Through the Gates
The moment my trek through our hideout had ceased
I heard from the Voice to progress to the east
The subsequent place which commands my attention
Is where I first accessed the earthly dimension
Beyond it my next brother, Zephon resides
Within a deserted cathedral he hides
His many descendants reside there as well
Of course, by his hand, all its guardians fell
Approaching the passage that led here before
I shifted so that I could pass through the door
I followed the path to the earliest room
Where two creatures fell, by my hand, to their doom
However, this time, there was no need for slaughter
And so, I would simply glide over the water
I made my way out to the following trail
And over the watery pit without fail
And then I arrived at the ruins anew
Observing the gate, I would shortly pass through
But first, I must shift to the realm of the dead
Before I could go any further ahead
I phased through the gate and discovered new ground
Approaching one side, where a portal was found
I then reached the temporal world anew
The massive doors indicate what I must do
But first, I commenced to survey this new land
Should something essential be closer at hand
I followed the path to a narrow divide
The passage ascends as I traverse inside
And two guards observed me, but fell to their knees
So that I could pass with the greatest of ease
I knew by the symbol bedecking the door
That I had discovered a Ward gate once more
I passed through the doorway and powered the gate
So I could return if my strength should abate
Departing the room once the Ward gate reacted
I skirted the guards; I would not be distracted
And after I passed by these two kneeling men
I made my way down to the path once again
Then out of the crevice and into the light
The doors to the derelict church are in sight
And then I could see what I needed to do
I crossed the small bridge, and I plunged my blade through
The two doors divided; the bars were revealed
To most other creatures, this path would be sealed
My entry was easy enough to attain
I need only shift to the phantasmal plane
And once this was done, I passed through easily
No longer is this place forbidden to me
