New Frozen chapter everybody! Glad to finally release it as well as Elsa exploring Manhattan!
Bronx woofed in joy seeing his red master again after so long, rushing over to tackle and give him kisses, Brooklyn laughing out loud, feeling relieved to see the gar dog.
Lexington and Broadway followed suit, Broadway pulling him to his feet gently and giving him a hug, Lex hugging as well. Brooklyn sighed from the hugs that came from his brothers after so long, nuzzling into them while Goliath, Hudson, and Angela watched, Angela's tears falling. Though it had only been 6 months but 3 years on Arendelle, Angela had terribly missed him being around.
Soon Brooklyn laughed even further. "Alright, alright! I'm happy to see you all but please let me breathe!" He chuckled, the others getting off of him. "Sorry bro."
Elsa herself got to her feet after entering the portal, and her eyes rounded when finally seeing Brooklyn's clan for the first time. There were at least 6 of them there in all along with a couple humans there.
Lexington was the first to notice another female human wearing a pure white snow ice dress, and his eyes widened. Who did Brooklyn meet after touching that snowflake?
"Whoa, Brook, w-who is that?" He asked, his ears lowered at how graceful looking the woman was. Brooklyn noted Lexington looking at his wife, and he took her hand.
"I-I know I have a lot of explaining to do. But everyone, meet Elsa. I had been with her in Arendelle for two years since touching the snowflake." He introduced shyly. Goliath's eyes were full of disbelief from his Second's claim since here it was only 3 months.
"Two years? Bro, you were gone for two months!" Broadway exclaimed, holding his own mate's hand.
Brooklyn blinked, looking at Elsa. He figured the time differences from here and Arendelle were pretty different. But he was glad they all looked pretty much the same since he left. "And… Elsa is… my new wife now." Brooklyn claimed with a blush, grinning at her.
The clan were even more startled at the fact that Brooklyn had managed to find love with a human while gone and from another world. Elsa waved to everyone. "I'm glad to meet you all. Brooklyn told me all about you."
Angela was happy that there would be another female around but a human being married to Brooklyn would take some getting used to like Elisa and Goliath. She came up to Elsa holding out her hand. "I'm looking forward into getting to know you. But, where did you come from? And how did you find Brooklyn?"
The couple glanced at one another. "Well… we found each other in a more poetic sense." Brooklyn said, tail swishing. "She saved me when I entered into her world when Elsa and Anna were still young. The place I had been to was called Arendelle."
Goliath's eyes widened. Was that really a real country? Or did Brooklyn somehow travel through time with that strange snowflake? "How did nobody smash you in your stone sleep?" He pondered in curiosity but also fear.
Brooklyn inside didn't know how to say this. "Something else I am getting to. I… didn't turn to stone during the day. I was flesh both day and night for three to four years." He said, now feeling like he needed that solar energy in his stone skin after everything.
The whole clan gasped at that. Lex himself had never heard of a gargoyle who was free during the day except Demona but she turned human. "What was the sun like?" Lexington questioned, eager to know after only seeing it on tv.
The crimson gargoyle grinned at his brother. "Quite warm, and it lights up things better than the moon or city lights ever could bro. But now that I'm home, I'll miss seeing it."
Hudson took his hand gently. "Well, ya really look like you need the rejuvenation laddie. But what else went on?" He questioned. Brooklyn knew then he had to tell them about his new powers.
"Uh, well, it is this…" He raised his wings, taking to the air quite easily like a dragon, the wind power helping him up. Elisa's eyes widened from seeing that, for the gargoyles could never ever glide in the castle. "How did you do that?" She gasped in disbelief.
Elsa decided she could explain. "He gained wind powers when we visited an enchanted forest. And I have… ice powers." She created a snowball with her own magic, Broadway's jaw falling open. They never figured their own Brooklyn would get wind magic, but fall for someone who had magic too.
Owen had turned up at that moment, rather curious about this development. "I see that the newcomer is magical. Is she a child of Oberon by any chance?" He changed into Puck, Elsa quickly standing near Brooklyn, glaring at him.
"Elsa has no idea who Oberon is Puck, and I would know already if she is. She just happens to have ice magic." Brooklyn said angrily, putting a supportive wing around his wife. Puck bowed his head. He had just now sensed no connection. "My apologies, ma'am. I get a bit eccentric sometimes."
Elsa inclined in return. "It is alright." She turned to the others. "I am eager to see what Brooklyn's original home has in store for me, if I'm welcome. And have your blessing Goliath." Brooklyn had before told her the names of his clan members when first meeting her.
Goliath smiled down at her, seeing the begging look in his second's eyes. "I have no desire to turn you away young Elsa. If Brooklyn sees you to be the right person for his mate, then you are an honorary member. You both have my blessing."
