Chapter Thirty-Nine

Gabby smiled as she found herself lying down in bed close to the man of her dreams, just holding him close to her as they both took it easy with each other this morning. Hey, they weren't even sharing a kiss with each other; but it still felt perfect as him holding her in his arms was all the wife wanted today. She wanted the man of her dreams to hold her close to his chest as they cuddled up to each other. And for Matt to be doing exactly what she wants him to do, without her having to ask him to do it, makes her smile even more; as it makes her realize just what she was going to be giving up had she gone through with divorcing Matt. But that was not what's happening now. Rather, she was here with him; and they were starting a life together in Puerto Rico. A perfect life that was going to include the children they have always dreamed of having with each other very soon. And let's just say that Gabby was ready for that to happen. She's ready to be a mom more than anybody in the entire world, in her opinion at least. And that's the only opinion that matters to her.

Well, not the only opinion that matters to her. Before this whole ordeal, she used to push Matt's opinions and concerns aside more often than she should have. But now, she actually listens to the man of her dreams; and he's very proud that she does that. She can just see it in the way he smiles at her, the way he's smiling at her right now. There's just this way that he smiles at her that makes her feel like the most special woman in his life, and that's how she loves to feel whenever they're alone; heck, it's how Matt wants to make her feel. And that's exactly what he's in the midst of doing right now, as he held her right against his chest; and that truly was the best feeling in the entire world, especially when she's (1) wearing sexy lingerie like she's wearing right now, and (2) she's slipping her legs in between his like she would when they're making love to each other. And sure, the lingerie is tight; but it still reveals the top part of her back, which is something that he likes about the lingerie that she wears for him most of the time. He likes it when it reveals her back so that he can stroke it.

There's just something about him being able to stroke her back, his wife's back, that makes him happy. It makes him smile, and that's really all he wants to do when he and Gabby are in bed with each other; well either that, or he wants to be making love to her. But today, they're not making love to each other. Rather, they're just taking it easy. And Matt can only think of one reason why they aren't talking yet. It's due to the fact that she's still waking up. Well, he has a way to wake her up; and Gabby's going to love it. Moving his hand to Gabby's back, Matt tugged her right against his chest and smirked at the woman he loves more than anything. Looking at Matt after he did that, Gabby smiled as she put her hands on Matt's back and stared into his eyes. "I have to say, that was a real turn on Mr. Casey." Matt agreed with Gabby when she told him that, putting his hand on her hip. "Oh, was it now Ms. Casey?" Gabby smiled when Matt used her marital last name, the last name that she's stared to go by all the time now; even the charity has agreed to call her Gabriela Casey instead of Dawson.

"You're happy that I'm finally using that last name, aren't you Matt?" Matt nodded as he ran his finger up and down Gabby's back. "Yeah, I do. It really has made a difference in my opinion." Gabby agreed with her loving husband when he told her that, moving her hand to his arm. "You want to know what else has made a world of difference?" Matt nodded when Gabby asked him whether he wants to know what else has made a difference. "What else has made a difference baby?" Gabby smiled at the man of her dreams when he asked her that. "My loving husband being here with me in Puerto Rico. I know that you wanted to be in Chicago, but…" Matt shook his head before putting his hand on her neck. Bending down, he proceeded to kiss the woman of his dreams softly. "Hey, that's not the truth. I want to be with you today, tomorrow and for the rest of our life. And that's the case even more now than ever. Last time I checked, I'm going to be a dad. And that's why I'm here with you, because this is where my daughters are going to be born." Gabby smiled.

"How are you so sure that we're going to have daughters?" Matt shrugged when Gabby asked him how he's so sure that they're going to have daughters. "Something in my heart just tells me that we're going to have daughters. I can't explain why that's the case, but I just know that's the case." Gabby agreed with her loving husband when he told her that, smirking as she put her hand on his chest. Afterwards, Gabby proceeded to lean up and kissed her man softly. Just taking things nice and slow with Matt, Gabby smiled due to the fact that this is exactly what she wants to be doing with her loving husband. "And you're enjoying our life here, right baby?" Matt nodded. "Hey, don't even go there and question whether I'm changing my mind about this Gabby. I love our life here, and that's just a fact that you can know for a fact." Gabby agreed with Matt.

Taking a breath, Matt looked at Gabby while pushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you." Gabby shook her head when she heard Matt say that. "I know that you didn't mean to snap at me baby, I know you didn't. There are just times where we push each other's buttons…and it happens." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling as he's glad that she understands. "I promise that it won't happen again. I'll take a breath and just take I teasy with you." Gabby looked at her man when he said that, before just knowing somehow that he's going to make sure that he takes it easy and just relax. I mean, of course he's going to take it easy and relax. She just knows him too well to not believe the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. And that's why she just wants him to relax and take it easy. "Baby, just take a breath. I know you, and I know that you won't do that." Matt smirked, agreeing with his girl. He then moved his hand to her neck, bending down to kiss her softly. "So, what are you thinking about right now." Matt smiled.

