Naia walked into the Dupain Cheng Bakery and was overwhelmed by the cacophony of wonderful scents that flooded her nose. The girl's face instantly lit up with a broad smile and she walked up to the front counter to talk to Sabine Cheng,

"Hello Mrs Cheng, I'm Naia, a friend of Marinette's. I was wondering if I could go and talk to her about something she and I are planning?"

Sabine smiled, "Of course you can, head right on up. And dear, please call me Sabine, I may be a mother but my mother is still Mrs Cheng in my mind."

The girl in blue walked past her and up the stairs, calling, "Thank you Sabine!" behind her.

Naia walked up the stairs and knocked on the apartment door. The blue clad wall that was Tom Dupain opened it,

"Hello sir, I'm a friend of Marinette's. I'm sorry to arrive unannounced but could I talk to her please?"

"Of course," he beamed, "Marinette! You have a friend here to talk to you!", he turned back to Naia, "Why don't you head up for some privacy?"

Naia gave him a large grin, "Will do sir,"

"Tom, not sir."

"Tom." Naia walked up the stairs to Marinette's trap door.

"Hey Marinette," Naia said as she pushed the door up over her head. Marinette jumped and fell out of her seat,

"Wha- Huh? Oh, it's you, Hey Naia," Tikki came out of her hiding spot and relaxed on Marinettes shoulder, "What's up?"

"Has Nadia Chamack asked you to babysit anytime soon?"

"No, why?" Marinette seemed playfully suspicious.

"Because you aren't going to be available when she asks you to babysit during the first live episode of her primetime show. You, the cat and I will all be on screen doing an interview on said show. Don't try to worm your way out of it, just think of it as a chance to reassure Parisians that we're doing all we can against Hawkmoth. Don't worry about prying questions on identity or the mess that is you and Cat Noir's love lives but I swear to every god I do and don't believe in, I will throw up if she asks about a potential romance between me and kitty. He is literally as much a brother to me as Adrien is."

Marinette giggled.

"Originally you mixed up the dates and promised to be in two places at once and that helped to cause an Akuma, along with freaking out over her insistence that you and Cat Noir were a secret couple. This time try to refrain from over reacting and let me handle any questions you're uncomfortable with. And when Nadia turns up, please explain that you already have plans to hang out with me. Also, please don't recommend Alya to babysit, 1) she would NOT be able to cope with Manon and the twosome terrors; and 2) they would be incredibly disruptive to the show in a manner I would not do an adequate job describing."

Marinette nodded, "Okay. Wait let me just see if I got all that, we're doing a live interview with Nadia Chamack, I don't have to worry about questions on my identity or me and Cat Noir's relationship, I need to turn down my next Babysitting job and can't reccomend Alya. Is that all?"

Wolf girl shrugged, "Basically,"

There was a knock on the trap door and the two girls looked up from the positions they had on the chaise, Marinette called for who, she assumed was her dad, to come in only to be shocked by the appearance of a recently discussed knews anchor.

"Mrs Chamack! What a lovely surprise, we were just talking about you and your new show."

Nadia smiled, "I love to hear it, I'm actually here on a closely related matter. Would you mind awfully, Babysitting Manon for me that night?"

Marinette froze up and began stuttering worse than if Adrien had walked into her room, " A-a-actuallyyyy Mrs Chamack, I- uh, I kind of al-already ha- ha- ha- have plllla-"

Naia cut in to save Marinette from accidentally agreeing after finishing her unintelligible excuse, "Mari and I have already made plans for that night, even before that you'd got your show. We are spending the afternoon at the roller-rink and are spending our evening at the Sunset Jazz Club. It's the only night I'm free, so we can't reschedule."

The family friend blinked, "Such a shame, it would be inappropriate for Manon to intrude on your time together and she wouldn't be allowed in either place anyway. I don't believe we've met, I'm Nadia Chamack."

"Naia Callisto, Mrs Chamack."

They shook hands, "Pleasure to meet you Naia, I'm sure that since you're friends with Marinette, you're a brilliant person."

Nadia took her leave and Marinette turned to her companion,

"Nice excuse, how'd you come up with it so fast?"

Naia smirked, "I didn't make them up on the spot. We are actually gonna go do those things, just not both this Friday."

