Hi Readers: Welcome to New Year's Eve 2019. I hope that you guys are okay with this, but I have decided to skip to this day as I did not feel like writing about Christmas. I was just not in the mood, nor did I feel like living Christmas again when it was just a month and a half ago. Rather, I want to concentrate on something else that's a bit more interesting for me. And what might those be? Those are my New Year's Eve Chapters. And that's where we're starting today. Chapter One Hundred and One: Ringing in 2019
Part One: Something Sexy, Yet Comfortable
New Year's Eve 2019 – 5:30 PM
Her husband told her to dress in something sexy, yet comfortable; because that's something you can find very easily in a pregnant woman's closet. So, instead of wearing a dress this evening; Gabby decided to wear a nice blouse (with a lacy Victoria's Secret bra), some skinny jeans, and some nice wedges. However, she was also going to be bringing some flats in the car just in case she needs to change her footwear in the middle of the evening; after all, she was not going to be bringing a big purse. Rather, she was just bringing a clutch purse to hold her identification, driver's license and credit cards. And let's just say that the clutch really put the outfit that she was wearing together, as she thought that she looked hot. But not TOO hot as she didn't want to turn her husband on too much. The reason? She already made it clear that she's taking it easy tonight, rather than having sex with her loving husband; anyways, he already had her a bunch since Christmas.
So, she thinks that he's going to be okay with what she's wearing this evening. But little did Gabby know, was that her husband was not going to be the first one to lay their eyes on her this evening; rather, that was going to be her best friend. Looking at her, Stella smiled. "Wow. Seems like we had the same idea when it came to what to wear." Turning around to look at her friend, Gabby smiled as she looked at her as she wore basically the same clothes as her. "Okay, be honest with me. Should I do up the button up here? Or is it okay. I don't want to look like a slut." Stella laughed when she said that, shaking her head. "Girl, you can never look like a slut. You're a HOT mama-to-be." Gabby smirked. "I was thinking more professional Deputy CEO and future mother." Stella smirked when she said that. "Well, that's definitely what you like tonight. Now, what do you need from me?" Gabby was a bit confused when she heard Stella ask her that. "Pardon me?"
It seemed that both the future mother, and her best friend were a bit misinformed about what the reason for which Stella was up here in the first place; both of the women thinking that they were just here by coincidence. "No, I didn't call for you. If anything, I should be calling for my husband…and asking him why it's already 5:30 and we haven't left on our date; that's because I'm starting to rethink whether I'm being a bit too evil when it comes to the lingerie. I was thinking to go ahead with giving him a bit of something, but not if we stay out too late." Stella agreed with her best friend when she said that. "So, just curious; are you happy that you're going out? Or would you rather not go out tonight?" Gabby snickered a bit when she heard her best friend asked her that. "Oh, I'm going out; I want some alone time with my husband." That's when the wife heard her loving husband come into their bedroom, looking at just what his wife was wearing. "Wow."
Turning her head to look at her husband, Gabby smiled as she looked at her husband and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "I guess that you like what you see." Matt nodded as Gabby asked him whether he likes what he sees on her. "Of course, I love what I see baby. You look incredible, and I just love the sight of this outfit that you're wearing right now." Smiling as Matt told her that, Gabby smiled as she decided to turn and look at her best friend; after all, her husband is here…and she would like to be alone with him. Therefore, she's trying to give her the message that she'd like to be alone with her husband at the moment. Finally getting that message, Stella smiled. "Sorry girl, I'll be out of here right now." Gabby smiled, agreeing with her best friend. "Maybe you can find your boyfriend and figure out what you guys can do tonight? Get him to take you out on a date too." Matt then proceeded to walk up to his beautiful wife this evening.
God, he loves this woman more than anything in the entire world; and he's so glad that they are here together, about to go out on a nice date. Putting his hands on Gabby's stomach, Matt smiled as he leaned in and proceeded to kiss her softly while cuddling up to her. Putting her hands on Matt's arms, Gabby smiled as she took things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world.. "Actually, that's something that me and Kelly need to talk to you about." Wrapping his arm around Gabby, Matt smirked as he got really close to her and then whispered in her ear. "You look absolutely gorgeous in this." Gabby agreed with Matt, proceeding to whisper in his ear. "Are you sure that you didn't want me in a dress?" Matt shook his head when Gabby asked him whether he wanted her in a dress for their date this evening.
