Elsa had heard the noise and scream from behind her and she looked up, still sad, to see an ice statue in front of her, that looked horribly familiar. It was Brooklyn.

She had her hands over her mouth in horror, eyes bright with tears, seeing the one she loved that was her guardian now taken over by ice; gone forever.

"Brooklyn!" Elsa wailed, rushing to get in front of him. His face was frozen in a desperate and sad gaze, eyes lifeless now, but it was enough to break her. She traced a hand along his beak and cheek, sniffling as Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf joined nearby. "No, no, don't leave me!" She sniffled, her head on his forehead. Sven moaned sadly when seeing their gargoyle friend frozen solid in death.

Elsa glanced back again at him, giving another sob. "I love you," she whispered, caressing his cheek again before giving him a small kiss on his frozen beak before next hugging Brooklyn and kneeling down. He was so brave, defending her. But now he was gone forever.

Anna stepped forward, a hand on her sister's shoulder, sniffling too. "I'm sorry," she said tearfully before joining the hug. Little did they know that something will soon happen.

Dark. Cold. No life. That was all Brooklyn's spirit could feel trapped in his ice prison of death. He couldn't see or breathe anything, wishing to see the sun again, to feel a soul inside. Something.

But then, he thought he felt a breath of warmth on his face. His heart began to take life again, and a bright light shone around him with a female voice whispering "I love you…"

….

The two sisters kept on hugging their beloved guardian unknowing of a small flash of light on his chest; the ice beginning to melt slowly. Olaf had noticed the ice melting off of the red gargoyle and he gasped softly, getting the two sister's attention.

Elsa stared in shock at the sight of the ice fading away, revealing Brook's beautiful red skin. As it reached his face, he gave a sudden gasp of breath, staggering slightly, and blinking away the blindness of earlier. He was alive again! And the blue stripe on Brooklyn's hair was gone too.

Brooklyn groggily glanced around. "What… what happened?" He asked wearily before being attacked by a hug from Elsa. He yelped slightly before eventually seeing his best friend again, smiling, then hugging her back, enfolding Elsa in his wings too. Then they glanced towards another again. "You sacrificed yourself for me?" Elsa questioned tearfully. Brooklyn flushed a darker red than his skin. "I'd do anything for you. I love you too, Elsa," he said shyly but bravely.

The two eventually leaned in closer, Brook's heart beating wildly, Elsa blushing too, as she allowed Brooklyn to give her a real kiss of true love. This felt unreal to the gargoyle, hardly believing he was kissing a girl he loved at last, as the two shared this moment, Fire and Ice coming together.

Anna squealed a bit from seeing this, hugging Kristoff tight and feeling happy for her sister.

Olaf smiled. "An act of true love will thaw a frozen heart!" He said. Elsa and Brook then broke apart as Elsa had an idea. "Love will thaw. Love, of course!" Brooklyn and Anna stared curiously. "Elsa?" Brook questioned, as she raised her hands. "Love!"

Just like that; the snow began to soar up skywards from the ground, bringing back the warmth of the summer. Already Brooklyn felt the cold of winter fading away, a big smile on his face seeing Elsa finally lifting the snow spell. In just a few minutes the snow was gone after gathered up into a big snowflake, the gang finding themselves standing on a boat that was under the ice.

Brooklyn grinned at her with pride. "Knew you had it in you," he said softly, elbowing Elsa gently, making her giggle. Olaf began to cry as well as melt. "Hands down; this was the best day of my life. And quite possibly the last…" he said. Elsa looked worried. "Oh, Olaf! Hang on little guy." She conjured a flurry cloud above him which restored the snowman so he could live in summer.

Olaf jumped about. "My own personal flurry!" He cheered. Brook chuckled. "You deserved it buddy," he stated, causing Olaf to smile at his friend. A groan was heard then though, causing Brooklyn to turn around to see their nemesis Hans waking up. His eyes glowed in anger. Anna was about to step forward but Brooklyn held his hand up. "No, Anna. He's mine for trying to kill me and Elsa!" He snapped, stalking forward.

