Somewhere a long long time ago, Tamsin is sitting in an old tavern, cloaked in armor, drinking, when she sees a raven fly onto a nearby window sill. She continues drinking. Then a man, wearing a black hooded robe, pulls a chair in front of her and sits down in it. Tamsin seems unfazed by him as she listens to his request all the while not paying any attention to him. She was a mercenary for hire at that time, so people came to her all the time, nothing unusual. When he started describing the person he wanted her to locate, it amused her since in her mind she thought that no one could exist with those features and qualities. He tosses over all sorts of jewels, good and plenty. Tamsin sees this as an easy mark. Then she looks into his eyes and what she saw behind them made her feel the most uncomfortable she has ever felt in her life. She didn't want anything to do with it, or him, refusing. He throws over even more loot. Then a voice came through to her, telling her to accept the request. Tamsin heaves a huge sigh. The man wasn't taking no for an answer either, the desperation in his eyes, not to mention the pure evil Tamsin can see and feel. She looked back over to the raven in the window sill and another was there, and for some reason she couldn't take her eyes off of them. It's been such a long time since she was back there, Asgard, but it was something about them, something about those two birds. He makes her another offer, something in regards to granting her heart's true desire. Tamsin feels like she hasn't had a heart in a long time, so she wouldn't know what that could be anyway. The voice came to her again. And this time, she agrees to the task.
Tamsin wakes up inside of her truck.
Bo has been acting quite on the bizarre side to which has some of the gang worried while the others suspect that she may be back to her old ways of killing after all. Tamsin, who already had it out for her was even more convinced when she and Dyson found the body of one of Bo's latest booty calls by the tracks near Bo's home. Bo has no recollection of the girl actually leaving her home which makes matters even worse. And Lauren and Kenzi witnessed Bo's out of control state when she lost herself trying to save both of them from two of Roman's (The Bacchus) hired guns while on a case. Lauren seemed to be afraid of Bo while Kenzi on the other hand was excited about the ordeal. However, when Tamsin and Dyson brought the dead booty call over to Lauren for an autopsy, she found her death to be inconclusive, leaving Dyson and Tamsin suspicious of her motives to save Bo from being incriminated, even if it meant sabotaging an autopsy. So Dyson and Tamsin finally agreed to work together to uncover what's really going on with Bo, and if she is behind everything then they will have to do their jobs. Lauren has been growing more concerned over Bo's behavior, especially the most recent, driving her to tell someone about it, the person unknown.
At the crack shack. Bo goes home after visiting with Lauren, to find that Kenzi has ordered dinner for the two of them. She tells Kenzi that she had already made plans with Lauren. Then Kenzi goes on about how the two of them don't spend enough time with each other, which Bo can agree on seeing as they are either working together, or she's going off with Lauren. Bo asks Kenzi again about the girl from the other night and receives a blasé answer from Kenzi. She becomes suspicious about Kenzi's lackadaisical demeanor. Kenzi asks Bo to try some of the Thai food she ordered, but Bo asks her to eat some first. Kenzi does so, complimenting the taste. Bo suddenly chokes her, knowing that Kenzi would never eat anything with peanuts in it since she has an acute allergy to them. She demands to know where the real Kenzi is.
At The Dal. Bo brings Kenzi in, claiming that it isn't really her. Tamsin and Dyson, who were shooting pool together, walks over to the scene. Kenzi is being quite squirmish, but Bo maintains her grip. Dyson yells for all of the patrons to leave, who were standing around like spectators at a game. Kenzi is telling them that Bo has gone crazy which pisses Bo off even more. Trick asks Bo to explain to them why she doesn't believe this to be Kenzi, and Bo comes up with a half-ass answer that makes her look suspect instead of just telling them that Kenzi ate a dish with peanuts that would render her dead. The crew looks at each other not knowing what to believe until Kenzi blurts out that Bo's been killing again, much to the excitement of Tamsin. Trick tells Dyson and Tamsin to lock her up, and Bo is relieved. But instead of locking Kenzi up, they put Bo away in the keg room, chaining her in a cell.
