Chapter 51: The Next Test and Scheduling
Candace's POV
We are now currently inside this testing area where we were about to test our weapons… or abilities, or whatever the hell you call them.
I was still skeptical about the fact that I'm working with the blonde rascal to grab the rest of the stones in order to rescue the world from destruction, but I couldn't refrain from doing this over doing interviews with reporters and meeting with my fans and signing their autographs and things of that nature. I might not be as quite intelligent as the others in these sorts of things, but if I want more fans to pay attention to me, I have to take that major step in my life and make my parents proud.
I have a feeling they are going to be extremely pissed off about me doing this. But in the end, if I don't do this, my life is over and so are theirs and I have nobody to blame but myself.
"So you two seem to know each other?" The girl named… Kinsley… I think… asked the both of us. Yeah, I think that's what her name is. Don't judge me.
"Y-Yeah, I guess you could say that." I said with a sweatdrop.
"Well… we did bring a lot of entertainment to the Royal Rally. In case you've missed it. Our battle was something special. You should've seen it." Gemma said with that embarrassing, annoying precious look on her face.
"I'm not the one that is into these types of stuff, but… I guess if I have time I'll take a look at it."
"Yeah. Give it a watch. It was an instant classic. Mind-Blowing even."
"Are you really going to talk about this the whole time? Everybody knows you're still a choke artist." I asked with a sweatdrop.
"Come on, Candace. I'm still lovable as a character."
"Then why didn't you prove you were "lovable" when you lost to me three straight times?"
"I have the utmost respect for everyone, even you."
"You get in my way numerous times, stealing my fans. How is that showing respect?"
"I'm not a thief. No one's trying to steal fans. Fans are just fans. You're still popular, yourself."
"That's not the– you know what, never mind. Allies shouldn't fight over other topics. Be lucky I'm putting this to rest." I whispered with a pissed-off look.
"So what were your setups?" Kinsley asked.
"I'm currently a "Pure Wind Brawler". I want to defend myself physically." I said.
"And I'm a "Pure Electric Magician". It's perfect for being a heroine after all." Gemma said.
Being a "Pure Electric Magician" makes you a heroine?
"Wait a minute, Kinsley, is it?! W-Why do you have a gun in your back pocket?!" Gemma asked, looking very shocked and worried.
"Wait a minute, a gun?" I asked, looking shocked after Gemma said that.
"A gun? Oh… That's because it's my setup." Kinsley said as she took the gun out her back pocket. "My setup is "Shooting Fire Swordfighter". But don't be alarmed. It just shoots lasers. It doesn't shoot actual bullets. I saw it when I first read the details of guns."
"Then why the hell does that look extremely real?!" I asked as I was pointing at the dangerous item.
"I don't know. I might have to ask that Lunia lady."
*LOUD BUZZ*
"Oh my god, that scared the living hell out of me! Why did I even sign up for this?" I said after some buzzer that was really loud almost gave me a heart attack.
"Yeah! That really scared me too!" Gemma said, feeling the same way.
*THE TEST RUN WILL BEGIN SHORTLY. PLEASE HAVE YOUR WEAPONS AND/OR ABILITIES READY AT THIS TIME.*
"Thank you, lady, but just a heads-up would be nice!" I said with an agitated look.
"Looks like our test run is starting. Get ready, you two!" Kinsley said as she was readying her sword.
"Alright! Time for my first fight! I don't like fighting people, but this is for the United Kingdom!" Gemma shouted as started creating electricity already.
"Let's see how this goes. Hopefully I get to pound my foes into bits and make them bow down to me." I said while cracking my knuckles.
*THE TEST RUN WILL NOW BEGIN ON MY MARK.*

*START!*
We now started to see three dark-grey human figures, with light-blue eyes that were glowing, appearing right in front of us from the ground. All of them had the same weapons and/or abilites that we had.
"Human figures." Gemma said as she was surprised to see them.
"So you three are my opponents. Time for you to die." Kinsley said as she was preparing her sword.
"Get ready to meet my combat skills, you lunatics!" I shouted with confidence.
