At The Dal. They arrive out of nowhere. Bo is calling for help as she hovers over Dyson. The gang rushes over to him. Lauren starts performing chest compressions to no avail.
"Congratulations, you succeeded. And as Hand, Dyson gave up his life for you to make it," says Stella.
"What?!" exclaims Bo. She looks over to them. "You all knew about this?"
"I didn't know shit," says Kenzi.
"It was his decision to make," says Trick, rather calmly.
Then everyone is looking sad while Bo begins to trip out when Dyson isn't returning. She keeps saying that things aren't real. Then she stands up like she is dizzy, holding her head. Her body starts blushing, bones outlined, eyes blue. The mysterious wind emerges, blowing at her, arms stretched out. Now everyone is looking on in confusion, curiosity and fear. She looks at them with this relishing smile.
"Dammit, I knew this shit was gonna happen!" says Kenzi.
"Dominions will have no power, for I am sovereignty. As is my father. And we will be supreme that even Death will no longer have its name," says Bo, dark demonic voice echoing. Then she super chi sucks the gang, just enough to not kill them. Both Kenzi and Lauren fall to the floor while Stella and Trick are bending in pain, coughing and looking disturbed.
"For it will be I who decides who lives, and who dies," says Dark Bo. She opens her mouth and let escapes the chi she has just taken from the gang, flowing it into Dyson. He wakes up coughing, and he happily smiles. She smiles back having returned to herself. Everyone is still trying to make sense of what just happened, and Lauren is feeling left out as she watches Bo's and Dyson's interaction with one another as if she were just shot in the heart without a single bullet, that is until Kenzi breaks the peace.
Trying to catch her breath. "Hate to break up…this happy reunion…since everyone else seems to be blind. But where the hell is Tamsin?" asks Kenzi.
What?!" says Bo, looking around. "She's not here. I grabbed them both," she says. Dyson stands to his feet.
Then Kenzi thinks that maybe she should have acted like she was blind too because she knows that Bo is about to really flip her wig. "Um…maybe she's somewhere in The Dal too," says Kenzi, reassuringly.
"It looks as if The Temple claimed her instead," says Stella, unemotionally as if it were just a business transaction.
"Lady please shut the fuck up!" says Kenzi, to Stella. Stella looks at Kenzi as if she were an ant and she the giant.
"Wait no, that's not possible. I had them both," says Bo, holding her head. "I need to go back in there. Is there a way to get back inside of The Temple," she asks, Stella.
"I am afraid not. Your Dawning is over," says Stella.
"Trick, tell me that you have something, you always have something," says Bo.
"Sorry. There's nothing that can be done. Like Dyson, she knew what the outcome would be as well," says Trick.
"But that's not fair. It's not fair," says Bo.
Lauren, Dyson and Trick are looking at Bo like what is all the fuss about, confused since last time they checked, her and Tamsin were like enemies.
"I warned you all about the consequences of going against the rules," says Stella.
"She done fucked up and said the wrong thing," says Kenzi, throwing up her hands. "Oh I just hope my mother can recognize my face," she says, to herself.
"Rules! I didn't even know what being a Hand meant when you all did!" says Bo, anger starting to build.
"Just to clarify, that was them. Hell I thought everyone was coming back not dead," says Kenzi.
"And consequences! I wasn't told anything about consequences except failure before I left. I wasn't the one who broke the rules," Bo says, angrily looking at Dyson.
"Hold on Bo, I did what I had to do to make sure you would be preserved, knowing that it was my life," says Dyson.
"And you knew that she was giving up her life for me too. But you still broke the rules," says Bo. Dyson doesn't say anything. "And what did you all do, ridiculed and and insulted her as if her life didn't mean a damn!"
"Again not me," interjects Kenzi.
"We didn't trust her Bo," says Trick.
"But I did! You might as well have said you didn't trust me," says Bo.
"Bo just calm down. What's done is done," says Dyson. Kenzi shakes her head like no Dyson, those were not the right words.
"That's a hell of a thing to say when you're standing here alive and well. That's why I can never be aligned, but I know for damn sure that if I were, it wouldn't be with the Light, you all act like you're better than everyone else when all you are is a bunch of arrogant assholes who is just as dirty and act as if your shit doesn't stink," says Bo. Her expression is a mixture of pain and anger.
"Preach," says Kenzi, in agreement to her every word.
