8 months later, both Giyu and Kanae are 15, as Shinobu thoughts 'I noticed how much Nee-san seems so cheerful, she's been humming when she's cooking and when Tomioka-san arrived, she seems excited, i must say, She seems happy whenever she accompanies him on missions, He even helped Kanao open herself as a normal girl, even though she's silent and shy, she's still open. Nee-san at the other hand, seems very happy with Tomioka-san as such, if she loves him, guess I'll allow it. If that's what's making her happy.' Kanae is polishing her blade as Shinobu sits next to her and asked "Nee-san, do you love Tomioka-san?" Kanae puts her sword down and begins blushing and nodded as Shinobu sighs "well, if he makes you happy, I'll be happy too. Just try not to be late." Kanae hugged her sister and says "Thank you Shinobu, your the best sister!!" "Caw! Pillar meeting in 1 hour." Says the crow as Kanae gets up, "well better get going."
She arrived at the Headquarters and saw Gyomei and Tengen with someone new, who she met before. The one with scars around his body and white hair. "Oh, it's you from the butterfly mansion." Says Sanemi as he blushes as little as Kanae as usual smile and says "good to see you as a pillar...uhh" "Shinazugawa Sanemi." Says Sanemi as Kanae understood it as she then saw Giyu arriving at the Headquarters as Kanae got to him "ahhh, Tomioka-san! Your here! You almost got late, what happened?" Asked Kanae and Giyu says "i over slept." Kanae smiling spontaneously at Giyu and says "it's okay, just try not to be late." Giyu nodded and Sanemi staring at Giyu in hatred, he remembers him during the time before he became a Pillar.
Flashback plays With Sanemi with his friend Masachika, on their recovery training, they saw How Giyu's training others for their recovery, as Giyu in his life before being a Pillar, ordered to help others in rehabilitation training. "This is the one we receiving training from?" Asked Sanemi and Masachika replied "since some a few changes happened a little, we shall see." They saw Giyu sparring with a slayer, testing their reflexes from sword skills as other seems scared. "This guy is a Water Breath user." Says Masachika as Sanemi smirks at it "then he's going to be easy to handle then. Water breath users are weak after all." And then a Slayer saying "don't underestimate him, Tomioka Giyu is a whole Prodigy in this, according to him, there is more then just one drop of water." As both Sanemi and Masachika faces to the slayer as Sanemi says "don't think I'll be scared of some Emo brat." As Masachika calms him down. After every slayer went against Giyu as some managed to pass the training, and Sanemi received his turn in being against Giyu with reflex training of Cup throwing medicine. Giyu splashes medicines at Sanemi within moments, No matter how hard he tries to splash it out. Sanemi feels frustrated for the first 6 rounds and says "Oi, Quite making fun of me! you think you're better than us?! Stop this mannequin Look!" Says sanemi and Gyu said nothing and just raised his eyebrow in confusion of what is he even asking. Sanemi without warning, tried to throw medicine without the round starting and Giyu blocked the cup down and threw medicine from another Cup. Sanemi couldn't beat him. Playing Tag, which Sanemi has to Catch him. "Come! And get it you Conceited Bratt!" Yelled Sanemi as he charges to giyu, on his way to Punch him and Giyu dodges every incoming attack, and Giyu stares at him in confusion and wondered, 'what is wrong with him?' Not a single touch. Even though he mastered constant full focus breathing, he can't. 'This basterd is too unpredictable, it's humiliating.' thought Sanemi as he lost to Giyu. Next up is finally sparring with wooden swords. Both started sparring and Sanemi charged him in such intention of hurting Giyu, he blocked every attack and managed to disarm Sanemi, this led him to feel frustrated as he thought 'This is humiliating! I'm losing to a mere water breath user, This guy is pissing me off!' He picks up his wooden sword and says "Don't forget Water breathing is nothing but for weaklings since its too easy to weild it, and Wind has powerful offense." As he smirks at Giyu in such look of hatred of intention of hurting him. This left the whole area silent as Giyu couldn't even think this guy could have some sense