The three human figures started to charge at us with whatever they got and our test run was underway. All of us blocked their attacks from creating contact towards us, nullifying any damage to our bodies.
This is just a warm-up. I need to learn to get used to this stuff.
Kaze's POV
"So we have 2 more days until the Stone of Healing appears." Scarlett said as she was reading her tablet. "This adventure is going to be a wacky, dramatic, crazy journey. We're gonna have to take gameplans and training seriously. These enemies that are in the Mushroom Kingdom are not going to be easy."
"Oh I know that, Scar. My guns are locked and loaded so we should bust down whatever enemies the mastermind delivers." Darius said as he was touching and feeling his weapons.
"Look, they aren't like bugs you can squash, so you have to be mentally and physically prepared for what's coming." Scarlett said with a sweatdrop.
"I know that! I'm just sayin'. They ain't got nothing on me! It's just like Call of Duty. I know my shooting abilities."
"You play too many shooting games." Scarlett said with a bigger sweatdrop.
"Are you sure the enemies are gonna be the same though? I think I'm going to be experiencing some new foes." Blue asked.
"I don't think so. The active villain in that dimension hasn't appeared in months so it's likely that new forces are going to appear."
"The active villain. You mean Bowser?" Blue asked.
"But, he's usually after Princess Peach. It's surprising he's out of the picture. He should be there sometime in the future." Kris said.
"True. But, according to the Mushroom Kingdom, there is no sight of him. Or… he might be working for the mastermind too. I know he's hiding something." Scarlett said.
"Yeah. I agree. Just like Satan and Ecolo." I said after hearing what Scarlett said.
"Right. And I think he's gonna perform the same plan both of them did. We can't have that stone in his crosshairs."
"But what do we do if one sees us catching that stone?" Alexis asked.
"We can't let anyone think of us as intruders." Zack said.
"We're only gonna give them a piece of information." Scarlett said. "We have to make them believe us since we're the only ones with the firepower that the entire Mushroom Kingdom needs. Princess Peach can't do it all by herself."
"You sure she's not to be trusted, even with her ability to fight?" Darius asked.
"We're gonna make her join us. We just don't know how we'll get her to join in however." Scarlett said with a sweatdrop.
That one's gonna be tough to decide. She is a princess after all.
Gemma's POV
"Y-You're good… b-but… it's not… enough… to best… ME!" I shouted as I charged up more power on my magic to send my opponent as far as he could with him being electrocuted severely. "*pant* *pant* That was super effective."
"Explain to me how you're this good with your powers?!" Candace shouted as she was blocking her opponent's attacks.
"It's just work in progress, Candace! Keep going!" I said to her as I was trying to give her support.
"He's not done yet, you know!" Kinsley said to me as she noticed my human figure still alive while still fighting off her own human figure.
"I have to destroy him completely?"
"Yes! Why do you think this is a test run?!"

…
"Well… I have to get stronger so… ok, I'll do it."
I went over to the "still electrocuted" human figure and…
"Sorry, human figure. Time to put you away!" I said as I was now growing an electric aura around me.
Soon after I jumped as high as I could as I started aiming for the body, but then as soon I did just that, the figure started to roll over, dodging my jumping attack that could've been really really painful for it.
And soon after, I got hit on the leg with something very hot, it was starting to burn.
"Owie!" I winced in pain when I noticed the pain in my leg.
"Shit! Shit! Sorry, Gemma! That was on me!" Kinsley said as she was furious by her actions. It was her weapon that she fired to hit me in the leg.
That hurt…
Soon after, I got launched by the human figure with physical force, sending me a few feet back from where it was. Then afterwards, its aura started to grow as it was about to do a ton of damage to my body.
But then I started to get back on my feet to fight off whatever significant attack it was about to perform.
"Alright! Give me your best shot! I won't give up, no matter what you do!" I shouted with confidence as we resumed our battle.
Kaze's POV
"So how are you guys feeling about traveling to different dimensions?" Kris asked the both of us.
"It's still mind-blowing. Stuff like this isn't supposed to be real, but yet… it's real. And you're real." I said.
