"What it means is... confusing, and also incredibly involved. Some of it's... very personal."

"What, more than being told somebody tied your soul in knots without telling you?" Ichigo complains.

"From a certain point of view, yes," you answer, before turning back to Tatsuki. "What I'm getting at is, would you feel more comfortable talking about the details in private, and letting your friends know what you feel comfortable with telling them afterwards? Or do you want them to hear everything from the get-go."

Tatsuki bites her lower lip for a moment, looks around at the Kurosakis, and then sighs. "Tell me what you saw, Alex."

Taking a deep breath, you begin.

First you explain how the seal on Tatsuki is not a spiritual construct like the ones placed on Ichigo and Isshin, but a creation of pure magical energy. You also explain how complex the two separate creations are, and how that means each was likely placed by someone very skilled at their respective craft - and how unlikely it is that the same person was responsible for all three seals.

As soon as you mention "magic," Isshin and Masaki look as bewildered as Ichigo and Tatsuki, while the cat's eyes momentarily widen in a very human expression of surprise.

Next, you describe the form taken by the seal - the network of pure black chains, heavily inscribed with characters of a style you don't recognize.

At the mention of "black chains," Isshin goes very, very still, and the cat lets out a low, warning yowl. Masaki glances at her husband, who lifts one hand in a very sharp gesture for her not to interrupt, while looking intently at you. You can almost hear the man willing you to keep speaking - so you do, detailing the auras infused into the different sections of the chain. Abjuration at the core, as the foundation of the seal, interwoven with divination for self-monitoring purposes, and augmentation for reasons unclear. Latched on to her aura, chains with necromantic elements that are undoubtedly meant to affect the soul in some way, and which are at least partly restrictive in nature. Woven about the head, light chains of enchantment, meant to affect the mind in a very light, subtle manner - not restricting or controlling, but rather quietly suggesting. And finally, wrapped about every limb, chains imbued with a transformative magic that seemed to be strongly active while Tatsuki was fighting Gorn, not for the purpose of changing her, but rather preventing a change that was trying to happen on its own.

Tatsuki takes the news that something is affecting her soul rather well. It probably helps that Ichigo and Isshin are both in a similar boat. On the other hand, being told that the same spell is affecting her mind, however slightly, shakes her badly. When you add to that how the magic is stopping her from physically changing in some unknown way...

"I think I'm going to be sick," Tatsuki says bleakly.

"Bathrooms are out the main door, down the hall, take the first two lefts," you inform her.

Tatsuki nods, breaks away from the one-armed hug Masaki has been giving her since about halfway through your assessment of the spell, and runs for it.

Masaki and Isshin trade glances, and the former nods. "Come along, you three. We'll go make sure Tatsuki's okay."

"But Mom," Ichigo starts. Then he yells in real pain as the cat leaps off his head, disappearing in the direction Tatsuki went. "Ow! I'm bleeding! Stupid cat!"

"I'll take a look at that, while we're there," Masaki adds. "Come on now, Ichigo."

He sighs, gives you a beseeching look, and then does as he's told. "Coming, Mom. Man, what's with that dumb furball...?"

This leaves you with Isshin. By now, the arena has pretty well cleared out of people, with just a few spectators left in the stands. Even the officials who came out to repair the ring after the awards ceremony have finished their work and departed.

Looking at the Kurosaki patriarch, you decide that you can't call the man Goat Chin anymore. His expression is way too serious.
