29. Chapter 29: Tyrell-Dheronian

Chapter 29: Tyrell AKA the Dheronian

All of my inspiration for Tyrell came from the DCU, but my character is nothing like the Tyrell that the DCU portrayed. I only used Tyrell's origin planet and powers. The rest of AU!Tyrell is all me.

ORIGIN:

Tyrell was born on the planet Dheroni in the Rao star system. It was one of four populated planets around that sun. Tyrell was raised to the high standards of Dheroni scientists in their constant war with the Kryptonian scientists. This level of high standards influenced Tyrell throughout his life. He demanded the best and most perfect equipment for his experiments. The Dheroni detested Daxam because of their isolationist attitudes. They existed in a cold war with Daxam and an active war with Krypton.

This left Tyrell unprepared for the success of a long-term project concocted by other Dheroni scientists. The destruction of Krypton using geo-mining to disrupt the core of the planet. Tyrell was able to scramble to a small spaceship when Krypton exploded and made the other planets in the Rao system uninhabitable.

Tyrell's small ship eventually crashed on Earth in Bialya. He was severely injured in the crash. He was taken to the palace and isolated in a cell. In the cell, he discovered that the light of the yellow sun had modified his physiology. As a scientist, he was fascinated, but he made the mistake of informing Queen Bee. She isolated Tyrell from the light of the sun. Queen Bee demanded that he use his scientific knowledge to advance her agenda.

FAMILY:

Unknown. Tyrell's planet was rendered unhabitable by the explosion of Krypton. Tyrell likely does not have relatives across the universe. Some Dheronians do exist across the galaxy, but they are considered a dying race, like Kryptonians and Daxamites. All Dheronians have white skin, white hair, and black outlining their eyes. They have a variety of black facial markings.

PERSONALITY:

Tyrell had an arrogant personality. His race was certain of their superiority. That was one reason they worked so hard to out-science the Kryptonians. He despised where he had found himself and that he was at the mercy of Queen Bee, but he knew better than to betray her.

POWERS/ABILITIES:

Abilities: Scientific Skill (Expert)

Energy Absorption: Dheronians absorb the radiation from the yellow sun of Earth differently than they absorbed the radiation of Rao. This difference gives the Dheronians basic physiological advantages on Earth. However, they require direct sunlight for any of these effects to be noticed.

Strength: Dheronians used their available energy for additional strength. It would be considered superstrength. However, for this ability to manifest, the Dheronian must be exposed to direct sunlight.

Accelerated Healing: Dheronians used their available energy to accelerate any damage or injury they had sustained. They can sustain significant damage and heal it if they are exposed to direct sunlight, but this ability does not manifest without that exposure.

NOTES:

All of my inspiration for this character came from the DCU. I'm not sure if the Dheronians exist in the Arrowverse. If they do, then they might (very vaguely) be the species that kept Astra imprisoned during a war with Krypton. Maybe. Mostly I needed a smart alien. Krypton's rivals seemed to fit the bill.