"And it's surprising to meet a rare combination of girls having purple eyes, blue eyes, purple hair and blue hair. It's like you two are a special combination." Darius said, looking mind-blown.
"We barely met each other. It hasn't been a month yet."
"But we're getting there. It's just there's a few other things that we haven't learned about each other." Blue said.
"I can't believe there's gonna be 10 people doing this huge mission. It's like we have an army now." Darius said.
"But you know, now that I think of you Alexis, no offense, but you remind me of Candace."
"I remind you of Candace?" Alexis asked, looking confused. "Well… for starters, Candace was my pick to win the Royal Rally. I watched the whole thing and let's just say her teammates were pathetic. They screwed her up big time."
"Wait a minute… you watched the Royal Rally?" Darius asked.
"Yeah. I almost pooped my pants watching that insane final round. Completely rigged… but I'm nothing like her. I like being who I am."
"Don't let her personality fool you, Blue. It's just one of those moments where she starts turning into a 5 year old." Darius said.
"You'll just have to wait and see. It'll come sooner or later." Kris said.
"I'll smack you both for that!" Alexis shouted in anger.
"Yeah… Candace and Alexis are kinda alike."
"Don't compare me to her! I'm nothing like her, like I said!" She shouted at me, while blushing.
"What's wrong with comparisons? There may be some people who are related to your personality." Scarlett said to her.
"I'm fine with being compared… but to be like others is just not right!"
"Alright. Whatever you say."
Yeah, I think Candace and Alexis will get along perfectly.
Kinsley's POV
*CLING SOUND 6X*
"You just won't back down, huh? Interesting. This won't be easy for you." I said as I was still fighting that human figure that was still alive.
*POW*
I kicked its leg with all my leg with all my force and then…
*SLICE SOUND 4X*
*BANG*
I slashed the human figure with all of my force and shot it in the chest, leaving it with a crazy amount of blood that looked light-blue. In my mind, I thought it was going to be red, but instead, it turned out to be light-blue. But it was still alive for some reason.
It's not enough. I need to do more.
*BANG* *BANG*
After a few more shots to the chest, The human figure was now destroyed and erased completely. It was a pain for a few minutes but I managed to get it out of the way.
"*sigh* One down." I said while rubbing my head.
"You're starting to piss me off." Candace said as she was still fighting that human figure.
She then started to push off the human figure with all of her force, and all of the sudden…
*POW*
She then punched it in the face…
*POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW* *POW*
And started to proceed with a rapid amount of punches that were so fast to dodge at the point where the human figure was heavily stunned.
"Now for my princessly finale…"
She then proceeded to wind up her leg really big and what I saw was her aura growing really strong. I had a feeling something big was about to happen.
"...You will bow down to me as my servant, and do what I say!" She yelled.
*POW*
*WOOSH*
She kicked it as hard as she could and a tornado came out of it, sucking it inside. We could barely see the human figure inside as the tornado was so big. After a few seconds of the tornado appearing and moving, it went away and so was the human figure.
"*pant* *pant* Looks like I killed my first enemy. How incredible of me! Ohhohoho!"
"Huh. That packed a punch alright." I said with a smirk.
"I'm supposed to be invincible. That's why I was so desperate to do such a thing." Candace said to me.
"Understandable."
"It's time to shock the world!"
We then saw Gemma, who grew an electric aura around her, getting ready to take down the last human figure for good. She looked like she was a dangerous human being to touch. And I felt surprised.
"Here we go! Electric shock on the human figure!"
*ZAP* *ZAP* *ZAP* *ZAP* *ZAP* *ZAP* *ZAP*
There were several amounts of lightning bolts striking the human figure very well, electrocuting him severely until it was erased in the process. I didn't know what was going on at first, but it happened anyway.
Well… that was something.
"Woah… that was really crazy!" Gemma said as she looked amazed and surprised at what she just did.
"That was your special attack?" Candace asked, looking confused.
"Umm… I don't know. But it was probably a powerful one. I'm amazed that I actually performed it. What do you think?"
"I… wouldn't say that. I say it was vicious or nasty." I said with a sweatdrop.
