A/N: This chapter is a result of Forever Calzona smashing their recent chapters out of the park. They have inspired me to start writing again since I had kind of lost motivation. So yes, I was going to go off of FanFiction for a while until the urge to write returned. I guess it's back now! Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy.
Fair waning, a lot happens in this chapter!
Also, this is just a message to anyone and everyone reading, if you have a Calzona story in mind, go ahead and write it. You never know whom you might inspire to do the same 😊
Chapter 21
Calliope stood at the door frame, one hand balancing all of her weight, while the other was in the pocket of her pants clutching her phone, a habit she often found herself doing when she was unsure of herself. Previously, it used to be her father's hankie that she would stuff in her pocket, it gave her courage, it gave her strength in her business ventures, but ever since that relationship drifted further and further apart, the scent that it carried with it faded. It wasn't that the brunette was fidgety, far from it. She was a confident and strong person, she never second guessed herself. But ever since she found herself in this position, she was often not too sure of herself.
She willed her eyes to look anywhere but at the pale back in front of her, dotted with a few freckles result of some great summer memories, she was sure. Her eyes started their decent rom the pale neck that had a few stray blonde hair delicately resting on it, as if they seemed to have made their way out of the intricate updo, they were held in.
Her eyes rested on the rose gold chain or rather the clasp of it. It looked too delicate, as if if she stared at it for a moment too long it would snap under her graze. She envied a piece of jewelry that had found its way on that body. Her eyes trailed downwards counting each vertebrae that seemed to be poking out as a result of the blonde being a generally petite women but also because of the loss of appetite, she seemed to have for about a week now. Her eyes landed on the metal clasp of a simple black bra that seemed to be holding the most delicious bosoms in place, encasing them little tightly but elegantly in place.
Just a simple flick of her wrist was what it would take for her to unfasten it, just two fingers, or even possibly one, deepening how much the bra gave in. Her eyes led to the black zipper that seemed to be resting on the top her buttocks. She could swear that she saw a bit of the black lacy panties peaking out and making their presence known, but she wasn't too sure. The dress hung onto the pale body and ended a couple of inches higher than the blonde's knees, somewhere around her mid thighs. Her eyes delicately glanced the back of her knees as she unconsciously thought about the number of times, she had taken them in her palms and thrown them on her shoulders. Or held onto them to make sure the woman they belonged to didn't fall. Her eyes finally landed on bare feet standing together on the warm fuzzy carpet, slightly moving as the blonde wiggled her toes as she looked at herself in the mirror.
Callie watched the woman in front of her reaching behind her back and pulling the zipper up her back, or trying her hardest to do so, but failing quiet badly. Without saying another word, the Latina walked closer to stand behind the blonde. While one of her arms wrapped around the petite woman's waist the other went to her neck. The tips of her fingers delicately traced the skin from her neck to her back. Her thumb lightly scratched the blonde's back while her forefinger would lightly graze it. She lightly circled a bigger brown freckle which she had just noticed for the first time today.
She wanted to reprimand herself about how she hadn't seen it before, but at the same time she was equally happy to have found something new about the woman in her arms, something to cherish. Her fingers finally landed on the metal zipper. For a second, her forefinger dipped inside until she could feel the lacy underwear on the pad of her finger, while the back of it stroked the pale skin slightly dipping into the fold of her butt cheeks, grazing the pucker of her pink bud before she quickly pulled it out just in time to hear a moan leaving those beautiful pink lips. She held the metal zipper in her thumb and forefinger as Callie rested her face in the crocked of the ivory neck slowly exhaling hot air as she dragged the tip of her nose down the slope of her shoulders. She pulled the zipper up her back, slowly but steadily, watching those blue eyes closing and rolling to the back of her head.
Callie delicately placed a small kiss on the exposed shoulder.
"You ready B?" She asked.
"As much as I'll ever be."
Arizona turned around and hocked her arms around the tan neck pulling the two of them closer. Her fingers skimmed on the skin at the nape of her neck as her fingernails lightly scratched at the buzzed hair she found there. She looked deep into those soulful brown eyes, that spoke volumes without a single word being untired.
"Thank you so much for being this patient with me."
"Of course, B."
