Chapter 5:Losing Control
September 6th abandoned docks gotham 9:10pm.
Inside the warehouse of gotham right now it was pure silence right now. With no one making a move right now. As it was a complete shock on what delilah was seeing right now that being the kid flash before her eyes right now. As oswald growled
"Dammit it's that junior speedster! You do your job and deal with him while i get away before the boy blunder get here's with the bat"ozwald said as childish laughter could be heard
"ozzy! Come on, I wanted to come say hi with my friends who were in town. They really wanted to meet you"Robin said stepping through the smashed in window as he sat atop a pair of beams as oswald men aimed at him with black spider laughing as he got in an offensive stance
"Lookie here you two again…..let me guess your friends are close"he asked as kid flash smiled waving to the door bowing to it
"Now presenting my buddies be warned one of them gets very anger"kid flash said as emerging from the smoke was someone else
That being a sixteen year old caucasian boy who had short black hair and blue eyes. He is noticeably taller than him. With him having a quite muscular physique to him with him sporting a black t-shirt with a red symbol of superman on it with brown leather pants and dark brown boots. As he had a visible frown on his face growling toward the assassin
"You shot webs in my face…you're gonna pay!''Superboy shouted leaping forward at great heights. As he came down he smashed his fist down but black spider expertly dodged it avoiding his hits firing off purple goo like webs at him as superboy roared with a goon tackling him but it did nothing. With him tearing him off tossing him into a wall hard knocking him to the ground groaning
Immediately the penguin ran into a nearby van with a few of his goons as he ignited the engine. Driving straight out of the warehouse leaving some behind as one called out to him
"What about us boss!"he questioned as a whirring noise was heard as something was thrown at him. That being a birdie rang snapped object that blinked for a moment before donating creating a mini explosion of foam coating the man
Robin leaped into action drawing out his next weapon that was his collapse bow staff. As he swung it into a thug stunning them. As an assassin lunged toward him but in a swift motion he flipped around them causing the two to collide with each other. As he swiftly drove his staff into the two heads making them collided
As more of them aimed their weapons shooting at superboy who growled in rage. He grunted before screaming in rage lunging forward into the fray. As he picked up one goon, tossing him into a pile of boxes, knocking them out. The next thing he did was punch down three assassins onto the ground knocking them out. As he was invulnerable to gunfire with a nearby assassin springing forward to attack him. But then a whining noise was heard
As the assassin was suddenly pinned to a nearby box by a green arrow. Looking up it belonged to Artemis who smiled as she quickly notched an arrow back. Then she fired a few more at her targets in a swift and expertly took down some thugs by pinning them down to the ground. Leaping down to assist them more swiftly in a quick motion kid flash caught her placing her on the ground
"Their we are one safe archer now you gonna pin these guys to the walls"kid flash joked
"Now you gonna help me or joke around KF? '' Artemis asked as she notched another arrow back as he chuckled. Before he pivoted his feet before using his enhanced speed to zip forward into the fight right now
With a few thugs trying to grab some firearms but in a swift motion. Rapidly he began to punch them all down just in time to avoid them getting more firepower into the game. As he leaped up kicking one in the jaw launching them to the ground groaning
With the three teens watching in shock right now with their hands still tied now as richie was a little excited
"Oh my god actually superheroes this is awesome"he cheered right now
"Their more like sidekicks but hey it beats dying!"sean shouted as delilah growled trying to break her restraints right now
"Well we gotta get out…come on powers don't fail me now"she said but as she did someone soon approached them speaking up
"Ummm do you all need help"a female voice spoke up
