Well, if that wasn't unexpected? They actually had sex today, which was something that I definitely did not plan on writing about today. Now, how about we go ahead and jump right back in after their bath. Note that this is the last chapter for tonight. I will continue with Chapter SIXTY tomorrow (still can't believe that we're at Chapter Sixty already).
Chapter Fifty-Nine
Black Friday Part Four
The feeling of Matt's soft lips on her skin was making Gabby moan as she tried to relax as they sat in bed together after their bath, which Matt was making very difficult at the moment. However, that was not entirely his fault. The reason why he's not entirely at fault? Well, that would be because of what Gabby decided to wear right now. And just what did she decide to wear? Well, Gabby is currently wearing one of Matt's undershirts (without a bra) and very short pajama shorts. Meanwhile, Matt was wearing some real pajama pants and a sweater; which he expected was what Gabby was going to be wearing, so he decided to wear the same thing. But now, he was stuck wearing this; the reason? He vowed not to take it off since he wanted Gabby to relax and just take it easy as they lay down in bed with each other. (Not sure just how successful that's going to be now considering what Gabby is currently in the midst of wearing as they hold each other in bed). I mean, she is looking really sexy, while Matt is looking like a teenager heading to a sleepover. And that's why Gabby was currently being pestered with a bunch of kisses from her husband, as a way to tease her for what she's doing to him right now. Oh, and just what might she be doing right now? She's turning her husband on by wearing just what she's wearing right now.
But that doesn't mean that Matt plans on cracking, cracking to the craving of having her under him in bed. No, he's going to be the strong one; and he's going make her learn her lesson, the lesson that her husband has stronger will power than anybody she has ever know. Will power that he's had for years considering everything that he's gone through, especially the abused that he suffered at the hands of his father when he was younger; let's just say that really makes you strong, especially when it happens when you're really young, and at such a vulnerable age. However, that's something that Matt's kids are never going to have to worry about experiencing. He has always promised himself that he will never abuse his children, and that's a promise that he intends to keep until his death. His kids are too precious to be abused, nor do they have the right to feel like they need to hide anything from him. He wants to be the type of dad who can be approached when they need help with something, and he wants to be the one who teaches their children everything that they need to know in life; he's seen Herrmann do it with his kids, and that's what he wants to have a chance to experience with his kids (when they're old enough at least). God, just the idea of having 5 kids thought, that seems a bit overwhelming to Matt.
But then again, he and Gabby want a big family; and he doesn't seem them no longer wanting each other for years to come, they are just too hormonal and crave each other too often. And that was the entire reason why Matt and Gabby decided to put some sweats on, to try and deter their sexual cravings for one another; and to try and make sure that they relaxed for the sake of their twins. They both want to have the babies so bad, that they don't want to put them at risk. And that's another reason why they decided to abandon their idea of travelling, because travelling can easily cause stress; and they do not want that for their children. Their children deserve to have an easy time in their mother's womb, and they just deserve to have time to grow as much as they can before they're born next year; god, next year. To think, Matt's going to be a dad next year. After having wanted to be a dad for so long, Matt still can't believe that it's finally happening. This truly is a dream come true, and it's all thanks to the most beautiful woman in the entire world; his gorgeous wife, Gabriela Marie Casey. God, he loves that name. Her having taken his name is something else that he loves about his girl, her name.
There's just something about them having the same last name that really makes him smile, and he can't explain it. All he knows, is that he will never let his gorgeous wife revert to her maiden name (unless she goes back to the firehouse); at the firehouse, she will always be known as "Dawson". That is, unless he becomes a Chief. Then he knows that she's going to want to go by Ms. Chief Casey. God, to think…they made a joke about that a while back, and it's still a possibility as he might continue his Chief courses. He still hasn't figured that out yet. But if he does continue them, then it gives him an opportunity in the future to go back as a Battalion Chief. It's a position that's much safer, in his opinion. And it's probably one of the positions Gabby would like him to be in rather than being a firefighter. But for now, that's not his job. His next job is going to be an instructor at the academy, and that will be a lot of fun. Getting to train the future of the Chicago Fire Department. That's a huge honor, and he can't wait to be part of their journeys to train the future of the CFD. However, that was not what was on Gabby's mind right now; rather, that was her doing a bit of shopping at Target this Black Friday.
