Chapter Seventy-Three
Bed Head Hair and Yogurt Cereal
Her husband was currently stroking her arm as they held each other close, having just woken up in each other's arms; their favorite way to wake up together in bed. Running his hand up and down his wife's arm, Matt smiled as he felt Gabby's arms snake themselves around his torso even tighter than they just were. If he had to compare this life to the life that they had a month earlier, it was the best; and they are both extremely happy with each other, even if they aren't at home. Then again, they are at home…because they have each other. Gabby is his home, and so are their future children. Their sons, Gabriel, and Matteo. Oh, and the future life that the both of them are going to have to figure out in the future. And just what might they consider having be a part of their future? Well, that may be running a business. At least, if they follow what he just dreamed about; but he just hasn't brought that up yet, as they have decided to wait to take any steps with their money.
Yes, Matt is saying that it's their money; and that's because they're going to spend it together, and make decisions as to how they spend it as husband and wife. They are going to have to do it together, as it means that they are going to make decisions together. But there's just something about this dream that he loves, the idea of him not returning to the CFD; rather, he's going to go ahead and start a business. And that's something that really peaks his interest, based on the fact of something that he might create back in Chicago; something that you've already been introduced in the dream, but one that Gabby doesn't know about yet. And while he does want to mention it, he's just too comfortable holding his beautiful wife in his arms to mention it right now; as he just wants to take it easy with his beautiful wife. Kissing her softly as he moved his hand to her neck, Matt smiled as he took things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams, his wife, Gabriela Casey.
Yet, at the same time, he couldn't help but try and hold back a laugh that he had on the tip of his tongue; a laugh that came from the bed head hair that his wife was currently suffering from. But he didn't plan on mentioning it, as he didn't want to risk loosing his chance to run his hands all over Gabby's body in this lingerie that she's wearing for him right now; yes, for him. Sure, she may not say it…but he just knows that she's wearing this lingerie for him, as she wants to tease him. That's when Matt felt Gabby run her hand up his shirt, him wondering just what that means. "Do you want me to take off my shirt for you?" Gabby took a breath when Matt asked her if she wanted him to take off his shirt. She then got close to the man of her dreams, slipping her legs in between his before putting her hand on his neck. At the same time, Matt put his hand on her hip and kissed her forehead softly. "You okay baby?" Gabby took a breath. "I don't want to have sex Matt, promise?"
Matt agreed with his wife. "I promise to keep my shirt on then." Gabby looked up at Matt before shaking her head, wanting him to take off his shirt. "I think it'd be fair for you to be shirtless, just like me as I'm wearing lingerie." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby tell him that as he's ready to do exactly what his gorgeous wife wants to do, rolling over in the process so that he can get up and then take off his shirt (which is just want she wanted him to do). Afterwards, he carried it over to his dresser so that he can set his shirt down. At the same time, Gabby just took a moment to stare at the man she loves as he walked away with his shirt so that he could set it down. Afterwards, he turned around and smiled at the woman of his dreams; the woman whom he knows that is very hormonal right now, based solely on the fact that she wanted him to take off his shirt. He then went ahead and grabbed some of the deodorant so that he could put some on for his beautiful wife.
Looking at his wife as she smiled at him, Matt smirked. "So, I had this dream while we were taking a nap." Gabby agreed with Matt as he mentioned that he had a dream while they were napping. "Care to share if the dream was about our kids?" Matt shook his head when Gabby asked him if it was about their kids. "Well, our kids were mentioned in the dream." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at the woman he loves; he then went ahead and walked away to get back in bed with the woman of his dreams. "I just had a dream about us having a business with the money that we now have." Gabby was a bit shocked when she heard Matt say that. "Really? Like one that we already inherited or…" Matt shrugged. "Not sure, all I know is that I said that I was running a business. And I had a charity to create a clinic in Chicago."
Gabby was confused when she heard Matt mention a clinic. "A clinic? Like a health clinic?" Matt agreed with Gabby.