They looked up to see it belonged to an intangible girl it seems who quickly reappeared to reveal someone in a long sleeve black suit with a red x in the middle with a pair of black shoes and a blue cape on. But her skin was strange as it was green with her having freckles on her cheeks with shoulder length red hair
Immediately Richie yelped"gah how did you appear infront of us!"he shouted as running over was kaldur. Who ran in as an assassin rushed in swinging a sword at him. But in a swift motion kaldur dodged it as he began to use his magic. As the tattoos on his arms glowed with him summoning a water mace. As he swung hard roaring as he launched the assassin back onto the ground as he rushed over to aid them
"Miss martian assist them out of their restraints"kaldur said
"Right let's get you all out of here to safety"Miss Martian said quickly, placing her hands on sean. As suddenly he became intangible as she pulled him out of his restaurant. As kaldur tore off richie restraints with ease as miss martian repeated it with delilah who shivered
"Okay that was weird but….we aint running i'm helping"She firmly said as zipping over was robin who spun kicked a thug into another knocking them to the ground
"Bad idea get out of here black spider isn't someone you mess with"robin warned as black spider dodged a strike from superboy flipping over him kicking him back into a wall making him growl in rage right now
Black spider laughed as he eyed his target landing on Sean smiling under his mask. Firing off a red web it latched onto richie foot making him scream as he was shot up
"Richie!"Sean called out as they saw that black spider placed his arms around the poor boy's neck as he laughed at them. With artemis taking aim which he noticed squeezing harder making richie gasp as she backed off with the remaining league of assassin members getting close as some of penguins goons scrambled for safety from the cops that soon will arrive
Black spider laughed"ohhh your not going away you see here i'm leaving and you ruined my deal. My boss will be anger at you now….especially with the bat brat involved"he said
"Well batman always does hate your boss since he's always annoyed him over the tear"robin said as kid flash zipped to their side
"Guys we gotta play it cool he's got a hostage"kid flash said as superboy growled smashing his fist together
"I'll just beat the snot out of him"he said as kaldur put an arm up assessing their situation. Though delilah had an idea as she focused onto her hand as it started to glow right now in a blue haze. With her smiling lifting her hand up aiming it at the assassin
"Hey big boy eat this!''she shouted as she charged up , firing off a shot narrowly hitting black spider clipping his arm. To their shock as robin took notice of what she just did as black spider scoffed into a laugh doing something right now
"Ohh bad move girly…welp ... .bye bye legs"he said, confusing her as suddenly Richie gasped in pain from something. As time seemed to slow down right now for them as slowly dripping off his back made her go wide eyed that being crimson red liquid.
As it pooled onto the ground with black spider throwing the teen onto the ground. With Richie's body bouncing as Sean screamed out in agony running over as the others split up to try and fight the assassin. With kaldur running over with artemis as delilah had time resume right now
As the other began to fight the assassin with a now retreating black spider who dodged a strike from robin. But returned it by planting his feet on the ground spinning his legs around kicking him back a bit. But robin tired his staff forward striking him back knocking him back slightly
Switching his strategy right now he fired off a few balls of webs with one getting on his foot. But quickly robin ducked back dodging a strike from him as black spider pounced forward to try and grab him. But super boy came in screaming throwing a punch hitting the assassin. This launched him out of a window as he growled with him ready to pursue
"Superboy, no! We need help here right now let him go we got wounded"robin said as superboy growled staying to help
As Delilah ran over to Richie's side who kept coughing and gasping in complete pain right now. With blood starting to pool underneath his body right now as sean grabbed his hands panicking right now
"No…no…rich…richie come on stay awake…stay awake please"he begged as kaldur rushed to their side lifting him up slightly making richie cry out in utter pain. But he saw the wound being a knife to his back.
