Hello Readers: I am truly sorry that I have decided to skip once again; I swore that I was done skipping, and that I was going to cover as much of their anniversary as I possibly couple. However, I was both running out of ideas; and I also didn't have any ideas in between their anniversary and Christmas. So, I decided that I would skip to Christmas; and I hope that you guys are okay with that. If you guys are, then I'm glad that's the case. If you aren't, then I hope you continue to read on and enjoy my dear readers. Thanks again for reading. Now, here's Chapter Eighty-Two.

Chapter Eighty-Two
Christmas-72 Hours

December 22, 2018 - Honolulu Int'l Airport Terminal 2 Arrivals
They just had to catch an early morning flight, a flight that would get them to Hawaii first thing in the morning (Honolulu time). But just how early are we talking about exactly? Well, Matt and Gabby's guests basically had to fly overnight to get here around this time; the current time? 8:30 AM. And that was way too early for the future father to pick his friends up. Yes, his friends. But just which friends is he picking up at the airport this early in the morning? Well, that would be a surprise that only Mr. Casey knew as it was a surprise for Ms. Casey. However, I think that we can spoil the surprise for you, the readers. This Christmas, Matt decided to invite their best friends to join them over Christmas; having definitely thought that it was what they both needed (and especially his best friend), just time to get away and take it easy before they went back to Chicago in two weeks after everything that they went through with his father over the past little while.

However, Kelly and Stella's time in Hawaii will not be all fun and games. Rather, Matt is going to be putting Kelly to work now that they officially know the gender of their twins; they're having twin boys. But the earliest that Matt is going to make Kelly work is tomorrow at the earliest, as Matt is exhausted as he did it again. But what exactly did he do again? He made something for supper last night that he truly enjoyed, however that wasn't the case for Gabby; and she ended up feeling like crap all night. So, she's going to take it easy; but not with him. Rather than take it easy in bed with him today, she's going to take it easy with her best friend Stella Kidd; at the same time, he and Kelly are just going to hang out for a while. He just hopes that his friends didn't book a hotel, because that's not where they are going to stay; especially not when he has a huge home where they can stay for free. In fact, they are going to cancel their hotel if they book one for their stay.

And that's something that he's going to talk to them about right now, as Matt just saw the couple that he's been waiting for walk out of Terminal 2. Whistling at his friends, Matt made sure that the couple knew where to look for him. Turning their heads, Kelly and Stella both smiled when they saw Matt; but Kelly wasn't just smiling at his best friend, rather he was also laughing after he heard Matt whistle as it was a nice way to get their attention. That was, until he saw the car that Matt was leaning against at the moment. Walking over with his girlfriend, Kelly was doing a bit of a double take as he thought he was seeing things. "Is that a Tesla Model X?" Matt snickered a bit when he heard his friend ask him if the car he was leaning against, the car the he recently purchased, was a Tesla Model X; and as that was exactly the type of car that he was leaning against, Matt knew that his friend was a bit jealous over the fact that he had a Tesla Model X. "Oh, just come here man."

Making his way over to his friends this morning, Matt smirked as he proceeded to hug his best friend. "How are you man?" Kelly smiled when Matt asked him how he's doing right now. "Oh, I'm just happy to be here until the New Year. My dad was driving me nuts, and I needed to take a break. He's my sister's problem now." Matt agreed with Kelly when he said that, snickering a bit. "How is he though?" Kelly smiled at him. "He's doing better, hence why he's driving me nuts." Matt agreed with Kelly, smiling at him. "So, I am definitely ready to just sit back and relax." Matt agreed with him, smiling. "Trust me, you will for a couple days." Kelly just looked at his best friend when he said that. "Just a couple days?" Matt smiled. "Well, I need my best friend to help me paint the nursery now that we know the gender." Stella smiled when she heard Matt say that. "Oh, what are you having?" Matt smiled. "Two boys." Stella just laughed, shaking her head. "Of course, you are."

