Chapter 24: Noah Kuttler AKA The Calculator
Arrowverse!Noah Kuttler was one of the better Arrowverse characters. He had much more depth than DCU!Noah. I did like some of his spitefulness in DCU. I tried to fuse the two together with is Arrowverse history. Then I found I didn't really touch on him in my story. Damn.

ORIGIN:
Noah Kuttler was a middle-aged computer genius. His wife left him. She took his daughter with her. He looked for them initially, but eventually let them be separate from him. He eventually agreed that it was better for them… specifically for Felicity… if she was not involved in his criminal life. However, he kept a close eye on his daughter and did everything he could remotely to watch her grow up.
Noah ensured that Felicity's Brother Eye virus did not lead back to her when she attended MIT. He ensured that Felicity's boyfriend took the fall for his involvement in getting Felicity targeted by the CIA. He felt justified in protecting his daughter from that reckless idiot. He was disheartened to see Felicity beat herself up for the loss of her boyfriend because of her virus.
While keeping an eye on his former family, Noah embarked on a grand enterprise. He became a digital broker for the various villains around the world and especially those who lived and worked in Gotham. He liked the challenge of Batman attempting to infiltrate his computer systems to discover his identity and his location. All to no avail.
When he was gainfully employed, Noah worked with the US government to ensure their ballistic missile arsenal could not be hacked by those various supervillains. He knew that enough of them were stupid enough to try and conquer or destroy the world out of spite. He couldn't have that. He needed to keep the world safe for his daughter. Not to mention that he didn't want to be wiped out by some crazed idiot bent on world domination.

FAMILY:
Donna Smoak Kuttler (former spouse): Noah's former wife. She changed her name to Donna Smoak. She was not able to hide from him, but she didn't try very hard. Noah allowed her to leave with Felicity. His work was be dangerous. If no one knew of them, they would be safer.
Felicity Megan Kuttler (blood): Noah's daughter. Her mother changed her name to Felicity Megan Smoak. She graduated a year early from High School because of her intellect and received a full ride to MIT. He was very proud of her accomplishments and her development of the Brother Eye virus. He even supported her activities as a hacktivist… as Ghost Fox Goddess. He was saddened when she stopped all those activities after her boyfriend was arrested and then died.

MOTIVATION:
Noah was primarily motivated by greed. However, he did not support some of the actions by other supervillains, like the Joker. He didn't believe in wholesale slaughter for no reason. He had some morality, but it was flexible. Villains learned to avoid upsetting him because he would ensure that they were caught if he didn't agree with their plans. They were cautious in telling him what their plans were. If he didn't know, it was because he didn't need to know. It was a risk telling him a plan. He could improve it…or he could ensure they were captured. The villains couldn't figure out which was more likely.

PERSONALITY:
Noah had a very shy and restrained personality. He didn't go out. He dressed casually. He was balding and wears glasses. On the street, he didn't standout. This was his strength. The ability to blend in and disappear.
On computers, though, his personality changed dramatically. He was a master of the digital world. He was bold and forceful. None of the villains knew what he looked like or his name. They only know him as The Calculator.

NOTES:
As I said, I spent a lot of time developing this character for my AU and then discovered that I didn't need it… but I did all this work (whines). You all should be allowed to see how Noah could look in my AU… if I needed him.