"He's been stabbed in the back…miss martian call the bioship we need to get him to the nearest hospital"kaldur ordered
"I got it aqualad"miss martian said but with delilah she stared down in complete shock right now
That friend just got her with her, deciding to try and play. As she held her head in utter shock right now with tears slowly forming in her eyes. With her having the rage slowly boiling in her veins right now. As deep down something was slowly snapping inside her as her entire body got coated in that strange blue haze again with artemis noticing her current demonor
"Hey kid calm down we can get him to a hospital"Artemis said
But Delilah wasn't listening as she snapped right now, roaring in rage as her entire body started to be covered in the blue haze. Immediately she saw the closet assassin as she got up running over screaming punching them in the face. This cracked their mask but they were knocked back into a wall hard as they cried out in pain
With two more lunging at her but as their blades made contact suddenly her skin flicked for a moment. As it phazed through her as she roared in rage grabbing the two by the heads slamming them into the ground hard right now. As the remaining ones saw her in a rage fueled state
"Let her be our distraction retreat!"the assassin ordered as the remaining assassin began to leave as they did kid flash studied her for a moment
"Whoa she's anger like superboy here"he said as superboy growled walking over
"Calm down now because we're waiting till the cop arrives' 'he said, placing a hand on her shoulder. But Delilah growled, grabbing his arm before suddenly lifting him in the air. Then she tossed him straight through a wall as superboy screamed slamming into a car making its horn go off completely right now.
This made them back up as robin backed up a little with aqualad summoning a pair of swords in hand twirling them for a moment
"Oh no she took down our heavy hitter…that aint terrifying"kid flash said
"Look we gotta calm here down miss M talk to her through her head"robin said as the green skinned girl placed her finger on her temple as in delilah head her emotions were all over the place right now. But as the martian tried to gain access to her head suddenly delilah felt a surge of pain in her head right now
With her crying out in utter pain right now with her clutching her head. As she began to thrash around before falling to her knees curling up crying out in pain as the haze slowly disappeared around her. Though as she slowly was closing her eyes right now she saw them approaching hearing muffled voices wondering what will happen to her friend right now.
What felt like hours right now with delilah slowly regaining consciousness right now as she slowly lifted herself up. As she wondered if everything was a dream but as she woke up she slowly took in her surroundings, freaking out a little. As she was in an armored truck right now with her hands restrained to the ground as she looked around confused
"What..what…why am i…no…no…don't tell me the police are sending me to belle reve…i…did nothing wrong..i didn't do anything"She cried with tears starting to break through as she tried to break free but felt very weak as she began to visible cry not knowing a camera was watching her right now.
As outside right now watching her right now was the team of young superheroes along with some others in their midst right now. One of them being a slim adult male with short brown hair and mustache who wore some brown pants with a white long sleeve shirt on with the sleeves rolled up. Along with a brown vest on as he had a police badge on his right chest.
But another was a man who had blonde hair with a blonde mustache and beard goatee. As he was wearing a mostly green outfit with a dark green shirt with a hood underneath a light green vest with three dark green oval shaped fasteners, black pants and green boots. He carries a quiver with arrows strapped on his back going over his chest. While he wore long green gloves and a black mask with a green felt of a gold g
But the last was very intimidating as it was a man wearing a dark green costume with a symbol of a bat spread over the chest. Black trunks and gloves with fins on the outer side. Boots with a black cape and unique pattern on the end. As he wore a black cowl designed into a set of bat ears at all times to hide his identity. With a yellow utility belt on.