Tamsin is having a conversation with Trick in regards to her taking Bo to the Dark Fae compound. Trick disagrees, declaring Sanctuary on Bo's behalf. He suggests that once Lauren shows up, she will find out what's going on with Bo. Tamsin walks away irritated.
She sits at the bar next to Kenzi, who is biting on a piece of jewelry. Tamsin sighs. "So, what's up?" she says. Kenzi gives her a crazy look. Tamsin continues. "So," she says, with another sigh. "That's pretty fucked up what happened huh?"
"Oh please, as if you gave a damn," says Kenzi, still biting on an earring.
Tamsin nods her head. "Well, you got me there. But I'm not talking about me though, this must suck you know, for you."
"Um okay, thanks," says Kenzi, with a frown.
"So Bo actually told you that she did it?" asks Tamsin, still observing Kenzi.
"Not the first time Bo-Bo's gone cray cray. Sex with a Succubus, shit's bound to get a little well, you would know better than anyone."
Tamsin frowns at her. "I beg your pardon?"
"Oh my bad. I forgot," says Kenzi, with a small laugh.
"You forgot what?" says Tamsin, really wanting to know.
"Oh nothing nothing. Little inside joke we have running around here. You wouldn't understand," says Kenzi, now playing with the earring.
"Anyway. You said before that you saw our vic walk out of the house, why is that?"
Kenzi shrugs and shakes her head at the same time. "Shit kinda changes when someone's trying to kill you."
"Hmm, so it does…still though, her saying all that shit about you, it's gotta hurt."
"Well it can't rain all the time. Besides we're still girls," says Kenzi. Tamsin is studying her every move. "Can I help you with something?" says Kenzi, noticing, raising an eyebrow.
Tamsin smirks. "I get the feeling that you're not too fond of me."
"What, get out!?" says Kenzi, with her mouth open as if she were in shock. "You just got that?" Kenzi rolls her eyes. "And no, I don't like you. Ever since you returned," she says, with emphasis on the returned and hand quote gestures. "All you've been is a pain in our asses. Trying to give my homie the three hots and a cot, not to mention that your presence is giving her a fucking nervous breakdown, so no I don't like you, in case you didn't hear me before."
"That's too bad."
"Whatev," says Kenzi, with attitude, cocking her head to the side. "I'm bout to dip out anyway. Gotta go make a care package for my bestie, and I am the master at care packages. So peace and hair grease, wannabe blondie."
Tamsin stares off into nothing in particular. "Thanks for the talk," she says.
Bo is in the cell struggling to get out of the restraints when Lauren enters the room, wearing disposable gloves, and carrying a small ziplock bag. Bo rushes over to the bars. "Lauren, thank goodness. You don't know how happy I am to see you," she says, excitedly and hopeful. "So, you managed to get through to them for me? I mean this is such a big misunderstanding."
Lauren is looking at her with a very serious and regretful expression. "Bo, I'm here to get a DNA sample from you, from your hair."
Bo's smile fades. "Are you serious?" she asks. Lauren doesn't respond. "You should be helping me escape."
Lauren looks down and back up again with a sigh. "I am really sorry Bo."
Bo throws her arms up in the air. "I can't believe this. I thought that you out of everyone else would have my back. I guess I was wrong," she says, with hurt in her voice.
"I'm sorry that you feel that way. But this is the only way I know to help you Bo," says Lauren, trying to be understanding.
Bo starts getting upset. "Help me?! You're sorry?! Every minute we waste talking about this, Kenzi is somewhere probably…I don't even want to think about it. But anything could be happening to her. Are you gonna help me find her or not?"
"Bo, I just need a strand of your hair. It's…"
Bo interrupts. "Are you not hearing me? I said that Kenzi is in trouble!"
