Chapter One Hundred and Nine
New Year's Day – Part Three
Shortly after making their way downstairs this morning, Matt smiled when he saw his best friend making some nice breakfast for the both of them this morning. However, while Matt was smiling at his best friend, Gabby was smiling at her best friend. "Baby?" Turning his head, Matt smiled at his wife. "What is it baby?" Gabby then turned to look at her best friend. "I'm going to go talk to my best friend and get some more information about the wedding." Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, smiling at her before stepping close to her and putting his hand on her stomach. "Hey, promise me something first?" Gabby looked up at Matt when he asked her that. "What is it?" Matt then smiled at his beautiful wife. "Promise me that you don't over do it, and take it easy for the sake of our boys?" Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling at her husband when he asked her to take it easy for the sake of their boys. "I promise baby, I will." Matt agreed with her.
He then proceeded to get close to the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world, wrapping his arm around her waist before bending down to kiss her softly; just taking things nice and slow with Gabby, Matt smirked when he felt her put her hand on his face. God, the way she kisses him is always perfect; and there really is nothing like the two of them just holding each other close as well. Matt always wants to kiss his wife, and that's exactly what he's in the midst of doing right now. "Just go take it easy with Stella, okay baby? I will make sure to help Kelly make your breakfast perfectly." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling because she knew that was always going to be a promise that he can keep. He's such a good cook, and his breakfasts are always delicious. "I know that you will Matt, because you're a great chef." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling as he gave her one last kiss this morning.
Afterwards, he let her go before proceeding to make his way over to the kitchen so that he can talk to his best friend; the best friend whom walked into his bedroom this morning, which was definitely something that he didn't appreciate when he was in bed with his wife. Oh, and the fact that he made a scratch on his Tesla. "So, what's for breakfast this morning Tesla stealer and scratcher?" Turning to face his best friend, Kelly was about to say something; however, he shut up before he said anything that could get him into any more trouble, when he knew that was exactly what he did. He stole his Tesla, and then scratched it at some point. And that's not something that he's going to be able to forgive very easily, especially not when Kelly knew that he shouldn't have stolen it. Turning around to face his best friend, Kelly let out a sigh. "Oh, and then he interrupts me and my wife on our last New Year's Day where we're guaranteed no interruptions!"
Kelly then realized that, well aware that's the truth. I mean, his best friend is expecting his first child with his wife this year. Taking a breath, he decided that he needed to take it easy and not push it. He didn't want to 'poke the bear' which is easy. However, that was not really something that he was worried about right now; rather, it was not making Matt too bad. Just taking a breath, Kelly smiled at his best friend. "I'm sorry man." Matt shook his head when Kelly said that, taking a breath as he looked at his best friend. He then went ahead and put his hand on his back. "I bet you hate the fact that you did all of this in the past 24 hours." Kelly gulped. "What are we doing today? I can see it in your eyes, that you're making me get revenge." Matt smiled when his best friend asked him that. "Well, here's the thing. I was going to wait until tomorrow to start the incorporation papers, but I've decided that it's best not to wait." Kelly gulped when Matt said that, looking at him.
"Wait a second, so you're going to make me work…when I just got married last night." Stella then turned to look at her husband. "Kelly, I am going to spend time with my best friend working on the clothing line. That okay? Thanks honey!" Matt then smirked as he looked at Stella. "Thank you Ms. Severide!" Stella then looked at her husband. "Speaking of which, where's my breakfast husband?" Matt just smirked, before shaking his head. "Already in trouble with the Ms. Not really starting off the marriage on the right foot, now are you Mr. Severide?" Gabby then turned her head, and looked at her own husband. "Matt, are you going to really talk to him more than you have to; when you know that I'm hungry?" Matt shook his head when Gabby asked him that. "Wait, why am I making breakfast anyways? Didn't I tell you to make breakfast this morning?" Kelly sighed, before nodding. "Yes, you did." Matt agreed with his best friend, smirking at him.
