antonio said in agreement. "That does have a nice ring to it."
Chase just chuckled in amusement with his family.
"Thanks, guys. But, I think Master Chase Young is more than enough." Chase said with an amusing smirk. "I still can't believe that after everything we've been through, it almost feels like a year since we defeated Zhao and the Quinkan. Now, everything is at peace."
"Yeah. And who knows, maybe there might be a new threat on the way. But for now, we can at least enjoy what we have left." Jade said to her brother with a smile.
"And after what Zhao has done, fixing the world isn't gonna be easy." Sunray said, smiling as well.
"Yup. But nothing worth ever is." Chase replied back. "The world is gonna be even more different, and we will rebuild it together. With all of our friends and allies by our side."
Then footsteps were heard heading their way as Chase turned to see Twilight approaching them, now wearing her coronation gown, her sash around her, her mane in a small ponytail, and wearing her silver slippers.
"Well, Chase. How do I look?" Twilight asked Chase with a smile as her husband smiled at her proudly and lovingly while approaching her.
"Wow, honey. You look more beautiful than ever." Chase said, making Twilight smile as the two alicorns shared a loving kiss on the lips before they departed.
"And you look more handsome than ever too, sweetie." Twilight said with a smile as Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio smiled at the two proudly.
"You both look really amazing. We can't be even more proud of you guys too." Jade said as she, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio bowed to the royal couple in respect as they smiled back at them.
"Neither have we, Twilight and Chase." Celestia's voice was heard as she, Iris, Kon, Juto, Chikara, and Luna approached them with proud smiles. "We really are all just so proud of you and your family. If you six need a moment, that's alright. It is your coronation."
Chase, Twilight, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio smiled back when the sound trumpets could be heard as well as the sound of the crowd cheering.
"Although it would be nice to get started." Luna said. "Are you all ready?"
The six ponies smiled at each other warmly before they turned their attention back to the six alicorns.
"We'll be ready in a few minutes." Chase replied back with a warm smile.
"Very well." Kon said as he, Iris, Chikara, Juto, Celestia, and Luna headed out to the balcony as all of the citizens of Equestria and beyond had arrived for the coronation.
"Citizens of Equestria and beyond!" Celestia announced as the crowd below cheered as Rutherford and the other yaks stomped the ground with the dragons firing short blasts. "My sister and I have ruled this land for quite some time, and we have never been more happy that my husband and daughter have returned as well, but even we know that change eventually comes to us all." Kon and Iris smiled at Celestia in agreement, happy to be with each other after so long. "And though we know it can be unsettling, it's as natural as the rising and setting of the sun and the moon. Both of which my sister, my husband, and I feel confident leaving in the hooves of the two ponies who will come after us."
Back with Chase, Twilight, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio, they smiled with each other happily and warmly.
"Looks like you guys are up first." Sunray said with an encouraging smile as Chase and Twilight smiled in reply.
"Are you ready, honey?" Chase asked Twilight, who smiled at her husband and nodded.
"I'm ready. Are you, honey?" Twilight asked warmly as her husband smiled back at her.
Taking a deep breath, Chase and Twilight begin to head out to the balcony as their family smiled happily with tears in their eyes before they wiped them away.
"And so without further ado, I give you the new rulers of Equestria - Princess Twilight Sparkle! And her handsome husband, Alicorn Jiu Jitsu Master Chase Young!" Celestia declared as Chase and Twilight joined the six alicorns as the crowd cheered for the royal couple.
The two alicorns smiled and waved at the crowd before the cheering died down. Then Celestia and Luna levitated their respective crowns in the air with their magic, and fused them into two new crowns.
The first one was Twilight's new crown as it had a lavender 6 pointed star with a white one behind it.
The last one was Chase's new crown as it had a yin yang symbol with a blue lightning bolt behind it.
Just like as before, everything went smoothly. The swans and birds gently placed the crown on Twilight's head. The fireworks were blasted into the sky with beautiful colors, and finally the coronation team performed the same technique as before.
Once it was over, the ponies and races cheered wildly as Chase and Twilight smiled down at them. Then Kon raised a hoof up as the crowd stopped cheering.
"There is one more thing to add." Kon said, addressing the crowd. He then uses his magic to hold five medallions as the crowd oohs in awe. The medallions consisted of fire, lightning, water, earth, and wind. "Myself, Chikara, and Juto have been watching over the world from our home far away. Over the years, we thought that we were in need again, but the world is already in good hooves with Princess Twilight and Master Chase. With the Quinkan defeated, we have a special occasion to reward these medallions to the Elite Ninja: Chase Young and his family."
