Hi Readers: I know that I just covered the baby shower in one chapter, however that's due to the fact that I have been struggling with my ideas. However, like I said at the end of the last chapter; Matt and Gabby's friends from Chicago are not going to be leaving right away, with the exception of Herrmann and Cindy as they need to go back to the kids, and Boden as he needs to get back to work. But now, it's time for Matt and Gabby to just take it easy and look at some of the gifts that they got from their friends (other than the fact that they came from Chicago to be here for them). But now, it's time for the two of them to just take it easy with each other as they relax and hold each other close after a long 48-hour period.

Chapter One Hundred and Eighteen
New Year's Day – Part Eleven

The baby shower that the couple's friends and family threw for them today was wonderful, and Matt and Gabby were both very grateful for what they ended up doing for them. However, it also did something else to the wife. It made her quite tired. So, that was why; after enjoying a nice supper with their friends and family, Matt and Gabby decided to take some time alone to end their New Year's Day alone. And the truth was, everybody understood (and excepted) that to happen; so, they all graciously said their goodbyes and then made their way back to their individual hotels. However, they were not doing seeing each other; rather, they will be seeing each other tomorrow (and pretty much every day that they are here). But still, the baby shower was nice, and they got a lot of what they needed for the twins. They got baby wipes, clothes, diapers, some baby chairs, a couple jolly jumpers, some car seats and even more. And they couldn't be more grateful.

What their friends did for them truly was incredible, and there was nothing better than what they experienced today; and that was especially the case, as they never expected to have children just seven months earlier. But now, they are ready to be parents once again. God, this truly is perfect; and there is nothing more that the couple could ever want from their great friends, as they have already done so much for all of them. But now, they are going to just take it easy and relax (as they have to work tomorrow). More specifically, Jay and Erin are going to be coming over so that they can talk about what they want to do; more specifically, what they want to do with regards to their futures here in Hawaii. They seemingly want to join the company, and that's something that they are going to need to talk about with them; but if it's to get away from Hank Voight, then Matt will definitely try and do whatever he can to facilitate that as he still hates that man's guts.

But that's not what Matt wants to concentrate on at the moment, as he was not his spouse; rather, his spouse was the one and only Ms. Gabriela Casey. The most beautiful woman in the entire world (in his eyes), and the future mother of his children. Walking into the bathroom with his towel wrapped around his waist, Matt smiled at the sight of his wife in the shower; more specifically, his gorgeous, naked, pregnant wife. And let's just say that the sight was incredible. So now, he was going to definitely take advantage of what he was seeing right now. He was going to be joining his beautiful wife in the shower so that he can hold his beautiful wife close to him. (Not that his wife would ever complain about that). Gabby loves it when Matt joins her in the shower (and the bath), as it means that she gets to have his hands all over him as he washes him; and that's definitely something that they are both going to enjoy tonight, ahead of them getting in bed to relax.

Quietly opening the door to the shower, Matt smirked as he proceeded to join the woman he loves to just spend some time with her; spend some time with her, as they wash each other this evening. Just wanting into the shower behind her, Matt smiled as he put his hands on her hips as he got nice and close to his beautiful wife. Standing right behind Gabby, Matt smiled as he tugged Gabby back against his chest; bending down, he kissed her neck softly before proceeding to whisper in her ear this evening. "So sexy." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, feeling him put his hands on her stomach; after which, she put her hands on his and just held her loving husband close to him. Kissing behind Gabby's ear, Matt smirked as he then went to whisper in hear ear. "God, I have such a beautiful wife." Gabby smiled when Matt told her that. "You're just trying to get me in bed." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before proceeding to turn his girl around in his arms.