Anna looked disappointed but she figured she'd let Brooklyn have the honors after what he'd been through, holding Kristoff's hand. Hans rubbed his chin before seeing a shadow tower over him. He glanced up to see a pissed Brooklyn, whose arms were crossed and wings out, growling and glowing eyes added. But Hans was confused. "Brooklyn? But she froze your heart!"

Brooklyn huffed. "Yeah well I'm perfectly fine. And for your information, you are the most disgusting bastard of a human! The only monster I see is you! Never set foot in this kingdom again or I swear I will be your worst nightmare Prince Hans! And this is for trying to have me and Elsa be murdered for false treason!" He sent a punch at Hans's shin, making the man buckle in pain.

"And this is for hurting Anna's heart!" Brook added in, now grabbing Hans and gliding into the air, making Hans shriek like a woman from the sudden height. Olaf just grinned like a kid at the action before him, knowing the man deserved it. Hans began to beg as he should. "No! Don't drown me! Don't drown me!" He wailed.

Brooklyn growled. "It is more than you deserve, but somebody will come for you since I'm not the killing type like you." He snapped, before eventually tossing Hans into the water, feeling rather satisfied instead of killing him since Elsa probably wouldn't have approved of it. He glided back to the boat hearing cheering from the castle which had Brook feel joy from people cheering a creature like himself defending the kingdom. He wished his clan could see this place.

After he landed on the boat Elsa had wound up hugging and kissing him again. "Oh Brooklyn, that was wonderful!" She praised him, making Brooklyn grin awkwardly. "He will hopefully stay away from us from now on," the gargoyle claimed, kissing Elsa back again. He knew they probably wouldn't be able to have children should they decide to mate but just being with her was enough for him to be happy.

….

Three days later…

The guests of Arendelle were finally able to return to their homes again now that the ocean thawed out. Hans himself was to be sent back to The Southern Kingdom permanently and to be charged with treason towards the Arendelle royals which satisfied Brooklyn enough.

Brooklyn had been thanked by many of the outside guests for helping save the day and was even greeted by that short haired brunette princess named Rapunzel with her husband Eugene from the coronation earlier who were from Corona which seemed like an interesting place. Brooklyn bade them farewell after a light chat and went to see what his friends were up to.

He saw Anna guiding Kristoff to a surprise whose eyes were blind folded, and Olaf enjoying being in summer. He landed next to them as Anna lifted the blindfold off, shocking Kristoff and making Brook chuckle.

"We owe you a sled," she offered, while Sven strutted about with a medal he received. Kristoff still couldn't believe it. "Y-you mean…"

Anna gave an excited shout. "Yes! And it is the latest model," she added. Kristoff shook his head. "No no. I can't accept this," he stated but Anna frowned. "You have to. No returns. No exchanges. The Queen has made you the personal ice master and deliverer!"

Brooklyn raised his invisible brow. "You sure that's a thing?" He asked. Anna shrugged it off. "Oh sure it is! And it even has a cup holder. So… do you like it?" Kristoff then grinned. "Like it? I love it! I could kiss you!" He had twirled Anna around before realizing. "Uh, I mean I would like to. I mean may I? I mean may we? Wait. What?" Anna stopped him by kissing him. "You may," she replied.

The guardian smiled with moistened eyes as the two shared a kiss like he and Elsa did, as said Queen invited everyone to the courtyard of the castle.

He stood next to her in the center. "Are you ready?" Elsa asked to welcome cheers. She stepped her foot on the ground; ice (friendly ice) forming a rink, and making a beautiful display in the middle of summer. After that Brook gave his new girlfriend a hug again, which she returned, as other people began skating.

Anna joined the new couple, slipping slightly. Thanks to his claws Brooklyn didn't slip so easily. "I like the open gates," she stated. Brooklyn nodded in agreement. "And we're never closing them again," Elsa said, forming ice skates for her sister which somewhat surprised the gargoyle. How could it do that?

"Oh Elsa they're beautiful but you know I don't skate—!" She insisted but Elsa dragged her and Brooklyn in who adjusted his feet for trying to skate which he never did. He felt very happy being among those who accepted him even with his gargoyle features but still wondered; will he ever find a way back home to his clan again? But it didn't matter. He was happy, this world was safe and that's what counted.
