I only own my OCs, I do not own Tess, Bentley, Carmelita, or any Van Helsing characters.
Chiyo and Lupe continue to watch Anna along with Tess as she was sleeping on her bed. Anna eventually begins to stir, wakes and sits up with a moan, she notices the trio who were watching her, making her believe they were asked to watch her. She looks, and said, "Van Helsing!" she gets out of bed to find the man who knocked her out, with the trio following her. They search for him or Taylor, since she might be with him to be ready, but then they heard some clattering.
"I think that came from the armory," Lupe said.
The group of ladies went there with Anna opening the door and calls out, "Van Helsing!" There was no one here, but was dark, so Anna grabbed a lantern to light the way.
"I got a bad feeling about this," Chiyo said. Then they heard a door slamming, this caused Anna to look and grab a mace and lead the ladies cautiously through the dark armory. They also hear some hinges squeaking on their left. Anna jumps and grunts to get ready along with the others, but only see an open window with the wind whistling to make it move.
Anna sighs, went to the window, and closed it, but then Tess notices something, taps on Anna's boot, and said, "Uh, girls."
Everyone looked and saw wet pawprints on the floor. Anna was scared, that they might be werewolf tracks. The group soon hear a low growl, and a thud from behind, causing them to gasp. Anna backs away, then takes a pistol and gets it ready to fire and backs away, the others follow her, hearing another low growl, as the group looks around for the creature, Lupe soon hears some drops of water, causing to ask in a whisper, "Anna, do you have a leaky roof?" Ann shook no, but then a drop fell on her shoulder, causing her to shudder, everyone looks up, and soon sees a brown furred werewolf coming down at them, which stops and roars at the, but Anna shoots it, causing it to back away after being grazed then Anna runs for it, causing the group to follow her. The group stopped to catch their breath, but then Lupe said, "Holy frijole, that really scared me, and one of my own kind no less," she paused, then said, "Although, despite the stinky wet smell, it smelled a bit familiar, like someone I met just recently."
Everyone was confused, but then Anna turned and gasped as she bumped into a man in a torn, ragged clothes, but looks at him, and asked with a smile, "Velkan?"
"Anna," the man, Velkan replied.
Oh my gosh. You're alive," Anna said, touching his cheek.
Lupe looks at Velkan, causing her inner wolf to once again howl, and whispers, "Sigue siendo mi corazon aullante." (Be still my howling heart.)
Velkan grabs Anna's hand, slowly, but Lupe notices him shaking, quickly moves her hand, and said, "No! Anna, I only have a moment."
"But, Velkan, there's a werewolf-" Anna tries to explain.
But Velkan interrupts her, and said, "Never mind. Listen to me. I know Dracula's secret. He has a-"
Suddenly he stops, grunts and backs away, causing Anna to ask, "Velkan?"
"Que pasa?" (What's wrong?) Lupe asked.
"Please," Velkan said, grabbing a table.
Anna then was in tears, as she said, "No. No!" The girls watch as Velkan grunts and moves his shirt a bit, then roars and lifts the table to turn it over. Anna said, "No," again, know her brother is the werewolf, as he touches a wall, he begins climbing it.
He eventually stops and looks at a window, which Lupe does the same, for the clouds part and reveal a full moon. Though it doesn't bother her, since she can now control her werewolf side, however she looks back at Velkan, he then said, "Run, girls," he tries to say run again, but it was interrupted by a roar as his teeth turned to fangs, his mouth stretches and begins ripping his torn shirt and skin, which revealed brown hair.
"No," Anna whispers at this with tears falling out of her eyes.
Soon the transformation was down, and the werewolf Velkan looks at the girls, they were frightened, with the exception of Lupe, who was really loving his werewolf form.
"Anna!" someone shouts out, which was Van Helsing, who was running towards the group with Taylor and Carmelita with him. Velkan sees them and bolts and breaks through a window once he saw Van Helsing points his gun at him. Van Helsing lowers his guns goes to Anna, calls her, then asked, "Are you all right? Anna?" Van Helsing then runs off to a balcony, and they watch the werewolf as he growls and crosses the river.
Bentley and Carl entered the armory, they then sniffed around, causing Bentley say, "Man, it smells like if the villain I faced where I came from, Muggshot, when he gets caught in the rain," Carl was confused then Bentley explains, "This would be the explanation if you were going to ask, 'Why does it smell like wet dog in here?'"
