After the capital they made their way to the Turf houses in the nearby Arendelle forest at noon. They had decided to set up lunch for the monarch and nobles.

The Queen dismounted her horse first then she went to assist Anna. She offered her hand to the latter. Anna was surprised at the gesture, she looked around only to see the nobles' eyes were on them, so she accepted the Queen's assistance.

The servants laid out purple picnic blankets and canopy above them, to shade them from the sun. On the blanket there was an array of different food such as sandwiches, chocolate dipped strawberries, honeyed figs and apples. The Queen and Anna went to their own picnic blanket, with small square shaped fluffy pillows.

Both of them settled themselves on the picnic blanket and started to eat.

"Thank you for what you did earlier." Anna sincerely stated. "Thank you for not hurting them." also she wanted to know Elsa's intention why she called her princess. Though she knew had to wait.

"I've done nothing for you to thank me for, and what do you think of me? Killer of innocents?" Elsa snapped though her face was neutral. "I'm not your grandfather."

Anna was taken aback and got angry that her sincerity was ignored. She looked around and took a deep breath, if Elsa wanted this way then so be it, she said to herself. She smiled at the latter instead.

"Here." Elsa offered a strawberry coated with chocolate. "Open your mouth." she ordered with a smile. But Anna knew it was fake but she played along and opened her mouth to eat.

"Can you be more graceful?" Elsa said in a hush voice.

"I am graceful." Anna chewed the strawberry then smiled at Elsa.

"Talking with your mouth full, so that's how you define graceful." Elsa jabbed as she reached out to wipe the chocolate from the corner of Anna's lips. "You eat messily too."

Anna did her best not to blush and was annoyed at the jabs the Queen was making, she wanted to shout but instead of lashing out she took Elsa's wrist and placed the latter's chocolate stained finger into her mouth.

The latter wanted to yanked her hand away but Anna gripped a lot tighter. Elsa's glacial eyes were on Anna's teal ones as she licked the chocolate from the latter's finger.

"What do you think you're doing?" Elsa hissed. For the first time Anna smirked.

"What? You don't like it?" Anna released the latter's wrist and smiled.

"How dare you." Elsa growled but a small smile plastered on her face, to keep up appearances. Anna couldn't help but to giggle at the sight.

"What? I am just using your tricks against you, I think that's only fair." Anna smiled brightly, she couldn't help it since the sight of Elsa's face at the moment was too adorable. She found teasing Elsa, while the latter couldn't do anything to retaliate, fun.

She could see Elsa did her best not to glare at her.

Meanwhile, a few meters from them were the nobles who were watching their interaction. All of them were pleased.

The entire luncheon was spent by Anna and Elsa having seemingly sweet interaction with one another in the eyes of the people around them.

"I believe you know that these stunts you are pulling against me will not go unpunished. Once we are back in the castle I will make sure you'll suffer the consequences." Elsa stated after finishing her sandwich.

"Why wait? I am here in front of you. Do it right here, right now." Anna dared because she knew the latter won't act on it. "Here." offered a honeyed slice of apple to Elsa. "Open up." she demanded.

Elsa's nostrils flared in annoyance but she reluctantly took the fruit and ate it, however she took Anna's wrist and proceeded to lick the remaining honey on Anna's finger.

Anna gasped at the contact of Elsa's warm tongue on her finger. Her face was flushed in embarrassment. "Stop it." she hissed.

Elsa chuckled and smirked at her. "You don't like the taste of your own medicine, dear wife?"

"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that?"

"I lost count." Elsa responded and cast her eyes in her surroundings. "They are watching us the entire time. Does it make you uncomfortable?"

"Yes, I can't even shout at you even if I wanted to." Anna admitted.

"Likewise."

They all rested for about an hour, the servants packed everything up. Giving them an opportunity to ride around the woods before proceeding on their route.

"I have never been in this part of Arendelle." Anna said.

"I wonder why." Elsa dryly responded.

