Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I..kinda forgot, as I was busy with school, family stuff and a couple other fics I'm working on. Here's your long overdue chapter 6!
SEQ. 4 (SIMBA/SCAR)
EXT. SCAR'S SUNNINGAREA - MINUTES LATER
Scar walksalong a cliff's edge. He kicks a small rock off.
Simba, pumped up by Zazu's speech, runs into frame.
"Kind of annoying when they disturb your napss, issn't it?" Ushari asked and Scar nodded.
SIMBA:
Hey, Uncle Scar! Guess what?
SCAR:
I despiseguessing games.
SIMBA:
undaunted
I'm gonna be king of Pride Rock!
"Well, with you being Mufasa's only kid, that's pretty obvious." Uncle Max pointed out.
SCAR:
underwhelmed
Oh goodie.
SIMBA:
My Dad just showed me the whole kingdom! And I'm gonna rule it all!
"Someone sure was excited." Sarafina commented. "Yes." Simba chuckled. .
SCAR:
Yes. Well, forgive me for not leaping for joy. Bad back, you know.
"Really?" Banzai asked. "You're not that old." Shenzi added. "I'm not! It's from an injury I got during my Guard days." Scar explained. "What happened?" Questioned Kiburi. "A cranky old water buffalo named Kula was hogging the water hole. My guard and I tried to ask her to move, but it didn't end well for us. And before anyone asks, no, that's not where my scar came from."
Scar flops down and rolls away from Simba. But the undaunted cubcomes back for more.
SIMBA:
Hey, Uncle Scar, when I'm king, what'll that make you?
SCAR:
A monkey's uncle.
Everyone snickered at that one.
SIMBA:
laughing
You're so weird.
SCAR:
You have no idea.
a beat
So your fathershowed you the whole kingdom, did he?
"Yup." Anga said.
SIMBA:
Everything!
SCAR:
He didn't show you what's beyond that rise at the northern border?
SIMBA:
Well, no.
miffed
He said I can't go there.
"For a very good reason!" Zazu huffed.
SCAR:
And he's absolutely right. It's far too dangerous. Only the bravest of lions go there.
"I'm the bravest there is! I'm sure I could handle wherever that is no problem." Bunga proclaimed. "Just you wait and see, Bunga." Nala replied.
SIMBA:
defensive
Well, I'm brave. What's out there?
SCAR:
I'm sorry, Simba, I just can't tell you.
SIMBA:
Why not?
Scar puts his massive paw gently on Simba's head.
SCAR:
Simba, Simba. I'm only looking out for the well-being of my favorite nephew.
Simba squirms free.
SIMBA:
Yeah, right. I'm your only nephew.
SCAR:
All the mоге reason for mе to be protective. An elephant graveyard is no place for a young prince.
a beat
Oops.
"You did that on purpose!" Shupavu hissed.
SIMBA:
An elephant what?
awed
Whoa!
"ELEPHANT GRAVEYARD?!" Everybody except Scar and the outlanders exclaimed.
SCAR:
Oh dear, I've said too much. I suppose you'd have found out sooner or later. You being so clever and all. Just do me one favor? Promise же you'll nevervisit that dreadful place.
"You're gonna go there, aren't you?" Sahasi smirked. "No spoilers, Sahasi!" Spirit said. "Sorry." He replied.
Scar hugs Simba tight.
SIMBA:
No problem.
SCAR:
There's a good lad. You run along now and have fun.
Scar givesSimba a little boot to start him on his way. Then he calls to Simba:
SCAR:
And remember:
It's our little secret.
"Secret, sure." Dusty said sarcastically. "Speaking of which, we need to talk." Spirit said. The two siblings paused the movie and went into the other room, which had thankfully cleared out after the fart fiasco. "Is this about.." Dusty asked. "Yes. Him." She stated. "When should we bring him in? Sooner is better than later." He asked. 'I don't know. I'm thinking around Hakuna Matata maybe? It's going to be quite a shock for the others to see him when we do get him here." Spirit replied. "Yeah, you can say that again. We'll figure it out later. For now, we have a show to watch." Dusty said. "Yeah, you're right." "Aren't I always?" "Oh shut up." Spirit playfully shoved him as the two walked back to the theater.