Brooklyn sighed in relief, giving Elsa another gentle kiss on her cheek which she returned, making Lex roll his eyes but smile. He was the only single male but hoped to one day find a girl who liked electronics just as much as he did.
Hudson looked at the horizon, seeing the sun. "We will soon have to turn to stone. Elisa, could you find a place for Elsa to stay?" He asked her. The detective nodded after Elsa hugged her mate one more time.
"Have a good day's sleep, my love." She said gently, Brooklyn stroking her hair, nodding, going out to join the others, happy he can now rest at home but inside, Brooklyn felt something inside nagging him. He had to eventually tell Elsa what he almost did in joining Demona and harming his own leader, sadness pricking him, hoping after everything Elsa wouldn't reject him.
Elisa guided Elsa into the best looking suite at the castle, Elsa smiling at the sight of the bed before her. She saw some clothes that Elisa had for her. "If you're going to be in New York, you would have to dress like one. Others here probably would wonder why you dress like that." She said, handing over the New York styled dress, shirt, and even pants for whenever she flew with Brooklyn. Elsa accepted them though under one condition that her dress can be worn whenever she and Brooklyn have alone time together.
The former queen soon heard the stone crackling from outside, signaling that the gargoyles had turned to stone. She wanted to see what Brooklyn looked like as a statue. After changing out of her dress and into the New York clothes, Elsa ventured out into the parapets, her eyes widening at the scene at seeing all 7 gargoyles now turned to stone.
Elsa spotted her husband near Hudson, striking a pose that made him look fierce but in a protective manner. She smiled lovingly, putting a hand on his stone one. At least Brooklyn will get the energy he needed after ages of not being able to, looking at the sun coming up. But she would miss being in the sunshine together with Brooklyn.
She then decided to go back inside and explore, soon coming across Alex's room and seeing the little boy playing with the fay man she saw before, her eyes narrowed. Puck looked up at the ice woman before him. "Oh, hello miss. Me and Alex are just doing a little magic training."
Alex turned, cooing at the sight of her. "So he has magic capabilities as well?" Elsa wondered, kneeling down before the child, displaying some of her not too dangerous ice magic before him which made Alex giggle, loving the ice formations.
Puck nodded. "He is the son of Fox, who is the daughter of the Fair Folk queen Titania. They rule the Third Race of creatures like me, the gargoyles, and anybody else with magic. But you however are not one of them."
Elsa looked away. "I was just born with these powers, but my mother came from the Northuldra Tribe back in my world. They had no magic but lived in harmony with the Elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, which now inhabits Brooklyn."
Puck was now listening intently. "How amazing, that a gargoyle can harness an Elemental Power now. I would have to see more of his wind powers when he is awake. But he shan't show them to the modern people of this time. They would think of him as a gargoyle warlock, and you a witch."
"But I'm no witch," Elsa argued back, her hands balled, hating whenever people called her either that or a monster. But she supposed the gargoyles lived being called monster every day of their lives.
The fay man however wasn't done, for he sensed that Elsa didn't know Brooklyn's backstory completely yet. A little grin came along. Even if he was a different person than he was before, it hadn't stopped him to cause a little mischief once in a while. "I suppose you aren't. But… has your beloved mate really told you everything about himself? All of his back story?"
It made Elsa tense up, wondering then if her love actually had, turning to glare at Puck before turning to walk off. She didn't want to talk to him any further, going outside once more to wait for the clan to wake up. She shook off those words that Puck had said, wanting to think of only the happy things that Brooklyn's old her before.
The clan all yawned and stretched once the sun had settled, Brooklyn stretching out his arms, feeling so good after that solar recharge, turning around and seeing his mate there smiling at him.
"Hey, my love," Brook greeted, jumping off of his perch, eyeing her New York attire with admiration. "You look beautiful with those clothes." He said, stroking her hair. Elsa gave Brooklyn a hug at that moment, the rest of the clan watching with smiles, happy for Brooklyn to have a mate.
Goliath then had a suggestion. "Perhaps you two can give Elsa a tour of the city. She would have to know what city life is like here in New York."
Elsa's eyes brightened. Of course she would want to see all of New York! "That would be wonderful." She exclaimed, but in her head, she kind of did want to find a time and place to ask Brooklyn some questions not in ear shot of the clan.
Brooklyn then leapt onto the parapets again, gesturing his hand towards her. "Come on, let's not waste any light," He invited. Elsa flushed, taking her lover's hand, who pulled her onto his back, feeling the wind on her hair.
Brook raised his wings, letting the wind's power flow through his veins. "You ready?" Elsa held onto Brooklyn, who took off into the night, Elsa wondering what lay in wait for her out in the big city.
Even more adventures are to come for the married couple! And will Brooklyn finally reveal some of his dark past to Elsa?