"Do you think they'll deliver baby?" Getting snapped out of his thoughts, Matt looked down at his wife. "Sorry, what?" Gabby then looked up at Matt, smiling at him. "You were daydreaming, weren't you?" Matt sighed when Gabby asked him whether he was daydreaming. "Sorry baby, I was." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at him. "I was just wondering, do you think some stores might deliver for nursery furniture like the crib and changing table?" Matt looked down at Gabby. "Actually, I was thinking that maybe I could make the changing table?" Gabby looked up at Matt when he said that. "What?" Matt smiled, agreeing with Gabby when she asked him if he was being serious. "I've been looking online to see if there was this thing I dreamed up once for a baby. A dresser with a baby change table already on top of it, but I can't find one. So, I was going to make one." Gabby smiled when she heard Matt say that, sitting up. "Really?" Matt nodded. "I was thinking of getting like an old desk or something. One of those oak ones that they don't make anymore."
Gabby was shocked that he was even thinking about that, and was quite turned on. "Are you serious baby?" Matt smiled. "Then, we can use some of the drawers for onesies and diapers." Gabby smiled as she leaned in, kissing her husband softly; really liking that idea. Afterwards, she decided to set her iPad down to the side so that she could concentrate on the kiss that she wants to share with her loving husband. Moving his hands to Gabby's face, Matt smirked as he was really happy over the fact that Gabby was giving him a really nice kiss right now. "I can only assume that means that you really like the idea?" Gabby laughed, smiling as she looked into Matt's eyes. "Baby, I love the idea of you making me homemade stuff for our kids." Matt smiled, leaning his forehead against Gabby's. "It's just the little things. I mean, if I can make it…then why not put my talents to use. I was even thinking of making you a rocking chair, but I thought that would be too much." Gabby laughed. "Oh, I already ordered that. It's on its way. Should be here next week." Matt was shocked. "Excuse me?"
Gabby nodded, smiling as she went to sit down in Matt's lap again; she then smiled as she laid her head back. "Yeah, should be here Tuesday or Wednesday." Matt sighed. "And where was I when you picked it out?" Gabby looked up at her husband when he asked her that. "Last time I checked, it was for me." Matt sighed when he heard Gabby say that, wrapping his arm around her. "Well then, looks like you're going to have two rocking chairs." Gabby just looked up at her husband when he said that. "Excuse me?" Matt sighed as he ran his fingers through Gabby's hair. He then turned his head, kissing her forehead softly. "I ordered you a really comfortable chair for the living room as an anniversary gift. It was going to move it in here for a feeding chair when the babies were born." Gabby then slipped up Matt's chest, looking down into his eyes. Putting his hand on the side of Gabby's face, Matt smiled as he leaned up and kissed her softly. "Baby, I love what you did. I am so sorry, I should've asked." Matt shook his head when Gabby said that. "Hey, it's okay. It was an anniversary gift."
Gabby nodded, smiling as she looked down into Matt's eyes. "When is it supposed to be here?" Matt was about to answer her question when he heard a knock at the door. Going to grab his phone, he decided to check the camera to see what it is; that was, when he saw the logo of the company he bought the chair from. "Uhm, today."
Matt's POV:
The chair that I got for Gabby was quite easy to bring into the house considering they brought it right to the door of our home, and that was really nice of the guys to do that; especially when I know that Gabby wants to try it out. "So, if you could just set it in here. I think my wife is going to want to have it right here." That's when I heard Gabby come out. "Actually, can you put it right next to the couch more? I want to be able to hold your hand while we sit down together." Turning my head as I heard Gabby come out, I agreed with her and smiled. "Of course, baby." Gabby smiled when I said that I would put it right next to the couch, which would allow her to hold my hand as we watch TV together. "Not that you're going to sit anywhere other than in my lap while we watch TV." Gabby nodded when I said that. "This is mostly for when I want to sit alone, isn't it?" I agreed with Gabby when she asked me that. "And when we have company over."
Gabby smirked when I said that. "A throne for the queen." The delivery man (Kevin) laughed when Gabby said that, liking the sound of that. "Well, that is what the wife is while she's pregnant after all." I smiled when I heard Kevin say that, looking at my beautiful wife. "Don't I know it." Kevin then proceeded to walk over to me. "Here we go, the paperwork that you need to sign. Then, I'm on my way." I agreed with Kevin when he said that, smiling as I went to grab the paperwork. How about you go try it out baby? I'll clean up and let Kevin out." Kevin shook his head. "I bring the stuff out with me. We put it in the landfill for you." I agreed with Kevin when he said that, smiling. "Hey, go right ahead man." Kevin then proceeded to go clean up the box and packing that was in the box, while I went over the documentation that I needed to sign for the chair. "Okay, before I sign for the delivery; can you try it out and see if it's good enough for you babe?" Gabby agreed.
