A/N: I know, I know, it's been long and I know that all of you all are mad at me. I had a summer job that took most of my time. I did think about this a while ago so I hope you guys like it.

Chapter 19

Watching the cab drive away, Callie had no idea what to do. She was frozen right on the spot as her date left. Who was she kidding that was definitely not a date, hell any of their office meetings were more of a date than what just happened right now?

Just then someone tapped her shoulder. "Should I get your car out ma'am?" The valet spoke.

"mm what?" The brunette asked as she turned around to look at him.

"Your car? Should I go get it?"

It was as if a lightbulb went off inside her head. she knew where Arizona lived, and she was not letting go of her without another chance. She just... she couldn't.

"Bring it immediately!" she said holding a fifty-dollar bill between her fingers.

The man practically sprinted inside to fetch her car. In the mean time Callie ran a shaky hand through her hair. What was so important that it couldn't have waited for a couple of more hours, or minutes. It was budget reports that needed her signatures that weren't even due for a couple of days. She could have easily pushed it to the morning but then she thought how long does a couple of signatures take? Then her employees wanted to talk about bonuses and raises which led to her being gone for longer.

Did she really do that to Arizona, let her have dinner by herself. God she was so stupid.

As soon as the car got here, Callie hopped in and took off. She did not care how fast she was going, who she was cutting off on the road, she just knew that she had to beat the cab to Arizona's door to get her to talk to her or it was all over.

In no time, she pulled up before Arizona's building and saw her exiting her cab. Yes! She had made it in time. She saw Arizona turning around and looking at her before throwing her hands up in frustration. Callie quickly hopped out of the car.

"Beautiful please wait!"

"That was all I was doing for the pat hour or so!" She replied bitterly.

"I'm so sorry B, I didn't mean for you to wait- "

"Yeah, well you didn't mean for a lot of things! And honestly, I'm done! Whatever this is" shew guested to the space between them. "I'm done! I cannot do this! I cannot be second to everything. I deserve much more than that!"

"You do! Please I just want one more- "

"No Calliope! You don't get another chance!"

Just then the blonde's phone started to ring. "I'll see you at work, Callie."

"NO! Please don't do this!"

"I have nothing to say." Arizona took her phone out. "It's my mom, I need to get this."

"B, I promise you nothing like this will ever happen again!"

But before Callie could say anything else, the blonde picked up the call as a way to get away from Callie.

"Hey mom! Right now, is not a good time, can we talk tomorrow?"

The brunette felt like she was eavesdropping on the conversation, but if Arizona cut the call, she could probably persuade her to give her a shot.

"What?" Arizona was shocked. She felt like she wanted to throw up. "I-I'll be right there." She cut the call before pulling up flight tickets on her phone.

"B?" Callie tried to get her attentions, but the blonde was not having it. "What's wrong," However, her attention was still on the phone. "What is it? Talk to me." Callie was much gentler this time.

"I-I can't! I need to do this."

"What do you need to do?" Callie asked as she took a step closer to her. She could see the big blue eyes filling up with huge tears.

"I need to go."

"Where?"

"Michigan! God why are there no flights! I need to be in Michigan right now! I need- "

"Why?"

"My dad died…" Arizona took in a shaky breath. "He died and I didn't- I wasn't there." Before she broke down onto the floor and started crying.

Callie took the spot bedside her and circled her in her arms. "I got you B, just let all out."

"He died, and I-I cannot say good bye, because there are no god damn planes and there's going to take him off the vent and I cannot be there!" she said as she started crying harder.

Callie gently picked her up in her arms and carried her upstairs.

"You'll get to say bye. I'll make sure you're be there in Michigan. In the meantime, why don't you go pack a bag for yourself?" Arizona looked up before taking a seat on the floor and hugging her knees. "Ill get you some water okay B?"

Callie quickly pulled the number of her pilot before grabbing a glass and filling it up with water. She was going to make sure that Arizona got to spend some time with her father. After confirming the flight plans with her pilot, Callie returned to find the blonde at the same spot.

"My plane is prepped and ready to take us in thirty minutes. I can drive you to the airport and you can get from there, okay?" She waited Arizona to say something, anything. "Do you want to change before we leave?"

"He's brain dead."

"I know sweetie. How about we get you to him as soon as possible okay?"

This time Arizona nodded and let herself be let out by the brunette.
