Hi again! It's been awhile since I posted something for Detective Conan that wasn't already in my notebook. I have been more into other things, bouncing from hobbies and doing other things in life. Well, anyway, here's a new idea I literally thought up today and had to get it down on paper... well more like document manager. It's very messy and all over the place, still enjoy!

Title: My "Secret" Is Out And It's All Heiji's Fault

Type: Story

Summary: Out of all the ways for his "Secret" to get out, he never thought it would happen this way. "I blame Heiji for calling me Kudo so much. But this story is just too ridiculous."

Idea: Heiji has called Conan Kudo quite a lot, it's a wonder no one hasn't caught on.

Sub-Ideas: Heiji was at another KID Heist and kept messing up by calling Conan, Kudo.

- A Reporter or Camera person who wasn't live caught their conversation and noticed Hattori Heiji calling the KID Killer, Kudo.

- The person thinks nothing of it at first, but the more they think about it, the more the person dive into the topic with their good friend who works for a tabloid.

- The Tabloid Friend dives into this topic too and things get out of hand, result, they publish an article about the Kudos.

- Result: Conan is now bombarded with people about hounding him about his "secret," now disturbing the Mouri Family and reporters trying to hunt down his own parents.

"Hat-to-ri!" A young boy with giant black glasses threw his phone on the futon, annoyed with whatever he just saw. He scratched at his head messing up his black hair that somehow maintains its specific shape, especially his pointed cowlick. On the bed, the phone was left open to an article from one of those unreliable websites that just share information, and the title in big bold black letters lay visible for anyone to see.

KID Killer Secrets Revealed - More To The Boy Than Meets The Eyes

He sighed. Out of all the ways for his "Secret" to get out, he never thought it would happen this way.

"I blame Heiji for calling me Kudo so much. But this story is just too ridiculous."

It started out simple enough, a KID Heist with Heiji in town again. This time he wasn't with Kazuha, the incident from the first time wouldn't catch him off guard so long as KID doesn't try that stunt another time, which he highly doubted. This particular heist, there was more news coverage than usual, well it could be because some hot shot boy-group was hired to feature the latest jewel in a magazine via a photo shoot. The many fans and news reporters were all aligned side by side with the KID fans for this event.

Heiji apparently took interest in coming here because this was one of Kazuha's favorite groups, so he figured if he could score tickets to their next concert when they're scheduled to preform at Osaka, he could finally proclaim his love for Kazuha. Ulterior motive aside, Conan was pretty annoyed with Heiji's pesterings about how to approach the group about it. Heiji completely dropped calling him by his pseudonym and called him Kudo the whole night, no matter how much he corrected the Osakan. It annoyed him to no end, but little did either of them know that his lax attitude would come back to bite with much force behind it.

A couple of hijinks and incidents later and somehow Hattori Heiji was now proclaimed a hero for helping the boy group escape a Kaitou KID prank as well as retrieving the jewel. Their manager rewarded him with a couple of signatures and a few tickets for their next show. Hurray for him. Meanwhile, little old he got the short end of the stick, getting stuck in one of the traps due to being distracted by Heiji. He bet KID got a good laugh at his situation as glue, glitter, and powered paint had exploded everywhere on his person. That required a long two hour bath scrubbing away the filth to remove it from his body. Somehow the stuff was able to penetrate past the clothing and linger on his skin like a pen mark that just wouldn't wash out.

The next morning was quiet, Heiji got what he came for, they solved another murder, and he was gone by the end of the night. Calm peace for a few days once again. But that didn't last long because this article popped up and now Mouri Kogoro was at the door of his agency trying to keep out a large crowd gathered at his door. Mouri Ran was at their apartment door attempting to threaten the reports with her Karate, which normally would have worked if they weren't so overwhelmed with visitors flooding the stairs.

Through that stair hallway he could hear them raising a lot of questions:

"Is it true what the article online has said? Is Edogawa really just a false last name? Is he really the son of famed author Kudo Yusaku and or actress Kudo Yukiko? Did you know about this Mouri-san or were you also left in the dark about this revelation?"

"Enough! Conan is Conan, no matter who his parents are! He's only a child, just leave him alone!" He heard Ran yell and soon after the sound of something metallic, he guessed that means she punched the metal door and left a considerably large indent, enough to get the crowd to grow quiet.

He heard another voice, it was the Ojiisan, "Look, you best get out of here or I'll have the police arrest you for disturbing the peace and attempting to trespass on private property."

Though one brave and foolish soul asked the daring question, "Mouri Kogoro, you have been friends with the Kudos according to the past articles and sightings, so do you believe that Conan is the product of true love or did one of the Kudo's have a love child?"

No sooner was the question asked, the sirens wailed outside the agency, then the stamping of feet trying to run off rumbled through the building.

"Otou-san, do you really think…?"

"I don't know, Ran."

Next thing he hears is his Conan phone ringing with Haibara's name coming up, he picked it up and heard a very stern and mad, "Kudo-kun, what have you done?"

How was he going to get out of this one?

So this piece is definitely messy, I haven't corrected anything cause I typed this in one sitting, but yeah. Heiji is such a fun character, but really, has no one in the DCMK universe even thought of something so out there, that someone would put some facts together and mistakenly get half of the story correct? Edogawa Conan really being a Kudo, but them thinking either he is a secret second son or a secret child from another. Yep, that's the whole idea, and I ran with it.