As there was silence with the police officer sighing
"Seems your ward found an interesting little number down at the docks batman"the commissioner said as batman eyes robin and his teammates as robin stepped forward
"Batman she didn't mean to harm anyone"he said
"She threw me through a wall!"superboy shouted in rage clenching his fist as kaldur put a hand up stopping him for now
"She was under mental stress after what happened to her friend. What will happen to the boy that was injured commissioner gordon''he asked the commissioner who sighed
"Call me jim. As for the boy, he's off to the emergency room right now but what I'm more concerned about is who my boys just locked in an armored car right now. That being the daughter of our partners for security."jim stated as the man in the hood sighed
"So this is what you meant my lovely niece on how one of your friends is acting weird. Great….a new superpowered villain"the man said
As artemis narrowed her gaze"okay green arrow….for one i said she had powers two i said she isn't planning on becoming some supervillain"she said
"And how can you be sure about that?"batman questioned making her stare at him flinching
"That type of action from my report you gave me suggest she a danger to herself and others. Right now our current plan is to send her off to star labs to undergo medical exam and research to see what her powers are. Along with sending her off to belle reve penitentiary"he said to their shock right now as someone shouted at that
"Don't you dare touch my daughter!"katherine shouted running over right now to their surprise
"Ummm who the random lady?"kid flash whispered
"Umm the CEO of bryce industries and security wife and that girl mom"robin said making him flinch right now as by her side was phillip running over with a very worried look right now on his face
"Kath…kath! Relax, don't do anything brash!"he shouted but she did run over slapping batman himself across the face to the teen's shock as miss martian flinched with artemis worried for her safety. As green arrow took a very large step back
"Oh no you've done it now bats you pissed off a housewife"green arrow said as batman stared at the women who looked at him with fear in her eyes
"Good to see you again ma'am. I take it your here to convince me not sending your daughter to jail"batman said as close by hearing this was sean who pushed past some police officer
"What the hell did my friend to do break the law!?"sean shouted to katherine and phillip shock seeing him here right now
"Sean! Why are you here we only got part of it but...why aren't you two at the academy right now"phillip asked as sean froze up with a scared look for his friend as katherine growled
"We can discuss this later. Right now you are going to let my little girl go she did nothing wrong"katherine said
"I'm sorry ma'am but from these six reports. They spotted her at a meeting about a gun deal and had strange powers. Anything we should know about right now"jim asked her making the women freeze for a moment as batman eyed her down eyeing the commissioner for a moment who noticed it sighing
"I'll leave her to you boys back up and give them space"he said as the police officer backed off leaving them to their business as katherine looked down upset right now
"Soooo what we gonna do with the random girl i mean…kinda cruel to just throw her into jail"kid flash replied
"Kinda pulling a repeat of someone else eh batman"robin reminded making batman grumble at him as green arrowed rubbed his head for a moment
"Look, the kids are just scared right now. Her friends in the dam hospital right now along with her have flipping powers. I mean if i was in her situation i'd be freaked out"green arrow said but he eyed phillip for a moment as he eyed sean
"Sean, go to the police, we will negotiate with them to release my daughter, okay"he said as Sean wanted to argue but nodded, walking away leaving them. Once he was far enough he glared at the bat themed hero
"Let me guess you're wondering if I was responsible for this? I may help make your gadget along with Lucius but that is someone I consider like my own flesh and blood. "Phillip said to a bit of surprise as artemis looked surprised
"He makes your bosses gadgets?"she whispered to robin
"Sort of he makes a few but we got a few companies helping us including him included. "He whispered back as Batman sighed, crossing his arms thinking about this for a moment, eyeing the cameras for a bit. Before someone approached them
"Am i late green arrow?"a female voice spoke up
Following the source it belonged to an attractive young woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes with a slender yet toned build to her. She has a distinctive costume on with her having a black one piece bustier leotard combination under a blue lapelled jacket. With gray stocking on and it seams up the front and back. While she wore black heavy calf length boots with black fingerless gloves that go past to the elbow biceps and black choker.
"Ah black canary i wasn't expecting you here"batman said
"You weren;t because he called me ahead of time. I heard the situation and where the kid"she asked as green arrow pointed at the truck
"In their sweetcheeks. Be careful she's kinda of…well…'he paused, eyeing the camera as it showed Delilah visibly shaking and choking on sobs which Katherine noticed as she covered her mouth. As black canary studied it walking over to the doors as batman tried to stop her
"I suggest you stop what your–"he was stopped
"You know better than me that inside this armored truck is a scared child. A child who just saw someone she knew almost die now let me work''she ordered as the two engaged glares back and forth as he nodded to her
Gently she opened the doors letting light into the room making Delilah gasp right now. As black canary slowly stepped inside, closing the door, eyeing the camera as she walked over, taking it off before sitting down cross-legged from her. There was an awkward silence for a bit before she spoke up
"Am…am i going to jail..i…i…i…i…"she choked on her words crying still as black canary had a calm look on her face.