The others are quiet because now they are realizing that they may have made a mistake. Bo goes back over to the bowl and places another flower in it. Then another, and another. Kenzi is feeling sorry for Bo because she knows how Bo is feeling. All Kenzi can do is shake her head. "I am getting back into that Temple!" she says, placing yet another in the bowl. "Why should one person suffer over a decision that wasn't made by me? Why isn't this working?!" She knocks the whole bowl of water over.
"Because it cannot be undone," says Stella.
Bo falls down to her knees and bows her head. Kenzi goes over to her to console her, kneeling beside Bo, rubbing her shoulders. "It's gonna be alright Bo-Bo."
"No it's not Kenzi…and you of all people should know that," says Bo, in between tears.
"We'll find her Bo," says Kenzi.
"Humans, I don't understand why they lie to comfort someone when they should tell the truth so that the person can move on," says Stella.
"It's called having a heart lady. And I'm not lying to comfort her. I'm comforting her because she is my friend. And we will find her even if you all don't want to help, don't believe, or care," says Kenzi, standing up.
Lauren is just there, looking as lost as ever, not understanding Bo's reaction at all, with Dyson she could, but Tamsin was a different story entirely.
"I don't know why you're getting so worked up for, it's just Tamsin," says Dyson.
"D-man really? I mean damn she was your partner. And she may not remember all our memories, but we all remember ours. She saved your life before dude. And you're with her here playing pool and drinking all the time," says Kenzi, shaking her head. "You lose major cool points for being two-faced dude." When Bo lifts up her head her eyes are back blue and become so bright that it blinds them. "See this is all your fault," says Kenzi, backing away. They feel the floor shaking underneath them. Bo stands up with the same wind, blush skin and etched out bones. She moves her arm forward and Dyson goes flying against the wall. Then his body lifts up and slams against the wall again.
"Bo stop it!" yells Trick. Bo looks at him with her head slanted. Suddenly he falls to his knees in pain.
"Oh my God!" says Stella, with her hand covering her mouth.
"Bo please," says Lauren. "You're hurting the people you love," she says, trying to get through to her. Bo looks at Lauren like she's about to be next.
"Okay Bo-Bo. I know you're upset, but if there is a part of you in there, please don't hurt us," says Kenzi. "At least not all of us. Plus you know me already Dark demon Bo. I am your best friend. You have saved my life so many times that I can't even count anymore. And even though we've never really talked. I got nothing but love for you. So please don't hurt us."
Dark Bo looks at nothing in particular then starts punching the air, breaking it open as if there were something there, tearing through space. She looks at Kenzi, who appears terrified. "I am Isabeau." Then she looks at all of them. "And I will reign as Queen. And you will all kneel before me."
"Kneel bitches, she's serious," whispers Kenzi, to the others left standing. The women all kneel.
"For my powers have no bounds. Be mindful to not forget," says Dark Bo. Then she disappears into the tear in space.
The group is not sure what to make of Bo anymore. Lauren goes to check on Trick. "I'm alright. Go and see about Dyson," he tells her. She goes over to Dyson, who looks like he is in pain but is too proud to show it.
"I'm fine," he says, getting up, walking back over to the group. "Trick, how are we gonna get Bo back?" asks Dyson, holding his backside discreetly.
"I don't know," says Trick.
"So much power," says Stella, shaking her head. "It is something to be feared."
Lauren is silent. She doesn't know what to think. Bo sucked her chi for Dyson. And now she is going hard for Tamsin. And the way Bo looked into her eyes was like a different person entirely. And she wondered had not Kenzi intervened would she have been harmed as well.
"We must figure out a way to get her back," says Dyson.
"Yes before the darkness consumes her completely," says Trick. "If it hasn't already."
"Who is this child?" asks Stella, to Trick.
"That doesn't matter. What matters is getting her back," says Trick.
"You two should have thought about that before you sent D-man in there to break the rules. And now you want to find a way to get Bo when you didn't have a clue when she asked you all about Tamsin. What a bunch of dipshits," says Kenzi.
"I will not have a human talk to me in that way," says Trick.
"Oh now I'm just a human when I'm always helping everyone. You were planning on killing your own grand-daughter if she came back any different. Well guess what, she did, just not in the way you expected," says Kenzi. "And I've been talking shit since day one, that's what I do, ain't nobody stopped me then and damn sure won't stop me now."
"Kenzi does have a point," says Lauren, finally. "And so did Bo. If we had just listened to her in the first place, believed in her instincts, then we wouldn't be in this situation."
"What happens if she does return, the same way she left?" asks Stella.
"Then we must do what must be done," says Dyson.
"The hell you will, you're not putting my bestie down like that," says Kenzi. "And how the hell can you say anything after she saved your life?" she says, to Dyson. "What the fuck, am I the only sane person in here."