"I just, I still can't believe that he's gone. I almost feel like he's going to be downstairs ready to tell me off on how late I am."
"Too his own funeral?"
The blonde laughed. "Now when you put it that way…"
Callie gently put the blonde hair that had filled out of place behind her ear as she spoke. "Are you sure you are, okay?"
"Okay as I'll ever be."
"He really raised an amazing daughter you know."
"Yeah?"
"She's smart and intelligent and compassionate."
Arizona leaned back as her arms went to the black tie that hung around Callie's neck as she straightened it.
"Seventy-two, that's what his life will be summed as wouldn't it? A man who retired from the Marines, lived to be seventy-two before he was let go."
"No, he would be remembered by the memories he made with you. He'll always be there in your heart; he'll be watching you when you forget to the grocery shopping and live in a dirty apartment."
Arizona smiled. "That's my old man, making sure I live like a civilized human being."
The brunette noticed that Arizona wasn't wearing her shoes, so she guided them backwards until the backs of her knees met her bed.
"Callie-" she tried to stop her.
But before she could say anything, she saw Callie moving towards her closet and grabbing her a pair of strappy heels before couching down and talking her foot in her palms.
The blonde sighed, it felt good to have those talented hands kneading her foot before she slipped on the heel, strapping it in place.
"Are we going to talk about what I said?" The blonde asked.
"About what?" Callie enquired without looking up.
"I love-" But before she could finish her sentence, the brunette put the other heel down and took her palms in her own.
"I told you; you are grieving. Your emotions are running on overdrive."
"But Callie I mean what I said."
"I am not questioning that part."
"Then why do you keep running away from those words?"
"Because your dad just died. I don't want to hear them out of fear of-of preservation, or fueled by the feelings you have right now."
"But I know what I 'm feeling and I want to tell it to you."
"B, you need to take this time to say bye to your father, to remember him. I'll always be here, I'm here. But right now, I need you to find some closure."
Callie picked up the other shoe and proceeded to put it on in silence, hoping that this discussion has ended or at least tabled for now.
"What are you so scared of Callie?"
"I'm not!"
"Bullshit!"
The brunette got up from her knees and sat beside her lover. She took a warm hand in hers as she intertwined her fingers with hers.
"You haven't been eating well, in fact you barely ate anything last night- "
"I told you; I didn't feel like it."
"You haven't been sleeping well either B." Callie said as her thumb gently ran on top of the fair palm, drawing random patterns on it.
"How do you know?"
"Because for the past week, I have been sleeping beside you, holding onto you until you calmed down."
Arizona had a puzzled expression on her face. Her mom had offered Callie the spare room beside her own. She wasn't sure why her mother did it, since it seemed pretty evident to her that the old lady knew that the two of them were sleeping together, or maybe that's why she did it? But wait, how was that possible? There was no way her mother knew about the brunette's penis. But then again, with all the girls she had brought home before, her parents never let them spent the night together, at least not they know off.
But for all she knew, the brunette was spending the night in the room beside hers.
"What?"
"The walls are paper thin in this house B, I can hear every slight mumble, a cry of pain, sobbing." Callie cradled the blonde's face in her hand. "The first night I saw that you were clutching your pillow with the blanket on the floor shivering as you cried. I tried to wake you up but you wouldn't, so I would hop into bed and wrap my arms around you and hold you still."
"Ummm… I didn't know I was- I mean I knew I had nightmares but I didn't think they were so bad."
"Yeah, sometimes you would scream and I would feel my entire body going cold."
Arizona leaned up slightly and brushed her lips softly against her lovers before resting their foreheads together.
"Why did you go back?"
"Hmmm?"
"Back to your room? Why didn't you stay the night?" The blonde asked.
"I tried to as much as I could, but your mom is a scary woman, there was no way I was going to let her catch us in bed together!"
Arizona smiled. She had noticed this; the brunette had been trying to lift up her mood as much as she could by saying sweet things to her.
"You think she's scary, my dad was the original scary one."
"I bet."
The mood in the room dropped from playful to a bit more somber. Callie could feel the tension coming back to those shoulders more quickly that she tried to alleviate it. "We should get going." Callie said as she got to her feet and offered her hand.