"Bo please calm down. Try to understand that what I'm doing is helping you. I mean it breaks my heart to see you like this," says Lauren, sincerely.
"To see me like what?! Upset that my bestfriend is missing and there's a fake Kenzi spreading lies about me?!"
"Can't you hear yourself? You're not making any sense Bo. You're losing yourself. Let me help you."
"Look that bitch is not Kenzi!" Bo becomes frustrated and violently shakes at the bars to which startles Lauren. Bo looks at her as if she has just realized something. "Wait, did you just jump?" asks Bo. Lauren doesn't respond. "So now you're afraid of me? You don't feel safe around me anymore?"
"Bo, you're not well okay. And I can fix whatever it is that is going on with you. Just give me a chance," pleads Lauren. Bo backs away from the bars and Lauren moves closer, grabbing a strand of hair to which hurts Bo's feelings. She places the hair in the bag.
"I won't forget how you betrayed me like this," says Bo, shaking her head.
"Betrayed?" says Lauren, a bit taken aback. "Bo, please don't feel that way. Trust me, I'm doing everything that I can to make things right baby."
Bo smirks a whatever smirk. "Yeah, everything will be right when I get out of here and find Kenzi."
"Bo please. Just let me do my job."
"Do your job? Okay," says Bo, nodding her head. "Just so you know, if anything happens to Kenzi the blame is on you, baby."
Meanwhile, Fake Kenzi goes to the cave where she is holding Kenzi hostage to get more close contact with Kenzi in order for her glamour powers to continue working. She then leaves a couple of Under-Fae to keep watch on Kenzi while she's gone.
Fake Kenzi returns to The Dal, to the keg room to visit Bo with a container of ice cream. Bo smells dirt on her, something that she isn't used to doing before. Fake Kenzi tries to give Bo some ice cream, but Bo refuses. She then gets a bright idea and asks for some ice cream anyway to get Fake Kenzi close to her. Bo puts her charm on her to convince her to release Kenzi, but Fake Kenzi wants to be Bo's only friend. Telling Bo that they don't need Kenzi anymore which makes Bo grab her by the arm quite viciously. Bo lets her know that she knows that Kenzi is alive since she sent her with coconut flavored ice cream, a flavor that she dislikes with a passion. Fake Kenzi starts to go crazy, asking herself why things keep happening to her like that. Bo doesn't have a shred of remorse for her but watches her like she's off her rocker. Bo tells her that she's crazy. Then Fake Kenzi threatens Bo, telling her that it's the last time she will see Kenzi's face then she jumps at Bo with a mouth full of little sharp teeth, growling. Bo does a what-the-fuck jump away from her. Suddenly Dyson enters, and Fake Kenzi uses this as an opportunity to play victim, telling him that Bo went crazy on her yet again. He warns her to stay away from Bo. Bo asks Dyson to look at Fake Kenzi, to see if he can figure out that it's not the real Kenzi. He does so, leaving Bo in restraints and taking the Fake Kenzi with him.
At the same time, Tamsin meets up with The Morrigan in a limo in town. "You rang," says Tamsin, sitting inside.
The Morrigan starts pouring up glasses of champagne. "A cause for celebration my dear. Word travels fast. So," she says, leaning back against the seat, glass in hand. "The Succubitch has finally jumped off the deep end."
Tamsin sighs. "What do you want Morrigan?"
"Oh don't give me that. You know why I'm here. I want the bitch gone for good. And this is the best time to finally hit her where it hurts. The Dark Fae in the coma is the only living eyewitness to speak on just how bad she's gotten."
"You said the operative word, coma."
"Well no shit." The Morrigan looks at her suspect. "Don't try to play me Tamsin. I know all about you, even if you want to play like you forgot everything on your backwards journey. So let's cut the shit. It's not cute."
Tamsin frowns. "If I wake him, he'll stay that way until he dies."
"And my heart bleeds," says The Morrigan, with an eye roll. "I'm the one who put you on the assignment, you can get out of character now. We both know that you don't give a damn. Or has the Succubitch gotten to you already."