"She will be a danger to us all, it's in her blood," says Trick.
"So is good," says Kenzi. "That's what's wrong with you Fae, you never tell people the whole story and then you wonder why shit gets too real."
Suddenly Bo appears from the portal that she opened, holding Tamsin in both arms. Still Dark Bo though. She places Tamsin on the floor gently. Everyone else watches in silence from a distance. Then Bo returns to her normal self.
"Bo," says Dyson.
"Is there anything that can be done?" says Bo, flatly, back turned away from them.
Everyone looks at Lauren. Lauren carefully chooses her words. "From my observation, she appears to be in the same condition as Dyson was when he returned."
"Can't you try to help her like you did for Dyson?" asks Bo.
"If I could I would, but Bo you must remember that I belong to the Light therefore I cannot interfere," says Lauren.
"So you would not even try to help someone because of who they are aligned to?" says Bo.
"Bo you must understand, things are complicated and I did not create the rules," says Lauren.
"Fine, I'll just save her the same way I did for Dyson," says Bo, standing up, facing them.
"No don't. If you take our chi again, you will kill us," says Lauren.
"Please Bo, I wasn't planning on dying today," says Kenzi.
"What if I took yours back?" says Bo, looking over to Dyson.
"Bo you don't mean that," says Dyson, hurt.
"Yes the hell she does," says Kenzi, under her breath.
"I don't care," says Bo, teary-eyed.
"Bo, you're just exhausted. You don't know what you're saying. You have been through a lot today," says Trick.
"Leave me alone. All of you," says Bo, returning her attention back to Tamsin, sitting beside her.
"I think that we should respect her wishes," says Stella.
"I'll call it in to The Morrigan," says Trick. They all go to Trick's office, leaving Bo and Tamsin alone.
Then Bo starts beating on Tamsin's chest while crying. "You said that you would come back! You lied to me!" She then lies next to Tamsin, with her hand against Tamsin's chest, charming Tamsin's entire body. "You can't be dead. Do you hear me? You have to get up." Bo is quiet for a moment, sitting up. And then. "Get up!" she yells, hitting at Tamsin again. "I can't do this again. You hear me? I need you…"
Meanwhile in Trick's office, everyone is quiet as he gets off the phone. He notifies them that The Sweepers are on their way. Dyson tells them that maybe they should go check on Bo.
"Dude, I think you may be the last person she wants to see right now. I'm just keeping it real," says Kenzi. Stella and Trick are talking amongst each other while Lauren is lost in her thoughts. "Man we should have called Hale."
"What would that have done?" says Dyson.
"I don't know. He is The Ash. He probably has something to bring her back to life. Ashes have shit just laying around," says Kenzi.
"I don't know if that's the best idea," says Dyson.
"Well it's better than doing nothing at all. And calling The Morrigan wasn't a good idea either if you ask me," says Kenzi.
"She's Dark Fae Kenzi, the Dark can take care of their own," says Dyson.
"And I'm telling you that if we don't do something, the Dark is going to be the least of yall's problem," says Kenzi.
"What do you mean?" says Dyson.
"Dude, are you blind or something? I'm talking about Bo. If you thought that was scary, be prepared to shit on yourself," says Kenzi.
Lauren shakes her head. "What was that? Why is she acting like that towards Tamsin? I don't understand it at all."
Kenzi doesn't really know how to answer the question without exposing Bo. "Well you know, she and Bo was tight back in the day, good friends. I'm sure if it were any of us, she would do the same thing. You know Bo. She likes to see people being treated fairly and shit. Man is there any booze down here," says Kenzi.
"But that doesn't make any sense. They're not even friends now," says Lauren.
"I'll say. But hey it's Bo. We might be besties, but hell I don't even know why she does the things she does, but I am still there for her, crazy or not," says Kenzi.
Back with Tamsin, Bo is still refusing to let go. Suddenly her eyes turn blue then her body erupts into blue flames, consuming both her and Tamsin. Nothing else burns except them, only they aren't, just engulfed in it. Then Tamsin's eyes open, red, the black worlds start surrounding them. Her body turns grayish black. The lights start flickering. Bo's eyes turn red. The tables, chairs, pool tables, bar stools are all elevated, but not circling around. They look into each other's eyes. And even with the flames over them, Tamsin's body heat burns hotter. Bo sucks some of her chi as she goes to kiss her. As they kiss, Bo bites Tamsin's bottom lip, piercing it. Tamsin is bleeding, but it does not seem to affect her. Bo lifts up, her feet isn't on the ground. Tamsin stands. She touches the bar counter and a chain comes from it, snatching Bo over to her. Their faces rub against each other. And they kiss again rather ravenously. Bo wraps her legs around Tamsin's waist as she leans back, eyes closed, nails penetrating Tamsin's back using it as an anchor. Tamsin holds Bo by her sides, hands burning hot against Bo's skin. Their breathing heavy as if they were somewhere else as their bodies moved and reacted like they were engaging in sex, but it could not be seen.
