Thinking on it a bit more, you decide to arrange a trap for the next time that your little psychic voyeur decides to drop by. You spend the next half hour or so hashing out a plan with Briar, and then casting spells with the appropriate effects. This is a subtler field of mind magic than you're used to, whether in real life or from your inherited dreams, so you don't have a huge variety of well-defined spells to work with, but you're able to hash together what feels like an effective trap. It won't stop the intruder from getting in, but it should keep her from leaving without your say-so, as well as blind her to the contents of your dreams and memories while she's in your mind. That it will also buffer you again psychic attacks and spillover almost goes without saying. As you've never worked with this variety of mind magic before, you decide to be particularly thorough in the set-up of your trap, giving it multiple levels and pumping some extra mana into the spells involved. They ought to persist for the next couple of days, assuming nothing triggers them in the meantime.

Once your trap is set, you check the bedside clock. It's coming up on four in the morning.

"Izzat everything, Alex?" Briar asks, yawning. "'cause I'd sorta like to go back to sleep for a while."
