Tough Election Before Lunchtime
"I'm off…" Izuku announced though looking tired and feels like he's in a lot of pain even though he's physically fine, but he got no response from his mother and big sister because they already left home a while ago before him.
"Oh man, last night was really intense for me and not letting out at all was torture." Izuku exclaimed.
"At least I won't have to worry about that again, but I won't be able to see all of my All Might stuff for a week and no news about him too." Izuku cried a little.
"Maybe I'll feel a little better once I get to school." Izuku hoped.
(UA High, Front Gate)
Or maybe not.
"Hey, you! Can you tell us what it's like to work so closely with All Might?" A news report woman asked Izuku.
"Sorry, ma'am. I really have to get to class otherwise my mom will scold me for being late." Izuku said as he walks away.
"Wait, I recognize you now! You're the son of Doctor Pink-Samurai and the younger brother of Nurse Blue Hitter!" One cameraman gasped, recognizing Izuku from the sludge villain incident and a few other things.
"BYE!" Izuku zoomed away with his Quirk. He always felt nervous when it comes to being surrounded by the cameras, it was always like that for his family being Pro Heroes and all.
The news report woman moves on to the next student.
"Are you one of All Might's students? Tell us—what's the Symbol of Peace like in person?" She asked Ochaco.
"Um… What's he like? Well… Uh—He's super muscle-y. Yeah!" Ochaco answered nervously and flex her arms a bit for the All Might pose.
"How is he faring as a teacher; what are you learning?" The female reporter asked now onto Tenya.
"His leadership and wisdom remind me on a daily basis that I attend the world's most prestigious educational institution. Of course, he's the personification of honor and integrity that one would expect, but he's also not afraid to show his students a more humorous side. It's truly a unique opportunity to be under the direct tutelage of the pro we all admire." Tenya went on like giving a long speech, not exactly what the reporters are looking for.
They went to ask the next student they see.
"Excuse me, kid! Are you in All Might's class? Oh, hold on." The reporter woman started to recognize Katsuki from somewhere. "Aren't you that sludge villain kid?"
"Walk away." Katsuki glared without even looking at the woman which send fear down her spine.
"All Might is really exciting to have as a teacher! Though I don't think he has much experience, and we don't even have with him today either." Orihna said to the reporter.
"As my friend said, this is All Might's first-time teaching, and it could be a good thing for him." Arashi smiled.
"Please, sir. Can you get All Might for us? Also, you look like a mess, what's your deal?" The news reporter woman asked Aizawa, commenting on his messy looks too.
"All Might's not on campus today. Now get out of here, you've disturbed my students enough already." Aizawa said and then walks away.
"W-Wait! My viewers wanna know how he's adjusting to life as a teacher!" The reporter woman yelled.
"I feel like I've seen that guy somewhere before. But where?" One male reporter asked.
"Maybe he's one of those underground heroes." Another male reporter guessed.
"Maybe, but I don't know. He's a bit scruffy for a hero…" The reporter woman commented.
"(How does All Might get anything done with this media circus stepping on his cape?)" Aizawa thought wondered the patient and willpower All Might had to go through with the media.
"All right… If you won't bring All Might out, I'll—"
"Hey, wait!" The camera man shouted for her to stop.
Suddenly the gate has been shut by layers of iron barriers as she activated the UA security barrier system to keep the press out.
"Hey! What's going on?!" The female reporter gasped that she almost gotten hurt from this and fell on her knees.
"Don't you know about the school's defenses? This gate is the UA Barrier." The cameraman mentioned.
"Defenses? It practically killed me!" The reporter woman proclaimed, even though that was almost her own fault.
"Yeah, well, it's designed to stop anyone who doesn't have a student ID or special pass from entering the campus. Guess it works. Apparently, there are security sensors like this all over the place." The cameraman explained.
"Keeping the public out. This school thinks it's untouchable!" The reporter woman angered.
"The leas they could do is grant me one interview." The reporter woman complained.
"I know, right? We've been here for two days, and I don't have a single comment on the record yet." The cameraman agreed with his partner.
Izuku: The news that All Might had been hired as a faculty member at UA took the entire nation by surprise. Naturally, the media swarmed the school in search of a story. Everyone wanted to get their hands on All Might. Yeah. Everyone.
Just across the street of the UA school and the crowd of reporters, there is a single man standing on the sidewalk looking at the school and yet, there is something dark about this one.
(Class 1-A)
"Decent work on yesterday's combat training, you guys." Aizawa said to his students.
"I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results." Aizawa then looked over to Katsuki.
"Bakugo. You're talented, so don't sulk like a child about your loss, okay?" Aizawa scolded.
"Yeah, whatever." Katsuki groaned.
"And Midoriya." Aizawa said, making Izuku flinch as he tries to calm himself down as much as possible.
"I saw how you fought Bakugo though you clearly missed out on a few opportunities to capture him and such, and it looked like you were about to break your body again in that final clash if Asui hadn't won the match." Aizawa pointed out.