"So it was special then." Candace said.
"Well… I guess you could say that." Gemma said with a sweatdrop, looking unsure.
You don't know your own attacks?
"Well done, ladies!"
This was said by Lunia who teleported into the test run room after seeing the entire battle. And by the look on her face, she was pleased to see that we got the job done.
"You cleared the test run, defeating all three monsters! You also could've worked together to defeat them all, but since you've managed to solve the human figures by yourselves, I give you thousands of kudos."
"My opponent was so difficult to deal with. He was a pain all over the place." Candace said, looking annoyed.
"At least you were able to get it done, Candace. There's no need to get frustrated. Combat skills take a lot of concentration and awareness. You don't need to throw in so many punches manually to get your opponent down. It's all about waiting for your moment to arrive and taking it."
"I mean that's one piece of advice I'll take, but I want to be the physical type. The one that will be able to connect so many punches and kicks until my opponents are dead in the water."
"I understand, but you still have to take your time when attacking. Your opponent could block any attack easily anytime you throw a random attack. It's best that you wait for your opponent to strike then go all out."
"*sigh* I guess that makes sense." Candace said, looking too unhappy about it.
"I think I can handle using these. They are perfect for when I get to the mastermind." I said while looking at my equipment.
"That's great to hear! And you did a pretty good job fighting with pride too!" Lunia said with a smile.
"What about me? I did pretty great too, right?" Gemma asked.
"You did pretty well too, Gemma. You looked super into the thunder element."
"Yeah, it was pretty awesome to learn such a useful element!" Gemma said with a grin.
If only I didn't mess her up with that pistol I used.
"Does your leg hurt anywhere?" I asked Gemma.
"Huh? Oh yeah, it burns a little, but I'm fine regardless."
"Are you sure? I could pay for the damages."
"Oh, you don't need to, silly! I know it was just a mistake! But, I'm totally fine, it's not like it was that bad."
"Alright, alright."
If she says so.
"So, are you all satisfied with your powers? Do you wish to test them out again or do you wanna head back? I say we head back." Lunia suggested.
"Yeah, I feel confident with these powers. I'm ready for anything now. Anything to help Kaze take down whoever is standing in her way!" Gemma said with confidence.
"Well… I wish to do it again, but I like my powers as is, so I'll accept it and head back." Candace said.
"Yeah, same here." I said to Lunia.
"Alright, then we shall head back now." Lunia said as she created another portal to send us back to where we originally were as we all were now walking back.
Looks like this is my first step to encountering Thanos.
Kaze's POV
"We're back, everyone." Lunia said as the four of them are back from their test run.
"How did the test run go?" I asked them as I was the first one to open my mouth.
"It was rough, but I've managed to pull it off somehow." Candace said with a sweatdrop.
"Rough? Were the human figures giving you a challenge?" Blue asked.
"Yeah! It just wouldn't learn its place already so I just went all out and unexpectedly killed it!"
"Oh… Well then you didn't have any issues, right?"
"I still did! Don't get the wrong idea!"
"What about you, Kinsley?" I asked.
"It was no problem for me. My first stint turned out to be a workout so I had no problem with it." Kinsley said.
"I see. That's great to hear."
"You should've seen my performance out there." Gemma said. "It was honestly crazy! It was almost as if that one was even more entertaining than that Royal Rally!"
"Are you STILL bringing that up?!" Candace asked, looking agitated at Gemma bringing up the Royal Rally.
"Did you beat that dummy into a pulp?" Kris asked Gemma.
"Yup. I almost did at one point, but he managed to survive my crazy attack. But I still pulled it off either way." Gemma said.
"Coolio."
"So what were you guys talking about?"
"Well… Scar was notifying us how many days we have until the next stone appears."
"Can you please stop calling me that?!" Scarlett shouted, getting irritated with Darius' name calling.
"Scaraline?"
"No! Not even that!"
"You a hater…" Darius whispered with a sweatdrop.
"Goodness Gracious, now I'm starting to act like Alexis all of the sudden. Anyway, didn't Mom tell you three about the other dimensions that are about to have stones appearing there?" Scarlett asked Gemma, Candace, and Kinsley.
