Hello once again readers, I am so sorry that I am so slow with publishing updates today. I hope to write a few more today, but that's all TBD based on how long I write some of my chapters. If you're okay with short chapters, then I might get more out. But, I am going to most likely post long chapters like I am used to doing. I really hope that's okay, and that you're happy with the long chapter. I had a phone call meeting earlier, along with the distractions I had doing other non-related activities. But now, I'm back and ready to give you another chapter. (Maybe another after this, but we'll see). Regardless, I'm glad that I get to update. But on another note, I need to let you guys know that I have an interview tomorrow afternoon for a job; so I am not going to be posting as much in the afternoon. I hope you guys understand. But for now, I am not going to waste anymore time writing this note on top of the chapter. Rather, I am going to get a second chapter out to you guys right now. Here we go with Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-One, the second chapter of January 2nd, 2019, with Jay and Alex Halstead.

Note to Readers: Not sure if I mentioned this, but I have decided to rename Erin's character so that her name is Alex. So, everything that you know about Erin will be Alex's background instead. I hope you understand and enjoy the story readers.

Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-One
Are You Joining Us?

Halstead Hotel Suite, Honolulu
They were currently in the shower this fine morning, having decided to take one together prior to the both of them making their way to Matt and Gabby's place today; the both of them well aware of the fact that they are going to need to work today. Jay, he's going to have to talk to Matt and figure out whatever role that he can create in the company for himself; meanwhile, Alex is going to work with Gabby on the clothing line that she plans on creating with Stella (aka her best friend). Meanwhile, she's just going to be there in whatever role she can. However, that was not what the couple were currently concentrating on. Rather, they were concentrating each other as Jay pushed his gorgeous wife against the shower; them having taken one every single morning since they got married, and it was hot. The way that they hold each other, the way that they tease each other; it was paradise for both the husband, as well as the wife. The way Jay wraps Alex's legs around his waist night and tight while he makes love to her is just formidable, and it makes her want her man bad.

Bending down, Alex smirked as she kissed Jay while taking things nice and slow with her man; after all, that was something that the both of them wanted to do right now. However, there was one thing that Alex was not the biggest fan of; and that was Jay setting her down on the ground of the shower, but that was exactly what he did (while also tugging her against his chest). Putting her hands on Jay's chest, Alex smirked as she leaned up and kissed him softly; meanwhile, Jay moved his hands to her sides and just started to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Fuck, you're so hot." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, smirking as she was thinking the same thing about her husband. "I can say the same thing about you HUSBAND." Jay smirked as he heard Alex call him her husband once again, really enjoying the sound of that word each and every time that she says it. Bending down, Jay proceeded to kiss her neck once again as their shower continued to heat up (sexually). Meanwhile, the water was absolutely perfect.

Grabbing the back of her husband's head, Alex moaned as she felt Jay press his body against hers as a way to turn her on; and that was exactly what he was doing at the moment, as that was always the perfect way to turn her on. But there was on thing that was definitely not perfect at the moment, and that was the fact that his phone was ringing. Wrapping her arms around Jay's neck, Alex stepped close to him and just whispered. "Baby, ignore it; remember that we're here right now." Jay took a breath when he heard Alex ask him to ignore it, before biting her lip. "What if it's my brother? I left him a message yesterday, and he didn't call me back." Alex sighed when she heard Jay ask her (indirectly) if it's his brother that's currently calling him. Knowing full well that Will is always worried about Jay, she knows that she doesn't really have a choice. "Just be glad that we already washed up." Wrapping her arms around Jay's neck one last time, Alex smiled as she stepped close to him while feeling him wrap his arms around her back. Kissing him softly, Alex smirked as she was madly in love with him.

"Go be the future business tycoon that I know and love more than anything in the entire world, a sexy one at that." Jay smirked as he heard Alex tell him that, moving his hand to her neck before tugging her lips against his. Afterwards, he started to take things nice and slow with her as a way to tease her; but it wasn't long before he stepped out of the shower, grabbing his towel at the same time to answer his phone. "TEASE!" Jay laughed as he heard Alex tell him that he was a tease. "I can say the same thing about watching you take a shower naked, especially after how much fun we had the night before." Alex smirked when Jay said that, having truly enjoyed all the love making that she and Jay had the night before. Moving to grab his towel, Jay went to dry off before walking over to the counter where his phone was currently ringing. He then saw that it was, in fact, Matt calling him this morning. "It's Matt babe, we might be going to their place again."

Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, ready to do just that; after all, she does want to talk to Gabby and Stella. After having heard about them starting a clothing/accessory line, and with Jay moving here; then she needs to ask them if she can get a job with them. I mean, it would be very helpful if that can happen. "Go ahead. I need to talk to Gabby and Stella anyways. Or even better, if you can make me getting a job with them a condition of you accepting a job; that would be paradise." Jay agreed with his wife as she told him that, smiling as he was thinking the same way. "I promise, we'll figure it out. But right now, I need to go before I miss Matt's call." Alex agreed with Jay when he told her that, smiling as she went back to her shower; at the same time, Jay wrapped his towel around his waist while grabbing his phone and walking out of the washroom so that he could (finally) answer Matt's call and talk to him this morning to tell him they're coming in.

Jay's POV:
Walking out into the bedroom part of our hotel room, I went to close the door behind me so that Matt wasn't going to hear Alex in the shower. Putting the phone up to my ear, I finally answered the call. "Hey boss." Matt laughed as I said that, obviously loving the sound of me saying 'hey boss' to him (that's what he is after all). At the same time, I made my way over to my bags so that I could grab some boxers. "I hope this isn't a bad time, I saw that you took a long time to answer." I took a breath when Matt asked me that, torn between telling him the truth (as he was my friend first), or telling him a lie (as he was my boss). "Okay, I am so not sure what to tell you at the moment…" Setting my phone down on my dresser, I put my phone on speakerphone before proceeding to (finally) grab my boxers. Afterwards, I went ahead and put them on underneath my towel before I took it off. Now clad in nothing but my boxers, I made my way over to me and Alex's bed.

"…am I talking to my boss? Or am I talking to my friend?" I said 'friend' with a real question-mark, as I am not really sure what our relationship is. I mean, I am more friends with Antonio; and Matt is really just doing me a solid to help me get Alex away from Hank, whom we've been having problems with for a while now. The biggest problem? The fact that we basically gave him the middle finger, by getting married on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas; with him not being there to walk his 'daughter' down the aisle. We haven't exactly spoken to him yet, so we'll definitely be avoiding him; and of course, any of his calls until we figure out what we can say to him on the matter. "Yes Jay, we're friends. I promise, we're friends first because we know each other from Chicago. Plus, you're going to be letting your guard down when we're here because Alex is friends with Severide; another one of your co-workers here at the new company that I'm going to be starting…"

I nodded my head when Matt said that, before continuing to listen to him speak to me over the phone. "…and I am not going to make you switch back and forth between the way that you talk around me." I was a bit confused when he said that, not exactly understanding just what he means when he said that. "OK, so that exactly do you mean by that? I am not really understanding that part." Matt laughed (again) before clarifying what he meant. "You'll be talking to Severide as a friend, and then having to pivot to talk to me as a boss within minutes. And then, if I join one of your conversations; it'll be awkward and stuff. So, you can talk to me as friends; because we are friends Jay, as you're going to be around me a lot. Plus, us Chicagoans need to stick together here in Hawaii as we try and create a company together. And that's another thing, I need to ask you. Are you okay with jhalstead for your e-mail? And then Alex? Do you want it ahalstead or alindsay?" I smirked.

"She wants her e-mail to be ahalstead." Matt agreed with me when I said that, well aware that I was proud of the fact that she was going to be using my last name. "Ok, that makes it easy. Listen, we can talk about this more. Now, I want you to bring a laptop where we can set you up with this e-mail. I want to let you know ahead of time that we are going to be doing most of our work over the cloud, and that might lead to us having to do work at odd hours of the day. I am really not sure if I can give you that reliable of a schedule, because I'm not on a reliable schedule. I am also basing my work schedule on how Gabby's feeling." I agreed with Matt when he told me that, as that was completely understandable; after all, Gabby is pregnant with their twins. "That's fine Matt, not that I can really complain over the fact that I'm going to work at a mansion." Matt agreed with me as I said that. "You can stay for supper every night, so that we can work late."