"Will you stop being rude for a moment?"

"I can't help it, especially if I am talking to you." Elsa smirked at her.

"You certainly are the most insufferable person I have ever met."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

Once the entire retinue was ready they proceeded to go to the outskirts of the forest. Truth to be told, Elsa didn't know what to expect in this part of her realm, the next town was still leagues away inside the Eastern Lands.

As they rode in the forest road Elsa was silent the entire time, listening to the surroundings. Other than the noises from their retinue and the rustling of leaves from the trees, it was quiet. However, Elsa was having a sinking feeling inside her, warning her not to be complacent.

"Marshall." Elsa called. The General turned his attention to her, their eyes met and nodded. Without a word the General took two guards with him and rode ahead. Elsa could feel questioning eyes from the lady on her left.

Elsa waited as her sharp eyes were watching for any sign intruders, then a familiar whistle reached her ears. She frowned and turned to Eric.

"Wait here and guard Anna. Olaf, come with me."

"Elsa let me come with you." Anna said.

"No Anna! Hiyah!" Elsa urged her horse to gallop towards the location of Marshall, followed by Olaf and a few of the elite Queen's guards dressed in Arendelle's colors.

Marshall's location was not too far from where they were, Elsa gritted her teeth as she saw the ropes around the pole and two unconscious guards being dragged by other guards to the side of the dirt road.

"What happened here?" Elsa asked with a stoic face.

"Two of our guards were ambushed and the tracks of the horses are still fresh in that direction." Marshall pointed to the direction of the shrubbery. "Not professional but still they managed to knock two of the Queen's guards unconscious."

Elsa looked around and saw shadows behind the trees, a lot of them.

"Elsa!" she turned and saw Anna riding towards her, with Eric just right behind her. "What happened?" Anna pulled the reins to a stop.

Ire rose inside Elsa. "Didn't I tell you to stay?" she coldly asked.

"Your Majesty, forg-" Eric was cut off as Elsa raised her hand and listened to her surroundings.

She pulled the reins to turn the horse in the direction of the rustling leaves then on the opposite side where the twig snapping as something stepped on it. "Be on your guard, we're not alone." she warned. "Show yourself!" her horse continued to trot in circles.

"Your Majesty!" General Mattias caught up to them bringing the entire retinue. "We should turn around and find another way to enter the eastern lands."

"It would be a wise decision, Your Majesty." Marshall seconded the notion, however there were unidentified people who went out of the woods.

"You're not going anywhere. Your Majesty." said the man with a mocking tone as he moved towards them, wielding a Queen's guard's sword.

"Who are you?" Her voice was calm but dangerous as her eyes trained to the people behind the man.

"Why should I tell you, another tyrant graced us with her presence. A royal who knows nothing but luxury in life, not caring for your own people?" the man mocked Elsa further.

Her glacial eyes observed the other people, who were wielding make-shift weapons, such as crude wooden spears. Some of them were women and all of them were dressed in shabby clothing. Elsa had encountered forest bandits before but this wasn't what they looked like. She frowned.

"How dare you disrespect Her Majesty like that?!" Marshall drew his sword. While General Mattias was apprehensive at the sight of the people wielding make-shift weapons.

"Tch, a royal dog." The man looked at her. "What are you doing here, outside your fancy castle?"

"I came to hear your concerns." Elsa softly stated as her eyes still wandered around the area.

"We already heard those words before being carted off here in the gods' forsaken place. The last time was an old man, now the same words being uttered by a woman." he sneered at him.

"May I ask for your name sir?" Elsa asked.

"Why would you care?" he brandished his sword towards her.

"Because I want to know the name of the person who attacked my guards."

"Oh those men? They are the men of the new tyrant and of course they are not welcome here. You are not welcome here. I can't believe you tasked your weak men to protect you."

"Why are you doing this?"

"We wanted to have our vengeance to the monarchy who did nothing but make us suffer!" a middle aged woman answered from the crowd.