"Mom?" Gemma and Candace asked.
"I am their mother, that's correct." Lunia said to the both of them.
"But you don't even look… related. But that's beside the point." Candace said, looking very confused.
"Yeah, I'm not too worried about that right now." Kinsley said. "Anyway, no I didn't. Are there any other dimensions getting involved?"
"It's likely, but we have to get involved as well. We have to make sure we give them a key piece of information to make them believe us."
"What are these other dimensions you speak of?"
"There's Mushroom Kingdom, Hyrule, Gamindustri and Takaoka we have to deal with." Zack said.
"Wait, Mushroom Kingdom and Hyrule?!" Gemma asked, looking shocked.
"Yup!"
"Woah… This can't be real right now. I'm actually gonna go to the Mushroom Kingdom and Hyrule."
"Hey, Gemma. This is really serious for all of us, so we're not going there just to have fun and all of that stuff." I said to her sternly.
"I know that, Kaze. It's just… going to those two places… They weren't supposed to be real, but I'm actually going to both."
"Hearing those two worlds got you psyched, huh?" Darius asked.
"I'm a big fan of both of those worlds. Of course it got me psyched. You can't just imagine how big of a Nintendo fan I am."
"What type of games do you play?"
"Hey, guys? We're getting off-track." Lunia said to the both of them.
"Sorry, Lunia." Gemma said, looking embarrassed.
"It's fine. This is serious right here, so you can talk about that stuff another time."
"Ok."
She really likes Nintendo games.
"So… you guys said that you don't have Thanos' intel. I guess we have to find the other stones in those dimensions until we can actually get a location of him, is that right?" Kinsley asked.
"Yes, that was supposed to be our strategy, Ms. Kinsley." Lunia said. "Since we don't know the exact location of where Thanos is, the only option left is to nab the other stones before the other villains get their hands on it. It's not gonna be easy but I know you guys will try your hardest."
"I know I will! I know I'm gonna do all the work as a 17-year old man! I know I have it in me!" Darius shouted.
"S-Says the person who has the potential to be lazy the entire mission!" Alexis shouted.
"No I don't! I have a ton of spirit!" Darius shouted.
"Says you!"
"Says you!" Darius mimicked.
"Yeah, that's Candace and Gemma right there." Blue said with a smirk.
"I'm nothing like those two!" Candace shouted.
"This is going to be a hectic story." Lunia said with a facepalm.
Tell me about it.
"So it's on to training tomorrow then? We should be getting prepared the next day for what's coming." I said to Lunia.
"Agreed. Tomorrow, you will be extra prepared for what's coming the next day. You all will be rusty heading to the Mushroom Kingdom if I don't see you guys trained, so we have to make sure we kick in extra juice before then. I'll have my children show you where the training is, but since some of you have other business to take care of, I'll have to save it for tomorrow. Ah, I almost forgot. Candace and Kinsley. You both are gonna need these."
She then handed both of them telecators. But I was confused since Gemma didn't get one until Lunia said this…
"These are called telecators. They can warp you from here to back home. Your country to be more clear. I was supposed to give one to you and Gemma, Candace, but since I was rushing and wasn't paying attention to what was going on, I just simply gave one to Gemma."
"Oh… Ok, no worries then." Candace said with a sweatdrop. "A-Anyway, it was nice meeting you all. You all look like an interesting group. Kinda. But I'm now going to be heading back home. Yes, I didn't forget about our adventure, but I have other business to take care of in the meantime so I'll take a look at the training facility another time."
"Do you know how to activate the telecator, Miss Candace?" Lunia asked.
…
"Probably like this." Candace said as she pressed the button on the telecator and what we saw was another portal revealing her home which was a mansion.
"Oh, that looks like my home. And no, I will not let you guys see the inside. I'll think about it another time." Candace said, looking annoyed.
"We can't look in the backyard?" Darius asked.
"No. It's the same as the inside. Now I'll be taking my leave. See you guys tomorrow. Later, Blue Mackenzie." Candace said.