By the time Friday had arrived Naia had accomplished quite a lot off her to do list. She had gotten Max into her house to firewall her computer under the pretext that he was helping her and Adrien finish off a presentation, Max had left 250 euros richer. She had made her Akuma timeline and was begining to plan out how to diffuse all the unnecessary Akumas.

She'd attended her first fencing lesson and had astounded Armand D'Argencour with her skill. In her royal blue fencing uniform she had defeated every one of her classmates and even had a 15 minute spar with the man himself. By the end the nimble wolf had only just begun to sweat and D'argencour, after learning that she had been fencing since she had turned four, was driving his students even harder than ever.

She had excelled in archery too. Mademoiselle Montellièr had seen fit to enrol her into the intermediate class. . . until she saw a demo of what Naia could do. Naia had gravitated towards the moving targets instantly and had parkour-d her way through an obstacle course that was set up next to them, shooting arrows all the while and marking bullseyes each and every time. Then after a quick call to Natalie she was transferred to Monsieur Atettelìon who was still sceptical until she grabbed a set of 5 wooden arrows and in 20 seconds flat, shot them all through the same target, splitting eachother in half right on the bullseye. It was safe to say that Archery was not a class but a practice area for her.

Guitar was not different from Adrien's piano practice in any way except for the fact that it was on the guitar. She had spent multiple days practicing every piece that came to mind and recording three hour long audio clips to make it more accurate to a lesson than Adrien's MP3 player.

Naia had attended her fitting on tuesday and had attended her first photoshoot that Thursday. It had turned out to be a solo practice shoot and so she was wearing her normal outfit. Adrien was there for moral support and she was glad he had come; not at all because she was scared, but because after 10 minutes she internally wanted to throttle Vincent with his Spaghetti. Naia liked pasta, it was one of her favourite foods, and even she didn't go on and on about it like the Italian photographer.

Friday was a free day for the children of the Agreste household and they were free to do what they wanted unless Gabriel had an event. They weren't to do anything obnoxious and they had to conform with Natalie if they were going anywhere and the Gorilla, whose name was apparently Damien, had to drive them. But they were relatively free. Naia had continued to do her lunchtime escapades to the Place des Vosages, and had made roughly 2500 euros over the week with her combination of classics, unreleased songs, current music, variations of the theme and her own pieces. She had even spied the Couffaine siblings sitting in on her 'sets'.

Marinette and Naia sat in Damien's car outside of the roller rink, Naia's skates over her shoulder. The girl had traded her skirt, corset and button up for a pair of grey, ripped, skinny jeans and a scoop neck, blue t-shirt with a chunky e-girl belt. She kept her leather jacket and layered a flannel underneath it. Marinette was still in her normal outfit, it was classic, and looked like she was ready to run away screaming.

Naia snapped her fingers under the girls nose and she jolted out of her daze,

"Hey!" her expression softened from amusement to comfort, "Nervous?"

Marinette nodded,

"Well that's just bullshit. Marinette Dupain Cheng, the girl who designed Jagged Stone's album cover at age 13, niece of the world's greatest chef," she lowered her tone, "Secret superhero," she regained volume, "Is scared to go roller blading? No."

"But what if, what if I-"

"Stop it. Take a deep breath, back away from the spiral and follow my voice as we think this through."

Marinette took a deep breath in and exhaled slowly.

"Good, now listen to me. You are Marinette Dupain-mother fucking- Cheng. You became the first person to master the yoyo as a weapon and method of transportation. Yes?" Marinette nodded.

"You can Ice skate can't you?" Another nod from the Ladybug hero,

"There are three differences between Ice skating and roller-blading:

1) it's easier to roll away because there is less resistance.

2) you need less momentum, otherwise you will skate into a walk or trip over the edge, and

3) you're on wheels and not blades, good luck walking in those when you've never done it before."

Marinette looked slightly better.

"You dont have to do anything complex, leave that to the experts like me. Once you get the hang of it you can get lost in the music while you skate around in circles if you like, I'll join you and we can grab some junk food as a snack at 5, we need to be out of there by 6 so I can drop my skates off at home and sneak out without Adrien or Gabe and Nat knowing. Since you cover storie is that you're hanging out with me you'll need to stay out for that hour after I'm gone, you cold head to the studio when there's about 20 minutes left."

Marinette opened her eyes having noticed them close and gave Naia a a slightly larger smile. The two girls excited the car and walked arm in arm, into the roller blading arena.
