Zephon's Clan Territory Pt. 3

I held both my wings so that I would not fall,
Until I detected a cleft in the wall

I leapt to a ledge and proceeded to climb.
Once more to the next room; I wasted no time.

Ahead, a large bell unassumingly stood.
I struck it as hard as I possibly could.

The echo appeared to have little effect.
There must be another bell here, I suspect.

I swiftly crossed over to locate the bell.
Descending a slope, I struck that one as well.

I suddenly heard an obstreperous clatter.
The sound caused a towering window to shatter.

Upon my ascent, I approached a small door.
Beyond it, I shortly discovered one more.

I wasted no time; I would quickly pass through,
In search of the next thing I needed to do

A zealot awaited and stood near the wall.
I shifted before he could strike me at all.

I passed through the gate shortly after I turned.
With what lay ahead, I was faintly concerned.

And then I could see that this place is revealing
Another four stones piled up to the ceiling.

I now must depart from the phantasmal plane.
From fighting the Sluagh I chose to abstain

Inside of a niche slightly raised from the ground.
My means of escaping this realm could be found.

Approaching the portal amidst the disorder
I shifted again at the room's furthest border.

Before I could even advance the first stone
I knew right away that I wasn't alone.

Observing two insects awaiting beneath
Both eager to strike with their claws and their teeth

I leapt down and faced them; they'll not leave me be.
And I would destroy them expediently.

I weakened them with an exertion of force.
Then killed them and fed on their spirits, of course.

And once I dissevered their souls from their bones,
I turned my attention to moving these stones.

Propelling the stones to the wall's indentation
I noticed each one bears its own penetration.

I thrust all the stones until each of them fell.
I knew I must fill these walls' niches as well.

Instead of completing an image depicted,
I needed to line up the holes, I predicted.

The first stone was hollowed out all the way through.
And halfway on one of the other sides too

And so, this solution was easy to find.
I turned it until it was fully aligned.

With just one more effort, I thrust the stone in
Now three more remain, with an outlet akin

The void in the next stone was perfectly straight.
I wrested it backward, in spite of its weight.

I then turned the stone to its proper direction.
And forcefully budged it to fill the next section.

And now that I've finished this side of the room.
I needed to fill two more clefts; I presume.

Approaching the third stone, I pulled it away.
In perfect alignment to fill the next bay

I thrust it until it was in the right place.
And now I have filled the penultimate space.

I knew not what filling these spaces would cause.
But I would propel the last stone without pause.

Immediately, I approached the last boulder.
And soon, I could feel the air getting colder.

These stones formed an airway; I had little doubt.
The cavities transfer the current throughout.

I clutched at the boulder and pulled it afar.
To set it in place, as the other ones are

With all of my might and sufficient rotation
The stone was at last in its proper location.

I shifted again to the spectral dimension.
Encountering Zephon, my foremost intention

I passed through the gate and approached the door then.
And then, I would locate a portal again.

I passed through the doorway upon my return.
But what I accomplished, I had yet to learn.

My steady ascent would continue as planned.
And those who oppose me will die by my hand.

I didn't exactly know yet what to seek.
But brazenly opened the door at the peak.

As always, the guards would assault me on sight.
And killing them both was an utter delight.

And once they were slain, on their spirits, I fed.
Once more, I must shift to the realm of the dead.

I did so, in order to phase through the gate.
My hunger for vengeance will never abate.

I knew that a portal was located there.
And just as before, there are stones everywhere.

By now, I knew just where the portal would be.
Obscured in a corner I couldn't yet see.

But once I leapt up to the boulders abound.
The portal I sought was conveniently found.

And so, I returned to the world of men.
Confronting another two insects again.

I fought them off promptly; I knew that I must.
Dismembering one with a vigorous thrust.

The other recovered and struck from behind.
The Reaver evanished, but I didn't mind.

I weakened him using my claws all the same.
And turned a stone forward to shatter his frame.

I knew I must fill all the spaces once more.
And now there are six stones instead of just four.

I fed on their souls at the end of the fight.
Then chose to begin with the wall on the right.

The clefts faced each other inside of this wall.
I need to be careful which stones I would haul.

The boulders must have a completely straight hollow.
Diversely, the current would fail to follow.

I turned all the boulders to closely observe
Which spaces were straight and the ones that would curve.

I turned the first boulder so that it would fit.
This task shall adjure all my strength and my grit.

I thrust it until it was fittingly placed.
Though trite this may seem, I must not act with haste.

With one other stone, I would do the same thing.
To fill what remains of the right opening.

Thereafter, I turned to the wall on the left.
The stones to this wall would not bear the same cleft.

Just one stone remains with a cleft that was straight.
I clutched at that stone; I did not hesitate.

I turned it so that it would face the right way.
And then thrust it inward with little delay.

And now I have halfway completed the deed.
Still eager to make Zephon suffer and bleed.

And then, at that moment, I keenly observed.
The clefts in the rest of the boulders were curved.

It no longer matters which stone I select.
So long as I have the alignment correct.

So, then I took hold of a stone and proceeded
To turn it to face the direction I needed.

I thrust it until it was perfectly set.
This wall is complete, but I'm not finished yet.

Now, all that remains is the wall at the rear.
And one thing is swiftly becoming quite clear.

My work in this chamber is nearing its end.
The cleft in the final two boulders must bend.

And luckily, this was exactly the case.
I need only turn them and thrust them in place.

I properly turned the next stone I selected.
And into the wall it was shortly directed.

And now there is one final stone that remains.
I turned it judiciously, taking great pains.

I then thrust it forward with sinewy zeal.
At last, I have finished this drudging ordeal.

Though not fully certain what this will achieve,
A path would be cleared, I am led to believe.

I shifted and eagerly phased through the gate.
And hoped to progress at a much quicker rate.

I shifted again once I made my way out.
Quite ardent to follow the newly cleared route.

I passed through the door where the hall terminated.
Ahead and above, a protruding crank waited.

I leapt to the crank and I swiveled it hard.
For just a brief moment, the path was unbarred.

But as I approached, it was once again sealed.
With no means of keeping it open revealed.

It may have returned, but I seem to recall.
In limbo, these doorways did not move at all.

And so, with this knowledge, I turned it anew.
And shifted again, as I needed to do.

I made my way there in a long steady glide.
Approaching the doorway, I traversed inside.
