Hello readers, I hope you enjoyed Chapter 42 and their reunion with their friends. However, I have decided that I don't want their stay at Molly's to be all that long; after all, Matt does have work in the morning…and Gabby's pregnant with their twins. Therefore, I am now going to be writing my first post-Molly's chapter right now. Please, enjoy the chapter.

Chapter Forty-Three
Through Sickness and in Health, It's in the Vows

His wife was currently standing in the shower, just rinsing off this evening shortly after they got home from the bar (where the food did not agree with her this evening). The reason that Matt knew that? She ended up vomiting all over the ground, getting a bit of it on his nice jeans that he was wearing his evening. And ever since that happened, she has been feeling guilty; especially over the fact that it was only 6 pm, and they were already home when she knew that her loving husband would much rather be at the bar with their friends. In fact, Gabby specifically told him that…if he wanted to go back to the bar after he got her set up here at home, then she would be absolutely okay with that; in fact, she wanted him to do that. But that was not what the captain planned on doing tonight. Rather, he had plans to do something else for his wife. He had plans to be here with her as he took care of the woman he loves, which is what he's vowed to do for the rest of his life.

He vowed to love her through sickness, and in health; and that means that he has to take care of her when she's sick, especially when she's sick due to the fact that she's currently pregnant with their children. And since those children are not just HER children, that means that he has to be here to take care of her; anyways, there's nowhere that he'd rather be other than here with her. He wants to take it easy with her, and just hold her close ahead of his shift tomorrow. Another thing that he wants to do tonight? He wants to join his wife in the shower, and hold her in his arms so that he can wash her; and he also wants to talk to her about she's his priority, for the rest of his life. And that's especially the case when she's pregnant with their children. That means that he's really going to take care of her, and he can't wait to tell her just that in the shower. Proceeding to walk into the bathroom, Matt smirked as he looked at the woman he loves as she was naked.

And damn, does she look good when she's naked; she's absolutely stunning when she's naked, and he can't wait to hold that beautiful wife of his in his arms. He wants to make her feel loved, and he wants to make her feel beautiful; both of which she always is, and always will be for the rest of their lives. However, he has a feeling that she may not feel that way at the moment; especially when she just embarrassed herself in front of their friends, or so she thinks. The truth was, she didn't do that at all; rather, their friends were all understanding that she'd be sick…so understanding, that Boden said that he could skip shift if Gabby wasn't feeling good in the morning. And he definitely appreciated the offer, but he knew better; he knew that Gabby was going to make him go to work, and she was going to come in with him. Well, that just means that he needs to make sure that she gets as much rest as possible today. After all, she does need to take it easy for a while.

And he's not just talking for her sake, but for the sake of their children; regardless of the gender of their children, all Matt wants is for them to be happy and healthy. And as far as he knows so far, that's exactly what their children are. They're happy and healthy in their mother's uterus (where they are currently growing). And that makes both him, and his wife smile on a daily basis; but something else that's going to make his wife smile, is him joining her in the shower this evening. So, he has plans to do just that; especially when he's as turned on as he is right now, and really craving just the little bit of attention that he wants to get from his wife tonight. He doesn't plan on making love to her tonight, rather he's going to be wearing a t-shirt when they're in bed with each other; it's his way of sending Gabby the message that he loves her, and wants her to be healthy more than he wants to make love to her. He doesn't need sex tonight; he needs her to be healthy.

And now, just to make that crystal clear to his wife by joining her in the shower; and that's going to be a lot of fun due to the fact that she looks absolutely stunning at the moment. God, the way the water is just running down her body is incredible, and Matt can't wait to put his hands on her; that's what they're both going to want him to do the moment he gets in the shower, and Gabby's going to enjoy him in the shower (just not sexually). While he is going to kiss her and run his hands all over her body, he's not going to be making love to her in the shower; that's not something that a husband makes his wife do when she doesn't feel good, especially when she's pregnant with their children. Rather, he's just going to take it slow with her; and he's going to make her feel like the most beautiful woman in the entire world (which he honestly believes she is). Now, let's just hope that said beautiful woman lets him join her in the shower this evening (she will).