The people agreed with her.

Elsa looked at them, and tried to de-escalate the tension.

"I will hear your concerns and this time I will do my best to solve them."

The man was about to answer when then his eyes were suddenly filled with rage as his eyes landed on the person beside her. The man looked at the strawberry blonde woman with recognition.

"You! The blood of Eldr is here! The blood of the tyrant is here!" The man pointed his sword to Anna and had rallied the people towards her.

Anna's heart was filled with rage as she realized how much lies her grandfather told her. The kingdom flourished under his rule that's what she knew but these people were carted off here to hide them from her. Her grandfather hid so many awful truths from her now she was about to suffer the consequences.

"I'm sorry." she hoarsely responded. "I'm sorry for what my grandfather had done." she bowed her head.

"Lies!" a woman shouted then they started to throw dirt in Anna's direction, staining her dress and hair. The other people followed suit.

"STOP IT!" the Queen bellowed and drew her sword as she maneuvered herself in front of her, shielding her from everything. The Queen's pristine military uniform was smeared with dirt. "I AM QUEEN ELSA OF HOUSE VINTER. I COMMAND YOU TO STOP!" she once again shouted. Her guards drew their swords to attack the people. "NO! STAY BACK! DON'T HURT ANYONE!" the Queen hastily ordered.

After stating the Queen's house name the people halted and murmured within their group.

"House Vinter? You are lying! The legitimate line of Vinter was long extinct!" said the sword wielding man.

"So the rumors are true. One of the Vinter children survived." said the old man in the group. "She looks like Princess Ingrid in her youth." said the old man.

"Mr. Olsen, you believe what she said?" a woman asked.

"She has an uncanny resemblance to Princess Ingrid of House Aren, she later became Queen of Corona, and seeing this woman here as if the Princess herself had come to grace us with her presence."

"My mother, Iduna, Duchess of Vinter was the daughter of Queen Ingrid of Corona." She heard Elsa say those words with a proud tone, a tone she herself wouldn't be able to have because of her disgraced house. "I am here to correct the mistake of a man who named himself King." the Queen continued.

"How can we trust you when you protect his granddaughter!" the man said.

"Because she had no hand on whatever her grandfather did. She wasn't aware of your situation, she was imprisoned in the place she called home. She was a victim of her own family name." Elsa explained in elegance despite the current state of her clothing. "I want to know what happened and I am willing to help you out."

"Phillip, put away your sword," said Mr. Olsen.

The man reluctantly did what the man asked him to do. "But grandfather-"

"I said put it away."

Phillip did what his grandfather told him. The old man knelt on the dirt. "Queen Elsa, I humbly seek your forgiveness for what my people had done to you and Princess Anna, punish me instead of them."

Anna watched Elsa dismount and helped the old man to get on his feet. "There's nothing to forgive. You were afraid and I understand that. Please, I want to know how I can help you all. Well after changing into something more presentable."

"There's a lake nearby, Her Majesty can refresh herself there. My utmost apology for standing by and doing nothing to stop them."

"As I've said, it's alright. General Mattias, please tell others we will camp here tonight."

"Of course your Majesty."

"Aurora, my dear, please lead Her Majesty and Her Highness to the lake."

"Of course, grandfather." a beautiful golden blonde lady with purple eyes approached them. "Your Majesty and Your Highness." She addressed the Queen and her, who was still on her horse and kept silent with tears brimming her eyes. "If you would follow me."

Both found themselves submerged in the cool water of the lake within the forest, their personal guards were making their rounds a few meters away from the lake to give them privacy. They washed away the dirt and the awful smell of the dirt from their skin and hair. Both were back facing each other to keep them from seeing each other naked.

Anna was having mixed emotions inside her. She was sad and angry the way she was treated because of her family name and being used to everyone's advantage. She was tired of being blamed on something she didn't do. She couldn't help but to cry.

"It's not your fault." Anna heard Elsa say. "Don't feel bad about it."