Matt just laughed. "Oh, hush up before I decide to put a cap your spending spree that you're going to do on my checking account while you're here." Stella just laughed when she heard Matt say that, well aware that he can do that. "Oh, I can definitely see that happening." Matt agreed with his wife's best friend when she said that. Afterwards, he smiled as he went to go hug her. "How are you Stella?" Stella smiled as she proceeded to hug her best friend's husband. "Good." Matt just smiled as he leaned back. "I can't tell who you're more excited to see. Me, or my wife?" Stella laughed when Matt said that, just looking at him. "Oh, I'm happy to see the both of you. How are you?"" Matt smiled. "Oh great. Just been having to spend the past couple weeks dealing with lawyers, financial advisors; oh, and a sick wife who's stuck in bed right now." Stella sighed when she heard Matt say that, hating that her best friend is still stuck in bed during her pregnancy.

"I'm sorry that this isn't turning out how you guys are hoping that it would've turned out." Matt smiled. "It's okay though. I'm just glad that she's resting right now, and that I'm not the only one that can take care of her now." Stella looked at him when she said that. "Oh, hell no, I'm not taking charge of that. You're the dad." Matt groaned as he looked at Stella. "First of all, I am not just talking about you; I'm also talking about my mother-in-law who's been here for a few days. But I really need your help because I need a break from our Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie Marathon." Stella got nervous when she heard Matt say that, wondering how bad it's gotten. "How bad is it?" Matt sighed. "I haven't wanted a Blackhawks game in 3 weeks." Stella then understood why he needs her to take care of Gabby for a while, as he has to be sick. "Let me guess, you don't want to complain and make her mad?" Matt nodded when he heard Stella ask if that question.

"I already don't get sex. I don't want to loose a chance to take a bath with her every night." Stella smiled. "Ah, that's sweet. You take a bath together." Matt agreed with Stella. "I got her those bath bombs for our anniversary, and she's gotten addicted to them; so, she's now using them in every bath that she's taking." Stella agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at him. "Ok, I can definitely take care of her for a while." Matt smiled at her. "Plus, you need to do stuff with Gabby; heaven knows that she'd rather do it with her best friend rather than me." Stella was a bit confused when Matt said that. "And what might that be?" Matt smiled. "She wants to do baby shopping, and work on her the baby shower registry; and she wants her best friend to help her, rather than her husband." Stella agreed with Matt when he said that. "Well then, I love that idea." Matt agreed with Stella, proceeding to grab her hand before turning to look at Kelly.

"Ok. Now, grab your girlfriend's bag Kelly and let's get you guys back to my place." Both Kelly and Stella agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at their friend. "Stella, get in the front." Kelly was not happy when he heard Matt say that. "Uhm, why does she get the front seat?" Matt laughed. "Turn around." Kelly just looked at his best friend when he said that, before just doing as he was told. "Yeah, you're already sweaty Kelly. I am not letting you sit in Gabby's seat." Kelly turned to look at Matt when he said that, confused. "Wait, isn't this her car?" Matt shook his head. "No, this is my Tesla. I got the Model X, she got the Model Y for Christmas." Stella nodded when she heard Matt say that, however Kelly was less amused over the fact that Matt was (indirectly) rubbing the fact that he's now wealthy in their faces. "Seriously, do you need to rub it in our faces?" Matt just looked at his best friend when he said that. "Uhm, did you enjoy your First Class seats Kelly?"

Kelly was both confused, and a bit shocked that Matt knew that they flew First Class from Chicago to Honolulu. "Okay, how did you know that we flew First Class?" Matt smiled. "I may have called the airline and bumped you up to First Class both ways." Kelly was shocked. "And so far, I've only spent $2 million so far, so consider it your Christmas gift." Stella smiled but was also absolutely shocked. "Wow, how much did you get again?" Matt smiled. "Apparently, they found another policy." Stella was a bit confused when she heard Matt say that, thinking that he was done. "Another life insurance policy?" Matt agreed with her. "Another $20 million life insurance policy. In total, my dad had $25 million in life insurance, and my grandparents were wealthy apparently." Kelly was just shocked when he heard Matt say that. "Damn, that's crazy shit." Matt agreed with his best friend when he said that, well aware that all of this is overwhelming and quite crazy.