"Y-Yeah…" Izuku nodded, admitting the truth nervously.
"I'm pretty sure your mom has already told you to get better controlled of your Quirk, so try doing that and your Quirk will be useful in battle and perhaps other things in the hero work." Aizawa said.
"Yes, sir! I promise!" Izuku nodded.
"Let's get down to business. Our first task will decide your future." Aizawa informed.
"(Is it another Quirk test?)" The students thought worried.
"You all need to pick a class representative." Aizawa said.
"(Oh good, just normal school stuff!)" The students thought sighed in relief.
"Pick me, guys! I wanna be class rep!" Eijiro smiled, wanting the position.
"I'll do it." Denki raised his hand.
"Yeah, you're gonna need me." Kyoka said, also raising her hand.
"Someone with style would be best." Yuga proclaimed, but Mina interrupted him at the end.
"I'm, like, totally the right pick!" Mina excitedly.
"No way! I'm going to be class representative because I got the cuteness to boot!" Oriha winked in a cute way.
"Are you not gonna try wanting the position?" Mikoto asked Yuu who isn't raising her hand.
"Oh no, I'm not really big on the whole leadership thing." Yuu said nervously.
Izuku: In a normal classroom, a representative's duties would just be a bunch of extra work. But here in the Hero Course, there's more to it. It's a way to get noticed by agencies and prove you can lead a team like a real pro.
Izuku looks around seeing his classmates trying to get themselves selected to be class rep even though some of them don't exactly scream leader, but he also wants the position hoping that he could get somewhere with this.
But just as Izuku was about to raise his hand, Tenya spoke.
"Silence, everyone, please!" Tenya shouted. This got everyone to stop yelling and turn their attention on him.
"The class representative's duty is to lead others. That's not something just anyone can do, you must first have the trust of every student in the classroom. Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically." Tenya stated.
"We will hold an election to choose our leader!" Tenya suggested, with his right hand raise in the air.
"It's pretty obvious you want us to vote for you." The other students pointed out the obvious.
"Is this really the bet idea?" Denki wondered.
"We've only known each other for a few days, how do we know who we can trust?" Tsuyu pointed out.
"Besides, everyone'll just vote for themselves." Eijiro added.
"Most people will, but that means whoever does receive multiple votes must truly be the most suitable person for the job." Tenya explained.
"It's the best way, right, sir?" Tenya asked the teacher who just zip up his sleeping bag.
"Do what you want, just decide before my nap's over." Aizawa said before falling into his nap.
"Thank you for your trust!" Tenya thanked.
"Well, it looks like we're doing an election, after all." Mikoto said.
"To be honest, I actually have someone in mind who I want to be our class representative." Yuu said, pressing her fingers together.
"Really now? Maybe I should do that too." Oriha said.
(Ten Minutes Later)
The voting casts are in, and it has been written on the chalkboard to show the results of who got the most votes, and the top two who got the most votes are Izuku Midoriya with five votes and Momo Yaoyorozu with only three votes.
"How did I get five votes!" Izuku shocked.
"Okay, you idiots, who voted for him?" Katsuki demanded in rage.
"What? Did you honestly think anyone was gonna vote for you?" Hanta said.
"I'm afraid your harsh behavior would not be suited to being a leader when you're always angry and you don't seem to care for others. That is not the quality of a hero." Mikoto scolded which only made Katsuki angrier and proved her point.
"(Maybe I'll just keep my vote to myself.)" Ochaco thought whistled innocently.
"Zero votes…" Tenya groaned, his body shaking from not having a single vote for himself.
"I feared this might happen, but I can't argue with the system I chose!" Tenya said to himself while his classmates look at him a little weirded out.
"So, you voted for someone else, huh?" Momo guessed correctly.
"But you knew it was the best to vote for yourself, right? What were you tryin' to prove here, Iida?" Rikido asked.
"I think he believes that he isn't worthy of the leadership role just yet and saw someone who is more fitting to it." Arashi believed.
Izuku, shaking nervously while trying to process that he got the most votes, and Momo are standing together in front of their classmates.
"Alright, the class rep is Midoriya, and our deputy is Yaoyorozu." Aizawa declared.
"Really? Uh, it's not a mistake?" Izuku asked, shaking like a leaf of being suddenly nominated as leader of Class 1-A.
"How'd this happen?" Momo sighed.
"I think Izuku is a good choice. Ribbit." Tsuyu smiled.
"Yeah, I can get behind Midoriya, I guess." Eijiro smiled, agreeing to this.
"Yaoyorozu was totally on top of it when it came to our training results!" Denki mentioned.
"Yes, I believe those two will work well together." Momo nodded.
Meanwhile, Tenya just sat at his desk quietly feeling sad that he didn't win though think it's for the best as he may not be ready to be a leader just yet.
(Lunchtime)
"Hmm, it's always so crowed in here." Ochaco noticed as she looks around the cafeteria.
"That's because students in the support, management, and hero course all share the same cafeteria." Tenya explained.