With that mentioned, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio joined Twilight and Chase as the crowd cheered for them as well. The four ponies smiled at Chase and Twilight, who smiled back at them.
Celestia then placed a hoof on Chase's shoulder.
"Say something, your majesty." Celestia whispered to Chase, who smiled back before he cleared his throat and addressed the crowd.
"Today, this war with the Quinkan is finally over!" Chase announced, resulting the crowd to cheer loud and applaud the Elite Ninja. "I promised my grandfather that I would restore the honor of his family's legacy. The road ahead of us is challenging! For a thousand years of the White Lotus clan fighting the spirit monsters has left the world scarred and divided by Zhao's work! But with the help of my family and my wife, we can get it back on the right path and begin a new era of love and peace!"
Kon then stood at the front of Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio before he placed the medal of honors around the five ponies necks each.
"All hail Master Chase Young and his Elite Ninja!" Kon announced as the entire crowd clapped and cheered for the five ponies.
Chase turned to see Twilight smiling at him proudly with a few tears running down her face, more proud of her husband than ever before. Chase smiled back at his wife. The lead waiter then poured some apple cider into each of the crowd's cups.
"To Twilight, Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio!" Applejack and Clay shouted as the crowd lifted their cups and cheered once more.
Chase, Twilight, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio smiled down at the crowd as Kon, Celestia, Luna, Chikara, Juto, and Iris smiled at them proudly too.
Flashback ends
We return back to the current future as Chase and Twilight had explained what happened to Darius, Melody, and Luster.
"Wait, you mean all this time your friends didn't care about you moving away from the start?" Luster asked Twilight and Chase curiously, who nodded back in reply with smiles. "But did your friendships just faded away over time?"
"Well…" Chase began slyly as Twilight giggled.
"Not exactly." Twilight said as she and Chase stood up from their thrones.
The door opens as Pinkie came in with a new mane style with a rubber duck and lollipops in her mane, a teddy bear stuffed in her tail as well as two party streamers.
"Sorry I'm late." Pinkie sighed. "But it is so hard to find a sitter with a sense of humor for Li'l Cheese."
Suddenly a little foal came in with a yellow coat, a light pink curly mane with green eyes and a cutie mark of a cheese pie appeared.
With the near twenty years, Pinkie and Cheese eventually became a couple and got married. They later on had a child with their curly hair, Cheese's green eyes, and of course both their sense of humor.
Li'l Cheese plays with a rubber chicken who was Boneless Six as Pinkie pats her son's head before they joined Chase, Twilight, Darius, Melody, Luster, and Spike.
Then Rarity entered the room with a deep blue cloak and light gray streak on her mane and tail.
"Honestly, I would have been here sooner, but you would not believe how busy Yakyakistan is these days." Rarity said and she joins up with them.
"Maybe we could get to places on time if you guys let me Rainbow Shine and Apple Core do some of the chores instead of always doing everything yourselves." Rainbow said.
They turned to Rainbow, Applejack, and Clay entering the room with a two fillies coming in which was Applejack and Clay's daughter as well as Rainbow's daughter.
Rainbow has a now mane style similar to Spitfire's and a Wonderbolt jacket as she's a Wonderbolt veteran now.
Applejack also has a new mane style into a bun, her tail was in a braid, and now wears Granny's scarf.
Finally, Clay had a blue buttoned up shirt, red scarf, and carried a rope around his shoulder.
As well as over twenty years, Applejack and Clay had a daughter and named her Apple Core as she has her mother's orange fur coat, her father's brown eyes, brown orange scarf, buttoned up shirt, stetson hat, and a cutie mark of an apple core.
The same goes for Rainbow Dash as she and Soarin had gotten married and had their daughter, who looked almost like her mother was back in her old days with a light blue cerulean color fur coat, green eyes, and a cutie mark of a rainbow cloud and sunshine.
"Maybe I would with Clay if you guys did them the right way." Applejack said.
"And we would be here a lot sooner if you had just listened." Clay added as Rainbow chuckled and they saw the others.
"Oh. Sorry." Applejack said as she, Clay, and Rainbow joined them. "We're not the last ones, are we?"
Then a portal opened as Fluttershy and Sokka leapt through with two fillies of their own.
Over the years, Fluttershy has also a new mane style with a flower.
Sokka has a blue kimono for clothing and a blue bandana wrapped around his head with a single katana sword.
With them were their two fillies.
The first one was a pegasus foal that had his mother's green eyes, his father's blue fur coat, mane and tail, and a cutie mark of a bow and arrow and his name was Zippy.
The next one was a pegasus filly that looked like a miniature version of Fluttershy, except she too had her father's eyes, and a cutie mark of a war fan and her name was Tessen.
