A/n: Life has happened rather unexpectedly in recent months (I can't believe it's almost been a year!), so I took a break from writing fanfiction during that time. I am now back! And I will continue to write from here on out.
"Let's start already!" Ginny was almost bouncing in her seat, too excited to see what happens in the video entitled, "A Winter's Ball." "Do you think we'll get to see people dance? Particularly Harry?" Ron asked Hermione, already snickering at the thought of Harry making a fool of himself on the ballroom floor.
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): How does the bastard, orphan, son of a whore-
"Does he really have to sing this every time I'm introduced? Seriously?" Harry was starting to become a bit ticked off by Tom Riddle calling him a bastard in every other video. 'So far I haven't even done anything to him.'
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): -Go on and on.
"And again, we are reminded just how… interesting our group is," Ron said, laughing.
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): Grow into more of a phenomenon? Watch this obnoxious-
"Sorry, can't help you from here." Charlie shrugged, knowing that Voldemort would probably not need anyone's help anyway.
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): -Arrogant, loudmouth bother, be seated at the right hand of the father.
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): Dumbledore hires Potter right on sight.
"I'm not surprised, Mr. Potter is a favorite of Dumbledore's…" McGonagall whispered to her fellow professors. Snape, for one, was not surprised. He always had known the boy was held in too high of a regard for what he did. He didn't even do anything to save himself or Lil- or his family that night. It was all pure luck on his part.
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): But Potter still wants to fight, not write.
"Harry should really learn to accept what he gets in life, or else the opportunity might pass him the next time around." Cho tried to not let Harry hear what she was saying, instead whispering it to her friends.
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): Now Potter's skill with a quill is undeniable, but what do we have in common?
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): We're reliable with the-
Men Others (Male Ensemble): -Ladies!
"That was NOT where I was expecting this to go," Ginny said, stifling her laughter with many people doing the same. It was funny to see Voldemort talk in such a juvenile manner.
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): There are so many to deflower-
Men Others (Male Ensemble): -Ladies!
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): Looks, proximity to power-
Men Others (Male Ensemble): -Ladies!
"This is just objectifying the women that Harry and Riddle are talking about. This also objectifies women in general, not just the ones in this scene," Tonks said, scoffing and rolling her eyes.
Moody eyed the young Auror with an analyzing look in his eye, 'She really does have a strong personality. And she certainly knows what she believes in. That should prove interesting if she continues a career as an Auror.''
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): They delighted and distracted him, Mrs. Dumbledore named her feral tomcat after him.
" 'Mrs. Dumbledore'? Is Dumbledore married? Are you?" Hermione asked, unaware of this fact. None of the books she read or people she talked to ever mentioned anything about him having a wife. Not even some of his oldest friends.
"Ah, alas, I am not married. At least, not in this universe." Dumbledore had a twinkle in his eye again, which was very unsettling for the students and some of the adults sitting around the room. 'Does he always have to do that?' Blaise thought, inwardly rolling his eyes.
Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): That's true!
Others (Ensemble): 1780!
"That's so long ago…" Seamus said, shocked. It hadn't occurred to him just how long ago this other universe was set in. "It's crazy, the Ministry of Magic would only have been founded 73 years earlier," Lee Jordan told Seamus, also showing shock on his face.
"I wonder how we communicated or just got around back then, it feels like it would be so different from now, being two hundred years ago," Harry told his friends, partially asking Hermione to see if she knew anything about life two hundred years ago.
"Hmm, it's hard to say exactly what life was like, but people still had fun in their own ways. Magic was still around for wizards and witches, but it was the beginning of magic being as regulated as it is now." Hermione informed Harry and Ron, not caring that Ron was zoning out halfway through. "Huh, interesting, I hadn't really thought about what life would be like that long ago."
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): A Winter's Ball. And the Diggory siblings are the envy of all.
"Oh, there we are!" Ginny exclaimed, smiling at the lovely gown she was wearing. Draco and Cedric were both intrigued by what Riddle meant by them being the envy of all.
"It's nice to see you so dressed up, Cedric," His mother said, smiling at him. Cedric smiled back, glad that at least his mother and father were here to support him. It was very weird to be watching himself from a different universe and was slightly exciting to see what his relationships were like with everyone else, particularly his other-universe siblings, Draco and Ginny.
Cedric had never really spoken with either of them much, seeing as they were both in different houses and years, but he was glad that he was so close to his siblings in the other universe.
Amos Diggory looked over at his son, it was weird to have two more children in another universe, but it was ever weirder that they were other people's children. While he had talked to both Mr. Weasley and Mr. Malfoy on multiple occasions, he did not think that he was close enough to them to really be able to apologize in any way for "stealing" their children. Were Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy even real in the other universe?
Tom Riddle (Aaron Burr): Yo, if you can marry a sibling, you're rich, son.
Blaise narrowed his eyes at the screen. There had already been a mention of multiple other people loving Harry, but this was another step. Riddle suggesting that Harry should marry one of the "Diggory siblings" was just fueling his jealousy. Harry and Blaise didn't advertise their relationship, opting to keep their lives more private, but it was at these moments that Blaise wished that more people knew they were dating.
It was infuriating that other people could just marry or fall in love with Harry, and Blaise could do nothing. In this universe, Blaise could just subtly threaten them to leave Harry alone, but Blaise could do nothing about it in the other universe. Instead, he had to watch his boyfriend try and seduce some other person. Blaise was just hoping that out of the three Diggory siblings, Harry wouldn't pursue Draco. That would be the most awkward for them in this universe, seeing as he and Draco were friends.
Harry Potter (Alexander Hamilton): Is it a question of if, Riddle, or which one?
"You should wipe that smug smirk off your face, Harry," Blaise whispered, letting some of his possessiveness show. Harry raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly, "What? Are you jealous, Blaise?" Blaise muttered incoherently, crossing his arms over his chest while snuggling closer to Harry.
Harry Potter, Blaise Zabini, and Tom Riddle (Alexander Hamilton, John Laurens, and Aaron Burr): Hey, hey, hey, hey…
Harry blushed, why did he have to act so weird? I mean, sometimes he acts weird in this universe, but that was only around Blaise and his close friends, never letting himself act like that in front of an entire crowd of onlookers.
Harry Potter, Blaise Zabini, and Tom Riddle (Alexander Hamilton, John Laurens, and Aaron Burr): Hey, hey, hey, hey…
"Okay, the next one we're going to watch is titled 'This One's Mine'," Dumbledore said, immediately getting into the next video.