Stepping close to the woman of his dreams, Matt smiled as he put his hands on her neck; which prompted Gabby to put her hands on his muscular chest, which she loves running her hands around. Kissing Gabby softly, Matt then proceeded to put his hands on her hips as they held each other close in the shower this evening. Smiling as she got even closer Matt, Gabby proceeded to wrap her arms around his neck while she continued to take things nice and slow with her loving husband. The loving husband who just so happens to also be the sexiest CEO that she's ever met. Well, future CEO. Stepping close to her man, Gabby smiled as she ran her hands down his abs. At the same time, Matt put his hand on Gabby's neck and kissed her softly. Taking things nice and slow with Gabby, Matt smirked due to the fact that his wife is extremely beautiful; and he's very happy over the fact that they are currently in the shower with each other right now. He always loves doing this too.

Just the way they stand so close to each other under the showerhead is always incredible, and she is just happy over the fact that they are just holding each other close. Afterwards, Matt decided to wrap his arms around Gabby and just held her close to his chest. Afterwards, Gabby smiled as she did the same while they both held each other close. However, it wasn't long before Gabby pulled away from the kiss and looked at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. Afterwards, Gabby decided to turn around in Matt's arms. Putting his hands on Gabby's hips as he stood being her, Matt smiled as he bent down and proceeded to kiss her neck softly. "Baby, I turned around because I want you to wash my hair." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling as he proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything right now. Just taking things slow with his girl, Matt was extremely happy right now. "You enjoy the gifts?"

Gabby smiled when her husband ask her whether she likes the gifts, which she did. "Our friends did formidable jobs picking out gifts for us, especially the specific type of gifts that we wanted. Is there a reason why that might be the case?" Gabby snickered a bit when she heard Matt ask her how their friends would know the specific gifts that she would've wanted from their friends. "Okay, I may have created a registry and sent them a list." Matt smirked when he heard his wife say that, already well aware that was the case. He just knew that was the case, and Matt is very happy over the fact that she did. "I have to say that some of those clothes were adorable." Gabby nodded as she heard Matt say that. "Think we can go look at the gifts again? I mean, it is still early. It's only 8 pm." Matt smiled when she said that, smirking. "And we can fall asleep in each other's arms whenever you want." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, smiling at her man.

Making his way out of the bathroom clad in his boxers this evening shortly after shaving a bit, Matt smiled at the sight of his beautiful wife as she sat down in bed this evening. And even better, she looked very comfortable as she laid down in the middle of their bed as she started to take some of the gifts that the couple got during their baby shower; more specifically, some of the gifts that they got from their friends. And boy, did Matt like the sight that was on his wife's face. More specifically, the big grin that was on his wife's face. It was absolutely perfect, and he was glad that this is what they are doing at the moment. They are going to truly enjoy this nice night together. "So, are we just sitting in silence? Or are we going to watch anything?" Gabby laughed when her husband asked her that. "Let's just sit in bed and relax with each other, and we can take it easy as we open these gifts." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling at her.

Afterwards, Matt just walked up to his side table so that he could set his phone down; doing just that, Matt smiled as he made sure that it was charging as there were times where it did have problems starting to charge. But now, it was doing it better after his phone's latest update. So, he's glad that he doesn't need to anything else. But now, it's time for Matt to get in bed with his girl. Climbing into bed with Gabby, Matt smiled as he closed the covers on top of her before moving close to her and their twins. Wrapping his arm around Gabby, Matt smiled as he put his hand on her stomach and just held the most beautiful woman in the entire world in his arms. Turning his head, Matt smirked as he kissed the side of Gabby's head; which was definitely something that always made his girl smile. It's just the best feeling in the entire world, especially when her husband is the one who kisses the side of her head. But now, he was ready to just hold her as they cuddled.

Looking at the gift that Gabby currently had in her hands, Matt smirked as it was adorable. It was an outfit that they got for one of their sons, and it was a paramedic shirt. "I'm sure that's going to be one of the outfits that we bring the kids home from the hospital from." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, before taking a breath. "Can we talk about that?" Matt looked at his wife when she asked him that, unsure as to which part of them bringing their twins home from the hospital they need to talk about. "What do we need to talk about baby?" Gabby took a breath when Matt asked her that, rolling over a bit so that she can look at her loving husband. "It's about the Tesla. Are you still mad at Kelly?" Matt took a breath when he heard Gabby ask him that question.. "I'm getting past it, and that's all that matters." Gabby agreed with her husband, smiling at him as she was glad that's the case. "And how are you feeling with regards to your brother?"

