With Eleanor and Theodore out in town and Jeanette and Simon spending their day at the Seville household, Alvin and Brittany took this time to be alone for the afternoon at the Chipette Treehouse. To any outsider it would seem that they were cats and dogs, but in a poorly kept secret to those closest to them, the two enjoyed their private time together. They loved being in their own little world away from everyone despite how much they enjoyed spending time with their siblings. They were known by the world for their bickering and their clashing, but at least here with no one else around and nothing to cause one to challenge the other it was peaceful and filled with comfort. The two rested on top of Brittany's neatly kept bed in the treehouse with Brittany resting her head on Alvin's chest as she quietly listened to his heartbeat, enjoying his presence.

"Alvin," Brittany cooed with a sweet voice as she tapped on his chest. He didn't respond which Brittany thought nothing of at first. Perhaps she spoke too softly and didn't get his immediate attention. In fact, she was surprised that he was not surprised at how reserved her call out for him sounded. "Alvin…" before she continued, she hesitated then nervously added "d-d-darling…" She struggled to even whisper that last word. In the past it was easier and felt more natural but now as they were, it came to the diva as nerve-wrecking almost, yet she still wanted to say it now that they were alone. Still, she heard nothing from her partner and became curious. "A-Alvin?" Brittany asked again as she lifted her head upward and toward to meet him. Her expression went from concerned to annoyed the moment she discovered that his eyes were closed and his head drooped over his shoulder, away from Brittany's. It was then it became even more clear to her when she heard a quiet snoring from him when he opened his mouth. At first she got ready to give him a mouthful as if it were instinct developed from the days when they were younger and harsher. This time though, she let out a sigh and a gentle grin grew on her face. This time, she decided to let it go and lay her head back down on his chest. She tapped her fingers on him one more time before even joining in, closing her eyes as well. Just like Alvin, Brittany let her mind drift into the quiet comfort and peaceful silence they shared this afternoon. At least until any resemblance of quiet comfort and peaceful silence shattered in a moment and Brittany was nearly ejected off the bed when Alvin shot up in a confused and dazed flurry.

"Huh-What-I-" Alvin mumbled, trying to wake up and become more aware of his surroundings. Brittany could feel the irritation come back. "I'm up Britt, I'm up! I-I mean I'm awake! Always have been!"

"Alvin," Brittany barked to catch his attention as she had to crawl back onto him.

"I'm good, see? Still awake, wasn't asleep at all!"

"Alvin."

"I know we talked about-"

" Alvin."

"I do so enjoy our quiet time!"

"Alvin!"

"Yeah-huh! I do!"

"ALVIN," Brittany yelled as loud as she could, just enough to get his attention.

"Huh? What?"

"Alvin, it's fine! Really."

"It is?"

"Yes."

"I thought- I thought you said that quiet time isn't sleeping time."

"W-Well yeah but-"

"And that we should always make the most of the time we get alone."

"I mean, that's still true but-"

"And that-"

"Okay, okay I get it! I know what I said!" Brittany pouted as she playfully pushed him on his chest. "I guess what I'm trying to say now is…" she paused. "Nevermind! As… as long as we're together."

"That's what matters most," Alvin finished her thought as he smiled into the open air and raised his arms for a stretch.

"But that being said, let's try to stay awake if the other one is. Okay?"

"Ughh, fine," Alvin groaned dramatically on purpose to tease Brittany as she stuck out her tongue at him.

"Sooo," Brittany shifted. "What were you dreaming about? And the first answer better be me of course."

"Mmm…" Alvin thought back. "First, second and third answer." Brittany lit up from his answer and her cheeks began to turn red.

"Aw. See, I knew you could still be a sweet talker."

"That's how I got my prom date," He responded without any self-awareness.

"What did you say," Brittany glared at him.

"I-I- what I meant to say was my junior prom date! Remember? I had to ask someone else or go as a dateless wonder because that one wrestling meathead asked you out and you said yes."

"Y-Yeah… whoops…" Brittany backed off in shame, then they both cleared their throats to break the growing awkward silence.

"B-But we did go together for senior prom, so that made up for it, right?"

"It did, it did."

"Darn right it did." The two giggled and managed to calm down the situation.

"So, back to what I was trying to ask before when you were asleep…"

"Yeah?"

"Like, what would you do with a million dollars?"

"It's hard to even think about that when we used to make millions of dollars! If we went back to touring, we wouldn't have to even ask."

"Ugh, right? Someone gets it! Finally! But like, if you had it now and-and you didn't have to use it for work or the house, what then?"

"Does it matter? S'not like we'll see that kind of money again…" Alvin crossed his arms underneath his head and looked up to the ceiling.

"I guess it doesn't matter, ." Brittany began to slide off Alvin and the awkward silence started to grow again. Alvin, while not at the best angle, noticed this and saw that Brittany lowered her eyes. Not wanting this to go further, Alvin picked the conversation back up.

"I'd use it to buy my own studio. That way I can produce my own records and artists that I think are going to pop off!"

"Mmm," Brittany smiled. "But doesn't Dave already do that still?"

"He's more like an 'executive' producer so it's not like he's actually in the studio much unless they need him. He's always running around for meetings and stuff. You know he'd much rather just be a jingle writer for the rest of his life. Not me if I were in his position. Besides, it would be so lame if he was still my boss in, like, five or ten years."

"He's your dad. He's always going to be your boss."

"Yeah maybe, but if I had my own studio the guy can ease up a bit. Finally take a break y'know?" Brittany said nothing, only keeping a warm smile as she gazed at Alvin who, after looking back down to her, became confused. "What?"

"Nothing," Brittany let out, making small circles on his chest with her finger. "Soo… is there anything else you'd buy?"

"Hmmm… maybe a jetpack. Like a real one, not one of those lame water ones."

"Anything else?"

"Oh! Those new sneakers that are, like, designer and a couple hundred bucks. Then another pair to trash online!"

"Okay… what about-"

"I'm not done! And-And like an all you can eat experience at Rex's Burgers. And a parfait!"

"Wouldn't there be like, y'know, anyone else you wouldn't mind helping out so they could take a break?" Brittany gestured at him with her eyes, trying to keep her patience but the longer it took Alvin to think about it, the more that patience became strained.

"Hm… nah. That's it, I'd be good with that." Suddenly he felt her push down on him again.

"I meant me! What would you buy for me!"