"I know right? But listen, this is not what we need to do right now; nor is it what we're here to do right now. Right now, we're not talking about my recent $25.8 million inheritance; oh, and a home in Hawaii. Yes, we inherited our home and didn't buy it. So, just shut up and relax. But just know that you guys are always welcome here, and that you just need to call and you can come and visit." Kelly agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at him. "Well, we will definitely take you up on your offer in the future." Matt agreed with his best friend when he said that, smiling at him. "Now listen, I don't know about you guys; but I'm exhausted and need to go home." Stella was not happy when she heard Matt say that, as they worked two days ago. "You're exhausted! We just worked two days ago." Matt sighed, turning to look at his wife's best friend; well aware of the fact that she was not happy that he was complaining over the fact that he was tired.

"Gabby was going to come because she thought it was my sister, and we were going to do the surprise here; but she had another rough night last night, and that means that we're both exhausted. I mean, I do wake up to help my wife in the middle of the night." Stella sighed when she heard Matt say that, before agreeing with him as that made completely sense. "I'm sorry Matt, but we can always go to a…" Matt stopped her before she even tried to tell him that they could go to a hotel, because that was not going to happen. "My head would be on a pitchfork if I let you guys stay in a hotel." Kelly laughed. "More like your sex life will be put on hold." Turning his head, Matt looked at his best friend. "My mother-in-law came 3 days early. She was supposed to fly in on the same flight as you." Kelly laughed a bit when he heard Matt say that, well aware of just what he's trying to say. "Antonio comes tomorrow, and he's staying at a hotel; then my sister flies in on December 26th after my niece celebrates with her dad, and she's staying in a 5-start beachfront resort." Kelly looked at Matt when he said that, unaware that his sister also inherited some money. "Wait, did she inher…" Matt nodded.

"She inherited the same amount as me. So, we're a wealthy family now. By the way, how did you guys get out of shift today?" Kelly sighed, which led to Matt just knowing how they got out of shift today. "No need to explain, I already know." Kelly agreed with his best friend when he said that, smiling as he was glad that he didn't have to explain it. "How about we all get in the car? We can talk on the way back to your place?" Matt agreed with his best friend, before they all got into the Tesla this morning so that they can start their journey back to his and Gabby's home; oh, and so that they can have a conversation about the other surprise that Matt has for Gabby over Christmas.

Matt's POV:
As I pulled away from the airport this morning, I smiled due to the fact that I now had my best friend and his girlfriend in my car. "Ok, so I just want to let you guys know that Gabby doesn't know about this." Kelly and Stella both agreed when Matt say that, glad that was the case. "So, this is a surprise for her?" I nodded. "So, you better expect for a big hug from her. Now, just remember that she does need to relax and take it easy. Can you make sure that's the case?" Stella agreed with me when I asked her that. "Now, as far as Gabby knows; I went to get my sister, so she didn't know you're coming." Kelly agreed with me when I said that. "So, you lied to your wife three days before Christmas?" Stella shook her head. "That's not a good idea Matt." I just looked at Stella. "I can always bump you down to Business." Kelly was a bit confused when I said that. "Don't you mean economy?" I shook my head. "Don't tempt me, but I'm not THAT evil." Stella laughed, smiling at me.

"By the way, did you bring your books Stella?" Stella was confused. "I did, but why did you want me to bring the books I need to study for my lieutenant's exam?" Turning out of the airport, I smiled before deciding to throw a bit of shade onto Kelly. "Because I'm going to do what your boyfriend hasn't done yet, and I'm going to make sure that you know what to concentrate on; and in what order." Stella looked at me when I said that, obviously unaware of the fact that I knew that Kelly hasn't been helping her. "How did you know that I needed that?" I just laughed. "Do I have to remind you that your best friend, just so happens to also be my wife?" Stella agreed with me when I said that, smiling at me. "Well, I am going to have to thank her for talking to you about tha t." I nodded when she told me that. "And I am also going to talk to your boyfriend about that. Kelly, don't you dare think that you can get out of these conversations." Kelly just looked at me.

