Chapter 8: Farmer Refuted

Samuel Seabury: Hear ye, hear ye, my name is Samuel Seabury. And I present "Free Thoughts on the Proceedings of the Continental Congress"

"'Free thoughts'? Oh no… this can't be good…" Hermione mumbled, making Ron look at her with a questioning gaze. Ron didn't know just how violent people in history could get over people contradicting them and their opinions.

Samuel Seabury: …

Many people looked at the three on screen, some scared, and some just staring at the amount of hate and anger that was almost radiating off them. "The only advice I can give you is not to do something you'll regret, pup," Sirius warned, shuddering as he thought about some of the bad decisions he made when he was in school.

Samuel Seabury: Heed not the rabble who scream revolution. They have not your interests at heart.

"You know I thought that Riddle guy was weird, but at least they are as fuc- I mean, as scary as Harry, Blaise, Ron, and Fleur are," Ginny said, correcting herself as seeing her mother's glare pointed in her direction.

"I do not think we can accurately compare Mr. Riddle with your friends in the other universe if we do not know them personally," Dumbledore said, unaware of just how hypocritical he was at moments like this.

Many of the current Hogwarts students just rolled their eyes at Dumbledore, not trying to conceal their reactions at all, as they knew Dumbledore would ignore them anyways.

Ron Weasley (Hercules Mulligan): Oh my God, tear this dude apart.

"You know suddenly I'm glad I've never been on the wrong side of those glares," A student shuddered, thinking about how they might react if someone glared at them like that.

Samuel Seabury: Chaos and bloodshed are not a solution.

"Do you think that's King George?" Arthur Weasley asked some of the other adults near him, including his wife. "I would hope not… he looks quite unpleasant," Molly said, watching the flash on the screen that showed the supposed King George with an evil grin on his face.

"I wouldn't be surprised," Remus said a frown on his face, "Unfortunately, Harry's never had great luck with authority figures. And judging by how this King George has been described so far, along with how many people want a revolution, I believe we can assume that not many people like him as a ruler."

Samuel Seabury: Don't let them lead you astray. This Congress does not speak for me.

"Oh, Harry… what are you planning on doing?" Fred and George mumbled, already thinking of the possible ways that Harry could mess with the Seabury guy.

Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): Let him be.

"Hah! I wouldn't even try to stop Harry at that point, let him get in as much trouble as he's going to. No use getting involved," Ron said, earning a glare from Harry. "I see how much you care, thanks Ron, really appreciate it."

Samuel Seabury: They're playing-

"How did that work?!" Draco asked, astonished. Riddle fell for the obvious bait, allowing Potter to get to Seabury, if Draco tried that, well, he definitely wouldn't succeed.

Samuel Seabury: -a dangerous game.

"Yes… he did," Remus sighed, he didn't want his pup to make a decision he would regret.

Samuel Seabury: …

"Oh, my Merlin…" Hannah Abbott whispered, she was starting to get creeped out by the way Harry was crawling onto the stage while thinking about "murder time".

Samuel Seabury: I pray the-

"No shit…" Seamus whispered, but not quite quiet enough, as McGonagall still glared at him as she scolded him, "Language, Mr. Finnigan."

Samuel Seabury: -King shows you his mercy. For shame, for shame!

"Okay, but 'I pray the king shows you his mercy' does not sound like he's a very nice or forgiving king," Katie Bell mentioned, getting nods of agreement from her friends around her.

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): Yo, he'd have you all unravel at the-

Samuel Seabury: Heed not the rabble-

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): -Sound of screams but the-

Samuel Seabury: -Who scream-

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): -Revolution is comin'!

"Oh, actually what Harry's doing isn't as bad as I thought it would be. He's not getting that violent, and he's only voicing his opinion like Samuel Seabury is," Tonks said, explaining why what Harry's doing wouldn't be considered illegal. At least with Wizarding laws.

Samuel Seabury: -Revolution, they-

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): The have-nots are gonna-

Samuel Seabury: -have not your-

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): -Win this!

"You can see the opposition between the colonists and the British, as none of the colonists are defending Samuel Seabury, who is against the Revolution," Bill Weasley said, a thoughtful look on his face.