I agreed with Matt, having a feeling that he wants to get this company up and running soon. "How soon do you want the company up and running? If you don't mind me asking?" Matt took a breath. "Maybe mid-to-late February or March." I was shocked when I heard that, as that meant that we were going to have to do a lot of work. "Ok, well that means that we need to work weekends, don't we?" Matt took a breath, sighing as he must hate the fact that he has to give me the answer that he did. "Probably, as I may take weekdays off sometimes to spend with Gabby. While we are starting the business, I am going to have to balance a schedule with Gabby too; I want to make sure that me and Gabby's marriage stays strong." I agreed with Matt when he said that, having heard about some of the problems they had (in the past) from Antonio. "Completely understandable man. Being married, I completely understanding wanting to have a stable marriage."

Matt laughed when I said that, agreeing with me as I said that. "Listen, if you could be here within the hour; we'd really appreciate that. I just want to work as much as I can during the day, so that I can spend time with Gabby at night. I want to spend as much time as I can with her, as we really only have five and a half months before we no longer have time alone; instead, we'll have kids around us all the time." I agreed with Matt when he said that, well aware that was going to be the case. "Don't lie though, you're excited for that idea." Matt laughed when I mentioned that, it definitely being the case. "Oh, you are never going to hear me complain over the fact that we're having twin boys." I smiled when I heard Matt say that. "Twin boys sounds amazing. But listen, I'm going to have to let you go. The sooner I get dressed, the sooner I can make my way over to your place. But listen, I need to talk to you about the weekends this month." Matt was confused.

"And why's that?" I sighed. "Me and Alex just got married 48 hours ago on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, and I would like to have something…" Matt just understood. "Jay, of course. We can figure that out, I need to realize that, and I am so sorry. Listen, I will let you go so that you can get ready and make your way here. See you soon?" I agreed with Matt when he asked me whether he'd see me soon. "Yes, yes you will." We then both proceeded to hang up this morning, with me setting my phone down. At the same time, I went to get up to grab my jeans; however, before I could do that, I saw Alex get out of the shower and throw her towel onto the ground. Smirking as she did that, I decided that I wanted to go share a kiss with my naked wife before she got dressed for the day this morning. Well, at least before she can put a bra on.

She just went to grab her bra so that she could put it on after her short this morning, the wife unaware of the fact that her loving husband is on his way back into the bathroom this morning; so, she was not going to have a chance to put her bra on for a bit. Just walking up behind Alex in the washroom, Jay smirked as he looked at his wife. "How about you set that back down for a minute?" Smirking as she heard Jay ask her to put her bra back down, Alex did just that so that she could turn around and face him; watching as he moved his hands to her hips and tugged her body against his while they were both just wearing their underwear/boxers. Moving her hands to Jay's muscular chest, Alex smirked as she leaned in and proceeded to kiss her man softly. "Is this what you want?" Jay then proceeded to pick his beautiful wife up in his arms, setting her down on the counter at the same time. Wrapping her arms around Jay's neck, Alex smirked as she was very happy right now.

God, her man is so sexy; and he's everything that she's ever wanted in life. She doesn't care what her dad says about it, he's always going to be her man, and the only man that she will ever truly love. And that was something special, as she was so happy over the fact that Jay was her husband. "Oh, it's everything that I want right now. Sure, could I go for a bit of sexy time with my gorgeous wife either in the shower, or in bed? Of course. But for now, this is more than perfect." Jay said, running his hand up and down Alex's leg. Afterwards, Alex smiled as she put her hands on his face and just started to take things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything the entire world. Wrapping her arms around his neck, Alex smiled because this was everything that she wanted right now. "Pick me up, carry me to bed and kiss me slowly." Jay agreed with Alex as he told her that, smirking as he proceeded to pick her (and her bra) up off the counter this morning.

Wrapping his arm around her back, Jay smirked as he put his hand on Alex's neck while taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves; and he means that more than anything in the entire world. Jay truly has never felt the way that he's felt for the woman he currently has in his arms, and this is perfect. Just taking things slow with Alex, Jay smirked due to the fact that he was truly happy with her. Happy over the fact that she's his wife, happy over the fact that they're together at the moment, and especially happy that he doesn't need to worry about anything other than her at the moment. He can just take his time with his wife as they enjoy each other in the privacy of their Honolulu hotel suite this morning. And that was especially going to happen as he carried Alex back to their bed, where he was going to lay her down and just lean over her; after all, that was exactly what Alex wanted at the moment. She wants Jay to kiss her and just take things slow with her.