"Hey, of course not baby. I want you to be comfortable, and that's all that matters to me. Well that, and…" Matt then got close to his beautiful wife, whispering to her. "…and me getting a chance to take it off later before we kiss each other while we take things slow, and ring in the New Year together in bed." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling as they both held each other close. "But listen, there's actually something that me and Kelly need to talk to you guys about?" Gabby then looked at her loving husband. "Let me guess, you want to drink tonight? Well, that's fine; Stella will just have to promise me to stay sober tonight, so that we can hang out while you guys get sober later. She'll stay sober with me tonight, right girl?" That's when Kelly walked into Matt and Gabby's room. "I think that we can make that work. The guys can drink together, while the girls stay sober together at the bar." Gabby was confused as she turned to look at her husband.
"What's going on baby?" Gabby then turned to look at Kelly. "By the way, looking quite dapper tonight Kelly." Kelly agreed with her when she said that, smiling as he walked over to Stella and then wrapped his arm around his girlfriend as she wore something comfortable; he then went ahead and kissed her cheek, smiling as he looked at her. "Me and Matt actually are here to talk to you girls about something." Gabby then turned to look at her husband. "Oh, are you now?" Matt smiled when Gabby asked him that. "Well, here's the thing. Me and Kelly made a reservation for four tonight, at a bar." Gabby then looked at her husband when he said that, just glaring at him as he told her that he made a reservation at a bar. "Baby, you made a reservation at a bar? I'm pregnant." Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, smiling at her as he leaned in and kissed her softly. "Yes, and I am well aware of the fact that you're pregnant; because I can't wait to meet our kids."
Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that. "Same here. Now, the date." Kelly then proceeded to continue with what Matt said. "Tonight, we're all going out. Me and Matt found a nice club and made a reservation for our first double date. Dinner and dancing." Gabby was a bit shocked when she heard Kelly say that they are going on a double date, a date that involves dinner AND dancing. "Baby, did Kelly just say that we're going dancing?" Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she asked him that, before proceeding to kiss the side of her head. "What do you think of that idea?" Gabby smiled when Matt asked her what she thought of the idea of the four of them; her, Matt, Kelly, and Stella (their best friends) all going on a double date at a bar where they can eat and dance this New Year's Eve as they ring in 2019. And that's just something that she really likes the idea of, the idea of the four of them going out; go out to a nice dinner together, followed by dancing.
They can just go out together, and have fun with each other as they ring in the New Year; which is definitely something that she didn't expect her husband to propose them do tonight. However, Matt didn't want to make his wife feel pressured to do it. "I mean, only if you're up for it. If you aren't up for it, then we can do something else that you might enjoy more; something that might be easier on you while you're pregnant, because that's always going to be my priority." Gabby smiled when Matt told her that, but she really wants to go dancing. "I actually really like the idea of us going on a double date, with our best friends where we can go have fun; oh, and we can enjoy each other while dancing." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling as he left a kiss on the side of her head. He then turned his head and looked at Kelly and Stella. "How about you guys give me a minute Kelly and Stella?" Kelly agreed with his best friend when he said that.
"Hey Matt, how about you give me the…" Matt then went to shut down the idea that Kelly had, which was him driving his Tesla to the bar they're going do. "Kelly don't even think about asking that; I'm driving the Tesla. Do you really think that I would let you drive, when my wife is pregnant with our twins?" Kelly just thought about what his best friend asked him, realizing that he would never let him do that; especially when Gabby is pregnant with their twins. "Yeah, that doesn't make a lot of sense." Matt just laughed when he heard Kelly say that, smiling at his best friend. "Kelly, how about you and Stella go downstairs now? I would really like to have a moment alone with my wife." Kelly agreed with Matt, before proceeding to grab Stella's hand. Intertwining their fingers, Kelly smiled as he led Stella out of their room so that they can go downstairs ahead of them all going out on their double date; the double date that was going to be a lot of fun in Gabby's opinion.
However, before Matt and Gabby decided to go downstairs; he decided to turn and face Gabby, as he had to speak to her after all. He just needs to make something clear to her, that she's his priority; and that there's nothing more important to him that her health and well being. If she needs to leave sooner than expected, than they can do just that. She's his wife, and she's also the love of his life; and she needs to know that he will never put their friends over her. Just getting close to his girl, Matt smirked as he wrapped his arms around her and held her close (well, as close as he could) to his chest this evening. Looking at his girl as they held each other close, Matt smiled as he felt Gabby wrap her arms around his neck before kissing him softly. "So, listen, I want you to remember something tonight okay?" Gabby agreed with her loving husband when he told her that. "What's that baby?" Matt smiled as he proceeded to move his hands to her stomach.
