The conversation rolls on, moving from topic to topic as lighthearted group discussions tend to do. After the subject of swords led to a brief testimony about the antics of Nerima, the thread shifts to a brief overview of Tokyo's various wards, special or otherwise. Cordelia pays particularly close attention to which districts have the best shopping - and that subject naturally branches out into a general debate about what's hot, what's not, and what's just too cute to pass up. It comes as no surprise when Kahlua proves to know her high fashion at least as well as Cordelia does, or that Kasumi is a major advocate of cute things, but Altria's favorite stuffed lion cub somehow becomes a topic of debate, as do Kokoa's favorite plushie bat and Tifa's king-sized minotaur throw rug.

You opt in for that conversation, seeking advice on what sort of souvenir doll you should get Zelda, and where to get the best deals. Only about half the suggestions really register, but you do pick up some good ideas. The girls also seem to appreciate your participation.

Additionally, at one point when the other girls are locked in an epic debate on a point of feminine logic that completely escapes you and seems to puzzle Altria, you're able to discreetly trade contact information with the British blonde. As it turns out, Altria does not have regular access to email, but she assures you that Ambrose - the wizard - has ways to make sure that old fashioned mail reaches its destination only somewhat less slowly than its modern cousin, and at least as securely.

Perhaps thirty-five minutes in total since the last match ended, the Kurosaki family finally shows up. Tatsuki looks better than she did the last time you saw her, although her face has obviously been wiped, and she's staying very close to Masaki. The cat is there as well, no longer riding Ichigo's head but rather striding along without a care in the world.

When it lays golden eyes on the group of adults at your table, the cat abruptly freezes, fur arching as a low, warning yowl echoes in its throat.

Akasha and her girls are looking at the cat with expressions that remind you of cats themselves - ones that have just noticed an intruder, and are still deciding whether or not it's worth the effort to get up and chase away. The assembled ninjas and the man you guess to be Tifa's master have also suddenly tensed, while Lu-sensei and Ambrose trade the amused looks of old men who don't see why the young folks are raising such a fuss.

Isshin smiles guilelessly. "Did we miss something?"

How do you deal with the suddenly unpleasant atmosphere?

OOC: I'll be kind and say that Alex's "caster level" is high enough to satisfy the requirement for the ring. However, in D&D terms, he's an arcane caster rather than a divine one, so create food and drink is not on his spell list. It's also not an ability I can recall Ganondorf ever demonstrating (the Triforce might well have taken care of his dietary needs). Alex probably needs to rank-up his Magical Prowess to the B/A range to brute-force a workaround - like a sorcerer using a wish to mimic a lower-level divine spell. Also, the ring costs 2,500 gp, compared to the simple potion's 50 gp - it would take a proportionately long time to produce, and have considerably greater odds of something going wrong in the process.
