If Tatsuki's basically ignoring Kahlua, who she previously had a pretty good vibe going with, you think you can take it as a fair indication that she wants to be left alone right now. Fair enough; you've dropped two life-changing revelations on her today, and she's had to fight an opponent that pretty much crushed her. She's earned the right to brood.

"So, Kahlua," you say, as if responding to the girl's glance, "what did you think of the finals?"

"On the whole, I'd have to say that it was rather more interesting than I was expecting," the blonde admits after a moment's pause. "I certainly wouldn't have minded sparring with anyone who made it to the second round - although in the case of that Harcourt boy, it's mostly because his attitude could use an adjustment, and the little monk needs to work on his aura control more before he'll be interesting."

"Really?" Kasumi asks, blinking. "I thought the fact that he knew the Turtle Hermit's Kamehameha was rather impressive."

Kahlua frowns as if puzzled. "Who is that, and why in the world did he name a special technique after something as slow and ungainly as a turtle?"

Kasumi obligingly provides a brief history of the nearly three hundred year-old reclusive Turtle Hermit, so named because of his preference for wearing the shell of a giant turtle as a training weight, and how he spent half a century devising an attack that - when wielded at full power - is said to be able to level a fortress.

"The only other person known to have ever learned the technique is the late Master Son Gohan, the Turtle Hermit's star student," Kasumi concludes. "And even he needed years to develop the ability. For Krillin to know it at our age..."

"That is rather more impressive," Kahlua admits thoughtfully. "How large a fortress are we talking about?"

"I don't know," Kasumi replies with an apologetic smile. "It's mentioned in every account of the Turtle Hermit that I've read or been told, but those all go back the better part of a century, at least. He doesn't leave his island much these days - wherever it is. Master Gohan isn't known to have ever used the Kamehameha to that extreme."

"So it could be accurate, or it could be exaggeration?"

Kasumi nods. "Unfortunately, there's no way to know."

"I think we can safely say that Krillin's version couldn't knock over a fortress," Ayane chips in. "Not unless it was a sand castle, or something like that."

There is some amusement at that.

"Though Alexander, here, might be able to do some serious damage to a house," the violet-haired kunoichi continues, turning to you. "Where in the world did you learn how to turn yourself into even more of a giant? And can I learn how to do it?"