Suddenly a very strong jolt pushes them away from each other like before at the cop shop. Then everything that was in the air falls back in its place, and the lights stop flickering. Tamsin returns back to normal and so does Bo, except her eyes are now blue and the fire still surrounds them. The rest of the gang runs to the scene from the noise.
"Oh my God, they're on fire, where is the extinguisher," says Stella.
"That is not the kind of fire that you can put out," says Kenzi.
Tamsin's body absorbs all of the flames and it resides in her hand to which she extinguishes by clutching her fist. Everyone is looking like WTF. Bo and Tamsin are looking into each other. Yet the others cannot see this because Bo's back is to them.
Kenzi laughs it off. "Don't be alarmed, this kind of shit happens all the time. "Yo Bo-Bo." Bo snaps out of it. But she hugs Tamsin anyway, happy that she is alive. Tamsin doesn't know how to respond, especially with an audience, who are looking at them like what is going on.
Tamsin clears her throat. "Oh, I'm sorry," says Bo, letting go.
"I just wanted to say thanks and all," says Tamsin, a bit uncomfortable from the viewers.
"No, I should be the one thanking you," says Bo, with a smile. "I mean, you didn't have to do what you did for me."
"Like I said before, civic duty," says Tamsin.
"Civic duty. I'll take that," says Bo.
"Okay, I should go," says Tamsin. Bo nods her head. Then Tamsin exits.
"Bo," says Kenzi, running over to her with a hug. "You did it. I never doubted you for a second."
"Thanks Kenz," says Bo. She turns to the rest of them. "I just wanted to apologize to everyone if I were, if I acted irrationally or if I did anything to harm anyone."
"You're fine Bo. We're just glad that you're back and safe," says Trick. "Let me go call everything off. Drinks on me," he says.
"Now that's what I'm talking about," says Kenzi, hurrying to the bar.
Dyson walks over to Bo. "Glad you're back Bo."
"To be honest I don't know how I left. But yeah, I'm glad to be back. And I'm sorry if I said some things that were pretty harsh and…"
Dyson interrupts. "It's all in the past."
Lauren comes over. "Dyson, I need you to come to my lab so that I can take a look at you," she says.
"Will do," he says. "I guess I'll leave you two to yourselves."
"Thanks Dyson for…"
Dyson interrupts again. "Bo, I would do it again if I had to. No worries," he says. Then he walks away.
Bo looks at Lauren, not really knowing what to say. "Hey, it's been a long day huh?" she says.
"Yes you could say that. How are you feeling Bo?" asks Lauren.
"I feel? I feel like…I don't know. Things are still processing for me," says Bo, with a smile.
"Maybe I should check on you too, just in case," says Lauren.
"You know what, I think I'm good. But thank you for the offer," says Bo, casually.
"Okay," says Lauren, nodding her head.
"Wow, this is kind of awkward," says Bo.
"I agree," says Lauren.
"Maybe, maybe we should set aside some time to talk to each other. You know when you're not busy. Or I'm not busy, and we both have some free time at the same time," says Bo. She shakes her head. "Okay, this is getting all weird, and it's too weird even for us. Lauren…I just wanted to say that…" Bo gets cut off.
"It's okay Bo. I'll always be there for you," says Lauren.
"Um thanks, same here," says Bo, looking at Lauren a certain kind of way, wondering what's really going on inside of her.
"Okay, well unless you have something else to talk about I should really get going with Dyson to the lab," says Lauren, still distant and confused.
Bo notices. "I guess I don't," she responds, rather dismal.
"Like you said Bo, it's been a long day. We'll talk at another time. When we're both not busy," says Lauren.
"Okay then," says Bo, feeling kind of hurt and still guilty. She watches as Lauren and Dyson make their exits.
A bit later, Bo and Kenzi are sitting at the bar in The Dal, drinking and discussing the events that took place. "It's been crazy as hell," says Kenzi. "I know that had to be hard at The Dawning."