"And why not? Because last time I checked, you're my best friend." I just looked at him in my rear-view mirror. "I have a list of conversations that I need to have with you, and they it was given to me by my wife. If I do not have those conversations with you, then I am going to be in trouble with her." Kelly agreed with me when I said that, well aware that was the case. "Ok, I promise that we'll talk." I laughed. "Oh, you weren't going to escape it." Stella agreed with me when I said that, well aware that was going to be the case. "How's she doing by the way? Is Gabby used to the weather here?" I smiled when Stella asked me how Gabby is, and whether she's used to the weather here. "She's doing good, and she's used to it; but she's not used to it in the way I am." Kelly was a bit confused when I said that. "Okay, what does that mean?" I shook my head. "Kelly, she's pregnant and can overheat easier than me and you." Stella agreed with me, taking a breath.

"Let me guess, that worries you a lot?" I nodded, agreeing with Stella when she asked me if it worries me a lot. "Yeah, it does. And that's why I want you to make sure that she stays hydrated whenever you're hanging out with her. I always try and make sure that she drinks 2-3 litres of water per day." Stella agreed with me as I told her that. "I got it Matt." I smiled when she told me that, and I was about to say something else when I saw that Gabby was currently calling me. "C'mon, now!" Kelly looked at me when I said that. "Can't you just ignore it?" Looking at him in the mirror, I gave him a bit of side ye. "Yeah, because I can just ignore a call from my PREGNANT wife. Smart move right? Just try and stay quiet." I then went to answer the call I was getting from my beautiful wife. "Hi babe." Gabby then spoke to me, a little irritated. "Where are you? I told you that I wanted some chocolate chip pancakes when I woke up this morning! Where are they babe?"

Unfortunately, Kelly couldn't help but laugh when she said that; and that just make me shake my head. I then went ahead and reclined my seat more against his legs. "HEY!" Gabby then caught on that somebody might be in the car with me. "Baby, is somebody in the car with you?" I then tried to spin. "I just went to pick somebody up." Gabby just spoke to me when I said that. "Baby, my mom and brother are already here. His kids are flying here with your sister, and they don't come until the 26th. Who else is here other than...Girl, did you really almost let my husband LIE to me that you aren't here with Kelly? By the way baby, Stella better be in the front!" I just shook my head when Gabby said that. "Seriously, is it THAT obvious that it's them?" Gabby laughed. "Baby, I just tried to call Stella and she didn't answer my call." Stella smiled. "Sorry girl, we had to keep the secret; and OF COURSE, I'm in the front girl!" I agreed with Stella when she said that, smiling.

"Yeah, because I'm going to let my sweaty friend sit in your seat in my Tesla Model X." Kelly then went to speak up. "HEY!" I just looked at Kelly in the rear-view mirror. "You want me to take you to the hotel Antonio is staying at? And he and Stella can stay at my place with me and Gabby?" Kelly gulped when I said that. "Nope." I agreed with him. "Then shut up. Remember, I paid for your FIRST-CLASS SEATS!" Gabby laughed. "So, you flew them here first class? God, I love you baby!" I agreed with Gabby when she told me that, before smirking. "I'll collect on that later tonight then." Gabby just laughed. "Yeah, when? When I'm not feeling sick? Last time I checked, I need to rest while we cook. By the way, my mom just gave me a list of ingredients that she needs to cook our Christmas meal. You want to go out today or tomorrow?" I sighed. "Gabby, I'd rather go tomorrow so that I can spend some time with Kelly; and I want to be there because you're sick."

