Chapter 31: Sebastian Blood AKA Brother Blood
I think the Arrowverse did an excellent job of building and creating Sebastian Blood. However, they did a complete disservice to the Cult of Blood and Sebastian's role in the Cult. To this end, I created my AU!Cult of Blood and fused it with Sebastian's history. My inspiration is mostly Arrowverse!Sebastian.

ORIGIN:
Sebastian Resnik was born to Amaya Borros Resnik and Boris Resnik in Starling City. He was born 7 months after their marriage. The Resnik family lived in the Glades. Sebastian's father began physically abusing his mother at a young age. Sebastian had no siblings. When Sebastian was 10 years old, he killed Boris while he was abusing his mother in a drunken rage. The police put him in foster care until his mother was able to care for him again.
While in foster care, Sebastian became obsessed with correcting the society around him. He blamed society for why his father had become an abusive bastard. He further blamed society for not holding his father responsible for the pain he was inflicting on his mother.
As he grew, Sebastian collected a group of loyal followers. Charisma was ingrained in his true bloodline. He was a natural leader. He was not afraid to get his hands dirty.
Sebastian learns of his true bloodline when he and his mother are taken to Zandia. He learned that he was the son of Father Blood, not the bastard Boris. That his mother Maya had fled Zandia when she learned of her pregnant. That she purposely married Boris Resnik to provide a home for her child and a path to avoid the curse of his bloodline. She taught him his destiny was to lead. That it was in his blood. That she was proud of how he had averted the curse of his bloodline by killing his step-father.

FAMILY:
Father Blood (blood): Genetic father to Sebastian. Until my AU, Sebastian does not know of his heritage in the Father Blood bloodline. He learned of his bloodline during my story.
Amaya Borros Resnik (blood): Amaya (Maya) was a loyal Cult follower in South America. She was brought to Zandia to worship at the main Cult location. She became obsessed with Father Blood. After a brief affair with him, Maya fled Zandia. She made her way to the US and eventually to Starling. She then cultivated a relationship and marriage with Boris Resnik. She used Boris to protect her son. She ensured that she did not become pregnant again. She didn't think that Boris was worthy of a bloodline. She thought that Sebastian had circumvented the curse of his bloodline by killing Boris.
Boris Resnik (adopted): Adoptive father to Sebastian. Boris met and married Amaya when he learned she was pregnant. He assumed the Sebastian was his. Boris became suspicious that Sebastian was not his child when the child was three and his looks started to become more pronounced. This led to his rages at Amaya. He was further enraged when Amaya failed to become pregnant with a second child. This led to Boris leaning on alcohol and his fits of rage. It culminated in his death at the hands of his son.

MOTIVATION:
Sebastian was motivated by the tragedies in his early life. He was raised American, poor, and disenfranchised in Starling City. He felt motivated to correct those problems in Starling. He quickly finished his education and gained a full scholarship to complete his degree in Political Science. He then turned this degree onto the city. He became the youngest Councilman for the Glades district. He became obsessed with political power to raise him to greatness. He was certain that he was the only one with a good vision for the city. He aspired to Mayor before he turns 30-years-old.

PERSONALITY:
Sebastian was very intelligent. He was very charismatic. He oozed the leadership qualities that politicians desired, but he was still young and had not become aware of the full potential of his bloodline.

NOTES:
My AU doesn't touch on Sebastian much, but I may try to bring him back in a later section. I wanted to show how early trauma formed some of Sebastian's political opinions. Remember, Sebastian was raised in the Glades where Malcolm had prepared the ground for his Undertaking. Sebastian can SEE the issues Malcolm invested in the Glades. He felt that society (Malcolm) failed him, his mother, and his friends. This drove Sebastian down his path.