Afterwards, he decided to walk away so that he can make his way into the living room. He then smiled as he looked at Gabby before going to grab something out of his pocket for her. "I have something for you." Gabby turned her head when Matt said that, a bit confused. "And what would that be?" Matt smirked as he proceeded to grab a new credit card that he recently got for his beautiful wife. He then proceeded to give her the card and smiled at her. "I think I owe you this card." Gabby then looked at the new credit card that he just gave her. "Thanks baby." Gabby then went to look at the card, seeing that it was in her name. "You can use that for your business, and for the kids. However, you only get to buy Kelly and Stella ONE wedding gift." Stella looked at Matt when he said that. "Just one? I think that's a bit selfish when…." Matt then looked at Stella. "Would you rather I deduct the money we could spend on you, and put it towards the Tesla?" Gabby then turned to look at her best friend. "More specifically, MY Tesla." Stella just looked at Gabby when she said that.
"That's your Tesla?" Gabby agreed with Stella when she said that, smiling at her. "Matt wanted the Model Y because it's a Sedan and it's more like what a CEO drives, I wanted the Model X because it's an SUV and it'll be better for the twins." Stella agreed with Gabby when she said that, as it made a lot of sense when she thinks of it. She then smiled as she went to grab her best friend's hand. "I hope you know that I'm really sorry." Gabby then thought of something. "From now on, you're the only one who can drive our cars until we can teach Kelly how to drive them properly." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, really liking that idea. "Is that understood Mr. Severide?" Severide agreed with his boss when he said that. "Yes Mr. Casey." Matt smiled, before looking down at Stella. "By the way, come here Ms. Severide." Stella then got up, smiling as she proceeded to walk up to her best friend's husband. Hugging her, Matt smiled as he looked at her and just held her.
He then turned to look at Gabby, smiling at her. "What do you say today is a delivery day? We can concentrate on our businesses?" Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling at him. "I like that idea." That's when Matt thought about something. "Oh, quick thing. Can you come see me if he calls you?" Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, well aware of just who he was talking about. "I promise, I will baby." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling at her before looking at his best friend. "Kelly, my office with your laptop and breakfast." Kelly agreed with his boss when he said that, just continuing to make breakfast while his boss walked away. He then waited to walk away before he decided to say anything. "God, what's up his ass? I swear, you make a simple mistake.." Gabby then went to shut that down. "Kelly! Turn around and look at me right now." Kelly then proceeded to do just that, turning around to look at Gabby.
Gabby's POV:
As I looked at my husband's best friend, I decided to address the 'simple mistake' that he made. Because the truth was, that was not a simple mistake. That was a costly mistake, that we need to fix and might cost us a lot of money. "Kelly, that is not a simple mistake! First of all, you had no right to even take MY CAR in the first place. Heck, I have barely driven that car; yet you feel like you have the right to take my car because you live here? No. You no right to drive MY CAR just because you live here. The food, internet, TV and pool are the only things that you have a right to. Our vehicles are some that we bought with our own money, and that we fully own. We do not rent them, nor do we have a loan for them. They are our vehicles, and we are the ones who are going to be punished for that. You do not have insurance to pay our cars, and I am going to be dinged for that. Also, I do not want that car being driven when it's the car that I need to have a full battery on 24/7."
Kelly was confused when I said that. "And why do you need to have a full battery on it at all times? You have Matt's car." I just looked at him. "You know the trunk in the car? Well, what you don't know is that I already have a hospital bag in there for emergencies. I already have it packed, and I don't need to think about it. I just need to get in the car, and go to the hospital. If I didn't have that bag, I wouldn't have what I need to give birth; things that I want to have. I mean, not that I have it yet…but I'm just giving you an example. That's something I plan on doing in the future, and we're going to install the car seats in that car since it's the bigger car. So, I would rather you not have it scratched when it means that it has to go to the shop. And that might mean we have to send it to Nevada or something. I'm not sure yet. So, it's kind of important." I then took a breath and just looked at Stella. "Stella, do you understand what I'm trying to say right now?"