"Stop it!" Anna shouted. "What was that? You defended me as if you cared for me! This was the reason why you brought me with you in this royal progress, wasn't it?" she accused.

There was silence, making Anna face Elsa by turning. She looked into those cold glacial eyes.

"Since the beginning you have lumped me with the people who wronged your family and now you defend me in front of them, because it suits to your advantage. They would see a benevolent ruler defending the family of her enemy." Anna's voice shook in anger as she glared at Elsa. "The reason why I was spared was because of this advantage, wasn't it? And it would continue until I had no more use for you, you even let them address me as princess, the rank you stripped me of."

"Not quite." Elsa offhandedly responded.

Anna was about to say something when Elsa spoke again.

"If I correct them about it, how should they address you? It would cause more problems for both of us if I did. Those people would surely mock you even more and the nobles who are here with us would not be pleased for publicly humiliating you when they believe we're enamored with each other, which would lead them raising their suspicions regarding the true nature of our relationship. If they stuck their noses on subjects that didn't warrant their intervention and found out your false pregnancy and our agreement would mean finding out your treason."

"Let them find out then." Anna challenged me. "I would be pleased with whatever punishment they would give."

"Is that so?" Elsa moved closer and looked down on Anna. She ran her under Anna's chin and lifted it. "Then you don't mind being beheaded by me?"

Anna's glare didn't waver. "Again. A threat of death for me. You always say that to get to me, you need to come up with something new." she slapped Elsa's hand away.

A smirk found its way on Elsa's lips. "Good. That's what I want to hear from you. You are braver than I thought." she lifted her hand to caress Anna's strawberry blonde tresses. "I did lump you with the people who wronged my family." she felt Anna moved away from her reach. Elsa composed herself at the perplexed face of Anna. "Because that's what I should do regardless of what you did, but I know that wasn't supposed to be."

"Then why?"

"Let's just say I have to keep appearances because I have a reputation to uphold."

"Yes. The ruthless and tyrannical behavior." Anna responded with lace of venom in each word.

Only a hum was heard from the Queen.

Anna knew there was something going on in Elsa's mind but she has no idea what it was. She couldn't help but to feel wary. Elsa has been acting differently, she couldn't understand her at all. The confusing behavior of this person in front of her would drive her mad if not confronted soon.

"That begs the question, why did you do all that if you only care about your reputation? Marrying me, saving me a couple of times, and acting as if you are my lover? And please don't tell me what other people want and do not tell me it's for the sake of the people. I want to know your personal reason. Why are you helping and keeping me alive? Tell me! I'm so confused!" Anna's voice cracked, she was tired of being played. She looked down.

Sound of water was heard and a hand was placed on Anna's bare shoulder. "Look at me."

Anna lifted her head to see Elsa's pained expression.

"Why Elsa?" Anna's tearful eyes were beseeching for an answer.

"Because I saw a part of me in you. I was once like you." Elsa retracted her hand. "Alone after losing someone precious. I hated it whenever I see you cry because you reminded me of how I was before, though mostly I was the reason behind those tears. That's why I can't find myself going along with you, because you reminded me how weak and pathetic I was." Elsa sighed.

Anna's eyes widened at Elsa's admission.

"I hated it whenever the fire in you vanished, that's why I kept on riling you up to fight me, to ignite the fire in you, to make you strong enough so you can stand your ground and defend yourself, because I want you to be strong. And at same time I wanted you to hate me so I can continue to distance myself from you. However instead of hating me you tried to reach out to me and make me feel these. . . unknown feelings."

Anna only listened to Elsa's words, she didn't dare to interrupt.

"They make me uncomfortable. You make me uncomfortable. I couldn't help but to feel alarmed whenever you are around. Your presence makes me feel these unwanted feelings. I want you gone for these feelings to vanish, I really do but I couldn't do anything as you know it" Elsa reached out to touch Anna's hair again.