Discord hands them each a lunch-bag, as he waves to the others and then the portal closes.
"Sorry that we're late, guys. There were some animal problems we had to get down with, but we managed to handle it." Sokka said with a smile.
"And Discord's heading to an O&O convention or he'd be joining us." Fluttershy said as Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio entered the room.
"Hey, guys. I hope we're not late." Jade said as she and her family joined the group.
"Auntie Jade! Uncle Sunray!" Darius said excitedly.
"Auntie Trini! Uncle Antonio!" Melody said excitedly as well.
Jade now has a purple kimono shirt for water, with Sunray wearing one of his own in red for fire, Trini wore one with a light blue kimono for wind, and Antonio's kimono was yellow for earth.
Once they gathered together, Luster glanced at the Mane Fourteen.
"I just assumed that since you all aren't together all the time now-" Luster said.
"That we aren't friends?" Twilight guessed.
"And that we don't speak so much anymore?" Chase added with a smirk and they all laughed.
"Well, I actually know you guys see each other." Darius said in slight surprise to Chase and Twilight as Melody was surprised as her brother was. "But I thought you don't see each other as much as you used too."
"Actually, Darius. That's not the point of our story yet, honey." Twilight said to her son as Chase smiled in agreement. "After your father and my coronation was done..."
Flashback
We return back to twenty years in the past.
Finally, after partying for hours and getting everything else done, the coronation was over as everyone had just went back home.
Pinkie gulps down a glass of apple cider.
"Well, at least the coronation is over." Pinkie said to her friends.
"You got that right, Pinkie." Chase said as he, Twilight, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio joined their friends.
Twilight let out an exhausted groan and lands her chin on the table. Then Pinkie snickered, and then the Mane fourteen burst into laughing.
"The party was something." Twilight said with a smile.
"Yeah. It sure was fun while it still lasted." Chase added as he wrapped a foreleg around Twilight and his wife snuggled into his neck.
"I was just about to say the same thing." Starlight said.
They turned to see Starlight, Nyx, Baby Darius, and Spike approaching them. Spike holds the present behind his back that was Starlight's gift she wanted to give earlier.
"It's good to see all of you laughing and the coronation went rather smooth too." Starlight said.
"We wanted to give this to you before you left Ponyville, but things got a little hectic." Spike said and he reveals the present from his back.
"Since you're moving away, we thought if you guys missed any of us or Ponyville, this might help." Starlight said to Chase and Twilight.
Twilight unwraps the present and reveals it to be a book with the School of Friendship's symbol as Chase stood beside his wife's side. Chase opens it as the pages showed some of the moments they've been together since day one.
"Awww." Twilight said as she and Chase smiled.
"Like the color too." Chase said as Twilight giggled.
"It's a book of memories." Pinkie said.
"And we all chipped in some." Applejack said.
"It was the least we could do for you guys since you'll be living here." Clay added with a grin.
"No matter how much things changes, you'll always have this to look back on." Fluttershy said as she and the others joined the alicorn couple.
"And these memories will always be a reminder of all the good you both did for our world too." Sokka added.
"I love it." Twilight said. "Thank you so much. But I don't want to only look back. It's our relationships that really count, and we have to maintain them."
"That's the bigger challenge for us to do and we won't let that be broken." Chase said in agreement with his wife.
"But now we'll be living in different places, I'm not exactly sure how." Rarity said.
"Do you have a way to fix it, Twilight?" Jade asked Twilight as she turned to her sister-in-law with a smile.
"I am." Twilight said. "I suggest we meet once a moon."
"She's right. In fact, our first royal decree as rulers of Equestria is to establish this Council of Friendship!" Chase declared as the others, Starlight and Spike cheered.
"And what a wonderful decree it is!" Celestia said, gaining the Mane Sixteen's attention as they turned to see her, Kon, Chikara, Juto, Iris, and Luna approaching them.
"We always knew that whatever adversity you two faced, you and your friends would find your way through it together." Luna said to Chase and Twilight with smiles the two alicorns had on their faces.
"We know Equestria is in the perfect hooves with you both, your family, and your friends looking out for it." Celestia said. "And while we'll always be here if you need us, it's time for us to be on our way."
"You're leaving?" Twilight asked as she concernedly frowned.
"Is it so soon?" Chase asked with concern.
"Indeed, Chase. But we will always be with you. Now, Equestria must embrace the new, and you two are excellent leaders to keep the balance in shape." Kon said with a proud smile. "Chikara, Juto, and I will be watching over Japon for a while until Iris becomes the next heir to the throne."