"Look, I'm really getting fucking tired of you saying shit like that to me," says Tamsin, annoyed.
"Then do what I ask you to do Tamsin. How hard is that really?" says The Morrigan, shaking her head.
"Whatever," says Tamsin. She opens the door to get out.
"What, you're not even going to drink your drink?" says The Morrigan, with a quaint little smile.
Tamsin closes the door after her.
Back at The Dal. Dyson is giving Fake Kenzi a lecture. Then he questions her about The Norn just to be sure. Though offended, Fake Kenzi answers all of his questions accurately, even adding other things that an impostor wouldn't know, all the while Tamsin watching. Fake Kenzi convinces Dyson to let her stay at his place.
The Keg Room. Bo is busy trying to break out of her chains when Tamsin enters. "Hey," she says, with a smirk. "Looks like you won't be able to get out of that shit, reinforced steel and everything. And you look like you could use a meal, maybe even a buffet."
Bo looks exhausted. "That's why I'm not even going to waste my energy on you."
"Ouch. Probably would have hurt if I cared."
"Why are you here Tamsin? To torture me?"
"As much pleasure I imagine that would bring me, I'm gonna go with otherwise, for now. So, about your pet human…"
Bo interrupts. "Kenzi, her name is Kenzi, and she's my bestfriend." Bo shakes her head. "I really don't have time for your games Tamsin, she is all I can think about. And she's in trouble."
Tamsin sighs. "Well anyway, I guess you're gonna have to find a way out then."
"What?" says Bo, confused.
Tamsin rolls her eyes. "You heard me."
Bo is trying to figure Tamsin out, but can't. "I don't get it. You don't care about anything remember?"
"I don't. I so don't. And I don't know why I'm doing this…anyway, even though I want you to pay for your crimes, this one isn't yours. That human is not your pet. And we're gonna have to get some concrete evidence."
Bo moves to the bars. "Don't shit me Tamsin."
"No shits," says Tamsin, holding up a set of keys.
"Then we don't have a lot of time," says Bo. Tamsin opens the door and releases Bo from her restraints. Then she hands Bo her dagger. "I don't know how to thank you."
"We haven't gotten that far yet," says Tamsin. She places her arm in front of Bo, who looks up at her. "Bo, don't fuck this up," she says.
Bo nods her head. "So what's the best way out?"
"The same way we came in," says Tamsin, confidently.
"And Dyson?" asks Bo, placing the dagger in her thigh holder.
"He should be long gone by now." Tamsin steps in front of her and walks out the door.
They walk to the bar and find Dyson standing there. Tamsin sighs.
"Long gone huh?" says Bo.
Tamsin shrugs. "Shit happens."
Dyson frowns. "What do you think you're doing?" he says, firmly.
"Shouldn't you be on your way taking Kenzi somewhere?" says Tamsin.
"That's not the answer. I'll ask differently so that you can understand, why is Bo out?" says Dyson, with a bit of reprimand in his voice.
"For air. Fae cruelty and all," says Tamsin, with a smirk. Bo and Dyson stare at each other. "Look Dyson, I'm kinda on a strict time frame. So, you can either let us go freely, or."
Dyson folds his arms in a macho manner. "Or you can place Bo back in her restraints."
"Um okay." Tamsin laughs a little. "I'm sorry was that a threat."
Dyson unfolds his arms. "I don't know what you think you have planned but I promise you, you will not make it out the door. So take Bo back where she belongs."
"Oh really?" says Tamsin, nodding. "I actually would pay to see that happen," she adds. Dyson growls.
"Dyson listen. Kenzi is in trouble. Instead of trying to block us, you should be helping us find her," says Bo, trying to plead with him.
"And you should be back in the keg room, locked up," says Dyson, pointing towards it. "I swore an oath, and I intend to keep it." He looks at Tamsin. "At all costs."