Opening the door to the shower this evening, Matt smiled as he looked at the gorgeous woman who was currently standing in front of him as she turned to face him; staring in awe at just how beautiful his wife truly is when she's naked (and water is running down her body). "Wow." Gabby just looked at Matt when he said that. "Yeah, nothing says sexy like a wife getting sick all over her husband." Matt shook his head when he heard Gabby say that, smiling at her as he took off his towel for her this evening; hanging it up next to her own towel, Matt then proceeded to get into the shower with his beautiful wife. "I mean it babe, you're beautiful; and I don't want to hear another word about you saying that you aren't." Turning around to face the gorgeous man that she gets to call her husband, Gabby agreed with him before smiling as she watched him get close to her in the shower. After all, she does want to feel his hands on her body. His muscular hands, that are all hers.

Stepping close to the woman he adores (while closing the shower door behind him), Matt smiled as he felt his beautiful wife wrap her arms around his back; meanwhile, he places his hands on her arms as he stood as close as he could to the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. He then proceeded to put his hand on her neck, pushing her chin up this evening so that he could bend down and kiss her softly; and let's just say that was exactly what Gabby both wanted, and needed this evening. It was just a bunch of pleasure, that she was really liking from her husband. Just taking things nice and slow with Gabby, Matt smiled as he put his hands on her arms once again; rubbing them with his hands, Matt smiled as he made sure to continue to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. And let's just say this, Gabby is really enjoying the feeling of the man she loves taking things nice and slow with her; after all, he's a hunk and he's very muscular.

The way his hands just explore her body as they hold each other close, it's incredible and everything that Gabby wants when they take a shower together; and Matt is well aware of that fact, as it's the reason why he's in the shower with her in the first place. He wants to make her feel loved, and he wants to make sure that she knows that he truly believes that she's the most beautiful woman in the entire world. And he's always going to believe that's the case, because he's her husband; and one of his main jobs as her husband (whether she's pregnant or not), is to make her feel beautiful in her own skin. And in his eyes, that's exactly what Gabby is; she's a very beautiful woman, who just so happens to also be pregnant with their first children. The first children that they're going to love with their entire hearts, and that he's going to be proud to raise with the woman of his dreams. He can already tell that Gabby is going to be an amazing mom, and he can't wait to see it.

He was currently clad in the boxers that his wife loves, walking out of the bathroom this evening as they both prepared to get comfortable in bed for the evening. With Gabby already being all cozy in bed wearing some lingerie, Matt knew that he couldn't keep her waiting long; or else, he was going to have hell to pay. Some punishments for making her wait too long? Well, those include her covering up the lingerie that she has plans to wear all night; and that started from the moment her loving husband was going to walk up to her at the end of their bed clad in his boxers, until they cuddle up to each other in bed for the evening. While the original plan was for them to wear clothes on top of their undergarments, it soon became clear to the both of them that Gabby's hormones were not going to enjoy that; the entire time that the couple were in the shower, she was all over her husband (not that he was complaining). So, he told her that he was staying in boxers.

And honestly, Gabby was absolutely fine with that due to the fact that her husband is an extremely gorgeous man; she just wants him to hold her in bed for a while, as they cuddle up to each other. They can talk, and they can take it easy as they watch tv (and share some kisses). And let's just say, that's exactly what Matt wants to do now that he's seen what his wife is wearing for him. Just looking at his girl as she stood at the end of the bed, Matt smirked while shaking his head. "You tease." Gabby smirked when she heard Matt tell her that she's a tease. "Oh, so I'm the only one that's the tease. Said the guy who's walking around in his tight boxers?" Matt laughed when he heard Gabby say that, carrying his towel over to his dresser before setting it down. Afterwards, he made his way over to the woman he loves; that way, he can give her the kiss that she wants from him right now. Just walking up to her at the end of their bed, Matt smirked at his gorgeous wife.

Putting his hands on her hips, Matt closed the gap in between the both of them instantly so that he could make sure that she just took it easy with him. He then went ahead and leaned in to kiss his beautiful wife softly, just taking things nice and slow with his girl. Moving her hand to the back of Matt's head as he kissed her this evening, Gabby just smiled as she was glad that they are home. That they're back in Chicago, and they're back to the life that they wanted to have before she left to go to Puerto Rico in the first place. And even better, all of their dreams are now coming true. That's when she felt her man pick her up in his arms and wrap her legs around his waist. Smirking as Matt did that, Gabby put her hands on his chest and stroked it with her thumbs. At the same time, Matt walked over to his side of the bed with her in his arms; the arms that she loved to lay down in each and every night. After all, what's sexier than laying down in her man's arms every night?