There's nothing better than the feeling of her loving husband's lips on hers as they took things nice and slow with each other. And she truly means that, especially with how sexy her man is getting with right now. Bending down, he pressed his lips to her neck and started to suck on it as a way to make her moan for him. "Oh baby." Jay smirked as he heard Alex moan for him, putting her hands on his back at the same time. Afterwards, he put his hand on her hip and smiled as he continued to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. Pulling back from the kiss, Jay smiled as he hovered over Alex once again; leaning his forehead against hers, Jay smiled due to the fact that the life that they are going to be starting here in Honolulu will be absolutely perfect. Even better, it's far away from his father-in-law. Sure, Jay loves his wife; he loves her more than anybody in the entire world. But that doesn't mean that he has to like his father-in-law, who is always bothering him whenever he thinks that he's doing something wrong in how he treats Alex.

But now, they live far away from him; and he isn't going to have to hear his complaints over how he treats his wife, or how he does things for his wife. And that's just paradise. Being alone with Alex has always been paradise, but being here is even better; especially when they are not just dating here, but husband and wife. Sure, he loved being Alex's boyfriend; but being her husband is just so much better, on so many other levels. He can't explain it, but there's just something about it that makes him happy. And right now, that's exactly what he was; he's happy beyond words. However, there was one thing that the husband can't do for much longer; and that would be kiss his wife endlessly, especially not when they need to get going. "Babe, do you want to have breakfast here at the hotel? Or are we going to wait until we're at Matt and Gabby's place?" Jay smirked as Alex asked him where he wants to have breakfast. "Let's eat alone on our way there." Alex agreed.

Alex's POV:
When Jay recommended that we stop somewhere along the way, I smiled because I liked that idea. We can start the journey over to Matt and Gabby's place, while we can also have breakfast alone. It's the best of both worlds, and I'm glad that's the decision that we made together. Plus, it means that I get to stare at the man that I get to call my husband for the rest of my life longer. God, he has such a great body; and I am so glad that he's my husband. Just watching Jay walk away to his bags, I watched as he went to grab some jeans to put on. Going to do just that for me, Jay smirked as he turned to face me while also seeing me sit up in bed. Smirking at me, Jay just laughed. "Don't worry, this isn't the last time that you're going to see me in boxers today. You're going to see me wearing them again later when we're back in bed with each other, and maybe even making love." I agreed with Jay when he told me that, smiling at my loving husband.

"While we also search for our own place." Jay just looked at me when I said that, before smiling. "I actually really like that idea, our own home close to the beach so that I can see that nice beach body of yours on a regular basis." I laughed when I heard Jay say that, before getting up and walking over to my bags. Walking by Jay on my way, I jumped as I felt him reach down and grab my butt so that he can squeeze it. Turning around to look at him, I was quite shocked. "JAY!" Jay smirked as I yelled out his name, before making a joke. "As much as I love hearing you yell out my name, I would much rather be hearing it with me on top of you in bed; oh, and I would rather you moan-yell my name." I laughed when I heard Jay say that, well aware that was going to be the case for the rest of our lives. "Oh, I'm very well aware that would be the case. I know you better than anybody after all." Jay smiled as I told him that, probably very happy at the moment. "God, I love you."

Going to show off my wedding ring, I smirked at him. "Sorry buddy, I'm taken." Jay then smirked as he picked out a shirt while I put my jean shorts on, doing them up before grabbing a shower. However, before I could put my shirt on, Jay walked up behind me and put his hands on my hips so that he could tug me back against his chest. Smirking as he did just that, I turned around to look at my incredible husband and put my hands on his abs. Afterwards, I stepped close to him and just smirked while he moved just as close to me and put his hand on my neck. Taking things nice and slow with him as we shared a kiss with each other this morning, I smirked as I am very happy with my loving husband. "Did I ever tell you that you're the man of my dreams, and that I am very happy with you?" Jay smirked as I asked him that, before nodding. "Oh, I am well aware that's the case." I agreed with Jay when he told me that, smirking as I took things nice and slow with him.

And that's all we did for a bit. We just held each other close while taking things nice and slow with each other, which is absolutely perfect. There truly is nothing like the feeling of my loving husband holding me in his arms as we just took things nice and slow with each other. Smiling as I leaned back, I stared into Jay's eyes. "I love you." Jay agreed with me as I said that. "I love you too, and I am so proud of the fact that you're my wife." I agreed with Jay when he told me that, smirking as we continued to take things nice and slow with each other this morning ahead of us heading to Matt and Gabby's place.