"Look, I want you to take a deep breath for me. Can you do that? Slowly"black canary said as slowly delilah felt a motherly presence from her slowly taking a breath in and out to calm her nerves right now. While she did the superheroine smiled
"Again okay"she advised as delilah did a few times coughing for a moment as she stared at the cuffs freaking out a little which she noticed
Walking over toward her this made Delilah visibly shake for a moment. But slowly she undid the restraint on her wrist which shocked. Once they were off delilah scattered to a nearby corner shaking still as black canary sat their
"Look, I know this is a stressful situation. But right now i need to ask you a couple questions and if you have any questions please ask"she softly asked to the girl surprise as she thought of one
"Is…is my friend going to be okay"she said with a hoarse voice as the doors suddenly opened to reveal kaldur their making her flinch as black canary eyed him seeing the microphone still connected to the camera
"He will be fine. We got word from the hospital he will live"he said to calm her nerves as it slowly did as black canary sighed
"I'd like the door closed i'm trying to calm down our guest here"she said but swiftly running inside was katherine who embraced her daughter in complete fear holding her close in her arms not wanting to let her go
"It'll be okay sweetie…it'll be okay everything will be okay. No one is going to take you"She cried as Delilah cracked crying into her mother's chest in complete fear of what to come. As watching this from an awkward distance where the others as batman eyed the scene exchanging looks with phillip who looked like he was ready to beg to the bat
"Please don't take her to jail, she thought she was doing something right. Please don't hurt my wife little girl"he begged as they paused for a moment as an idea came to robin mind
"Well we could take her into our little team"robin suggested to their surprise as batman narrowed is gaze for a moment as green stroked his chin for a moment
"I mean bats your kids got a good point. Besides that, I mean that kid needs help training her powers along with that she needs guidance. Rather not have a new supervillain going around"green arrowed said
Eyeing the inside of the truck for a moment as he eyed the teens infront of him. The dark knight thought long and hard for a moment on his conclusion for this right now. With him slowly coming to a thought as he sighed nodding to them
"I will discuss this with the league in dew time. Right now I will allow it only under close supervision by red tornadoes and black canary. I will also task revenant to come to mount justice"batman said to the teen surprise as artemis sighed in immense relief right now as phillip sighed with katherine escorting out delilah who was still scared right now
As there was an awkward silence as she stared in surprise seeing the heroes of their world in front of her. But she thought she was going to jail right now but black canary offered a hand to the young girl
"Ma'am we understand your concern for your daughter. But we liked to give her a chance to hone these powers of hers if it's up to her''she offered to delilah shock as she eyed her mother who gently nodded to her
"Umm…o-okay…um…i…i'm really tired can i not go home"she asked as batman stepped forward
"Unfortunately you will need to stay at a location for a time being to get your powers under control. During that time you are allowed visitation right with your family under close watch"batman said to her disappointment but delilah eyed sean who started from a distance as she gently nodded
"Okay…can…i gather some of my things and say goodbye to my friends"she asked
"You can make it quick"green arrow said as she was escorted over to her friend as sean stared at her hugging her tight
"I'll keep an eye out for him and the others okay….please be safe i'll tell you how richie is doing"sean said
"Okay…thanks…tell meadow…babs and…artemis i gotta go"she said as he nodded promising to do that. Then after that she was escorted back to her home gathering some of her things right now. While she did her pet husky winter not wanting her to go right now. But she had to leave as she packed her things up
Then she was escorted into a truck right now not before giving her goodbyes to her family. As she was escorted onto a strange ship as she soon drifted slowly off to sleep wondering what her new life will be now.
It seems that instead of going to jail deliah got a chance to become a real hero now. But at the cost of one of her friends possible being dead or worse. What will happen next chapter?