Slipping into bed with his beautiful wife, Matt smiled as he proceeded to move close to his girl. "The Shay-Darden-Severide Memorial Health Clinic at Gaffney Medical Center by Casey First Responders Health, a subsidiary of Casey First Responders." Gabby was shocked when she heard Matt say that. "Well, that's specific. But Shay-Darden-Severide?" Matt nodded. "SDS Memorial Health Clinic at Gaffney Medical Center by CFRH. That's literally the title that we had." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling at him. "So, what are we talking about? Are you thinking of going ahead with starting a business now? I know that you have a lot on your mind, as to just what you want to do with this new wealth; I mean, we didn't even have to buy a home in Hawaii." Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, smiling. "I have to say that I am glad that was the case, as it's nice to know that we can just take it easy and just relax as we take in the beautiful sights of Hawaii."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling as they both held each other in bed; afterwards, Gabby stroked his hand and smiled. "I would definitely see that happening, because I like the idea of you honoring Shay." Matt laughing, agreeing with the woman of his dreams. He then leaned in and proceeded to kiss her softly, putting his hand on her hip before kissing her softly; taking things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams, Matt just smiled due to the fact that they are just here with each other. That they are both here, enjoying this new life that they are blessed to be starting here in Hawaii together. "So, are you enjoying this life that we're already starting here in Hawaii?" Gabby nodded, smiling as Matt asked her whether she was enjoying their new life here. "I'm loving it. However, I am still trying to think about that clinic. What are we talking about here?" Matt shrugged. "I think it's just my way to help people who have bad lungs?"
Gabby smiled when she heard Matt say that, because she actually likes that. "Oh, I definitely like that idea. And I love the idea of naming it after Shay, Andy, and Benny. I am sure that they are all going to love it." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, stroking his wife's hand when she told him that. Afterwards, Matt leaned in and proceeded to kiss his girl once again. "How are you feeling right now? Doo you need to take it easy more?" Gabby shook her head when Matt asked her whether she needs to take it easy more. "I could definitely go for a sexy kiss from my loving husband." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, wrapping his arm around her back before tugging her against his chest. Afterwards, Gabby put her hand on Matt's chest while leaning in to kiss the man of her dreams. Afterwards, she put her hand on his neck and smiled as they both took things nice and slow with each other; before moving her hand to the back of Matt's head, to hold him close.
Taking things slow with Gabby, Matt smirked due to the fact that this is exactly what the both of them want to be doing right now. They want to hold each other close and just concentrate on each other and their future kids, loving the fact that they are both just taking it easy with each other. "So, how do you like being wealthy?" Gabby laughed when Matt asked her if she likes being wealthy. "Yeah, I like being wealthy; as it means that I get to live a nice life with the man of my dreams, and I also get to see him in boxers much more often." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling as he looked at her. He then put his hand on Gabby's stomach and just smirked due to the fact that they are both really happy with each other at the moment. "Listen, so I was thinking that…if I'm going to run a business together, I want us to promise something to each other." Gabby nodded as she looked at Matt when she said that. "And what promise might that be?"
Matt smiled at Gabby when she asked him that, stroking her hand with his thumb. "I want to promise us that we're going to do this together, and that…if we start a company, we do it together; and I mean that I want to do it together." Gabby agreed with Matt when she heard him mention that he wants to create a business together, if that's what they do in the future. "Well, that's definitely something that I like. I like us working together on a project together, because it means that we're going to just take it easy with each other. And I want to make sure that we don't go fast." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling as he proceeded to intertwine their fingers. Just holding her close to him, Matt smirked due to the fact that his wife is the most beautiful woman in the entire world (in his opinion). And like he's said in the past, his opinion is the only opinion that really matters; as he's the only man who gets to look at her like this.
Like this, being in her lingerie. God, this lingerie that she's wearing is very sexy; and she's so glad that they are currently just taking it easy with each other. Afterwards, Matt smiled as they looked into each other's eyes. "So, are we just going to stay here; or are we going to do something else?" Gabby smirked when Matt asked her that. "Well, I could definitely do some shopping with you. Shopping for our boys." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling at the idea of them shopping for their boys. Afterwards, Gabby put her hand on Matt's cheek and leaned up to kiss him softly. "Let's get comfortable, then we can do some shopping okay?" Gabby smiled when Matt asked her that. "How about we start with the nursery that we need to make in our room?" Matt then thought about that. "Shit, that means that we need to have crying babies in our room in the middle of the night." Gabby just looked at Matt when he said that. "Seriously?"
Matt looked at Gabby when she said 'seriously' in a questioning tone. "What do you mean?" Gabby then proceeded to clarify just want she means by her question, the question that she asked the man who's always wanted to be a father. "Are you really complaining that we're going to have crying babies in the middle of the night? Because that means you're finally a daddy. It's all you've ever wanted, that we've ever wanted in life." Matt thought about that, smiling at the woman of his dreams. "Can't a man make a joke?" Gabby just looked at Matt when he told her that. "Yeah, you were just joking Mr. Casey." Matt laughed when he heard Gabby say that, before putting his hand on her neck and leaning in to kiss her softly. Slipping close to Matt, Gabby put her hand on his chest as they took things nice and slow with each other in their bed this afternoon. "God, I love you so much; and I am so glad that we're currently just doing this." Gabby agreed with Matt.