Anna's heart was making a cartwheel inside her chest at the gestures Elsa was making. She didn't move away this time.

"And about our marriage, I had no desire to get married at all. All I wanted was to take my birthright, rule the kingdom until I breathe my last breath and pass the crown to another suitable candidate." Elsa paused.

Anna's heart skipped a beat. She was next in line after Elsa, would that mean Elsa would give her the throne after her?

"My cousin, Rapunzel. . . " Elsa started, making Anna filled with disappointment. ". . became eligible when King Olav rectified a few clauses on the Succession Act, enabling female family members to inherit the throne by right if there were no living male heirs and they should come to our generation. He named my father as his heir using the old clauses of the Act, and the heirs or heiress of the heir apparent were only the ones who could inherit after the rectification, barring my grandmother, my mother and my uncle to inherit the throne despite being the immediate family of the late King. Now it has been rectified, it gave a way for my cousin to be my heir presumptive." she sighed. "That's what I planned until you were introduced to me. I can't give you a good personal reason why I married you, because all I can say is; it is what should be done, regardless of my feelings. And for being your lover in their eyes was something I have to endure for both of us to survive this. "

Anna stared into Elsa's eyes.

"I thought you had come to care for me, even just for a bit." Anna mumbled as she looked away. She remembered how Elsa encouraged her and taught her things her grandfather failed to do to survive, then she vividly remembered those pair of uncaring eyes whenever they were alone. She shouldn't feel like this, she said so herself they were better off like this. Anna was hurt- a different kind of hurt.

"Anna, I know I caused you more grief than good and hearing these words from someone like me would be hard to believe. For a few times I purposely insulted you so I could see what you would do, whether you'll back down or learn from it. I noticed how you've been using my tricks against me. Which was good, that only meant you're learning." Elsa gave Anna a sad look. "Since you acknowledged your grandfather's deeds, my hate towards you slowly dissipated and it scared me. For the first time I don't even know what I'm facing."

Elsa moved away. "I don't even know why am I telling you all these things that could be used against me." she chuckled humorlessly.

Anna took this opportunity to tell Elsa how she felt. "I won't use them against you. I think I judged you hastily and I didn't give myself a chance to get to know you and refused to do so despite the encouragement from other people. I was so driven by my anger and hate, but now I know the truth. I understood why you had to do it. If only I knew from the start that it was Runeard's fault, I shouldn't have said those awful things to you." she paused and visibly gulped. "What I'm trying to say is, I am deeply sor-"

"No!" She was cut off by Elsa.

Anna blinked a few times.

Elsa on the other hand was utterly surprised by the almost apology she was about to receive from Anna, it felt wrong so she stopped her.

"But Elsa I want to, even if I won't bring back the lost lives of people who are dear to you. I am not expecting you to accept it but I-"

"Anna stop." Elsa said, making Anna look up. "Never apologize for something you didn't do. If there's someone who should apologize, it's me. I've done a lot of things, unspeakable things against you." she had this pained expression. "I lost count on how many times I hurt you by words, by actions and by the situation we are in. It's hard to be around each other since all we did was hurt one another. I once told you that if it weren't for your bloodline, I would find in my heart to care for you. I didn't. . . at first, but I knew something was wrong with me and I couldn't help but to feel scared, because gradually I've found myself caring for you-r safety. I know it's ridiculous and confusing because I don't think I ever showed it to you other than locking you up in our shared room" Elsa admitted. "We have enemies inside the castle Anna, I'll be the least of your worries if these unseen enemies reach you. That's why I was so insistent on us sharing a bedchamber. I don't trust anyone when it comes to your safety other than Eric and Wendy."

Anna was left speechless.

There was silence between them.

"Your Majesty!" Marshall called.

Out of instinct Elsa pulled Anna close to her and turned her back in the direction of the voice, protecting Anna's modesty.

"What is it?!" she shouted.

"Yours and M'lady's clothes are ready and we will make sure not to let anyone get close here!" Marshall shouted back.

