Zephon's Clan Territory Pt. 1
And now I must locate one more of the portals
To make my return to the world of mortals
One portal was luckily well within sight
I found it the moment I turned to the right
The trench in my path was not lengthy or deep
I easily crossed in one minuscule leap
I shifted and leapt again over the trench
And then I detected another new stench
I then heard a growl before I could see
An overgrown insect leapt out suddenly
His cursory thrust caused my weapon to fade
To kill him, however, I don't need a blade
I struck him until he could only stand still
Approaching the water, prepared for the kill
I hurled the insect with all of my force
For all I have suffered, I felt no remorse
I fed on his soul as his shell slowly burned
And once this was finished, my weapon returned
And then I could see I must rise to the ledge
Another daft insect awaits at the edge
Before I could even complete the ascent
He reached out to strike me and would not relent
His eagerness caused him to strike much too soon
And that was a fatal mistake for this goon
The insect was clearly not feeble or slow
With fleetness and skill, I evaded each blow
And my strikes, however, would not be in vain
I whittled him down as he growled in pain
I prodded my sword once I seemed to prevail
The insect was promptly destroyed without fail
I had little need to devour a soul
So long as the Reaver remained in control
And then, down the circular path I descended
I passed through a small pair of doors where it ended
The Silenced Cathedral's facade was in sight
Its entrance, however, was at a great height
Although it appeared to be at a great distance
The structures around me would be of assistance
I leapt to one turret and then to another
And hoped that this leads to the lair of my brother
Instead of a turret, I leapt to the wall
For otherwise, I would most certainly fall
And then I ascended as high as I could
I gathered a weapon; I knew that I should
Now furthermore armed, I would valiantly tread
And glide to the uppermost turret ahead
In one final bound, I would float to the peak
And Zephon, this time, is the one whom I seek
The only way forward is through a small space
And so, I pressed on, further into this place
I followed the passage to traverse below
For that was the only direction to go
A Zephonim vampire stands in my way
And slowly encases the corpse of his prey
Directing my spear in the creature's direction
I forcibly hurled it through his midsection
I waited above as his howls abated
Consuming his spirit, my hunger was sated
I made my descent in a leisurely glide
Believing this passage leads further inside
My efforts would shortly be met with success
I passed through the cleft in the wall to progress
The doors were in sight and not overly high
I simply leapt up to the column nearby
I rose to the ledge even more easily
There's nothing between the large doorway and me
I entered the room once I opened the door
A place such as this would have much to explore
The towering pipes undeniably showed
I've now made my way into Zephon's abode