"Yeah, I'm glad that this is what we're doing right now too. Now, we're going to concentrate on shopping for the boys right?" Gabby smiled when her husband asked her whether they're going to concentrate on shopping, shopping for their boys and the life that they're going to live here in Hawaii. "Now, we're sure that we're having boys right?" Matt nodded as Gabby asked him whether they're sure that they are, in fact going to be having twin boys. "I believe that's exactly what we're going to be having, twin boys." Gabby agreed with her loving husband as he told her that, smirking as they are both very happy with each other; and this truly is really good. "Listen, let's just make sure that we have everything in order; and maybe we can even see what it takes to start a company here in Hawaii." Matt shook his head when he heard Gabby say that. "Not yet, I want to just concentrate on our family right now. That's what we need to do right now, our family first."
Gabby smiled when she heard Matt say that they're going to concentrate on their boys, before they even bother with concentrating on a future business that they want to create; and that sounds absolutely perfect right now.
Climbing back into bed after getting her iPad from the living room, Gabby smiled as she looked at Matt as he laid down in bed. Afterwards, she decided to lay down next to him. "So, how are we going to do this?" Matt was confused when he heard Gabby ask him how they're going to do 'this', this being shopping for their boys. "What are you talking about exactly?" Gabby smiled at Matt when she asked him what she's talking about. "Do you want me in your lap? Am I going to be laying down in bed? Or how are we going to hold each other?" Matt smiled when Gabby asked him how he wants to hold her. "I just want to hold you; I don't care how. I want to hold you and our sons in my arms." Gabby smiled when she heard Matt say that he wants to hold her, and their sons in his arms; that's just something that she loves to hear even more. It's exactly what they both want. They both want to have sons. "Oh god, I just had an idea. Casey, Sons, and Co."
Gabby turned to look at her husband when he said that, giving him her iPad after unlocking it. "No, you're not going to do that; not when you're wife is going to be your co-CEO if you start a company." Matt laughed. "How about first we just look at how to even start a company? Because we can't worry about that, until we even have a company to start." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "Or should we wait to do it until we're parents." Matt took a breath when Gabby asked him whether they should wait until they have kids to start this. "Well, I know that you're going to want to help me; and I know that it might cause stress and fights, so that worries me." Gabby just agreed with Matt, before going to get up so that she can go do something. "Hey, where are you going baby?" Gabby took a breath when her husband asked her that, turning to face her husband. "Sorry, I just had a bunch on my mind." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Hey, come here."
Gabby agreed with Matt. "Listen, can we just enjoy the pregnancy before we start? Because I'm worry that…" Matt agreed with his wife. "We can do it slowly, we can just figure out what we even want to do for a company; because then we need to explore how to do it an everything." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling as she went ahead and joked the man of her dreams in bed once again his afternoon. "You know, I could go for something." Matt looked at Gabby when she said that. "And what might that be?" Matt then smirked, thinking that she was talking about sex once again (which Gabby knew); so, she decided to crawl into bed with him before cuddling up to him. She then laid down on Matt's chest and cuddled up to her husband. Leaning in, Gabby smirked as she kissed him softly. "I could go for a snack." Matt agreed with Gabby when she told him that she could go for a snack. "Well then, maybe I should go get you a snack."
Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling as she looked at her husband. "Can I start some shopping for the babies? Maybe we can jut concentrate on that right now? Concentrate on making sure that we have everything for the babies." Matt smiled when he heard Gabby say that, because that was exactly what he wanted to do. "How about we order some cribs? More specifically, the cribs that they're going to have when the kids are young?" Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling at the man of her dreams as they both just spent some time together. "Just curious, are we going to tell our friends soon that we're wealthy now?" Matt smiled. "I already told Kelly. Uhm, I was thinking of offering to pay for his dad's hospital bills." Gabby smiled when she heard Matt say that he was thinking of paying for Benny's hospital bills, which she thinks is a great idea. "Baby, if the CFD doesn't pay for them…then I think that's a great idea." Matt smiled, nodding.
Matt smiled when he heard Gabby say that, proceeding to walk over to the woman of his dreams. He then leaned over her and put his hand on her neck, proceeding to kiss her softly as they took things nice and slow with each other. "I love you, and I am so glad that we're here together." Gabby smirked as she heard Matt say that, putting her hand on his neck. "So am I baby, so am I. Now, can you just go ahead and get us a snack? Right now, I could go for some yogurt cereal." Yogurt cereal being the short form that they use to describe yogurt with cereal in it, not cereal that tastes like yogurt just to be clear. "Of course I can get that for you baby, I might get myself a bowl too because of how good it is." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling as she was ready to have a nice snack when Matt was back. "I'll wait to shop until after we eat." Matt nodded, proceeding to walk away so that he can go get them some bowls of yogurt cereal.
