Chapter Twenty-Eight
Baby One, Baby Two

An hour later, Casey Home:
Matt was ecstatic, that's the only way to describe how the husband was feeling right now; the feeling that came with getting a new title that he's going to hold until May. That title? Pending father. It's a title that Matt's wanted his entire life. And now, he has it as Gabby is currently pregnant with not just one of his (future) children, but two of his future children. Yes, you heard that right. This May, Matt and Gabby will become parents to two beautiful children. It truly is a dream come true, and it was exactly what he wanted to hear. It's what the both of them have wanted to hear, as they have always wanted a big family. And now, that's exactly what's happening as Gabby is currently 6 weeks pregnant with their twins. And now, after having a quick round of McDonalds (their last fast-food meal for a while); Matt was ready to take his wife to bed so that they could celebrate the fact that they were going to become parents next year. But first, he has to find his wife.

He just went into the bedroom this afternoon, only to find that their bed was empty. She should be there, clad in some sexy lingerie which he was going to run his hands all over as a way to tease her. He was going to hold her in his arms, and they were going to celebrate the fact that they're having twins this year. But now, he has no idea where she is; and they need to find out where that is. So, he decided to call out for her. "Gabby?" Hearing her husband call out for her, Gabby spoke up. "Oh, office babe." Matt then proceeded to walk into their office, clad in nothing but his boxers as he was going to tease his wife; that being due to the fact that she was already wearing lingerie for him. But what he didn't understand was, why she was in the office rather than in bed. In their comfortable bed, where he was going to make love to her; that's where she should be right now after all, in their bed where he can take it easy with her. "Hey, why are you in here babe?"

Looking up at her husband, Gabby took a breath as she had a long on her mind. Sensing that, Matt made his way over to her. "Hey, you okay?" Gabby took a breath as he asked her that, turning to look at the designs that she made for some homes that she wanted to build with Matt; homes that she wanted to work on with him rather than have him build them alone. She was actually going to do hands on work. But now, she wasn't going to be able to do what she wanted to do in the first place; and that was help the people of Puerto Rico. She felt selfish, selfish that she wanted to have a child with the man she loves, when Puerto Rico is still in need of so much help. So, the emotions were high at the moment; add in the hormones, and it isn't the best. "Oh, you found some of the designs." Gabby took a breath when she heard Matt say that. "Designs that I'm not going to be able to oversee. Is it wrong that I feel sad, even though that this is the life we want?"

Matt could hear the sadness in her voice, the sadness that she's not going to be able to help oversee some of the projects that she's been tasked with overseeing in her new role; and that's all due to the fact that she's currently pregnant with their children. God, children; now that certainly is a dream come true for the husband and wife. Never in a million years did they ever believe that they would be having twins. I mean, they had those dreams that they would have twins in the future, but they never believed that they would actually come true. But here they are, coming true as we speak. Gabby is currently pregnant with their twins. "I had this dream just last night of being pregnant with twins, yet I still thought it was a while away. But now, it's here; and I can't help but have a bunch of mixed feelings about it." Matt agreed with his wife when she told him that, proceeding to kiss her forehead softly. He just knew that this was hard on her, and not what she needs.

He wants to make her feel better, but he just doesn't know how he can do that. All he knows is that he needs her to lay down right now. Gabby needs to rest and take it easy. That's something that they both know she has to do. Yet, she's still standing here instead of laying down in bed. Then again, he does need to let her do whatever she needs to do so that she can feel better. "You want to talk about it as we lay down in bed?" Gabby took a breath when Matt asked her that. "Is it wrong that I want to talk to you about it?" Grabbing his wife's hand, Matt intertwined their fingers and smiled at her. "Hey, of course not Gabby. If you feel like you need to talk to me about anything, then you can talk to me about anything. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. She then put her hands on his chest as they got close to one another.

Putting his hands on her hips as they got nice and close to each other, Matt smirked due to the fact that the woman he loves is so damn sexy. He then bent down and proceeded to kiss Gabby softly, taking things nice and slow with her in the process. God, just the feeling of her lips on his is everything that he's ever wanted. He wants to take things slow with his wife, because that's just something that he wants for her. He wants her to feel happy, and she does so far; and that's everything that he needs to know. But right now, he doesn't just want her to be happy; her wants her to be in bed with him. So, he's decided to do something that will make sure that she gets there even faster. Proceeding to pick Gabby up in his arms, he set her down on the desk and just smirked as he wife. Looking up at her loving husband as he did that, Gabby smirked as she put her hands on his muscular chest this afternoon; the chest that is both sexy, and extremely cozy.