Van Helsing runs to them, and replies to Bentley's question, "Werewolf!"
Hearing that reply, Carl then said while taking something and tossing it to Van Helsing, who did catch them, "Oh, right. You'll be needing silver bullets."
"Well done," Van Helsing said.
"Chiyo, Lupe, Carmelita you guys come with me and Van Helsing," Taylor said, paused, then said, "Tess you stay with Anna, while you stay with Bentley."
The people nodded and did what Taylor suggested, while Anna was worried.
The group that was outside went out to look for the werewolf. Lupe was worried as Van Helsing was loading his pistols with something that can kill her. Van Helsing sees this, and asked, "Why are you feeling tense, Lupe?"
Lupe then replies, "Forgive me to worry you, Senior Van Helsing, but I feel you might harm me with those bullets."
"I am a monster hunter, not a murderer," Van Helsing states, as the group continue to cautiously search for werewolf, hearing some clanging noises as well. Then Lupe felt someone from behind, which Van Helsing does as well, turns and points his gun, only seeing nothing, he smirks then asked, "Who's hunting whom?"
They hear a dog barking in the distance, but then Lupe was sniffing something, causing Taylor to ask, "Smell something, Lupe?"
"Si," Lupe replies, smells deeper, and says, "Graveyard soil."
"Well, we are nearing the cemetery," Chiyo said.
"There is also someone close," said Lupe.
"How close?" Carmelita asked, readying her pistol.
"Nice night," said a voice, Van Helsing cocks his gun, points it at someone, who turns out to be the undertaker who was chilling in a coffin.
"Oh, that close," said Carmelita.
"It is a bit tight for me," he said as he comes out of the coffin, moves until Van Hesling was standing between him and the coffin as the undertaker says, "but for you, sir, it's a perfect fit," he then turns, and said, "What a coincidence," he walks off with the group follows him as he continues, "I see the wolf man hasn't killed you yet."
"If he's working for Dracula, then he couldn't," Taylor said.
Ven Hesling then said, "Even if he did, don't worry. He's getting to it," he looks at the undertaker, and said, "You don't seem too bothered by him."
"Oh, I'm no threat to him," the undertaker said as he begins shoveling, then said, "I'm just the one who cleans up after him, if all of you get my meaning."
Lupe glared, and mutters, "I find that offensive," but then she smells something, and moves somewhere to do something.
Van Helsing then asked, "It's a little late to be digging graves, isn't it?"
"Never too late to dig graves," the undertaker replies, but then the group heard a clanging, turned, and noticed Lupe was gone, but as their back was turned, the undertaker then said, "You never know when you need a fresh on."
He was about to hit Van Helsing, but a giant hairy creature stops his shovel and picks him up, he was scared. Van Helsing points the gun at it, but Taylor, said, "Wait! Wait! This one's on our side!"
He looks at the creature, which was a werewolf, and then sees something in its eyes, now knowing it was Lupe, but he still points his gun, but this time it was aimed at the undertaker, who gasped and said, "Oh, sorry," he paused, then said, "It's just... my nature," he grins at this.
"That's a lame excuse," Lupe said, surprising everyone except Taylor and Chiyo, she looks and Van Helsing, and said, "I or Taylor will explain later, for now you guys should move." Everyone was confused until the undertaker gasped and they hear some footsteps fast approaching, causing them to move as the werewolf leaps after them, and missed, while the undertaker screams, but Lupe throws him up, and Chiyo jumps to save him while Lupe takes the hit of the werewolf's pounce, and they begin to attack each other.
Taylor soon feels her goggles vibrate, then the diamond on her staff glows, showing her a 'What if,' vision, she puts her goggles on, then looks into the diamond to see the vision.
She first sees the undertaker tries to hit Van Helsing with his shovel, but the latter stops him and points his gun at the former. After the undertaker apologizes and makes his excuse, he gasped, as the werewolf pounces, though Van Helsing gets out of the way, the undertaker screams as the werewolf gets him.
The undertaker rolled into a freshly dug grave hole, dead, while his shovel strikes the ground by the spade, while his hat twirls a bit on the butt of the shovel.
The image then fades to black.