Stella agreed with me when I asked her that. "Hey, of course I understand girl. You're making plans to go to the hospital in a certain car, which can be access easily." I nodded when she said that. "We have a spare set of keys in my hospital bag. And you just need to have the keys in the car to drive away, which means that we don't need to grab the ones on the hook; we can just take the car and go to the hospital. So, I need that car here all the time in case of emergencies. It's a huge worry for me if I don't have that car. Kelly, do you understand why it's important that we have our cars here? More specifically, THAT Tesla of all cars? What if I felt like I had to go to the hospital last night and I grabbed my hospital bags, with the keys for the wrong car? Matt would have to figure that out, rather than concentrate on me; it's why we try and have things set up. It's also why he wants to work on the company, so that it's already started when he takes time off this summer."
I smiled at my best friend. "So that you guys have jobs, and everything that you need; then, we can just concentrate on our family for a couple weeks. Well, Matt a few weeks. I am going to do it much longer. I plan on breastfeeding the twins for a while." Stella agreed with me when I said that, knowing that I was specifically addressing that to her since she was the one whom I needed to talk to her more about. "I promise, I can handle it girl." I smiled, agreeing with my best friend when she told me that. I then took a breath, while turning to look at her husband. "Listen, how about you finish our omelets? I'm going to talk to your wife right now. We're just doing relaxation right now; we can do business after." Stella looked at me when I said that. "Remind me why we're doing business today?" I snickered when she asked me that, smiling at her. "It's Matt's payback for what Kelly did last night." Kelly just groaned when he heard me say that. "Of course, it is."
I then went to snap back at him. "I was going to act on my cravings for Chinese and pizza delivery today Mr. Severide. Unless you want to cook for us today, I would shut up and just make me my omelet!" Shutting up after I mentioned that I was thinking of ordering in at lunch and supper, Kelly just went ahead and continued to make our food. At the same time, Stella snickered a bit and looked at me. "Well, that was easy." I agreed with her. "So, did you have fun last night?" Stella agreed with me when I asked her that. "Yes, I actually have something to show you." Stella then went to grab her phone. "What's that?" Taking her phone out, she opened it so that she can show me a picture. "Here, I took a picture of this woman's outfit last night. It looked like it wasn't matchy that much, but it looked pretty good. I thought, if we just make a few adjustments to it….then we can definitely make it perfect for Hawaii." Looking at the outfit, I smiled and agreed.
That was when I heard my mother walk in. "Camila's sewing services are closed for New Year's Day." Turning my head, I laughed when I heard my mom say that. "Mom, don't worry; we aren't working on that yet." My mom agreed with me, getting close to me while I got up. I then proceeded to hug her, smiling. "Where's your husband?" I laughed. "He's in the office. He and Severide are going to work on the incorporation papers." My mom looked at me when I said that. "It's New Year's Day." I smiled. "It's punishment for Kelly having driven Matt's Tesla last night, and scratching it." My mom thought about it and agreed with me. "Ah, I like that idea." I agreed with her. "And me and Stella are going to work on designs." My mom smiled when I said that. "Well, I would love to help you out if you need any?" I smiled at my mother. "Mom, just take it easy. I know you're still tired from Antonio's drama." My mom groaned. "Tell me about it." I agreed with her, laughing.
"Or you can work on clothes for the twins. Your grandsons Gabriel and Matteo." My mom smiled when I said that. "I think I love that idea." I smiled at her. "I would love it if you could make some Hawaii baby bonnets. I mean, they can't be that warm since we're in Hawaii but…" My mom smiled when I said that, grabbing my hand. "I'll figure something out. Now, do you want me to make breakfast?" I shook my head. "No, Severide is going that. He's making me and Matt some Omelets because he drove our Tesla without our permission the night before, and then he scratched it." My mom then turned to look at Kelly. "Kelly Severide, you better be starting some coffee." I then heard Matt from his office. "Yes Please!" My mom then spoke up. "And Matthew, get out of that office. You can go in there after breakfast. You're going to stay in there for most of the day, so come out here and spend time with us for now." Matt agreed with my mom. "Be right out."