Walking over to the chair, Gabby smiled as she went to go sit down in it; afterwards, she sat back and just really started to like the feel of it. However, she then did something that was confusing me. "What are you doing with your arms baby?" Gabby smiled. "Just making sure that I have enough support, for when I have the baby in my arms and I'm breastfeeding." I then realized that, snickering a bit as she told me that. "So, do you like it? Can I sign for the chair?" Gabby agreed with me, smiling when I asked her if I can sign for the chair. "Yes, please do." I then went to go sign for the chair, before giving the clipboard back to Kevin so that he can be on his way. "Cute couple that you guys are. First baby?" I smiled at him. "First babies. Twins." Kevin just looked at me when I said that, seemingly nervous. "Good luck my friend. My brother has twins, and he hasn't slept the same since. They're 18 months old." Gabby laughed when he said that. "Trust me, we're trained."
Kevin just looked at Gabby when she said that. "You can train for it?" I nodded when he asked me that. "Former firefighter, former paramedic." Kevin then looked at me when I said that. "Wait, firefighter Matt Casey. Firefighting alderman Matt Casey?" I sighed when I heard him ask me that. "The one and only." Kevin agreed with me when I said that. "You had my vote. You were good." I agreed with him when he said that, smiling. "Thank you. Now listen, how about we get you on your way so that you can go make more deliveries? I would rather not have you be late." Kevin agreed with me when I said that, smiling as we both made our way out of the condo so that he could get back to work. Meanwhile, I was going to spend some time with Gabby in the living room. "So, are we going to sit out here for a while?" Gabby smiled. "Maybe?" I smirked when she asked me that. "Think I can get you out of that chair, and onto the couch with me instead?" Gabby smirked.
"Make me a grilled cheese, and you got yourself a deal." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that, walking over to the kitchen to make Gabby a grilled cheese; that way, we can stay in the living room for a while. I mean, it would be a shame for us to waste the entire condo. That's when I saw Gabby walk away to our room again. "Where are you going baby?" Gabby smiled. "I'm going to grab my iPad." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "Sounds good." Gabby nodded when I said that, smiling as she walked back into our room so that she could grab her iPad. At the same time, I walked into our kitchen and proceeded to continue to make Gabby a grilled cheese so that she could have a snack.
Gabby's POV:
Sitting down on my new recliner in the living room, I smiled as I just cuddled up into it because it was really comfortable. Sure, am I going to want to cuddle up to my man at some point? Of course, I'll want to cuddle up to him; but right now, he's making me some food, and I want to try this out. Heck, maybe we can stay apart for a bit. I mean, he can just look at me from here and we can talk,. We don't always need to be all over each other. Plus, I wouldn't mind if we invited somebody over. I have been meaning to invite the new paramedic over. She said that she wanted to hear more about Shay, and I wonder if Matt would go about that. Plus, it would give us a reason to stay out here. "Hey baby?" Matt then turned his head. "Yeah, I'm coming." I just looked at him. "Oh no, I'm okay. Just take your time. I was just thinking. You remember that new couple on Ambo? The ones that said they wanted to learn more about Shay?" matt agreed with me. "Evan and Violet."
I was a bit shocked when I heard that one of the paramedic's name was Violet. "Violet, like our niece?" Matt laughed. "Trust me, that was the same reaction that I had a first; I thought I heard her name wrong. But yes, her name is Violet just like our niece." I agreed with him when he said that. "Well listen, they wanted to know more about Shay; because her name is on Ambo 61. I tried to talk to them about it at Molly's, but we never got a chance to finish because I was tired and I was just getting emotional. So, I was thinking that maybe I could see if they wanted to come over?" Matt smiled when he heard Gabby ask him that. "I think that would be lovely. Want me to give her a call? I have her number." I looked at him when he said that. "You have her number?" Matt then turned to look at me. "Gabby, we used to be co-workers remember. I used to have Sylvie's number, but I deleted and blocked it the moment I heard what she did to you." I took a breath and sighed.
"Think they'll ask us what she did if they come?" Matt shook his head. "I already sent them both the report of the call, so they know what happened. They promised never to ask questions." I agreed with Matt when he told me that. "Thanks baby, that was smart." Matt agreed with me when I told him that. "Just looking out for my girl. But listen, you were thinking of inviting them over?" I agreed with Matt. "Listen, I know it's Black Friday…and we said that we'd relax but…" Matt shook his head. "No, it's okay. If you want to hang out with them, we can. I'm leaving it up to you. I just know that you need to take it easy after the drama from yesterday." I agreed with Matt. "You know what, maybe we can wait a bit. They might have to deal with that too. I mean, it was probably scary." Matt turned to look at me as I said that. "Gabby, I'm leaving it up to you. If you want me to call them, I will. But if not, we can just watch a movie." I smiled at Matt. "Can we cuddle?"