"It's not like we can be late to a funeral, the man's already dead."
"B."
"I'm fine, okay? I'm more than fine, I'm good."
Callie pointed to the door way as she waited for Arizona to leave first, almost certain that if she didn't then the blonde would never leave. She placed her palm on her lower back trying to provide her as much as comfort as she could. Moreover, it was for her. It was to tell her that in this moment, it was Arizona what mattered and helped her connect with their reality.
She was never the relationship type. She hated them. She thought she was too broken, too unnatural and now look at it. She was living in Arizona's house for the past week or so.
As the two of them made their way down, they saw Barbara at the kitchen counter waiting for them.
"You girls ready? I told Tim to leave to go check on the venue and make sure-"
"That dad's body was there?"
"Arizona Elizabeth Robbins! I know you are going through a lot, we all are, but don't for one second think that I will not reprimand you for saying such things!"
"Sorry Mama."
The older blonde woman turned towards Callie. "I trust you to drive better than this one, she had to try three times before they finally took pity on her and gave her the license."
"Mama!"
Callie turned to the blonde. "Three really?"
"Shut it."
The brunette reached for her keys and jiggled them in her pocket. "Yup, I can drive ma'am. Although we might need to make a pit stop at the store and get a booster seat for Arizona."
"Hey! Not you too Calliope!" Callie smiled brightly as she heard that world leave her mouth. "What?"
"Do you how long it's been since you called me that?" She asked as she led the woman outside into the car. "Way too long." And with that they headed for the funeral.
It all felt like a blur to her. She watched her mother getting up on their stage, as she held onto a tissue paper in her hand. She told everyone stories about their time together, about when they had their children, about her father's time in the Marines, about how he took her all over the world and gave her everything she could ever want. Arizona was listening but her mind was somewhere else altogether. There were a lot of people who had come to the funeral. Most of them where men from Marines, while some she recognized, but most of them she didn't. They were all in their uniforms.
She looked to her left where Tim sat with his own hat in his lap. After two successful tours, they found out about their dad's condition, or rather deterioration. He took it on himself to retire from the Marines and look after the farm that they had. He sacrificed his own future in the Marines so that she could get to live her big city dreams, so that she could leave Michigan and fulfill her dreams. He had given up on so many things just for her.
She watched Tim putting his hat back on and then going on the stage. He was as charming as ever, making the crowd laugh with his funny little anecdotes. He shared about the time he told their father about following his footsteps and joining the Marines, he talked about his life here in Michigan as he spent the las few days with their old man. Arizona felt tears springing to her eyes, she watched as he wrapped up and the whole room waited on her to say something, to do something, to go on the stage and share her stories with her father, but she froze, she had never felt so numb in her life. Ever... she tried to calm herself down but she couldn't. So, she stood up and took off running.
Callie looked at the woman beside her waiting for her to get up, but when she did, she ran straight outside of the chapel. She saw Barbara looking at her with concern in her eyes. "I'll go check on her," she said before following the blonde outside.
She saw her at the back of her SUV that she had rented. She had popped the boot and was frantically looking for something.
"B? What's wrong?"
"I can't find it! I swear I saw Mama put it here! Where is it?"
"You can't find what?" Callie asked but was met with silence. So, she pried the hand away and forced her to look at her.
"His hat. The white one, the one he wore in the Marines."
"Tim brought it there and placed it in the casket."
"Of course, I can't do one thing right!"
"What's that?"
"I thought that I could keep it, that I should get to keep his hat, but then Tim had to go and do the rightful thing and put it where it where it belonged. And all I wanted was a little piece of him."
"You have a little piece of him B."
"I don't!"
"In your eyes! In the way that you are, in the way you command the whole room. He's with you B."
Arizona looked up at Callie and saw the concern in her. She finally felt something, she felt her wrists being tightly held in the tan hands, she felt the weight of the gaze.
With that, the blonde pulled Callie's head in for a deep kiss and held her in place while she hopped up on sat inside the boot of her SUV. She trapped the brunette's legs in between her own as one of her hand shad already started working on her belt.
"What are you doing?" Callie asked as she broke the kiss, but Arizona just started kissing her neck instead.