"I don't care anything about oaths Dyson. The only thing that matters is getting Kenzi back," says Bo, genuinely.
"Didn't your mother teach you not to make promises that you can't keep?" says Tamsin, with a shrug. "I'm just trying to understand."
"Did yours?" says Dyson, smartly.
"Okay." Tamsin wraps her hair into a ball. "You know, I was hoping that it wouldn't come to this for your sake. But since you're being a dumbass, you leave me no choice," she says.
"Come to what, you placing Bo back in her bonds?" says Dyson.
Tamsin exhales. "When will they ever learn?"
"I already know your game Tamsin. If I shift to my wolf there's no stopping me," says Dyson as a matter of fact.
"Sounds like an old dog with old tricks to me. But I got a treat especially for you," says Tamsin.
"Yeah what's that?" says Dyson, not intimidated or impressed.
"An upgrade," says Tamsin, bowing her head. Sounds of suffering and torment emerge. The cold air surfaces. The lights flicker, and bottles starts bursting open. The sun reflects inside of The Dal, and Tamsin's shadow disappears and reappears behind Dyson's shadow, holding it in place. Dyson soon realizes that he cannot move. Tamsin's face is ghastly as she slowly walks over to him, head slanted. He starts mumbling gibberish, backing away, bumping into bar chairs. Then Bo hits him in the back of the head with a book, knocking him out.
"What the hell was that?" says Bo, eyes alert.
"Time to go Akon," says Tamsin, walking away.
They are outside walking through an empty lot. "Anyway, tell me about this Kenzi doppelgänger," says Tamsin.
"Well, besides the fact that she's incredibly clingy, not to mention certifiably crazy. She had a lot of little and really sharp teeth," says Bo.
"Really really little sharp teeth?" asks Tamsin. Bo nods her head. Tamsin frowns. "I may know of a lead."
"How's that?" asks Bo, with a lost look.
"I may have done a job way back when for some people. I think I know what may be behind this."
"Yeah way to be vague as always."
"It just sounds like a Fox Fae, well a Kitsune."
The two continue until they reach Tamsin's truck that is gray, and not in the best condition. "What no Ducati?" asks Bo, surprised. Tamsin gives her a funny look. Bo is thinking about Dyson's condition. "Dyson, he's gonna be fine right? I mean he looked pretty bad back there. I'm not going to have to visit him in an institution am I?"
Tamsin sighs. "He'll live if that's what you're asking."
Bo shakes her head. "I never saw that before. I mean you do that before, shadows and stuff."
"Oh that. Well you never know what's in store when someone pisses me off," says Tamsin.
"I definitely would have to agree with you there," says Bo. She opens the passenger side door and hops in.
Tamsin runs her fingers through her hair and a nice chunk of it comes out in her hand. She throws it on the ground and gets inside of the car.
Back at The Dal, Lauren and Trick have just finished arguing over the results of Bo's testing. They calm down and go back to their rational selves. After, they decide to visit Bo in her cell, but when they get there Bo is nowhere to be found. They go to the bar area and find Dyson on the floor, mumbling like he lost his wits.
At the Gamma Chi Sorority House/Local Kitsune Dwelling. Bo and Tamsin enter being escorted by one of the sorority girls. They all seem to be wearing skimpy shorts and tank tops.
"What's up Tam-Tam?" says one of them.
Tamsin is blushing with embarrassment. She tries to keep it kosher. "Lola, Amanda…This is uh, she is uh, my uh…" says Tamsin, not able to get the words out.
"I'm Bo," says Bo, completing Tamsin's statement for her. "I'm Tamsin's friend," she says. Tamsin does this yeah-that-works look.
"Bo is it? You wouldn't be the won't choose a side Bo?" says Lola, crossing her arms.
"Wait didn't they say that she was Dark?" says another girl, entering the conversation, all smiles.
"That would be Kasey," says Tamsin, to Bo.
"Aren't you supposed to be locked up in Hecuba prison?" says Lola.
