Return to Sanctuary

I shifted once more to the spectral dimension
Departing this place is my foremost intention

And shortly, I passed through the gate down below
Though not fully certain which way I must go

I treaded as far as this path would permit
And then at the end, I leapt out of the pit

It seems that my efforts had not proven vain
And so, I returned to the physical plane

Regaining my bearings, I passed through the door
And soon I would not remain here anymore

I crossed the short hallway and passed through the gate
To go to the place where I suffered my fate

I traversed the room and I made my way out
And soon, I could hear the void swirling about

I then turned away from the Lake of the Dead
I turned to approach the Clans' hideout instead

I passed through the canyon to make my way there
A place which is now just a desolate lair

Approaching the bars at the furthermost wall
I shifted before I could enter the hall

These bars halt my path in the earthly dimension
In limbo, however, they're no intervention

I passed this obstruction and made my way in
And shortly, my trek through this place would begin

Beyond the first corner, a door stands ajar
I shifted again before going too far

And once this was done, to my utter surprise
Two Dumahim stand right before my own eyes

The doors would not open until they were dead
For one closed behind me, and one closed ahead

The creatures intended to slow my advance
And both of them stand in a threatening stance

But this was a fight I would easily win
With one forceful motion, I cast them both in

My path was now clear; the doors opened indeed
But first I would take a brief moment to feed

With both souls consumed, I departed the room
These paths clearly led the same way, I presume

It seems I must shift once again to progress
I passed through one gate, then another, no less

I shifted again once the doorway was near
Suspecting that someone awaited me here