"Wow, Lunch Rush's food is so good! I might even have to ask him to make a little dish for my dad's café!" Yuu amazed with the exploding taste in her mouth.
"I know, just this bowl of rice is so good!" Ochaoc agreed.
"Ribbit, even the meat is good too!" Tsuyu smiled, nodding.
Izuku let out a little sigh thinking about the voting and him being class rep wondering if he really deserves to be in that position.
"Guys, I'm kinda worried about the class rep thing, I'm not really sure if I very suited for the job." Izuku said, worried that he might mess up.
"No, I think you'll do great! You have this cool thing going on around you, it's why I voted for you." Yuu revealed, blushing.
"Huh, you voted for me?" Izuku shocked.
"I voted for you too." Tsuyu said, shocking Izuku again.
"I thought about how kind you are, like the time when you helped me find my little sister when we first met. And you've also shown that you have the power with that kindness." Tsuyu explained her reason of voting for him.
"But can I really do this?" Izuku asked.
"Sure, I think you'll do great." Ochaco nodded.
"You'll be fine." Tenya said.
"Your courage and quick thinking under stress will help you make a worthy leader, not to mention the strength you've demonstrated. Those are the reasons I voted for you, at least." Tenya revealed himself to be one of the three voters.
"You were one of the five?" Izuku shocked.
"Didn't you wanna be class rep really badly, I mean you do look the part. 'Cause of the glasses." Ochaco commented.
"Ochaco, that was very rude!" Yuu gasped.
"(Yeah, that's not exactly how we should be choosing our rep.)" Izuku thought nervously at Ochaco.)" Izuku thought agreed with Yuu on this one.
"That's right, you seem to really want everyone to vote for you since the election was your idea." Oriha said as she, Mikoto, and Arashi came up to them.
"Wanting a job and being suited to it are quite different things. Observing the Iida family's hero agency has taught me that much." Tenya said.
"Agency?" Izuku, Ochaco, Tsuyu, Yuu, Oriha, Mikoto, and Arashi said at the same time they are surprised to hear Tenya mention his family has a hero agency.
"Hold on, what does your family do?" Izuku asked.
"Oh, it's… nothing." Tenya tried to brush off the subject, but it was too late.
"Not so fast, I already figured out that you come from a family of heroes. Not to mention who you are related to." Arashi smirked, that causes Tenya to gasp.
"(Oh mother of all heroes, he knows!)" Tenya thought surprised that he has been found out.
"Come on, you can tell us." Oriha said with cute pleading eyes.
"Uh—I was afraid people would treat me differently if they knew about my family." Tenya said looking away, but his three friends continue staring at him as their curiosity could not calm down.
"You know they're not gonna stop until you talk, right?" Mikoto pointed out.
"With no other choice, Tenya reveals to his friends what his family life and work they really do.
"You see, the Iidas have been Pro Heroes for generations. It runs in our blood." Tenya revealed.
"What? That's awesome!" Izuku and Ochaco amazed.
"Wow, that're more than I expected coming from you." Tsuyu commented.
"Oh wow, I can't believe I'm classmates with a guy whose whole family are heroes! This is the coolest thing that ever happened to me!" Yuu excitedly.
"Are the three of you familiar with the Turbo Hero: Ingenium?" Tenya asked.
"I know all about him! He's a super-popular pro with 65 sidekicks working alongside him at his Tokyo agency!" Izuku smiled excitingly.
"Hero fanboy on the loose." Tsuyu said making Izuku blush.
"I knew there was something about you when we met, and that hero costume is very familiar Ingenium. Which can only mean one thing…" Arashi paused on purpose for Tenya to do the revealing.
""He's my elder brother!" Tenya revealed proudly.
"Your family's famous!" Ochaco squealed.
"I can't believe it!" Izuku shouted of excitement.
"It must be very exciting to follow in the footsteps of your big brother and family. Not to mention the willpower to carry on the legacy." Arashi said as Tenya nodded at him.
"Ingenium is an unmatched commander who honors the hero code. As the second oldest Iida son, I strive to be just like him." Tenya smiled thinking of how proud he is of his big brother before sitting back down.
"However, I think it might be a bit soon for me to be in a real leadership role. You, for example: you figured out what the judges were looking for in the practical exam. A rep needs that sort of insight." Tenya smiled at Izuku, then he notices the three are looking at him surprisingly.
"That's the first time I've seen you smile, Tenya!" Ochaco said thinking it looks good on him.
"Yeah, yeah, you should totally be cheeful!" Oriha nodded.
"What're you talking about? I smile all the time." Tenya proclaimed.
"(Iida wants to be like Ingenium in the same way I want to be like All Might, but he shouldn't be so hard on himself. I was clueless in that test.)" Izuku thought decided to tell Tenya what really happened to him on the practical exam.

The election of class representative has come with Izuku surprisingly getting the most votes with Momo as his second-in-command, and the friends' group even learned about Tenya coming from a whole family of heroes! Pretty exciting when enjoying a meal together!
