A/N: I thought long and hard about this, so here you go! Most of you all guessed it right, but not really, but pretty right. I wasn't going to update for another week, and spend time finishing my other works, but no luck there. Anyway, here is what happens next.

Chapter 23

She had no idea what was going through her head as she made the peaceful descend to Michigan. She was told by the hanger to wait for a bit so she hovered around the Michigan airspace. She thought flying for a bit longer would clear her headspace, but she wasn't sure what was going on in her head in the first place. One minute she was having sex with some random woman and on the other, she was getting a call from Barbara.

She hadn't even thought about the blonde for the past six months. No, that was lie. Initially when she had left Michigan right after Arizona bolted, that was all she could think about, she was who she could think about for a very long time. She didn't know what to do, she had never felt this way for a very long time. But then one day she decided that she had had enough and she needed to forget about her.

That was the thing, once she set her mind on anything she followed through. After that, there was no turning back for her. But right now? Right now, was a whole another story.

Callie took in her appearance. Her usually buttoned up crisp white shirt was all kinds of creased up with a few of the top buttons left undone. Her tie was hanging like a noose around her neck. She took a moment to take a deep breath as she rolled up her sleeves. What was wrong? Was it serious?

"Charlie Tango 5511 you are permitted to land."

"Roger that."

Everybody used to tell her than landing was the most difficult part about flying. To make sure the wheels were aligned just right, the angle of descend, the speed. But thing is that weren't under your control, like wind, rain, thunderstorm, communication issues. There could be a million different things that could go wrong while landing, but Callie loved it. She loved the thrill of it, the rush, all of it. The flight plan didn't matter if you couldn't land right, it was all gone. If you are that close to the runway and you mistime something, you miss time anything, you're done, gone. Dead at landing.

But just like clockwork, she prepared to land like she always did, she engaged the landing gear, she reduced the throttle and prepared to break hard.

It almost seemed like a blur to her, how she got a cab so late at the night, then being dropped at the hospital, it was almost like since she wasn't flying anymore, her mind had gone to autopilot.

"Ma'am?" a voice spoke, breaking her daze.

"Hmm?"

"Are you looking for someone?"

"I-I don't know…" she replied.

"Are you hurt?"

"No, I don't," Callie wanted to laugh at that. Was she hurt? Yeas she was the blonde had hurt her pretty badly by fleeing away, by not picking up her calls, not responding to her texts.

"Ma'am?"

"I'm sorry, I'm looking for a Robbins?"

The nurse checked her computer before clicking something on the computer. "Do you have a first name? We cannot let anyone just into the hospital, not unless you are friends or family."

There was another thought that the brunette had. Once upon a time they were friends, they were pretty good friends and she trusted her more than her own family and right now? Right now, they were neither.

"I'm looking for Barbara Robbins,"

The nurse clicked some more on the computer.

"I don't see a Barbara Robbins in the ER. I'm going to give you a chance to walk away before I call security."

Callie was never used to this kind of behavior from anyone. She was born in a rich household; she has always had money. Even when her father almost burnt down the business, within no time, she as able to not only bring it back to its former glory, but making it bigger than ever. Even when she was disowned by her family, people always knew who she was. But this… this was new.

"Sweetie! Here!" A voice called out to her.

Callie ran to the older blonde woman until she stood in front of her.

"What's wrong? What happened?"

But the woman just held her hand and led her to one of the rooms.

"Barbara, is it Tim? Is he okay?" She opened the door before pulling her inside. She could make out a figure was on the bed with their face turned away from her.

Callie could make out that head of blonde hair anywhere. Sure, it looked a bit dull, but she knew who it belonged to. She could feel her heartbeat rising. Why was she in the hospital gown?

"Hey?" she spoke softly.

"I told you not to call her mama!"

"And I told you, she would want to be here."

"I don't want her to be here, I don't want any of this!" The blonde replied.

Callie looked at the interaction between the two women. Just then one of the doctors came in.

"Robbins, I see we have a guest."

The brunette offered her hand. "I'm Callie Torres, what's all of this about?"

"I was just coming here to tell-"

"Get out!" Arizona yelled as she brought her hands to the pillow and covered her ears. "Get out get out get out!"

"Beautiful! I'm going to be here, because I want to be here, so stop tell me where to be, because there is nowhere else, I would rather be." Callie replied angrily.

"Trust me, you don't want to be here for this!"

"I'll be the judge of that." She said before turning to the doctor. "Is... um is it at least treatable? What will she need? Chemo? Surgery?"

"Oh, umm I see," the doctor started. "Miss Robbins was brought in here several hours ago for taking a fall." Callie couldn't help but hold onto the rails of Arizona's bed for support.