Pulling away from their kiss, it wasn't long before Matt bent down and proceeded to start sucking on Gabby's neck; and let's just that made Gabby moan. Grabbing the back of Matt's head, she just moaned for him as it was exactly what she wanted. "Oh baby, now that's hot." Matt agreed with Gabby when she told him that, smirking as he sucked on her neck for a while. "I'm just making up for all the pleasure that I'm not going to be able to give you tomorrow, and tomorrow night." Gabby smiled when she heard Matt say that, slipping even closer to him as she wrapped her legs around his waist; at the same time, Matt moved his hands to her back as he continued to suck on her neck as a way to tease her. "Baby, just tell me what you want from me." Gabby smiled when Matt asked her that. "Carry me downstairs to get some waters." Matt smirked when he heard Gabby say that, going ahead with doing just that as he picked her up in his arms again.

But, he made sure to do it carefully; after all, he's currently carrying some precious cargo. And Gabby is well aware of that, so she decided to wrap her arms around his neck; but first, Matt leaned back and looked into her eyes. Quickly stealing a kiss from her, Matt smiled as he whispered to her. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smirking as he carried her out of their bedroom to get them some water. (But the truth was, Gabby just wanted to be held like this for a while). She didn't know why she wanted to be held like this, but the loved it more than anything in the entire world. It was sexy, and definitely what she wants Matt to do right now.

He was now on the main floor, still carrying Gabby in his arms carefully as he didn't want to drop her. He didn't want to screw up and drop her or their children, as that would be a horrible thing to happen. But that was not going to happen, as he was going to make sure that she was going to be safe in his arms for the rest of her life; that was something that he could already guarantee, as there's nothing more important to him than them meeting their children in the future. And now, it's just time for him and Gabby to get some water. Afterwards, they can go back to bed (where they'll relax with each other as they talk and just enjoy some time with each other). And honestly, that felt great. It was exactly what the couple both wanted, and needed to do with each other as a way to make sure that they were going to be comfortable for the night; especially Gabby, as Matt wants to make sure that she gets as much rest as possible for the sake of their children.

Moving to walk over to the counter, Matt smirked as he set her down and then leaned back to look at her. Smirking as she looked at Matt, Gabby watched as he stopped close to her and then moved his hands to her sides; tugging her body against his, Matt smiled as he once again wrapped her legs around his waist and kissed her softly. "Hi beautiful." Gabby smiled when she heard Matt say that, before laying a bit. "Yeah, beautiful." Matt then smiled at her, putting his hand on her neck. "You laugh like that, and I am not going to be a very happy man. You are beautiful, and that's the last I want to hear about it." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, well aware of the fact that he was not going to let her believe that she wasn't beautiful. After all, he believed that she was beautiful; and that was all that mattered at the end of the day. If he didn't think that…I'm not even going to finish that sentence, as he always thinks that his wife is gorgeous.

That's not even something that Gabby needs to think about, as her loving husband always tells her that she's gorgeous; and that's even when they know she isn't looking the best. But, she take sit in stride; and she just loves how he takes care of her to the best of his abilities. It's absolutely perfect, and there's nothing more that she could ever ask for from the man of her dreams (and the future father of her children). Well, maybe that he relaxes a bit more. Walking over to the fridge, Matt smiled as he bent down and then went to grab them some bottles of water. "Now, I don't think that I'm going to be able to carry you back upstairs this time." Gabby laughed when she heard Matt say that. "Come here for a second then." Matt agreed with his wife when she told him that, going to do just that; after all, he does think that she wants a kiss. Heck, she probably does want a kiss. And Matt Casey will never say no to getting a kiss from his beautiful wife, whom he loves.

