While you are curious and a bit concerned by the sudden potential for hostility among the adults, you decide to take your cue from your master, and ignore it.

"Hey, Tatsuki, Ichigo," you say, waving to the pair, and then gesturing to the still-unclaimed places to your left. "We saved you some seats."

"Thanks, man," Ichigo replies blithely, either unaware of or - like you - choosing to ignore the behavior of the adults. "I'm starving, and I didn't even fight today."

Unlike Strawberry Boy, Tatsuki definitely noticed how the adults were reacting to the cat, and vice-versa, and she was tensing in response to their bad mood. Now that your invitation appears to have pierced the growing bubble of suspicion and imminent violence, however, she visibly calms, while the Kurosakis as a whole come forward. There is some slight shifting of accomodations, as Kahlua moves down to sit with the twins - Kokoa, you notice, appears both relieved and a bit sulky about her sister's departure, but she quickly turns her attention to Moka and thereafter seems fine - and the cat regards Miss Shuzen's presence as if she were a particularly huge dog that might or might not be about to bite, earning itself a mild frown from Akasha. Aside from that, though, the tension has mostly dissipated. Ichigo is quick to claim the place next to you, with his mother next, then Tatsuki, followed by the twins and Kahlua, and with Isshin closing the loop a couple of places down from Cordelia. The cat, incidentally, hops up into the vacant chair, getting a look from Queen C before the two of them mutually ignore one another.

You glance at Lu-sensei, who gives you a smile and a brief nod.

There isn't too much opportunity for conversation with the Kurosaki family, as they're busy catching up on the lunch they almost missed. Kahlua chats with the twins, of course, but when she tries to talk to Tatsuki, the dark-haired girl's responses short, reluctant responses leave the blonde girl blinking in confusion. She looks from Tatsuki to the Kurosakis and then to you, her expression mostly entreating but just a bit accusatory - as if to ask without words, "What did you do, Alex?"

Or at least, that's your impression. If that really is what Kahlua's trying to get across, you can hardly blame her for thinking it.
