So it turns out that you are smiling. You hadn't realized that you found the prospect of the Tournament Masters being menaced by Akasha to be that amusing... and that fact is kind of troubling. Okay, yeah, at least one person in that group is probably responsible for a bunch of the crap you've had to deal with at this event, and you're pretty much okay with getting back at said agency. Plus, it just feels right that somebody who decided to mess with an eight-year-old now has to deal with a ticked-off parent - even if Akasha isn't related to you, and it wasn't your troubles specifically that set her off. On the other hand, you did just send the Dark Lady of the Orient off on a (probably) metaphorical head-hunt against a bunch of people you've never met, some of whom may well be innocent of the misdeeds of their associates but are now going to be caught up in the fallout regardless. You've never found the prospect of human suffering - particularly at non-human hands - to be a source of entertainment before, and viewed from that angle, your amused smile is just a little concerning.
At least you didn't smile deliberately - or laugh. That would have had shades of Ganondorf all over it.
"Alex?"
"Hm?" You look up and find the gathered girls looking at you.
"You alright?" Briar asks. "You kind of... wandered off somewhere."
"Oh, yeah. Sorry, I was just picturing Miss Akasha stringing a bunch of smug old men" - with a mix of Hylian and Oriental features - "up by their beards. It was funnier than it should have been, really."
"I don't know," Kahlua replies thoughtfully. "That could be pretty amusing, assuming you didn't pull their beards out by the roots."
"Perhaps, instead of hanging them from the ceiling, you could tie them to a wall at an angle just steep enough to be painful," Moka suggests.
"Oooh, that could work."
Oh good, you've given them ideas. And Cordelia seems to find it almost as amusing an image as the sisters do. You make a mental note to warn Lu-sensei. Speaking of whom... you glance across the arena, looking for Sakaki's distinctive form, to see if your teacher has returned to your seats. Not only can you find no sign of your master - who is likely still taking part in some disciplinary action against the two ninja-boys - but your previous neighbor is nowhere in sight. He must have taken off at some point after Briar fetched Lu-sensei and Cordelia to come help you.
"Will you be staying with us for this round, Alex?" Kahlua asks, breaking off her discussion with her sister to regard you with a somewhat hopeful expression.
Will you? The Shuzen seats are a full section farther up and back than your previous ones, so you'd have to use some ki enhancement to get the full benefit of watching a match - not to mention that Cordelia won't be entirely happy about having to sit near Kahlua. On the other hand, leaving would likely upset Kahlua, as well as set you up for another potential random encounter. And it's not as if Cordelia needs to sit next to the blonde, or even that you do; there are plenty of free seats in this section, doubtlessly either paid for to give a measure of privacy, or simply avoided by people who can sense the Shuzen sisters' unusual natures.