Matt agreed with me, smiling when I asked him whether we can cuddle. "We're going to cuddle on the couch, as we finish the Macy's Parade. Then maybe we can watch football?" I shook my head when he asked me if we can watch football after the parade. "It's the start of my movies. Hallmark." Matt groaned when I said that, but I was not having it. "I might take another bath later, and you might get an invitation to join." Matt then shut up. "What I meant to say was…" I just looked at him. "I love you, and will do whatever you want." I agreed with Matt when he said that. "Yeah, that was what you were going to say. And I'm an idiot." Matt shook his head when I said that. "Call yourself an idiot again, and I will hold back sex for a night." I looked at Matt when he said that. "Your loss last time I checked." Matt snickered. "Yeah, it would be my loss. Now listen, you decide whether we invite them over or not." I bit my lip when he asked me if I wanted to call them.
"You know what, I changed my mind. I want a day alone with my man." Matt smiled, agreeing with me when I said that. "And I want a day alone with my girl. How about we just take it easy today? We've been through a lot lately, and I'm still worried about the twins." I took a breath when I heard Matt say that. "Do you want to talk about that baby?" Matt sighed. "We don't have to, as long as you take it easy and relax. And since that's what you're doing right now, then I don't see a need to have a conversation about it." I agreed with Matt when he said that. "If that ever changes baby, just know that we can always talk." Matt smiled when I said that. "Now, you're sounding like me." I smiled, agreeing with my handsome husband as I watched him make me a grilled cheese. "You're rubbing off on me. Us talking a lot really has changed how I open up to you, and it means that we have a healthy marriage." Matt agreed with me, smiling as I said that.
"Baby, I hope you know that we already have a strong marriage." I agreed with Matt when he told me that. "Hey, I never doubted that for a second baby. I know that we have a strong marriage, and it's just getting stronger each and every day; which is something that I'm very proud of. We did everything that we needed to do so that we could make our marriage stronger and ready for us to welcome these twins." Matt smiled when I told him that, continuing to concentrate on the food that he's currently making me. "I swear, I love what I'm hearing from you." I agreed with Matt when he told me that, smiling as I felt the same way. "I swear, you are such a charmer; and I hope you know that Mr. Casey." Matt laughed when I said that, agreeing with me as he turned his attention back to my grilled cheese and flipped it over this morning. "By the way, have you thought more about that baby changing table idea I proposed?" I agreed with Matt, smiling at him.
"Yeah, I was about to go on eBay to see if I can find a desk like that for you. Are you sure that you think you'll have time baby?" Matt agreed with me. "I have all month to do a bunch of baby stuff for you." I smiled when he said that. "So, that's what we're going to do during your month off? We're going to get ready for the twins." Matt nodded when I asked him whether we're just going to get ready for the twins during his month off (before he starts at the academy). "I mean if you want to. We can do that quite easily if it interests you." I smiled, agreeing with Matt when he asked me whether spending the next month getting all ready for the twins, before he starts at the fire academy, really interests me. "I think that would be a great way to spend your last month off before you have to go back to work." Matt smiled when I said that. "Just some time with my beautiful wife, sounds perfect." I agreed with him when he told me that, smirking. "Just finish the sandwich."
Matt agreed with me when I told him to finish my sandwich. "Yes Ms. Casey." I smiled when I heard Matt say that, still loving the fact that we now truly are Mr. and Ms. Casey. "Do you like the fact that we now truly are, Mr. and Ms. Casey?" Matt agreed with me. "You know, I did say that I wanted it…but I never knew just how much I really wanted it. I like the fact that we now share a last name, and that you're going to share a last name with our kids." I agreed with Matt when he told me that, smiling as that was the exact reason why I decided to take the last name Casey. "That's actually the reason why I decided to change my last name." Matt turned to look at me when I told him that. "Really?" I nodded, agreeing with Matt when he asked me whether that was the real reason why I changed my last name to Casey. "I liked the idea of it being Matt, Gabby, Gabriel and Matteo Casey." Matt looked at me when I said some boys names. "God, I really like those names."
I laughed, agreeing with Matt when he said that; because I knew that he would like those names. "Matteo Andrew Casey." Matt smiled when I said that Matteo would have Andy's name, as his middle name. "I like that idea even better, having me and Andy's names together for one of our son's names." I agreed with Matt when he told me that. "Andy was your best friend baby. It just makes sense that your namesake son would have his name as his middle name." Matt agreed with me as I told him that, smiling. "Well, I am so glad that's the case. Now listen, I am going to concentrate on finishing this sandwich for you; then I will come join your so that we can eat this snack together." I agreed with Matt when he told me that, smiling as I went back to my iPad to go do some shopping for our boys. Next thing on my list? Some car seats ideas. Opening Google, I went to search for just that by typing 'baby car seats newborn'.
