"Do not be such a drag, Proxima." Sol spoke, "It is not like it was capable of forming anyway."

Proxima averted their eyes, "It was only an innocent being... how could I have let this happen?"

"It is not your fault, Proxima," Sirius assured.

"But it is our duty to look after newly formed beings, is it not?" Proxima bit his lip.

"Indeed. However, we can not foresee such events," Toliman told him, laying a hand on the other's forearm.

"We can help you get your mind off it, though." Gliese stepped in, "What do you say, Proxima?"

"Sure." Proxima gave the others a small smile.

"You coming, Helios?" Spica turned to her friend, whom she realized was not following.

"I honestly do not get what the big deal is," Sol said, prompting the others to stop and stare at the Yellow Star.

"What do you mean?" Toliman questioned, his gaze intimidating.

"Why are you so upset about a planet that was destroyed? It happens all the time." Sol shrugged.

Gliese huffed, "Just because you do not have a single strand of empathy does not mean you get to make everyone feel worse."

"I do have empathy, just not for ridiculous things such as this!" Sol scowled. Proxima frowned, casting his eyes to the void below.

"You will hold your words, Helios," Toliman spoke, glaring at him.

"What? Am I getting lectured now?"

"What is your problem, Helios!?" Gliese yelled, "Is this fun for you? Do you enjoy making us suffer!?"

Sol scoffed, flexing his hands repeatedly, "Do not make me laugh, Gliese. Of course not! Why do you always attack me? The others do not seem as bothered as you are."

"Because you are insufferable!"

3... he reached behind him.

"Have you ever had a single thought in your entire existence?"

2... he pulled out a long wire of fire and plasma.

"You act so high and mighty that it is annoying-"

"Helios, no-!" He faintly heard Spica calling out to him.

1... the whip came crashing down.

...

"Sol." Spica pressed a gentle hand on the other's shoulder, spooking him out of his thoughts, "You okay?"

Sun glanced at her, flashing a smile, "Yeah- just thinking, hahah!"

Spica noticed the crestfallen look in his eyes as he moved away from her, his arms crossing over each other as he returned to his thoughts.

"You're thinking about it, aren't you?" The Blue Star knitted her eyebrows together as she looked at her friend with worry.

"About what?" Sun blinked, biting the inside of his cheek.

"Don't play dumb, Helios." Spica spoke, "You're thinking about what happened all those eons ago, right?"

Sun averted his eyes, casting them toward the void below. He opened his mouth, the word barely above a whisper, "Yes."

"Sol..." Spica sighed, "That's in the past now-"

"Is it?" Sun peered up at the other, looking into her eyes, "If it was the past, then how come it's haunting me? How come you're here?"

"I'm here to help you, Sol- because I care about you."

Sun shook his head, "You shouldn't be here, though. Because of me, everyone I know and love is in danger."

"Do you prefer to fight them all on your own?"

"What? Of course not!"

"Look around you, Sol- you have other Celestials who will love nothing more than to fight by your side! I would give anything to have something like that." Spica frowned.

Sun winced, "Spic-"

"I mean, not only do you have a planet with marvelous rings or over two hundred moons in this place, or a planet that can harbor life- which is unheard of!" Spica turned to face the other, "You, Helios, are one lucky Star to have this much natural beauty in one place."

The Sun felt his face grow impeccably warmer, the plasma rising within him as he held back a solar flare, his mouth contorting awkwardly.

Spica noticed the growing uncomfortable look on her friend's face, raising a concerned eyebrow as she held out a hand, "Are you okay, Sol?"

"Mmh..." Sun nodded, then held up one finger as he quickly turned around and released the flare into the atmosphere.

Spica faltered, watching the intense radiation blasting into space with wide eyes before raising a hand and patting her friend on the back.

The Sun kept his gaze away from the other as he composed himself, his hand coming up to wipe the corner of his mouth.

"That seemed rough." Spica chuckled, "Feel better?"

"Ugh..." Sun grunted, the rising heat from moments ago finally dissipating.

...

"What are we doing here again?" A human in an expensive suit and sunglasses spoke, peering his eyes across the room, "And why am I stuck in a room with you four, of all people?"

"Well, I'm sorry, America- it's not like I wanted to come here." Another spoke, crossing his arms as he bundled them within his sleeves.

"Where is the guy in charge anyway?" The third grabbed his ushanka, "It's been thirty minutes-"

"Maybe he's out doing your m-"

"I swear to god, Canada! Make another your mom joke and I will strangle you!" America slammed his fist down.

"Chill out, everyone." The cape-wearing superhero spoke, propping his feet on the meeting table, "I bet it's just a simple climate change problem."

"Climate change doesn't exist," China spoke.

"For once, I agree." America nodded with Russia humming in agreement, "It's nothing more than propaganda and conspiracy theories."

Canada blinked.

"Right." Mr. Spherical huffed as he crossed his arms, not wanting to get on the country leaders' bad sides.

The door opened, revealing Houston and NasaDude, the latter carrying files and papers.

"Stack them over there," Houston gestured. NasaDude wobbled, grunting as he messily placed them on the meeting table, "Eh, that's good enough."

"What's the big deal?" China furrowed his eyebrows, "You call up the greatest leaders of the world to come here and give no explanation as to why? This better not be another moon situation."

"Or another Earth is heading into the Sun situation," Russia spoke.

"What-?" Mr. Spherical was confused and concerned at the last statement.

"Well, no, not exactly." Houston awkwardly smiled, "But we are in danger of total annihilation and possibly the end of the world."

The speechlessness was loud as everyone at the table took in the words.

China was the first to break the silence, "You're joking, right?"