"Are you really going back now? You don't want to take a look around Hyperdrive City?" Blue asked.
"I wish I would, but I have other important business that I cannot ignore at this time. Something that you do not want to know."
"For a celebrity, you do have a lot of things thrown at you." I said.
"Well, blame Gemma! That's all I can say!" Candace said with a facepalm.
"Aw, come on! We did a lot of entertaining things!" Gemma said.
"You should've taken your entertainment somewhere else! Look, just forget it! I'll see you tomorrow. Text me when you start training, Blue." Candace said as she then went inside the portal that warped her back home and the portal went away afterwards.
"Well… speaking of important business, I got stuff to take care of as well." Kinsley said.
"You too, Kinsley?!" I asked, looking shocked.
"Why would I stay here longer? I'm here to complete my main mission. Stopping whatever Thanos is plotting. Or what the mastermind's plotting. I don't know. This is a big quest that I need to fulfill."
"It's not just for you, it's all of us."
"Well… either way, I'm defeating Thanos. I don't care what he does." Kinsley said as she activated a portal to send her back home.
She seems very determined to do this. I really want to know what she is doing this for.
"Are you sure you don't need anything else before you depart, Miss Kinsley?" Lunia asked.
"No, it won't be necessary. I've already received the info I needed so I'll be taking my leave. I'll be sure to come back here whenever you want me to come back for training."
"I recommend coming back here for the afternoon so we can get started. Is that ok?"
"Fine with me. Ok, I'll see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow, Miss Kinsley."
We then watched her leave for home as the portal then went away, leaving with me, Blue and Gemma with the Hyper family.
"So what about you, Gemma. Don't you have to take care of some things?" Blue asked.
"Actually… I don't."
"You don't?" Blue and I asked as we were shocked at Gemma's response.
"Not at all. I'm taking a break for a few days after my deserved win against Candace. I was gonna do my title parade a few days prior, but since I just figured since your situation is more important, I decided to push the parade forward a few days."
"But you didn't have to delay it. You could've done training and the title parade on the same day." I said.
"But I would rather help a friend in need rather than celebrating what I've won. If I were to not think about the world going into ruin and instead watch my friends die, I would feel really horrible as a friend. I really don't want you to go through so much pressure without me, Kaze. You need me."
"Gemma…"

…
She seems like a really caring person. I don't know what to say.
"Ok, then you're gonna need me too." I said as I gave in.
"Not just her, Gemma. You're gonna need me as well." Blue said.
"Yeah. I didn't forget about you as well, Blue."
"Looks like you are gonna look after each other pretty well." Darius said.
"Yeah, it's clear now since you both feel the need to protect each other." Kris said.
"Well, since we're joining forces with you, it's safe to say that we have to start caring about each other." I said.
"Yeah, who needs to find stones alone when we all can work together. This mysterious being won't be able to have a large advantage once we get everything we need." Blue said.
"And I thank you girls for that. You three are really into taking part in something that is important for your lives." Lunia said.
"Well, Kaze is the chosen one after all. She can be the one doing all the talking." Gemma said.
"I-I'm not a talkative person. I'm usually the one that's always behind you guys." I said with a sweatdrop and a light giggle.
"But you saved and protected the first stone." Lunia said. "And you did it all alone against two enemies that gave you a tough challenge. So the whole adventure resides in you as the focal point."
She does have a point… even though I don't talk a lot, Lunia did help me get what I want as my dream, and I followed through in an instant.

This is going to be tough so…
"Alright. Then I will do everything in my power to protect the world! For everyone!"
Author's Note: Candace, Kinsley and Gemma have now tested out their powers and they are satisfied with using them so that means all five British people will now join forces with the Hyper family to track down the other four stones and prevent the unknown apocalypse that is bound to happen in the upcoming weeks.
Next chapter will just be a mini-chapter. I tried to stop it here from extending the story because I'm not about to do another 10000+ word count chapter. It extends the amount of days that I have to upload the chapter and I'm ready to move on. It's been damn near 3 years since I've been in the United Kingdom arc and I NEED to move on now. Like right now.