"You fell?" she asked as she tried to control her voice. There was no reason to call her for a simple fall. The way Barbara's voice sounded on the phone made it sound like she was actually dying. "Is it neurological?" she asked the doctor.

"Not from the tests we ran. We did notice a tear in Miss. Robbins placenta and while we fixed that, during the procedure we noticed that the tear was not caused because of the fall, the placenta was already ruptured. In fact, it was never really closed. I would recommend proceeding with a termination for Miss Robbins safety, but the decision is completely yours."

Callie wasn't sure what she was hearing. "Umm termination of what?"

"Miss Robbins is a little over five months pregnant."

"She is what?"

The doctor looked between all the three women. "I'm going to leave."

"I'll give you girls a minute too." Barbara said as she left with the doctor.

Callie shifted her weight from one foot to the other. She was not sure if she heard it right or not. Arizona was pregnant, but she was a lesbian at least she told her she was. Was the blonde dating men now, is that what it what? Is that why she didn't want to contact her?

"You're ummm, you are."

"I am… not for long though," Arizona said before she started crying her eyes out.

The brunette's heart reached out for her. She put the bed rail down before hoping onto the bed with her and hugged her from behind. In the beginning she resisted her embrace, she tried to fight it, but then when it was clear to her that her effects were futile, she gave in and started sobbing. Arizona turned around and came face to face with Callie as she leaned onto her shoulder and wept.

This was the first time Callie actually felt it. She felt her stomach being met by a slightly rounded one, she felt the weight of the woman in her arms, she could feel the warm radiating from her.

"I fell and… and I I'm going to lose the baby."

"Shhh, you heard the doctor, it wasn't because of the fall."

"I wanted to spend sometime in the shed, with my dad's horse, it's been a while since he was taken care off. I was just brushing his fur. I just wanted to make sure that he was brush and then I slipped and the baby-"

"You didn't harm the baby B, you did nothing wrong!"

Callie tired to whisper all kinds of sweet words into her ear but it just made her cry harder and harder.

"I killed your baby Callie! Why are you being so fucking nice to me when I am the reason for killing your child."

"The baby is mine?" she asked softly.

"Who else could it be, if you didn't hear me the first time, I don't sleep with men!"

"The baby is mine?" Callie repeated.

"Was…" she said before the blonde was crying again.

The Latina found herself in some sort of daze, she wasn't sure what was going on. How was she pregnant again? Was it because of their little quickly that happened outside of the chapel during Arizona's father funeral? It had to be. If she's five months pregnant, that would seem about right. She tried to picture a little girl with messy blonde hair and dark brown eyes running around her house, running around their house. She saw herself brewing coffee while Arizona cooked and the blonde didn't know how to cook so she was watch over, tweak a little if she needed and pretend that she did not help. It was all so clear to her; she saw a future. A future she had never seen before, at least not for herself. She would only envision her company's growth, owning the city, but never this.

She moved her hand downwards to cradle the baby in her palm.

"I thought, I could feel it move, but I never did. I could never… I- I should have come sooner, I should've taken better care of myself, been better than this! What's wrong with me! I couldn't even look after a baby in my womb, how could I have thought that I could look after it when it was here."

"B, you did nothing wrong okay? You listen to me. You did nothing wrong to yourself or umm to the baby." She said as she ran her fingertips through her hair.

"I don't know what to do Calliope… I- I don't know."

The Latina rubbed the tears out of her eyes before taking her face in her hands. "We umm, we spend the night looking after you, taking care of you and then tomorrow, we umm we schedule an abortion and then go from there."

"I cannot do it, I cannot kill it."

Callie swallowed the bile that rose in her mouth when she thought about killing her own baby but then again, she only found out about it a minute ago.

"You heard the doctor, for your safety, we- um, we have to do it."

"I cannot do it."

"Hey, listen to me. We will talk about our options in the morning, if there's any chance the baby can live, I will make sure that it does okay. I will fight for this baby, but if its you or the baby, I will fight for you."

Suddenly, Arizona pulled away. "How can you say that?"

"Because it's you! It will always be you B."

"But the baby?"

"Listen, this is too much to process for me right now. My brain, I don't even know how its functioning properly, but I know one thing that you are too important. So, I suggest we sleep on it and then we talk about everything tomorrow, okay?"

Arizona nodded as she nuzzled closer to her. "Stay?"

Callie wrapped her arms tightly around her back as the two of them rested their head on the pillow trying to make themselves more comfortable in a small hospital bed. She reached out and tugged the blanket over the two of them before kicking her shoes off.

Within no time the two of them dozed off. Tomorrow could wait. She really didn't want tomorrow to come. Tomorrow would decide what would happen to the baby.

Their baby.

A/N: Yup, I too don't want to throw them in a relationship that was bound by a baby. So, instead this is what I'm going to do.