Looking at his beautiful wife, Matt smirked as he stroked her cheek and stared into her eyes. "How are you feeling right now. Do you need anything?" Gabby smiled when her husband asked her whether she needs anything, well aware of the fact that he's already concerned for her. And while the concern is sweet, she's fine right now; after all, she isn't that far along yet. "Baby, you can take a breath and just relax okay? I'm not that far along yet." Matt laughed when he heard Gabby tell him that, already well aware that he doesn't need to worry that much yet. However, that doesn't mean that he won't. I mean, she's his pregnant wife; and that means that he's always going to worry about her. Just stepping extra close to the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world, Matt smirked due to the fact that she is so damn sexy. And even better, she's the woman he loves. Moving his hands to her face, Matt smirked as he proceeded to kiss her softly.

Taking things nice and slow with Gabby, Matt smirked due to the fact that she's perfect. And even better, she's his wife; she's the love of his life, and she's the pending mother of his children. God, children; as in twins. "How are you feeling about the fact that we're having twins?" Gabby smirked when Matt asked her that. Moving her hand to the back of his head, Gabby smiled as she leaned up and kissed him softly. Just taking things nice and slow with her loving husband, Gabby smirked due to the fact that he is a very handsome man. God, he is just so damn sexy; and she loves him more than anything in the entire world. "I hope you already know that I want you in bed." Matt smirked when he heard Gabby say that. "Oh, do you now?" Gabby laughed and smiled at her loving husband, knowing that he's already joking with her. "I want to tell you about the dream that I had last night, and how this is actually something that's related to it."

Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Then how about this; let's go to bed, and then you can do just that? Baby, I want to cuddle up to you. Then, we can talk. Right now, I want to take you to bed and just hold you in my arms as we celebrate the fact that I'm finally going to be a dad thanks to you baby." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smirking as he got close to her. She then watched as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "I hope you know that I am so glad that we're pregnant, that I have you as the love of my life, the future mother of my children; and the best wife in the entire world." Gabby sighed. "Maybe not the best wife, because a wife doesn't run away." Matt sighed when he heard Gabby say that, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Hey, don't even start with that. We aren't thinking about that because you were not the only who got you to run away, that was my fault baby." Gabby agreed with her husband.

"And we're not looking back okay? We're having a baby." Gabby smiled when Matt said that. "Twins actually." Matt smirked when he heard Gabby say that, stepping close to her as she continued to sit on the desk in their office. "I stand corrected. Putting his hands on her face, Matt bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman of his dreams. Just taking things nice and slow with Gabby, he smirked due to the fact that he really loves his wife more than anything in the entire world. But another reason he's smiling? It's due to the fact that he's finally going to be a dad. "I'm finally going to be a dad." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that smirking due to the fact that it's the truth. She's going to be making her living husband a father; which is something that he's deserved to be for the longest time. "What do you say we go lay down in bed together?" Matt then got worried. "Are you tired? Are you okay?" Gabby laughed as she looked at her loving husband.

"Baby, take a breath and relax okay? I'm not at the point in my pregnancy where you have to ask me that question every couple couples. I just want to cuddle up to my man and just try and wrap my head around the fact that this is real." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling as he put his hands on her face once again. "Oh, trust me when I say this Gabby; this is very real, and you are pregnant with our twins." Gabby smirked. "Matteo and Sofia." Matt was shocked when he heard Gabby say that. "You already gave them names?" Gabby sighed. "Bed, then I explain." Matt agreed, helping his beautiful wife off of their desk so that he can take her back to their bed; where they will celebrate a bit.

Matt's POV:
As I laid down in bed this afternoon, I could help but smile as I was currently holding my gorgeous wife and our future children in my arms. God, this is a dream come true; and there is nowhere else I would rather be right now. I want to be here, with my wife as she and our future children cuddle up to me in bed. The best part? The fact that Gabby decided to take off her shirt so that she was just wearing her little underwear right now. And it was perfect, along with being extremely comfortable. God, this is exactly what I want in life; and I am so glad that I have Gabby here with me right now. I just want to hold her right now, and I don't want to let her go as we celebrate the fact that she's pregnant with our children. Turning my head, I kissed her forehead softly when I remembered the names that she mentioned. So, just like Gabby did; I decided to mention them out of the blue so that I could bring up the topic of conversation. "Matteo and Sofia Casey."