"Well you can't believe everything you hear," says Bo. "But unaligned I am."
"I thought Bo was supposed to be cute and stuff," says Amanda. Everyone looks at her crazy. "Well this one is all blah," she says, with a shrug.
"It's things like that that makes me not ever miss not attending college, or having female friends," says Bo, giving Amanda a look.
"Um okay, let's stay on track here. We're trying to find o'l girl. You know the one that used to live with you, she likes jewelry, bites on earrings, crazy shit like that?" says Tamsin.
"Inari," says Lola, Amanda and Kasey at the same time with very disturbed expressions. Tamsin nods her head.
"We're not cool with Inari anymore," says Amanda.
"Yeah we deleted her from off our Twitter and IG. And blocked her on our Facebook pages," adds Kasey. Bo feels like she's in high school all over again, looking over to Tamsin with this what-have-you-gotten-me-into look. Tamsin shrugs her shoulders.
"She was too much for us to handle," says Lola.
"You all remember when I told you about the night I was sleeping, and I woke up and she was just watching me. Still gives me the creeps," says Amanda, shivering from the thought.
"That's nothing. I caught her in the bathroom using my toothbrush. Like she was really brushing her teeth with it. Like eww," says Kasey, looking like she wants to gag.
"You forgot to mention your boyfriend. Didn't she use him too with her mouth?" teases Amanda. Kasey growls at Amanda, displaying her sharp tiny teeth.
"Things got too real after she molotoved our last house," says Lola.
"We had to rent Tam-Tam out for safety purposes," says Kasey, chipper.
"Among other things," says Lola.
"Yeah because that's not cryptic," says Bo.
"I may have made her second guess herself, and duped her into visiting The Norn by telling her that she would grant her any wish," says Tamsin.
"Yeah at a major cost," says Bo.
"Her only wish was that she had a friend," says Tamsin.
"If she wasn't so damn crazy and kidnappy, I would feel sorry for her," says Bo, folding her arms.
"The Norn took her glam instead. And without them we can't feed," says Lola.
"No glam no feed equals cray," says Kasey.
"Does The Norn still have her powers?" asks Bo.
"Word on the street is a human took a chainsaw and went all massacre on The Norn's tree," says Lola.
"She got Inari's powers on her. And Inari found out about it and went all stalkerazzi," says Amanda.
"Kenzi. I don't understand why she would ever see The Norn," frowns Bo.
"Where can we find her?" asks Tamsin, getting back to the task at hand.
"Well whenever we had bitch-fits, though hers was always uber, she'd…" says Kasey, being cut off.
"Put a sock in it Kasey," warns Lola.
"Yeah, we don't need that kind of drama," adds Amanda.
"Chill out guys. Tam is fam. Plus she always has our back," says Kasey, excitedly nodding her head.
Bo looks over to Tamsin. "Is that right?" she says. Tamsin looks more embarrassed than ever.
"So like when we all used to get into it, she would go to this cave off of Highway 8, by the old dump," finishes Kasey.
"Thanks for the tip," says Tamsin.
"Word of advice," says Lola, with a serious tone. "Tread with caution."
"Yeah so glad I'm not that human," adds Kasey.
Dyson's Apartment. Inari is busy taking a shower when Dyson calls Tamsin, who is sitting in the truck with Bo. "Can I help you?" she answers.
"I appreciate the migraine you left me. I'll be prepared next time around," says Dyson.
"Whoever said there will be a next time?" says Tamsin.
"Like I said, I know what you're about Tamsin."
"Do you now? But hey, whatever makes you sleep better at night buddy."
"Where's Bo? You said that you wouldn't take her to the Dark compound."
"And I won't," says Tamsin, a bit annoyed.
"Your word doesn't count for much these days."
"You know whose word does? Tone." Tamsin hangs up the phone, throwing it in the back.
"Who was that?" asks Bo.
"No one important. Let's go," she says, starting up the truck.