and asked "if Water breathing is this easy? Then why don't you try it yourself?" That left a mark on Sanemi, "Go on, if you say it's an easy technique, then I dare you to try it." Says Giyu in a cold tone, some others got scared and Sanemi could not say anything, most slayers saw how sharp he is when it comes to words "are you waiting for something?" Asks Giyu in a cold tone as Sanemi "Oi, don't lecture me you Conceited brat!" Charges to giyu and he ends up slashing Giyu, but he blocked every slash while in his serious look "We just met and you're already having problems? *blocks slashes* Here and now you're insulting one of the 5 main breathing techniques, That's a massive insult to the rest of other breath users." "Don't go acting like you're a pillar, You manipulative basterd!" Yelled Sanemi as Giyu constantly blocking every slash and shattered Sanemi's sword down making him fall to the ground and saying "so you're just going to go around making excuses?" In such cold tone and Sanemi staring at giyu in such hatred, he doesn't like him already in first sight. "You're finished. Next!" Says Giyu as Sanemi yelled "Oi you basterd! I'm not Done yet!!" As everyone has their attention on them. Sanemi on his way to Punch Giyu but in a second he tripped down to the floor and found himself tied down on a rope. Sanemi got confused about what just happened and saw Giyu staring down at him "like i said before, you are finished. And let me tell you this, Insulting someone's breathing technique is disrespectful to the ones who created them." Says Giyu in a Cold tone, Masachika comes in and takes him away "sorry for my friend, he's just hot tempered." "No need for that. You are not the one to blame, so it's fine." Says Giyu in his normal tone as Sanemi stared at Giyu in Hatred.
Flashback ends as Sanemi is already hating him, seeing the girl he likes talking to the one he hates. "Look Tomioka-san, a new Pillar!" Says Kanae as she pulled Giyu to Sanemi, Giyu remembered him and wanted to say "Congratulations on the promotion, Pillar of wind." And Sanemi seemed frustrated and says "Oi, don't go acting like your better than us." "Don't change the subject." Replied Giyu as Kanae seem concerned of what's happening. "Can't we just get along?" Asked Giyu as Sanemi says "with some Conceited brat like you?! Never!" "How's Masachika doing?" Asked Giyu and Sanemi immediately Punch Giyu, though he blocked it with his arm but tripped backwards and fell to the ground injured. "Hey! What is wrong with you!?" Asks Tengen as he helps Giyu get up. "Don't speak his name you worthless basterd! Since he's Dead!" Says Sanemi as he yelled at Giyu. "No fighting, this is not the time to make a scene!" Says Kanae as she saw how giyu is in pain.
"The master has arrived" says Amane as they all kneeled, as moments passed after Sanemi threw such an insult and the Pillars are mad at him for it. "You out of your mind? Not only did you hurt a Pillar and now you do that our leader!?" Asked Tengen "is an evil spirit possessing you?" Asked Gyomei and Kanae says "now I'm sad, that's not okay. Please don't do that. And go Apologize to him." She pointed to Giyu he's using Recovery breathing to recover the injury on his forearm. Sanemi says "I'm sorry, Tomioka." As he flinches his teeth, Giyu says "I forgive you." As Sanemi walks away from him and Kanae walks to him and said "come, I'll help you with the injury." As both walk together as Sanemi from the distance staring at giyu in hatred 'She's Mine'.
Days later and giyu recovered from his injury and now he's off on Pillar training where Giyu and Sanemi has fallen into a Tie, as it lead him to be furious that he can't beat him at all due to a tie. Giyu's now sitting on the bench with Kanae, and Tengen says "a tie, 10 times in a row, what a Flashy endgame, Hey tomioka, when will you surpass Himejima?" "Obviously never, he's too powerful. I have my own strength and I'm okay with it." Says Giyu and Sanemi says "Oi, again! This isn't over!" "We've been on this for 30 minutes, Let me rest." Says Giyu and Sanemi flinches and says "Coward!" "Let him rest, he's tired." Says Kanae and Sanemi stands down as he seems frustrated, 'Why is she defending this idiot, doesn't she see how much of a narcissist he is?' as he sits down next to Himejima, who he's noticing some jealousy from Sanemi.