Samuel Seabury: -Interests at heart!

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): It's hard to listen to you with a straight face.

The Great Hall burst into worried laughter, as much as they like Harry's comeback, it was still worrying what a man like Samuel Seabury might do to Harry for a comment like that.

Harry Potter and Samuel Seabury (Alexander Hamilton and Samuel Seabury): Chaos and bloodshed-

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): -Already haunt us!

Samuel Seabury: -Are not a solution!

"I mean, I do agree with Samuel Seabury in some parts, as I do believe that violence is not a solution, but I also agree with Harry because if there's already violence, then you have to protect and stand up for yourselves," Ginny said, explaining her point of view. Harry nodded at her, he understood where she was coming from.

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): Honestly, you shouldn't even talk.

"Now Harry's getting more frustrated and angry…"

Samuel Seabury: Don't let them-

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): And what about Boston?

"What does Harry mean? What about Boston?" Hestia Jones questioned, looking at Harry and Hermione, who seemed to know the most about American history. "Well, I assume the other me is talking about the Boston Massacre. The Boston Massacre was a deadly riot that occurred on March 5, 1770, in which a group of nine British soldiers killed five people out of a crowd of three or four hundred who were harassing them verbally and throwing various projectiles. Though reports vary of who started it, and exactly who was at fault for this terrible event," Harry explained, as Hermione seemed to not recall what it was, exactly.

"Oh my!" Molly exclaimed, she hated to think that people had died because of that confrontation.

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): Look at the cost, n' all that we've lost n' you talk-

Samuel Seabury: -Lead you astray!

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): -About Congress?

Samuel Seabury: -This Congress does not speak for me!

"I think the Congress doesn't speak for Harry and the colonists enough if they are going to start a revolution about it."

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): My dog speaks more eloquently than thee!

"Hahahahaha!" Many people laughed at Harry's comment, which brightened up the atmosphere.

Samuel Seabury: They're playing a dangerous game!

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): But strangely, your mange is the same!

"Personally I wouldn't take that-" One muggle-born teen said, getting laughs from the people who understood the reference.

Samuel Seabury: I pray the king shows you his mercy!

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): Is he in Jersey?

"Much more of this teasing from Harry and Samuel Seabury might be the first one to get violent," Sirius whispered to Remus, chuckling at Harry's face and the way his friends laughed with him as well.

Samuel Seabury: For shame!

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): For the revolution!

Samuel Seabury: For shame!

Others (Ensemble): For the revolution!

"I think we know who the audience prefers," Lee Jordan said, getting chuckles from the Weasley twins, who were sitting on either side of him.

Samuel Seabury: Heed-

"Now he just really looks pathetic."

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): If you repeat yourself again I'm gonna-

Samuel Seabury: Scream!

"He should probably just give up at this point, I mean, Harry's winning, and he's not backing off," Charlie said, getting a smile from Harry.

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): Honestly, look at me, please don't read!

"Exactly, other Harry and I think the same way."

Samuel Seabury: Not your interests-

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): Don't modulate the key then not debate with me!

"That is a very insightful point, Mr. Potter," Mrs. Diggory complemented, getting a small thank you from an embarrassed, slightly blushing Harry.

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): Why should a tiny island across the sea regulate the price of tea?

Many people in the audience thought about what argument Samuel Seabury could make against Harry, but it was hard to believe that it would be a good enough reason to make Harry agree with Samuel Seabury.

Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): Harry, please.

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): Riddle-

"He shouldn't have said anything if he didn't want Harry to argue with him," Hermione said, shaking her head.

Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): -I'd rather be divisive than indecisive, drop the niceties!

Others (Ensemble): Silence-

"Ouch, they just slammed Harry's head down like that…" Ron winced, rubbing his head where Harry hit his.

Others (Ensemble): -a message from the king!

"At least Riddle is nice about Harry falling…" Remus said, trying to figure out whether he thought Tom Riddle was a good guy or not in the other universe.

Others (Ensemble): A message from the king! A message from the king!

"Oh boy, what do you think the king could want to announce?"