"You go first." Elsa let Anna go and turned her back on her.

She sighed and looked at the disturbed water.

Arendelle Castle

King Frederic was in the castle library, discussing state of affairs with Kai, while Rapunzel was standing by the door leading to the training grounds. For the entire morning she was staring at the man who she wanted to talk to but she hesitated to do so since she wasn't ready. She doesn't want to see eyes full of pity gazing on her. She was the Crown Princess of Corona, she was strong, cunning and manipulative if she wanted to.

Even if she would tell Flynn what happened, that wouldn't guarantee they could be together since her status as princess was a hindrance, her cousin reminded her that. She once had the support of her cousin but now she lost it due to her own carelessness. She shouldn't have approached Flynn if she knew it would lead them to lose the only person who supported their relationship, the only person who could help her if needed.

"Your Highness."

Rapunzel turned and saw Baron Larsen.

"M'lord. What do I owe the pleasure?"

"I was hoping to see the Queen today."

"May I ask for what purpose? Haven't you heard about the progress?" Rapunzel was skeptical of him.

"Ah, how could I forget, silly me." the lord awkwardly chuckled. "It was rather confidential."

"Her Majesty has left me and my father in-charge of the state affairs while she's on royal progress." Rapunzel asserted her authority. "If you would tell me, I would relay it to her directly." she smiled at him.

Her last statement must've enticed the Lord since he let out an excited smile.

"Well, my servants were complaining about their wages to me but I have no money to give to them since most of my family wealth was used for the war." he explained.

Rapunzel almost raised her eyebrow at the implication. "And you are here to borrow some money from the Queen?"

Baron Larsen chuckled sheepishly. "Yes, actually."

Rapunzel smiled at him. "I'll tell Her Majesty that your concern is urgent and I'll address it to her when comes back."

"Oh thank you, Your Highness."

"I'm happy that I am able to help you. Anything else?"

"No, that is all Your Highness." Baron Larsen bowed and made his exit.

Rapunzel watched him walk away. "Vlad, please have some dreamers keep their eyes on him, also to the others." her enormous personal guard bowed and disappeared. "It seems the mice are out to play." she smirked.

The Queen emerged from the thick forest fully clothed. She wore her other dark blue military uniform without the gold embroidery, paired with black breeches and knee high black boots, then a black sash around her waist. She just finished braiding her hair into a single plait and the crown was put away in its box. She saw Anna sitting in a low stool while Wendy styled her hair in another double braid before securing it with the aquamarine hair pin. This time Anna wore an Arendelle green dress and black bodice with rosemaling motif revealing her bare shoulders if it weren't from the Arendelle green jacket with black sleeves that had military styled epaulet and four decorative buttons on each side at the front. She also wore a sash filled with rosemaling embroidery around her waist. Then a pair of calf high black boots with a rosemaling motif.

Elsa cleared her throat , earning the attention of the two.

"Are you ready?" Elsa asked.

"Almost." Anna responded as Wendy clasped the aquamarine necklace then she sprayed sweet perfume on her. "All good." she rose and went closer to Elsa.

Elsa offered her arm around to Anna, which the latter accepted.

"Can we continue our conversation later?" Anna asked.

Elsa looked at her. "Of course."

Anna smiled at her answer.

Both of them reached the canopy where she would meet the village leader. She ushered Anna to one of the chairs before sitting next to her. The council men were sitting behind them in a long bench while their personal guards stayed close.

Across them was Mr. Olsen, his grandchildren, Phillip and Aurora, then the other townsfolk behind them. The only thing that separated them was the oak table provided by the villagers.

"Your Majesty, Your Highness." Mr. Olsen bowed again to them.

"Mister Olsen. Mister Phillip and Miss Aurora." Elsa acknowledged them.

Elsa took a short glance at Anna and saw her face staring at the woman in front of them, by the look on her face it was like Anna had seen the blonde lady before.