Matt's POV:
Walking out of the office after being told to do so by my loving mother-in-law, I smiled as I watched her start brewing some coffee this morning. "Good morning Camila. Happy new year." Camila then turned to look at me, smiling as I walked up to her in the kitchen. Getting close to me, she smiled as she hugged me. Afterwards, she kissed both of my cheeks; I then did the same. "Oh, by the way Gabby; I just spoke to my sister, she's going to be joining us for supper tonight. So please order for 7 people." Gabby agreed with me when I said that. "I'll do just that." Camila then looked at Gabby. "Order?" Gabby smiled. "I'm craving things, so we're ordering in for lunch and supper. Pizza for lunch, Chinese for Supper. Anyways, Matt owes me for supper last night. He bought me the wrong type of food." I agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Oh baby, I just wanted to let you know that I just got an e-mail from the Lawyer. Meeting got moved to Thursday at 11 am."
Camila looked at me when I said that, getting worried. "Why do you need a lawyer Matt? Is everything okay? God, are you in trouble?" I then proceeded to calm her down, well aware that might scare her. "No, it's not that type of lawyer Camila." I then proceeded to make my way over to the couch to sit with Gabby. "Severide, coffee please!" Severide agreed with me. Afterwards, I just went to sit with Gabby. Wrapping my arm around her, I smiled as I cuddled up to her and the kids. At the same time, Camila came to sit with me, Gabby and Stella in the living room. "So, what's the meeting with the lawyer about?" I smiled when she asked me that. "Their names are Hannah Ryan and Isaac Rogers. Hannah is our Corporate Attorney who's going to help us with the incorporation of the company. Meanwhile, Isaac is the lawyer for ELLA Apparel." I then turned my head and looked at Gabby. "I'm just not sure whether I want to meet with John Serhant yet."
Gabby looked at me when I said that. "Why would you want to meet with him?" I smiled at her. "He's the head of the law firm, Serhant Law Group. And he's also our personal attorney." Gabby agreed with me when I said that, smiling at me. "We'll have to see how I feel on Thursday if I want to go." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that, kissing the side of her head. "I promise, we can always reschedule; you and your health come first." Gabby looked at me as I said that. "I just meant me baby; you can still go." I shook my head. "No. I only go to the meeting if you go. We're a team baby." I then proceeded to put my hand on her leg, smiling as I stroked her leg with my thumb. At the same time, Gabby put her hand on mine as we cuddled up to each other. Turning my head, I smiled as I kissed her forehead softly. "January 19th is the OB. Are you sure you want to wait that long baby?" Gabby took a breath. "I was wondering the same thing."
I looked at her. "Maybe you can call her and see if you can set it up for Saturday at 1? Then, we can go for lunch together first." I then turned to look at Stella, smiling at her as she knew what was happening Friday. Gabby's baby shower was this Saturday at 2. So, if I can get Gabby out of the house at noon, it'll give them enough time to set up. Nodding, Stella smiled at me. "I think that would be a great time to go on a date." Gabby agreed with me when I said that, smiling as she wrapped her arms around mine. At the same time, I turned my head and kissed her forehead once again. God the way that this woman makes me feel is incredible. I am just so in love with her, that it's crazy how much I love her. "By the way, Camila; did you hear the news?" Camila then looked at me when I said that. "What's that?" I smiled at her. "Our friends here are married as of last night." Camila smiled when I said that. "Well, congratulations Kelly and Stella."
Stella smiled when she heard Camila say that. "Thank you Camila." Kelly then added on. "Yeah, thanks Camila." Turning my head, I went to look at Kelly. "Concentrate on the Omelets and don't you dare burn my house down. If not, I am firing you from your job at the company." Stella laughed a bit when Matt said that, but Matt wasn't kidding. "I'm not kidding. He already damaged my wife's car, he isn't damaging the home I want to bring our sons home to." Gabby smiled when I said that, obviously loving the sound of it; but she might also be enjoying the feeling of me moving my hand to her stomach. Stroking it with my thumb, I smiled as I felt Gabby put her hand on it before laying her head down. Turning my head, I smiled as I kissed the top of her head while we both just held each other close. God, I am so glad that Gabby's my beautiful wife; and that we're having these twins that I have always wanted more than anything in the entire world.