Taylor takes off her goggles, and watches as Chiyo lowers the undertaker to the ground. Taylor then said, "It seems the monster friends of ours have saved you, Mr. Undertaker, though if they didn't then you would've been the one six feet under," she paused, then asked, "I would've thought it happened, would it tragic irony, since you wanted a fresh grave, or poetic justice, since you tried to do Van Helsing in?" She paused, then said, "Either way, you're lucky to be alive." Suddenly, Lupe was tossed and landed in front of the group, "Lupe!" Taylor cried as her friend reverts to her human form.
Lupe looks, and said, "This werewolf is very strong," the werewolf looks at the group and roars at them, Van Helsing points the gun at it, but Lupe said, "Senior Van Helsing, no."
Hearing her, he said, "I'm sorry to do this to your kind, but like I said, a monster hunter."
"No!" shouts someone else, which is Anna, who had also Tess on her shoulder, as she moved the gun, which when it was fired, it missed the werewolf, causing it to run with a growl and climb up a building.
Van Helsing sees the werewolf get away, he shoves Anna out of the way and said, "Move!"
"No!" Anna said again as both of them run off to see the werewolf jump out of firing range.
Lupe sees this, sighs in relief, and said, "Mi futuro campanero esta a salvo," (My future mate is safe) she looks at Anna, and said, "Gracias, Anna."
Van Helsing then grabs Anna by the throat, and shouts out, "Why!"
He pushes her to a beam, and replies, "You're choking me."
"Give me a reason not to," Van Helsing said angrily.
Anna replies, "I can't. If people knew-"
Van Helsing lets her go with a grunt, confusing everyone, even the undertaker, as Taylor asked, "Van Helsing, you know something, what is Anna talking about?"
He walks away, while Anna pants and messages her throat, then shouts, "He's not your brother anymore, Anna!"
Taylor, Carmelita, and the undertaker were shocked at this, Anna asked, "You knew?"
He looks at her and replies, "Yes."
She then asked as she walks to him, "Before or after I stopped you from shooting him?"
"Before," he replies back.
Anna was angry, pushed him, and said, "And still you tried to kill him!"
Van Helsing retorts, "He's a werewolf. He's gonna kill people."
"He can't help it! It's not his fault!" Anna yells.
"I know but he'll do it anyway!" Van Helsing yells back.
Anna asked, "Do you understand forgiveness?"
Van Hesling pauses, then replies, "Yes. I ask for it often."
Anna then said, "They say Dracula has a cure. If there's a chance I can save my brother, I'm going after it."
"Que?" Lupe asked as Anna walks off.
Van Hesling quickly grabs her by the arm, and said, "No. I need to find Dracula.
"And I need to find my brother," Anna said, paused, then said, "He gave his life for me. He's the only family I have left," everyone was silent, even Taylor, since this reminded her of how Shadow fought but was knocked out by the Nightmare Eight on the last adventure, but listens as Anna continues, "I despise Dracula more than you all could ever imagine. He has taken everything from me, leaving me alone in this world."
Lupe gets up, and said, "Anna, I know there might be that cure, but remember about the werewolf I bit, I can help Velkan, which I was trying to do, but he overpowered me."
Anna remembers that, but then Van Helsing groans, walks away, thinks, then said, "Despite what Lupe said, to have memories of those who you loved and lost is," he paused, turns to the group, then said, "perhaps harder than to have no memories at all," he paused, then said, "All right," the group looked at him, and said, "We'll look for you brother."
He then smiled, but then Lupe said, "Wait," she sniffs the air, and said, "I smell something," she sniffs more and said, "It smells like blood, yet it sort of isn't a bit."
Taylor thought, and said, "Synthetic blood, Nosfearatu."
"What?" Van Helsing asked.
Taylor looked at them, and said, "I know he won't let Dracula kill people for food, but that doesn't mean he can't scare them, for fear is what powers up the Dark Crystals," she thought, then said, "Carmelita, Chiyo, Lupe," the three looked at her and said, "Send the undertaker to his house, and then get ready for a fight in the village," all three nodded, she looks at the others, and said, "Rest of us will go after Velkan."
So now Velkan is alive, but now is a werewolf, much to Lupe's delight. What is Nosfearatu and Dracula are planning, and will the heroes stop them? Anyway, if you're reading this, thanks for reading.