Gabby took a breath. "Honestly, I'm not sure yet if I want to start talking to him again; or if I want to stay no contact for a while, because he did cause problems for us, and that included with your sister." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling as he leaned in and kissed her softly. Just taking things nice and slow with Gabby, Matt smiled as this is exactly how he wants to spend his night. "But other than that, how are you feeling?" Matt smiled. "Pretty good. Glad that I am going to be maybe getting a couple new employees." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that. "You mean executives?" Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling at her. "I still have to meet with Cruz and Otis. I think I want to acquire the Slamigan." Gabby agreed with her loving husband as he told her that, smiling as she put her hand on his chest before kissing him softly. Afterwards she just took things nice and slow with Matt this evening.

"I think that'd be nice, but I don't think we should acquire it. Maybe they keep a bit of ownership as they created it." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, as he really did like that idea. Another idea that he liked, maybe the idea of how Erin could do something else. "You know, if I invite Erin over tomorrow; you could try and get her to join ELLA." Gabby smiled when Matt said that, as that was something that she thought about. "I mean, would she even want that? Or would she rather work with her husband?" Matt shrugged when Gabby asked him if she'd rather work with Jay, which definitely is a possibility. "I mean, maybe at first she can concentrate on something easy; and then he can concentrate on the business stuff. I don't want her to have to do all of the hard stuff that can get quite boring. I like to let the wives have fun, while the husbands are stuck with doing all of the boring stuff." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, smirking.

She then leaned in and proceeded to kiss her loving husband softly. Taking things nice and slow with Matt, Gabby smirked as she put her hand on his chest while they cuddled up to each other. "I hope you know that you truly are the man of my dreams." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she told him that, agreeing with her. "Oh believe me, I am well aware of the fact that I'm the man of your dreams." Cuddling up to Matt some more, Gabby wrapped her arms around Matt's torso. At the same time, Matt wrapped his arm around her and put his hand on her arm. Bending down, he kissed her softly before pressing his lips against her forehead. "Tired?" Looking up at Matt, Gabby sighed. "It was New Year's Eve last night, and we stayed up." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, well aware that was the truth right now. "I know." Gabby smiled as she looked into Matt's beautiful eyes. And let's just say that this is exactly what she wants right now.

Gabby's POV:
The feeling of Matt's soft lips on my body, and his smooth hand on my stomach; I truly mean it when I say that there's nothing better than this feeling. It's exactly what I want, and I am so glad that me and him are just holding each other close right now. If this is what we're doing for the rest of the night, I will never be able to complain. Yet, at the same time; I would definitely just like to speak to my man. "Can we talk for a bit before we fall asleep?" Matt nodded as I asked him whether we can talk for a bit before we can fall asleep. "Hey, of course we can. What's on your mind baby?" I took a breath when Matt asked me what was on my mind right now. "I guess, it's just how nice it was to see all of our friends." Matt took a breath when I said that. "Does it make you miss Chicago?" I bit my lip when Matt asked me that. "There are times that I do if we're being honest, as that's our family. Yet, I also know that we're better of here for the sake of my stress."

Matt agreed with me as I told him that, smiling as he felt me slip my legs in between his. At the same time, Matt wrapped them tight around me and grabbed my hand. Stroking it with his thumb, Matt smiled as he stared into my eyes. "I hope you know that you're the woman of my dreams, and that I am so proud of the fact that you are doing all of this so easily." I smiled when Matt asked me that, looking down as I blushed. "Hey, I mean that baby. You have made this transition to this new life that we're starting so well." Grabbing my hand, Matt proceeded to intertwine our fingers as he stared into my eyes. "I hope you know that I truly am very impressed by just how well you have done with this, as it's a lot to deal with; especially when I wasn't with you at first since I had so much to do." I looked at Matt when he told me that. "Hey, don't even think that way baby." Matt looked at me when I said that, deciding to listen to me right now.