"How fine my girl looks in this lingerie that she's wearing for me." Gabby laughed when she heard Matt tell her that, moving to wrap her arms around his neck. Afterwards, she made sure to get extremely close to the man of her dreams as it meant that she was going to be able to cuddle up to him in a way that's really attractive. She then proceeded to slip her legs in between his as a way to make sure that they just hold each other close, which is definitely something that they both want to be doing right now. They just want to hold each other close, as they relax together in bed. I mean, what's better than the feeling of the two of them holding each other in close. Well, I can tell you one thing; that's making love to each other in bed, but that's not something that they're going to do today…and it's the exact reason that Gabby's wearing this sexy lingerie that she has on her body right now. It's to make sure that they don't have sex with each other. If she wears this, then Matt will relax with her when it comes to the urges her has to get her undressed and have sex with her (as fun as it is).

"Do you want me to wear a t-shirt? I know that you're worried that I'm going to take off your lingerie and try and take you in my arms." Gabby shook her head when Matt asked her whether she wants him to wear a t-shirt. "No, I'm good baby. I just want to make sure that we both keep each other in check. I know that you're not going to do it, because you're going to get in trouble with me if you even try and have sex with me." Matt laughed when he heard Gabby say that, well aware of that fact. "Oh trust me, I know that I'm doing to be in trouble with you if I try. Plus, I know that you need to rest for the sake of our kids. How are you feeling anyways? Are the babies calm in there?" Gabby smiled when Matt asked her whether the kids were calm in her stomach right now. "Yeah, they are calm. And that's thanks to you." Moving his hand to Gabby's back as they both held each other close, Matt was confused as he stared into her eyes. "Now sure how that's the case exactly." Gabby smiled when Matt asked her that. "It's because you make sure that we're calm. It's what we both need you to do."

Matt nodded when he heard Gabby tell him that, proceeding to bend down and kiss the beautiful woman he has the honor of calling his wife. "I hope you know that I love you more than anything, and that it's a real honor for me to be able to call you my wife." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling as she really felt the same way. There's just something about how they hold each other close that makes her smile. He truly is the best man in the entire world, and Gabby's just glad that he's her man. "You know, before you moved here…there were times I tried to dream about what life should be if you weren't here. But I couldn't ever do it, because I felt like this was where you belonged for the longest time." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Good, because I belong her for the simple fact that I'm your husband. And nothing will make me believe any other way." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling as that was exactly what she wanted to hear from the man of her dreams; the man she craves more than anything in the entire world. And that's nice.

Moving her hand to Matt's face, Gabby smiled as she leaned in and proceeded to kiss him and softly. "Listen, what do you say we sit up? We can watch TV." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling as he let her go. He then went ahead and went to get comfortable so that the couple could sit up in bed together while they watched TV together. And the truth was, that was exactly what Matt wanted to do with his girl today. He just wanted to sit with her as they held each other close. It's going to be absolutely perfect, and there's nothing more that anybody can say that won't make him believe that this is what we're supposed to be doing with each other. "You sure you're okay with me not wearing a shirt?" Gabby looked at Matt when he asked her that. "Say that again, and I'm sitting next to you in bed instead of in your lap; you know, so that you can run your hand all over my body…which I know you love to do more than you want to admit." Matt laughed.

"Fine, I'll shut up with that." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling as they both got ready to just cuddle up to each other and watch TV in bed this morning. It's going to be perfect, and exactly what they need to do right now. Just taking it easy.

Once Matt and Gabby (finally) got all comfortable with each other in bed, Matt smiled as he tugged the tugged the covers up on top of him and Gabby as she sat in his lap. But let's just say that it didn't take long for his hand to get to his new favorite spot of her body, on her stomach (where their babies are currently growing inside of her). Slipping down in bed some more (to make it easier for Gabby to lean back against his chest), Matt smiled as he stroked her stomach with his thumb before feeling Gabby put one of her hands on his. At the same time, she went to find something on TV for them to watch. "You enjoy this feeling of being in my lap?" Gabby smiled when Matt asked her that, laying her head back against his chest. "Oh, I definitely do." Matt smiled when he heard Gabby say that, putting his hand on her stomach as he held her; turning his head, he kissed her forehead softly. "So, what can we talk about?" Gabby smiled. "Well, I just got something."

Matt nodded, smiling at Gabby. "What's that?" Gabby sighed. "The list of charity fundraiser locations for the 2018 Season, and then the 2019 Season." Matt agreed with Gabby when he said that. "Is Chicago on any of the lists?" Gabby took a breath. "Yeah, it's on both of the lists." Matt nodded as he went to run his fingers through Gabby's hair and kissed her forehead softly. "So, what does that mean?" Gabby took a breath and just decided to roll over onto her side, wanting to talk to Matt about this. "I'm not sure. I mean, I did tell them that I'd like to be the one who does the City of Chicago. But, at the same time…" Matt put his hand on her stomach. "We can still fly baby, and we can stay at home. Wouldn't that be nice?" Gabby smiled when Matt asked her that. "Yeah, I kind of like that." Matt smiled. "When is it?" Gabby smiled. "Right around Thanksgiving. We can do it up there." Matt smiled as he went to grab her hand, intertwining their fingers.

"What about Christmas, are we going to do that down here?" Gabby agreed with me, smiling. "I want to go swimming on Christmas." I agreed with Gabby when she said that, smirking. "Well, it looks like we both know that we're doing. Thanksgiving in Chicago, me doing a shift before the fundraiser." Gabby smiled, ready for Matt to do just that.