"Just like I told Kelly, you're pregnant." Gabby smiled as Matt told her that, well aware of the fact that she's currently pregnant with their sons. "Baby, I know that we're pregnant with the twins; you have no need to remind me of that, every day." Matt smiled when Gabby told him that, loving it when she says that 'they're' pregnant with the twins. "What I am just trying to say is that…I don't want you to feel obligated like you need to stay out longer than you feel up for it. If you want to come home at any time, then we will come home; and I will gladly tell Kelly that he and Stella either need to take a taxi back, or they need to leave early with us. My main priority is you and the twins, and that will be the case for the rest of my life." Gabby smiled as she heard her loving husband tell her that, proceeding to step close to him while she ran her hands down his arms. She then leaned in and proceeded to kiss her loving husband nice and slowly, which was perfect.
Moving his hands to Gabby's back, Matt smirked as they both took things nice and slow with each other this evening. "God, I love you so much." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, smirking as she was ready to just have a great night with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world; and their best friends. "I'm happy that we're going out." Matt agreed with Gabby when she told him that, smiling at his wife while he pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. Stepping close to her, Matt smiled as he gave her a hug and just held her close. "Listen, I know that this goes without saying. But can you promise me that you take it easy, and just relax tonight; maybe don't dance unless I'm with you? I mean, I trust Stella explicitly with you but…" Putting her hand on Matt's cheek, Gabby smiled as he asked her that; she then leaned in and proceeded to kiss him softly. "Baby, I understand okay. Take a breath and just look at me." Matt agreed.
Grabbing his wife's hand, Matt smiled as he intertwined their fingers. "I understand that you're worried, and I understand that you're going to be worried all night; so, if you need me to do something to make you calm down…then I will do that." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling at her. "Now listen, let's have fun and stay out a bit later. We can do that, because we have no rush to come home; and I want to enjoy this, because this is our last time being able to stay out this late for two years." Matt laughed when he heard Gabby tell her that, smiling at her. "But it's for a good reason though…as it's because we're going to have two beautiful babies next year." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, just smiling as she proceeded to hug her husband. Wrapping his arms around her, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and started to way with her; as that was exactly what Gabby wanted him to do with her at the moment.
"I love you baby." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that he loves her. "I love you too Matt, and I will always love you more than anything in the entire world." Leaning back, Matt and Gabby both smiled at each other. Wrapping his arms around his wife, Matt put his hands on her butt and just kissed Gabby softly. "I have to say, you look incredible in this." Gabby smirked when she heard Matt tell her that, well aware that he loves what she's wearing at the moment. "Trust me, you're going to love what's underneath even more." Matt was shocked when he heard Gabby say that, before just watching as his wife proceeded to lead him downstairs to their friends. "God, you are going to kill me tonight." Gabby agreed with her husband when she said that, well aware that she was going to kill her husband tonight. "Well, that's the point. This is my last chance to tease you this year, so I am going to do just that." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling at her.
Shortly after making their way downstairs to the main floor, Matt and Gabby both smiled as they looked at their best friends; the best friends who were patiently waiting for the both of them at the front door, smirking at them. "Oh shut up you too. We didn't do anything." Stella looked at her best friend when she said that. "We didn't, and I promise that we didn't. Now shut up, before I make you work tomorrow." Stella looked at her best friend when she said that. "You can't do that, because I'm no longer a first responder…I get the holidays off." Gabby laughed when she heard Stella say that, letting go of Matt's hand before walking over to her best friend. She then proceeded to hug her as she was glad that they were going out. Gabby then turned to look at Kelly. "If Matt's not with me, then I want you to take care of him tonight; I'll do the same for Stella. Also, one more thing." Gabby then turned to look at her husband, who could see that she was worried.
"Promise me that you take it easy with the drinking, in case I need you tonight." Matt then proceeded to grab his wife's hand, smiling at her. "Hey, take a breath and just relax baby. I promise that we're going to take it easy, and we're not going to drink too much; we're going to take it easy and just relax. You have no need to worry about us." Gabby agreed with her husband when he said that. "Hey Kelly…" Matt then went to throw his Tesla keys to him. "Can you help Gabby into the front seat, before getting into the back seat? I'm still driving. Please do that for me? I need to talk to Stella for a minute." Kelly was a bit confused when he heard his best friend say that, before just agreeing with him. "I got it Matt." Matt agreed with his best friend when he said that, smiling as he watched him lead Gabby outside to go to their car this evening. At the same time, Matt took a breath and turned to look at his wife's best friend. The best friend he trusts explicitly. "What's up Matt?"