"Matt, you have been there for me every step of the way. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I know that this is hard for you too, so don't you dare think that I am not aware of the fact that you have a lot on your mind." Matt took a breath, agreeing with me. "I just hope you know that you can always tell me if you feel like I'm not spending enough time with you, and that I will always change." I shook my head when Matt said that, moving extremely close to my loving husband. After which, I put my hand on his chest and just smiled as I started to take things nice and slow with my wonderful husband. I then kissed him once again, not wanting him to stop kissing me as I love the feeling of his lips on mine so much. "So listen, I had an idea for something. While we have the firehouse here, I want you to do something." Matt smiled at me. "What's that?" I smiled at him. "I want you guys to do the nursery. The more hands, the better." Matt smiled.

"I actually like that idea, as we did help Herrmann with it all those years ago." I smiled, agreeing with Matt. "And you can even ask him for advice on having to deal with two young kids. Didn't they have Lee Henry and Luke close together?" Matt thought about it. "Yeah, I think they did. And I can only remember that because he was so cranky right after they had Luke. God, I hated our shifts for the first few months after Luke was born." I agreed with Matt when he said that. "At least you weren't a Lieutenant yet." Matt thought about it. "I am not that sure about that, but I think that was true. Now listen, what would you like to talk about tonight?" I took a breath when Matt asked me that. "To tell you the truth, I think I am just ready to hold you in my arms. We can take things easy with each other and just relax." Matt smirked when he heard me say that. He then moved his hand to my neck while bending down to kiss me softly, and let's just say that I loved that.

"God, I love it when you kiss me." Matt agreed with me as I told him that, before leaning his forehead against mine. Afterwards, he smiled as he went ahead and just held me close to him. Cuddling up to Matt some more, I smirked due to the fact that this is everything that me and Matt have ever wanted. Moving his hand to my arm, Matt smiled as he stroked it with his thumb while kissing my forehead once again. Just smiling as we both held each other close; I was extremely happy right now. He truly is the man of my dreams, and I just feel like the luckiest woman in the entire world to have the honor to call this man my husband and the love of my life. "Have I ever told you that you're the love of my life?" Matt smiled when I asked him whether I've ever told him that he's the love of my life. "Oh, I am well a ware that's the case." I agreed with Matt then he told me that, smirking as I put my hand on his chest. Afterwards, I kissed him softly.

Putting his hand on my stomach, Matt smirked as he just took things nice and slow with me due to the fact that this is everything that we both want right now. There's never going to be anything better than the feeling of Matt's lips on mine, especially when he's also stroking my stomach with this thumb. There's just something about it that's incredible sweet and sexy. Afterwards, I leaned in and just continued to kiss him again. Smiling as I pulled away, I stared into his eyes and smirked as this is exactly what the both of us want to do right now; we just want to hold each other close, as we relax together. There's just something about us holding each other close that make us both really happy. Kissing my forehead, Matt smirked due to the fact that it seemed like he just wanted to hold me close. Wrapping his arm around my waist while bringing me against his chest, Matt smiled as he stroked my back as we held together and just relax.

At the same time, I kissed his chest and just smiled as we both looked at each other. Looking up at my loving husband, I smirked due to the fact that we are both really happy together. Moving my hand up his chest, I smiled as I put my hand on his neck and just started to take things nice and slow with Matt this evening. And just doing this is incredible, as there is nothing more that I want to do with the man I love. I want to cuddle up to him, and I want to share these nice kisses that we're going to share together for the rest of our lives. "God, this life that we have truly is perfect; and it's only going to get better when we have the kids." Matt agreed with me as I told him that. "It sure is." Matt smirked as he leaned in and kissed me once again, continuing to do just that for the rest of the night (until we feel asleep in each other's arms for the first time this year).