Getting nice and close to her, Matt set the water bottles down on the counter before stepping close to the woman of his dreams; putting his hands on her legs in the process, Matt smiled as he leaned in and kissed Gabby softly. "Hi." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt tell her hi, really happy that he just did that as it was adorable. "Okay, that was adorable." Matt smiled when he heard Gabby say that, really glad that she thought that it was adorable; after all, he loves it when she compliments him in such a way. "So, you want to walk upstairs with me?" Gabby nodded. "First, I want to talk about something." Matt nodded. "And what might that be?" Gabby smiled. "Just how you can take a breath baby. I'm okay, I promise that I'm okay; and you don't need to worry about me as much as you think you need to Matt." Matt sighed when he heard Gabby say that, knowing why she was telling him that. He's been on edge every since they've been back.

"Sorry, it's just…I'm worried about you. I want you to be happy here and…" Gabby interrupted Matt when he started to say that. "Hey, I am happy here baby. I'm very happy here, and you need to know that. So please, don't you dare think that I'm not happy right now; I'm incredibly happy to be home with the man I love. And soon, we're going to have a family of our own to rase here in Chicago. That's what makes me happy, and I can't wait for that to happen. But right now, you need to take a breath and just take it easy hon. I love you, but you're overdoing it just a bit." Matt smiled when he heard Gabby say that, well aware of the fact that he was overdoing it a bit. "I have to admit that I am overdoing it a bit." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling as she loves him more than anything in the entire world. "But that doesn't mean that I don't love the attention that you're giving me, because I do love the attention that you're giving me."

Matt smiled when he heard Gabby say that, glad that was the case. "But I think that you need to take it easy, and you need to calm down with this obsessive behavior of always having to make sure that I'm okay. I promise, I'll tell you if I'm not okay baby; and I'll tell you if I feel like I need to go to the doctor's for the babies, I promise because I want these babies just as much as you do Matt. Please, remember that." Matt nodded, agreeing with Gabby when she said that. "Hey, I had no doubt in my mind that wasn't the case. Just take it easy and remember that I'm here for you to lean on if you ever need me too, we need to do that for each other after all." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smirking as the man of her dreams was really making her smile right now. She then watched as he got close to her, moving his hands to her neck before kissing her softly. Just taking things nice and slow with his girl, Matt smiled as he enjoyed a sweet kiss with her.

Matt's POV:
God, the feeling of these lips on mine is incredible, and I love the feeling of them more each and every day. That's just a fact, and I am so proud to call Gabby my wife. But right now, I would really like it if we just make our way upstairs so that we can cuddle in bed with each other. I have shift tomorrow, and I would really just like to lay down; and if Gabby wants, she can definitely cuddle up to me in bed (as I would love that just as much). I want to cuddle up to Gabby and our kids, because that'll be the perfect way to end our night. "Listen, what do you say we make our way upstairs so that we can cuddle up to each other? I just want to hold my beautiful family close to me after all." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that, smiling as that was exactly she wanted to do as well; at least, I think she does (one can only assume that your wife wants to do so in these situations after all). But when it comes to Gabby, I pretty much already know it for certain.

Helping my beautiful wife off the counter, I smirked as I put my hand out for Gabby to grab; while I did carry her downstairs to get our waters, I decided that we were going to walk upstairs this time was it would be much easier to walk upstairs together rather than me carry her upstairs. It's just safer due to the fact that I need to watch my feet more when we walk upstairs, and I would not take the risk of dropping my beautiful wife (and our future children) on our way up to bed. "So, just watching some TV when we're upstairs?" Gabby smiled when I asked her that, nodding in the process. "I Like that idea. We can cuddle, watch TV and maybe we can even start ordering stuff again. I mean, we did cancel our other orders; and we have a credit with the company we used, so that money means we can use more of it to go more places.' I laughed, agreeing with Gabby when she said that because I absolutely loved the idea of shopping for the twins. "I love the idea."

I then thought of something. "However, I want you to know that I am still open to talking about tomorrow; if you need to talk to me about your worries, then don't feel like you need to hold back baby. I'm here for you first and foremost." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that, well aware of just what I'm talking about at the moment; I'm talking about any concerns that she may have when it comes to me going back to work. "I don't have any baby, because I know that you're going to be very safe. And if you aren't really safe, then you know that's the end of you being a firefighter for a while." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that, well aware of the deal that I made with her. "I promise, I'll be safe baby." Gabby agreed with me when I said that, ready to go to the firehouse with me tomorrow.