Gabby agreed with me when I said that. "Yeah, that was a good way to bring up the conversation." I just laughed when she said that. "Oh, that was a nice way to bring up the conversation. Or was it the most awkward way for me to bring up the topic of conversation?" Gabby looked up at me when I asked her that, smiling at me. Wrapping my arm around her back, I smirked as I bent down and kissed the woman of my dreams. "I love you." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that I love her. "I love you too, and I am so glad that we're finally pregnant. We've wanted this for so long, and it's finally happening." I agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling as I ran my hand up and down her back. "Thanks for taking off your shirt, I really like cuddling up to you like this when we're in bed." Gabby agreed with me, smiling as she laid her head down on my chest some more. "Oh trust me, I already knew that you were dead set on having me lay down on your chest like this."

I agreed with Gabby when she told me that, smirking as I turned my head and kissed her forehead softly. "Got that right. Sorry baby, but this is the only way that you're allowed to lay down on my chest for the rest of your pregnancy." Gabby laughed when I said that, smiling as she nuzzled her head into the crook of my neck. "I don't know if I will ever complain about that. I mean, I am very comfortable in your arms." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that, smirking as I turned my head and kissed her forehead softly. "So, let's start with the names that you're thinking about. Let's start with the first one. Matteo?" Gabby laughed when I asked her that. "Yeah, after you of course." I agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Yeah, that makes sense. And the truth is, I really like the name. I mean, I haven't ever really thought about me having a namesake. But, I am going to have one I guess." Gabby agreed with me, smiling as I was really happy about that.

"And then the middle name, we were thinking Andres?" I looked down at Gabby when she said that, not letting her change the name. "It's either Andrew, or you're giving me another son; and we're using Andrew as a first name." I then proceeded to kiss her forehead softly. "If Andrew is his middle name, it's going to stay Andrew; and it's not being Hispanicized." Gabby laughed a bit when I mentioned that Andy's name is not going to be Hispanicized. "I mean it Gabby, you're already Hispanicizing my name; but I refuse to let you do it to Andy's name when I am using his name as a way to honor the man that I would've wanted to have as my son's godfather." Wrapping my arm around Gabby, I proceeded to rub her arm. Meanwhile, Gabby took a breath as she pushed herself up off my chest. "Baby, are you okay? You seem to be getting a bit emotional over the fact that Andy isn't here recently." I took a breath when Gabby asked me that, nodding as I was.

"Yeah, I am getting a bit emotional; and it's due to that exact reason. I have always wanted to raise my kids with him and Severide. So, I think being here will actually help me." Gabby seemed confused when I said that. "What do you mean baby?" I sighed when Gabby asked me that. "If I was in Chicago, I would see all the things that Andy got a chance to do with his boys; and rather than concentrating on making memories with the kids, I think I would concentrate on the fact that Andy isn't there to see me raise my kids. Does that make sense?" Gabby agreed with me when I asked her if what he I saying made sense. And the truth was, it did make sense. It made sense to her because she knew what I was talking about. "Hey, I completely understand that baby; because I know exactly how you feel. I went all over that city with Shay. I'd just see her everywhere we go with the kids if we ended up raising them there." I agreed with my beautiful wife when she told me that.

"I mean sure, would I like to have the firehouse around the kids? Of course, I want the kids to know their honorary aunts and uncles. But I think that this is the right place for us to raise them, as it means that we can do it while having a bunch of fun with each other." Gabby agreed with me when I said that, smirking as she leaned over me and kissed me softly. She then bent down and took things nice and slow with my. "God, I love you so much, and I am so proud of the man that you've become. I hope you know that baby." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that, proceeding to put my hand on her neck. Afterwards, I smirked due to the fact that the woman I love more than anything in the entire world is very sexy. "God, I love you so much; and I am so glad that we're having a baby." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that, smirking at me.

She then bent down and proceeded to kiss me softly, until we were disturbed by my phone ringing. Recognizing the ringtone, I laughed because it was Severide. "He's calling to congratulate us." Gabby looked at me when I said that. "You told him?" I bit my lip when she asked me that. "Uhm..." Gabby just looked at me. "He's on shift idiot! My mom goes to Molly's sometimes! Herrmann's going to find out, and then...god, I need to call my mom after." I agreed with Gabby. "And we will, but are we going to answer this call right now?" Gabby sighed. "Yes, because if not...Stella's going to call me." I agreed with Gabby when she said that, answering the call before proceeding to put it on speakerphone. "Hello?"

Severide then yelled. "WHAT'S THIS ABOUT YOU BEING 6 WEEKS PREGNANT WITH TWINS! HOW? YOU HAVEN'T BEEN GONE THAT LONG!"