"I need you Calliope, I need you right now."
"What? We are outside of the church."
"I need to feel something, please just, make me cum right now!" Arizona roughly dragged the zipper of her pants down before unbuttoning her pants and slighting them down her feet. She could feel the hardened penis in her hand, growing and becoming bigger.
"B…"
"Please Calliope! Please." She begged as she pushed her boxers down her legs. "I need to feel something, I don't want to be numb, I want you. Just please, give me this," she said.
Callie looked down at the brunette in front of her, she took in her appearance, she could see that she was in pain, not physical pain but the mental kind. But at the same time, she wasn't sure what was she supposed to do.
"I need this." Arizona said on more time as she caught a hold of her own underwear and pulled it down her legs.
"Hmmmh." Callie bent done and captured her lips, kissing her long and hard as her fingertips blindly felt around for the other set of lips within her dress. The tips of her fingers felt wet as the blonde's moisture coated them. She gently parted them before inserting on finger inside.
"Calliope, I need to feel all of you." The blonde said as she broke the kiss.
"I don't have="
"I don't care!"
"Are you sure, because-" but before she could finish her sentence her felt Arizona's hand enclosing on her member as she started guiding it to her center.
She looked up, asking for permission.
Callie nodded as she alighted her penis to the lips of her sex before roughly plunging inside. At first, she only inserted the head, giving the blonde enough time to get adjusted to her size. It had been a while since they had had sex so she didn't want to hurt her.
"I want all of you Calliope, I need all of you." She said as she hooked her legs around the brunette's naked ass. With that Callie completely pulled out before plunging all of her length inside of her and setting a fast rhythm.
"YES!" She moaned as she held on to Callie's shirt, trying to get her to go harder and faster.
"You're so wet B… So, fucking wet."
Withing minutes the two of them hit their orgasms as Callie pulled out of her. She quickly pulled on her boxers and pants on fastening the buckle of her belt, before grabbing the blonde's underwear and pulling it up her leg.
"What's all of this B? You have never thanked me for sex and you just, what's going on?"
Arizona looked down at the floor as she crossed her arms. "I couldn't go up there and pretend to be the ideal daughter when I wasn't."
"What?"
"You heard Tim, you heard Mama, they talked about how great of a man he was and how much he did for them. Where as me? I just left, so that I could be happy, I left the state and went as far away as I could because the farm life wasn't it for me. And look where that got me. I wasn't with him when he-"
"But you were, you were at the hospital."
"I wasn't there before that, I wasn't there holding his hand, telling him that it would be okay. But you know who was? Tim! He was there through all of it. The perfect son and the runaway daughter."
"B…"
Arizona hopped out of the car. "I'm going to go take a walk." But just as she saw Callie getting up too, she raised her hand. "You should go back."
"I cannot go back to the church without you."
"No, you should go back to Seattle."
Callie was lost, where was all of this coming from. "Why?"
"You have your business and everything to take care off, you were already kind enough to be here for a week. I cannot ask you to be here any longer."
"But you're not! I'm here because I want to be here."
"Well, you shouldn't!
"Beautiful, can we talk about this some more before you send me packing? What's wrong?"
"Can't you see! Everything is wrong! You don't want some sappy little girl who just lost her father trailing around you. You don't want me to!"
"I do!"
"Then say that you love me! Or say that you don't, say something Calliope."
The brunette ran a hand through her hair. "I told you-"
"You know what, I don't even want to hear you say the words, but just answer my question. Do you love me, Callie?"
"B, you are making too much out of- "
"Yes or no Callie! Just answer the stupid questions."
The brunette stared at her, not know what to say. She wasn't sure if she loved her or not. But it had more to do about her own insecurities than the woman standing in front of her.
Arizona crossed her arms. "See, I thought so. Go back to Seattle."
"Beautiful!" She called as she watched Arizona grabbing the car keys that had fallen on the floor.
"Just leave…" the blonde as she climbed into the car and drove away.
A/N: This was a big update, wasn't it? I think most of you all know what's going to happen in the next chapter, but please feel free to guess, I'm fairly certain you'll be right! I'm a huge softy, a drama fueled softy, so I won't keep them apart for two long. Maybe a chapter or two.
