[Good afternoon, Brittany.]

[Right. My apologies.]

[Regarding...?]
[You know what I am talking about.]
[Do I?~]
[Yes. As you know, tomorrow is Jeanette's midterm. And of course we know she will pass.]
[Duh.]
[And as we planned, we will have a celebration for her and Eleanor.]

[Thank you.]
Munk Musings #6: "Double Date by Default"
Eleanor and Brittany sat at their patio of the treehouse while they enjoyed an afternoon drink. Brittany had her boba while Eleanor enjoyed her afternoon coffee. It was a quiet day and perfect weather.
Eleanor: So anyways, Theodore's teacher was so grateful for fixing the mix-up that-
Brittany: Wait, go back. Theodore managed to bail out his teacher?
Eleanor: I know right? I'm so proud of him! He doesn't say it much but he really gets it over there.
Brittany: Good 'ol baby Theo. Anyways, go on.
Eleanor: Y-Yeah, so like, his professor-
Brittany: How do you even mix up sugar and salt? You teach at a culinary school!
Eleanor: I know right? Someone really needs to get fired or held back if they mixed up those labels. Imagine how bad that would get.
Brittany: So gross. Anyways, go on.
Eleanor: Right, so when he realized that there was a mix-up, Theo took the first chance-
Brittany: He didn't lick them did he?
Eleanor: I really hope not. But how else would he know?
Brittany: Hm, true, I guess he would have had to taste test.
Eleanor: That's not too far off for a school about cooking, right?
Brittany: True. Anyways, go on.
Eleanor: And he slapped the spoon right out of his teacher's hand!
Brittany: I didn't know he had it in him!
Eleanor: I know right? So his professor was so grateful for his attention to detail. After class, he gave Theodore free reservations to 'Pasta'lamore' Friday night!
The two girls squealed at the surprise.
Brittany: That's like the most romantic Italian restaurant in town!
Eleanor: I know! We just need to do something with the other seats at the table.
Brittany: I'm texting Alvin to clear his schedule right now.
Eleanor paused: Who said you guys are going?
Brittany: Please, were you going to invite Jeanette and Simon? Talk about stiffer than a cemetery.
Eleanor: You're not... exactly wrong...
Brittany: Or Dave and Vinny?
Eleanor: That would be awkward...
Brittany: So, Friday night then?
Eleanor: ...Fineā¦
Later that afternoon, Eleanor walked into the Seville house later that day as Theodore enjoyed his midday lunch. She sat by him as she gave him a hug. His hands were occupied but he still leaned inward to reciprocate the greeting.
Eleanor: I am so ready for Friday! Oh... FYI, Brittany and Alvin are our plus 2 so uh... be ready.
Theodore, chewing his food: Huh?
Eleanor: Yeah, I wasn't exactly thrilled either but she made a... persuasive argument.
Theodore: No, I meant what's going on Friday?
Eleanor paused: I-I thought we were going to Pasta'lamore on Friday? You know, those reservations your teacher gave you?
Theodore: Yeah. I'm going. That was the plan.
Eleanor hesitated: B-But I- oh...
Eleanor lowered her head. Theodore quickly turned around and put his food down.
Theodore: Just kidding! Of course you're going!
Eleanor shot straight back up and blew a sigh of relief.
Eleanor, red cheeked: Oooh, so not cool! You had me going there for a second! I got worried.
Theodore: I'm sorry!
Eleanor: It's fine, just make it up to me?
Theodore: Of course!... How?
Eleanor: Hmm... make me another coffee?