Matt's POV:
As I looked at my wife's best friend, I took a breath and just looked at her as I was still a bit worried for my wife; and that was why I wanted to talk to her best friend for a moment. "Listen, I know that this goes without saying but…" Stella then proceeded to grab my hand and smiled at me. "You want me to make sure that Gabby's okay tonight?" I nodded, agreeing with Stella when she asked me that. "I know that she's going to be okay but…" Stella just agreed with me. "Hey, I get that you're going to be worried for your wife; she's pregnant, and you need to take it easy." I took a breath, just sighing. "I just want to be a dad so bad, that I want to make sure that we have the babies. I want her to give birth." Stella agreed with me as I told her that, smiling at me. "Matt, I got her; I promise, and you can just enjoy yourself with Kelly." I smiled when I heard Stella say that, proceeding to get close to her before hugging her. "I swear, I am so lucky that my wife has you…."
Before Stella could say anything, I decided to continue. "I'm glad that she has you as a best friend, because it makes me feel good with leaving her with you." Stella smiled, agreeing with me as I told her that I appreciate how my wife has such a great best friend like her. "I know you do, and I promise that you can always rely on me to take care of her when you can't." I agreed with Stella when she told me that, proceeding to hug her once again. "Good. Now listen, let's get out of here and go have fun. You're the designated driver tonight." Stella smiled when I said that. "Kelly's going to hate that, because you never let him drive Gabby around." I smiled at her. "That's because I trust you more than him, as you would never do anything to hurt your best friend; especially when you know that she wants to be a mom more than anything in the entire world, as it's always been a dream of hers." Stella agreed with me as I said that, smiling at me.
"And Kelly knows that you've always wanted to be a dad, I hope that you know that." I agreed with Stella when she told me that, smiling at her as I stroked her hand. "Now listen, let's go outside before my wife and your boyfriend think we're having an affair." Stella laughed when I said that, shaking her head before pushing me away. "Never say that again, because you know that I would never do that to Gabby; nor would I do it to Kelly right now." I took a breath when Stella said that. "How is he anyways? I've been trying to talk to him more, but I think he's really keeping a brave face in front of me." Stella smiled at me. "He's doing much better. Do you want me to keep you apprised of how he's doing?" I took a breath. "I'd like that to tell you the truth. As much as I want to just worry about Gabby, I also need to think about him; because I don't want him to throw himself into work as a way to distract himself." Stella agreed with me as I told her that was a worry of mine.
"I didn't even think of that, but that's a good point. You don't want him to work to numb his pain, don't you?" I agreed with Stella when she asked me that, sighing. "If that's what you think he's doing, then I need you to tell me; that way, I can slow down with the work…and I can make sure that he grieves enough. I really want to help him as much as I can, because I love him like a brother; and I hate that I wasn't there for the funeral." Stella shook her head as I told her that. "Hey, don't even worry about that Matt. You had to be here with Gabby, and that's just a fact. You were dealing with a lot as well." I agreed with Stella when she told me that, smiling at her when she told me that. I then proceeded to hug her and smiled. "You're in charge of my wife and children tonight, and I hold you responsible if anything happens." Stella laughed as I said that, smiling as we both walked out of my home so that we can make our way out to the car. "I'm going to lock up, go ahead."
Stella agreed with me as I said that, walking ahead of me to go to the car. Meanwhile, I walked out behind her and closed the door; locking up, I smiled as I got ready to spend a nice evening with my wife and friends. It's going to be exactly what we all need, and I just know that this is going to be a great evening. A great evening that will include a lot of laughs, and will create a lot of memories; memories that will last us a couple years, as we probably will not have a chance to do this next year. I mean, we are going to be new parents; and me and Gabby are not going to want to go out without the kids.
Stella's POV:
Making my way out to the car, I smiled when I saw Gabby standing there; talking with Kelly, she laughed a bit. That was, until she saw me come out. "So, what did my husband have to talk to you about? Anything I need to worry about?" I shook my head when Gabby said that. "Matt was literally just joking that you were going to accuse us of having an affair." Gabby laughed when I said that, shaking her head. "Believe me, I know that you only want Kelly." I agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling. "He was just asking me to make sure that I take care of you and your precious babies tonight, the babies that you both want more than anything in the entire world." Gabby agreed with me when I said that, smiling at me as I said that. "Yeah, I should've figured that was the case. Matt will always do that." I agreed with Gabby, until I heard Matt come out to the both of us. "Did she accuse us of that?" Turning my head, I looked at Matt and just laughed when he said that.
"Well, that definitely happened." Looking at Gabby, Matt just glared at his wife. "Seriously Gabby?" Gabby then smiled as she walked over to her husband, proceeding to wrap her arms around him. Wrapping his arms around Gabby too, Matt smiled as he bent down and proceeded to kiss her softly. "Baby, I promise that I will never believe that you're going to cheat on me." Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, smiling at her before kissing her forehead softly. "Well then, how about we all get out of here to have fun?" We all agreed with each other when Matt said that, smiling as we all got ready to leave on our double date."