"Yeah, and I'll be ready to step up to my father's challenges too." Iris added with a smile. "And to help you guys no matter what."
"We hope you'll come and visit us in Silver Shoals." Luna said.
"But now it's time for you two to rule on your own." Celestia said as the group of ponies and Spike smiled back. Twilight and Chase had a few tears in their eyes while smiling. "You're all more than capable."
"Thank you." Twilight said as she smiled tearfully. "For everything."
"And for always being there to help us." Chase added with a grateful smile.
Twilight happily hugs Celestia and chuckled as Chase joins in. Soon they all joined in for a group hug.
Flashback ends
With the story done, we return back to the future as Luster Dawn now got it all together.
"So, even though everything changed and you moved away from your friends, you didn't grow apart?" Luster questioned. "And this is the Council of Friendship? That's what you're all doing here?"
"Duh! This time every moon." Rainbow said as she proudly smiled.
"What she means is this is how we've been rulin' together." Applejack said as she chuckled with Clay.
"If there was any danger going on, we've always been there for each other." Clay said in agreement with his wife as he held Apple Cord next to him, making her smile in agreement.
"And how we've continued to face every problem and threat to Equestria over the years." Rarity said.
"But mostly, it's how we keep in touch." Pinkie said.
And Spike folds out his wing as Li'l Cheese clings to it.
"No matter how busy life gets." Pinkie said and grabs her.
"Sometimes friendships can be hard, and it takes work to maintain them." Twilight said. "But without friends, things can be a lot harder."
"It's always better when you have a whole group of friends there to help you out in so many ways." Chase added with a smile he and Twilight shared together.
"Huh. I guess you've both gone through similar things when you were our age, huh?" Melody said with a smile.
"Mm-hmm." Twilight replied back to her daughter as she nodded. "And being married to your father for all these years has been a dream come true for me."
"I never thought about friendship being something to work at, and I don't mind work." Luster said. "I guess if they don't have to fade away, maybe making friends isn't the waste of time I thought. But I've been so focused on my studies, I wouldn't know where to start."
"That's all right, because we know exactly where to send you." Twilight said like how Celestia did for her and Chase long ago.
"And it's the perfect place to begin your first lesson there." Chase added as he and Twilight approached Luster, Darius, and Melody.
[Twilight - The others gathered around her and Chase.]

Silverstream opens the door as Starlight was now in a headmare uniform, Nyx was wearing a martial arts robe incharge of the martial arts dojo room, and Starburst now has a bigger beard. They turn to Twilight and the others as Nyx hugged her adoptive family, who returned it happily. They showed Luster, Melody, and Darius around. They saw Trixie in a uniform escorting a young griffon down a hall and waves hi to the group. A met up with Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, who are now the new School of Friendship's teachers. Scootaloo went inside the classroom as students of different creatures raised her hand, paw, hoof or claw. They all headed outside to the courtyard as Ocellus appeared with a cup of tea and waves hi to them. She flew up to a treetop where Smolder was and took a sip as she flew off.]

It is Sugar Belle's and Big Mac's son as he rushed over and hugs his aunt and uncle.]

[Rarity - Rarity leads them to her boutique as a pony leaves, and Yona appeared now with a green dress. She turns to them as Sandbar came out. Yona brought Rarity and Sandbar in for a hug.]

"But, Mom." Melody said to Twilight with a worried look. "What would happen while you guys aren't here anymore with Dad?"
"Yeah. What do you all think might happen?" Darius asked.
"Well, I think that will be for the next generation to decide." Twilight said. "One day the sun may set on our time here, but will rise with you for the next generation."
"And be the new leaders of your own Elite Ninja." Chase said with a proud smile. "The greatest gift of honor is having you as our children."
"And whatever happens, I am proud to call you my baby boy and girl." Twilight added with a loving smile
Darius and Melody smiled as they hugged their parents, who hugged them back. They soon broke it as they, Luster, Rainbow Shine, Apple Cord, Zippy, and Tessen rushed off.
They stopped to wave back at the Mane Fourteen, who waved back, before they a met up with a Griffon, Kirin, Earth Pony stallion, and a male Bunyip.
The six ponies followed them as their families watched with the sun lower down and a rainbow appeared over them.
And that's where their story ended.

That about raps up the saga for my alternate stories. I also wish to express my apologies as well. I had a lot of my mind after what I did to John Smith 135 when he gave me so much trouble, but I was just so angry. I've gone through a lot of therapy to help clear my mind and I do respect all of the other readers. I wasn't really in the right mind. Anyway, here is the last chapter for my season 9 story, I did my best on this last one, and I'll be publishing the trailer of my Demodragon King story now.