I then took a breath, already knowing what Gabby is going to say. "And don't say anything about how Stella and your mom going to be there, as I am your husband and the father of those twins; therefore, I am going to be there to take care of you. And that's the end of this conversation." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that, well aware that she's not to argue with me when it comes to make taking care of her when she isn't feeling good; especially when she's not feeling good while she's pregnant with our twins. "Right, sorry baby." I sighed when Gabby said that. "There's no need to apologize baby, just take a breath and take it easy. I promise that it's okay, and we're over it. Now, I know that you're going to want to take a shower; but you need to at least eat first okay Gabby? It'll be a while before I can make you the pancakes, so I already put a bowl of fruits that I put in there for me? Remember, the doctor did say that you need to stay hydrated and eat more baby."

I then took a breath. "It's for the sake of the babies, and you also need to eat healthier." Gabby agreed with me as I told her that. "Of course baby, I promise that I'll eat that bowl of fruit for me that you put in the fridge." Stella turned to look at me as I said that. "You put a fridge in your room?" Gabby agreed with her. "Yeah, he did. Where do you think the bottles of milk are going to go when the twins are born? But that's not the only reason that he does it, it's also because he's lazy. He cooks meals ahead of time, and then he freezes them. After which, he heats them up in the microwave that we have here in our room." I agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Hey, we had it! Why not use the spare stuff that we have from out place in Chicago?" Gabby then realized that. "Right, these are our appliances from Chicago! I knew that I recognized them from somewhere." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that, unable to resist letting out a smile from my lips this morning.

"Listen baby, I know that you love talking to me and Stella. But right now, you need to eat; and then you need to get ready for them to arrive. I know that you're going to want to see them as soon as possible, so that means that you're going to want to be downstairs when they get to our place. So, we're going to let you go; and then, we'll see you when we get there." Gabby agreed with me as I said that. "Right, of course." I agreed with Gabby, smiling once again. "I love you my babies." Gabby laughed. "We love you too." I then went to hang up the call, smiling as I continued to drive home. At the same time, Kelly spoke up as he was a bit confused as what I just said to Gabby at the end. "Okay, we love you too? Who else is there?" I shook my head when he said that, snickering as Kelly didn't really understand. "Her, and the twins." Stella smiled when I said that. "God, you guys really are so adorable. I have missed you guys so much." I smiled and agreed.

"We've missed you guys too, but we haven't missed the snow. I swear, I love surfing every day; and I especially love being able to wear flip flops every day. It's so comfortable." Kelly laughed when I said that, obviously not believing that I wear flip flops every day. "Do you really wear flip flops ever day?" I nodded. "Even in the house. It's very helpful when your wife is pregnant, because you're always in bed. I don't like walking around the house barefoot unless it's the middle of the night as I am not that comfortable doing that." Stella agreed with me when I said that. "By the way, no boxers around the house." I agreed with her. "I promise during the day, I'll behave when it comes to wear I wear. However, that means that your boyfriend has to do the same. I don't want my pregnant wife to be seeing that shirtless man around her all the time." Kelly laughed. "Hey, at least I work out." I laughed when Kelly said that, shaking my head as he insinuated that I didn't work out.

"Dude, I got surfing all the time; I love on a beach. Literally, I have beach access right from my home. It's absolutely gorgeous. Oh, and the pickup is perfect for surfing." Stella looked at me when I said that. "You have a pickup AND two Teslas?" I agreed with her. "Yeah, I have a pickup for work; and then I have a Tesla for driving around. It's really nice, because they pay you to have a Tesla, and I just bought it outright. It's all perfect." Stella agreed with me as I said that. "I can see why you guys like your life here so much." I agreed with her, smiling as she told me that. "Me and Gabby are really happy here. I promise you guys that." Kelly agreed with me. "Doesn't mean that we don't miss you guys at the firehouse. You ever coming back?" I just laughed when he asked me if I'm ever coming back to the firehouse. "Yeah, not when me and Gabby have plans to start a business." Kelly was shocked. "Really?" I agreed with him when he asked me if that was true.

"Another time, okay? Right now, we need to get back to my place so that I can feed my wife." Stella agreed with me as I mentioned that. "Then let's do just that."