"I apologize for how we behaved and how we disrespected the royal noble House of Vinter."

"All is forgiven." she smiled, "You, Mister Olsen, spoke of my house with such familiarity."

Mister Olsen nodded. "I once lived in the capital under the reign of King Olav. I was a farmer just outside the city, our guild almost suffered a great loss because of the blight in our harvest, almost all of our crops were affected. Your grandfather, Duke Ingvalt still bought the infected crops with their full price, and bought the remaining good crops but he didn't take them, he gave it to those who's in need instead." he recounted the events of what happened years ago.

Elsa was quite surprised with the grandfather she never met. "I didn't know."

Mister Olsen smiled at her. "When you told us you are a child of Vinter and how you ordered the guards not to attack us. I knew then you are telling the truth. The Vinters are known for their good deeds to their people but they refused to take credit." his gaze then landed on Anna. "I sincerely apologize for the judgment Her Highness had received. Our people never did like your grandfather when he became King. Most of us living here were born and raised in the capital. Now some of the younger generation here never set foot to the place where their grandparents and parents were born."

"I understand." Anna responded. "I know nothing of your situation if only I knew I would do something to help."

"Thank you, Your Highness." Mr. Olsen turned to his grandchildren. They took this hint to talk.

"Your Majesty, Your Highness. I deeply apologize for how I spoke towards you and for attacking your guards."

"You took them on your own?" Elsa asked in interest.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Phillip's head was down in shame. "My utmost apology."

Elsa could see potential in this man, little did he know those two guards weren't just Arendelle soldiers, they were part of her own elite Queen's guards dressed in Arendelle colors. Most of the men with them were part of the elite team she formed under her command and Marshall's.

"I would like to make you part of my guards." Elsa declared.

Philip whipped his head up and looked at the Queen in shock.

"Y-Your Majesty, I know nothing about being a knight."

"That's what training is for. You will be provided a house in the capital with your grandfather and your sister." Elsa smiled.

"Oh she's not my sister." Phillip bashfully stated. "Uhm she's my wife."

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't know."

"It's alright Your Majesty. She's Aurora, daughter of Viscount Stephan of House-"

"Costa." Anna finished. "No wonder you looked familiar. House Costa are often guests in the castle."

"Yes." Aurora sadly responded. "I was a daughter of House Costa but not anymore, however I am happy."

Anna could only nod. She smiled at them.

"Now, let's talk about the needs of the people here." Elsa stated.

Mister Olsen told Elsa their lack of tools and funds to start cultivating the land properly and domesticating farm animals, most of them didn't want to return to the capital since they already had a life in their small village, no matter how hard it was. They wanted to develop the land and hoped to have started a trade with the other villages and towns. They only relied on fishing near the border of the eastern lands where they weren't allowed to go in.

Elsa told Mister Olsen of Master Merlin's people, who were also brought in the middle of nowhere and came back to the capital and they were given jobs to sustain themselves.

"But if you prefer to stay then I will do my best to provide the things you need. For the meantime please accept these gifts." Elsa gestured to the servants to give a quarter of their food supplies for the people, also a decent size wooden coffer full of gold. "Purchase farm animals using this gold I'll give you and help distribute them to those in need. I'll send a letter to the capital about your other concerns and have all the things you needed prepared." Elsa looked at the delight of the villagers.

"Thank you, Your Majesty. Thank you, Your Highness."

Elsa and Anna rose from their seats only to see the villagers kneeling in front of them.

"LONG LIVE QUEEN ELSA! LONG LIVE PRINCESS ANNA!" the villagers continued to chant.

Elsa and Anna were deeply touched. For Anna she almost wept because of the overwhelming feeling in her chest. She never felt like this before. It felt like for the first time in her life she did something good.

"If Her Majesty accepts, we would like to invite you for a small feast and to make our people know that the true and rightful ruler has returned.

"Of course, I will be delighted." Elsa smiled.