Matt's POV:
Making my way back into me and Gabby's room shortly after going to get us some yogurt cereal, I smiled as I walked in to see Gabby sitting in bed while watching some TV. More specifically, she's watching the Hallmark Channel. "So, I have a proposal as to what we could talk about." Gabby turned her head, looking at me when I asked her that. "You mean while we watch a movie right?" I nodded, smiling as Gabby asked me whether I meant while we're watching the movie. "Of course baby, that's exactly what I mean." Gabby agreed with me as I said that, before opening the covers once again so that I could get in bed quite easily. "Here you go, take this before I get in." Gabby agreed with me when I asked her that, grabbing her bowl before bringing it close to her. "You put the leftover steak in the fridge right?" I agreed with my girl, smiling when she asked me if I put the leftover steak in the fridge. "Yeah, we can have it for supper if you'd like." Gabby nodded as I asked her whether she'd like to have the leftover steak for supper. "Maybe you can make some rice to go with it?"
I smiled when I heard Gabby tell me that, because that sounded absolutely perfect for supper. "Rice with leftover steak sounds perfect for supper." Gabby agreed with me when I said that, smiling as she looked at me. "So, you okay with me having put the Hallmark Channel on? I know that you aren't the biggest fan of these Christmas movies." I shook my head when Gabby mentioned that I'm not the biggest fan of their Christmas movies. "Baby, I love you; and that's all that matters. If this is what you want to watch, then we're going to watch it." Gabby smiled when I told her that. "I'm glad that the money hasn't changed us. I can still see the personality that I love in you." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that, smiling at my girl. "Hey, that's not something that you're ever going to have to worry about baby; I do not plan on changing who I am just because I'm wealthy. Sure, we live here now; but we can always go back to Chicago anytime you want. It's still our home. I mean, if that's what you want." Gabby smirked as I asked her whether she wants to go back to Chicago.
"We can definitely go back every once and a while, but on commercial in business class. I am never flying in economy again." I laughed when Gabby told me that. "Or we can fly first class." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Maybe while we don't have kids." I smirked. "We just get a private jet then." Gabby looked at me when I said that, laughing a bit. "Well, rent one. I am not going to fly with two kids in economy or business." Gabby thought about it. "Yeah, that sounds horrible." I smiled when Gabby told me that. "We'll figure it out though, just like we're going to figure out this entire life out together." Gabby agreed with me as I told her that we're going to figure it all out together. "You're really going to have to make sure that we take it easy, because I don't want to be different for our friends back home." I took a breath when Gabby mentioned that. "Is that something that worries you? Them thinking that we're all different?"
Gabby took a breath when I asked her that, putting her spoon in her yogurt as she looked at me. "You can be honest with me baby, I promise." She took a breath when I told her that, obviously ready to be honest with me. "Yeah, I'm a bit worried about us changing; not that I don't plan on trying my best to make sure that I don't change, because I want to stay who I am. I don't want to be the person who forgets who she is, or her best friend." Going to take a bite, I was shocked at what I just heard. "Woah, back up. Baby, do you really believe that? Do you really believe that you're going to forget all about Shay someday?" Gabby shrugged as I asked her that, and that just broke my head. I know for a fact that Gabby could never forget about Shay, just like I could never forget about Andy. "Baby, look at me." Gabby then did just that as we both looked at each other; after which I reached out and grabbed her hand, intertwining out fingers at the same time.
"Gabby, you are never going to forget Shay; and I know that, because I'm never going to forget Andy. They will always be with us. They will always follow us, wherever we go. Gabby, Shay is a part of you…and that won't change just because we live here now; that's a fact, and it's something I can already tell you that you have no need to worry about. I know you Gabby, and I know that you will never forget your best friend; because I'm the same way, I'll never forget my best friend." Gabby smiled as I told her that, just looking at me as she stroked my hand with her thumb. "How do you know exactly what I need to hear, right when I need to hear it?" I smiled when Gabby asked me that. "Because I know you better than anybody in the entire world baby, and I know that you need to just take it easy with me. And when you take it easy with me, I know that you can relax and take it easy. You can just calm down right away, and you don't need to think about everything."
Gabby agreed with me as I told her that, smiling as she put her hand on my face before kissing me softly. "I want to kiss you after our snack." I agreed with Gabby, smiling as she told me that; after all, I want to do the same.