"It was hard, and it was a complete mind trip. It was like I was lost in this dream world and couldn't get out of it. On top of that, I still couldn't comprehend what was real or not. I'm telling you, that place was so twisted. But that's another story. I'm just happy that everyone came back and alive."
"So am I. I never got Succubused before. I almost feel like a gummy bear."
"I'm sorry about that, it was my only option."
"No probs. I get it. And I like gummy bears anyway. I'm just glad that you didn't do it twice," says Kenzi. Bo wants to say something, but Kenzi stops her. "It's okay, it all worked out. So Dyson's with the Doc getting checked out."
"Yeah." Bo looks at a rifle sitting on the counter in front of them. "So that was you all's last resort?"
"That was all Trick. You know I got you," says Kenzi, taking bullets from out of her pocket.
"Thanks. But I wonder, what if I didn't make it?"
"But you did Bo. That's all that matters," says Kenzi. They both toast to that. "Now what I want to know is how did you manage to get Tamsin back?"
"I don't know exactly. I felt like I was in control when I brought Dyson back," says Bo.
Kenzi is looking like I wouldn't say all that. "How so?"
"When I was able to group chi everyone without killing anyone," says Bo.
"So do you ever remember saying, I mean do you remember saying anything while you were bringing Dyson back to life? Or doing anything when it came to Tamsin?"
"No. Why do you ask? Did I say anything or do something?"
"Oh no, I was too busy getting siphoned like gas from a car to notice with Dyson, but it's all good. And Tamsin, I was just wondering. Anyway continue," says Kenzi, trying to appear as natural as she can be.
"But yeah, it was like when it came to her, I lost control of myself. Like there was something else there. And to tell you the truth it was like a total blackout. But I don't believe I got her from The Temple. It's hard to explain, it's just a feeling that I have like being in between worlds. I don't know. It was all mist and clouds for me really. I know I was pissed at Dyson, blackout. Then Tamsin was on the floor. And I was trying to revive her and I blacked out again. Then I just remember her standing in front of me, looking at me. And I was just so relieved that she was there that I hugged her, and I didn't want to let go."
"Yeah well observed, that's why I called out to you. You know, you're gonna have to start paying me for saving your ass." They both drink some more. "So…I guess I know where the fire came from."
"What do you mean?"
"You both have it. She took it from you and her body and put it out by gripping her hand. If that ain't gangsta, I don't know what is."
"I didn't know that I could even do that."
"I'm not sure if you're supposed to. You two have a major connection to each other."
"Here we go again, speaking about fairytales."
"I'm serious Bo. I've seen some shit now. And I see a lot of similarities in you two, it just comes out in a different way, but there is definitely major connection."
Bo sighs. "Now what are you talking about?"
Kenzi shrugs. "That's for me to know."
"So it's like that," says Bo, with a smile.
"Yep because you still haven't told me about how the previous rendezvous happened. So yep," says Kenzi, drinking her drink.
"Another time. Right now I feel so like..."
"You're on Holy Fucking Shit phase 4 Fuck Yeah Motherfucka," says Kenzi, drinking some more.
"Well yeah, kind of," nods Bo.
"I can dig it. You have developed into your own. Finally a young, yet mature Fae."
"You take the keys tonight. I feel like walking. You gonna be alright?"
"I will be fine Bo. You my dear must stay out of trouble."
"I always do." Bo gives Kenzi a hug and a kiss on the cheek before she leaves.
Kenzi shakes her head. Thinking that maybe she should have told Bo about the things she said, and what she did to Dyson and Trick, but she didn't want to freak her out. It's not like she's never heard Bo saying crazy shit about taking over the world, and doing things, but this time everyone else seen it too, and didn't say anything. So now she wonders why they are keeping it a secret from her, especially Trick. She drinks the rest of her drink.
Meanwhile Stella and Trick are in the middle of talking about Bo. "Wow, your grand-daughter is something indeed. The powers she displayed are not those of a Succubus," says Stella.
"Stella," says Trick, changing the subject. "I wanted to express my thanks to you. It has truly been most helpful, but also a pleasure to have worked with you."
"My work is never over, I am in high demand. But I am going to Scotland for awhile, you are welcomed to join me."
"Thank you for the invitation. But I feel I'm needed here, with my grand-daughter."
Stella walks over to him and holds his hands before bending down to kiss him. "The offer is always open. But even the Blood King deserves a break every now and then." Trick is quiet. Then she leaves.
Trick goes over to a chest, opening it and looking a bit on the disturbed side. "It can't be him," he says, looking at a picture of what appears to be a gigantic demonic Pegasus breathing fire on a group of defenseless people.
