Naia and Adrien were told on Thursday that they had a photoshoot at the Trocadéro that Saturday and the first thing that Naia did the morning of, was call Marinette.

Ring...

Ring...

Ring...

"Hello?" the voice of the sweet Baker girl rang out.

"Hi Mari, I'm just calling to tell you to abandon operation secret garden."

The girl squeaked, "How did you know about that? I only JUST told the girls the name of the operation 2 seconds before you called!"

The phsycic laughed, "Marinette, did you forget where I'm from?"

She could feel Marinette hanging her head through the phone, "Right, future. Back to operation secret garden, why should we abandon it?"

"Because it is majorly flawed. For one, Damien will not be deterred by being told to leave. He will just start circling around the square. Secondly, I'm at the shoot too and although I will definitely be third wheeling your first date when it happens, Adrien is literally so oblivious that if I join you outright or I didn't come at all he would still think you're just hanging out as friends. I'm helping him realise that he's suppressing his crush on you but he needs to realise that he fancies you and vice versa, before there can be anything too romantic. And finally, Gabriel and all of his megalomaniac esque controlling behaviour would interrupt you before you even got on that rickshaw."

Marinette was silent.

"Oh and you also would inadvertently cause the most ridiculous akuma to date. Even over Mr Pigeon."

"Wow, just wow. I don't know what to say to that."

Naia stood by Mr D'Argencourt while all the hopeful tryouts for the fencing team began to battle the class.

"Remind me again why thee is not out there fighting?" D'Argencourt asked the blue clad girl.

"There is no one for me to currently battle. Besides, the Tsurugi family just moved to Paris. Their daughter is bound to try out, she just isn't here yet." she responded passively.

For the next few minutes the two walked around, giving their approval or correcting the tryouts' stances.

"Hey, you! Are you Mr. D'Argencourt, the fencing master?" Said master nodded, "I wanna join your team."

"Only the best are admitted here, you knave." He said in his dignified, and frankly 'holier than thou' tone.

"And I was, everywhere I went." the figure figure in red boasted.

"Part le fer! This whippersnapper has nerve! All right! I may consider your admission, shall you defeat one of my students."

"Which one of you is the best combatant?!" the figure, who only Naia knew was female, demanded.

The girl stepped forward, "I am."

"Naia, please give our visitor a lesson in chivalry." Armand asked smugly.

"I shall master, though not on your terms. I have been fencing since I could walk and appreciate the fight grossly over the outcome. Should our friend prove herself a worthy combatant via her skill, I demand you accept her."

The rest of the class reeled in shock at the revalation that this fencer was a woman and Kagami's posture faltered as if mildly insulted that this person had even suggested that she would not win. Then Kagami considered what she had said, 'I have been fencing since I could walk,'. There was nothing in her tone that betrayed dishonesty, in fact, she sounded as if this was something she was not proud of. Being such a capable fencer was an honour, yet she spoke it as if it was a curse.

"Very well," Armand Agreed, "No requirement for the machine then."

The two women prepared to fight and Kagami flourished her saber and body unnecessarily and in what she perceived as an intimidating manner. This was her weakness, Naia noted, she was intense and intimidating and that granted her an advantage to those who were intimidated. Naia was not one of those people but Kagami had not taken the time to register that factor.

Naia decided to join in on her game. She did not draw her blade at first, but sprang into a full twist and drew her blade as she landed in her starting position. The class gasped, she was putting on a show and doing incredibly well.

"PrĂȘt... allez" D'Argencourt called and the two fences sprang into action.

Naia began with a flying lunge that Kagami parried easily. She the Japanese girl attempted to attack in an incredibly complicated way which was easily deflected. She feinted a lunge but attacked with a remise. Kagami fought back and defended well. Back and forth the battle swayed for minutes at a time in one or the others favour. After the 10 minute mark they had battled their way into the library and Naia was still going strong whereas Kagami was weakening slightly. She now treated this battle as if she was dueling her mother but still she had no hope to win.

Naia decided to finish her battle while she was still at her peak. She leant back as if falling beneath Kagami's saber balanced on her hand as she plunged her blade into the air to meet her opponent's momentum filled body. A classic Passata Sotto. Kagami stumbled and her classmates and teacher burst into cheers. Naia and Adrien walked over too the girl in red and helped her up.

"I think it's safe to say that you made the team, only one other person has lasted more than five minutes against me and that's D'Argencourt himself."

She looked comforted at that, "But I still lost."

"Honey, 11 years of training from 2 slave drivers will make you inhumanly good at anything. Now, what's your name?" Naia smiled.

"Kagami,"

"Welcome to the club Kagami," A two children of the Agreste home chorused.
