Dressed in a full black suit and without his hat, Alvin walked into a small den filled with bookshelves, a chair, end table and a lit fireplace. He kept one hand in his pocket and gestured his other hand out as if he had a cigarette between his fingers.

"Good evening," Alvin greeted. "Tonight we have a special story for you folks. A kind of story that comes along only once in a long while. But this kind of story isn't meant to delight or inspire, but instead rather instill fear and anxiety. A story like this can only make you feel like you're not alone in a dark room as you read to find out what happens next. No, this story is far from what you're accustomed to. It is one to make you squeak and scream! Hence, the title." Alvin walked over closer to the chair and sat down beside the firelight. He picked up a book from the nearby end table but when he opened it up, a comic book fell out. He blushed in embarrassment and cleared his throat. "Okay, so it's not exactly high brow literature. BUT tonight's story will still send a shiver down your spine and have you look over your shoulder nonetheless. One from my 'personal collection' that I'm happy to tell for you." He looked away towards a voice in the distance. "Huh? Oh, yeah... right. Well, we couldn't exactly do the one I wanted. It was deemed too haunting for sensitive audiences. So instead, here's a story titled: 'The Pixie'. Enjoy!"

Alvin looked directly down to his phone camera as he tapped the record button. He snickered and gestured to shush the camera before tapping on the screen to change camera angles. From the camera he spun around and showed that he was in the Chipette Treehouse kitchen. He walked the camera over to the living room where the microphone began to pick up a noise coming from the couch. He quickly swapped between camera lenses to show him covering his mouth to contain his laughter as he walked towards the sound. With the outer camera back on, he approached the couch slowly. There was an arm hanging off the arm rest which belonged to none other than one Chipette in particular. He crept around the corner of the arm rest to reveal to the camera a sleeping Brittany. He snickered as he recorded Brittany snoring lightly and drooling over the throw pillow. Her pony tail was a complete mess from the times she moved around, covering part of her face. She shifted slightly before Alvin poked her on the cheek.

"Wakey, wakey Britt," Alvin teased, unable to contain his devious intent. The poke caused Brittany to squirm and move her cheek away. She mumbled and turned her head which only made the Chipmunk snicker more. "Oh Britt."

"What…" Brittany groaned. She forced herself away, albeit only halfway. Once she was able to understand her surroundings, her eyes fluttered then she scowled. "What are you…" she stopped as she looked down to the pillow and quickly turned bright red. "Alvin!" Alvin burst into laughter as she wiped her mouth.

"Now you can never complain about me doing it," Alvin mocked as Brittany growled.

"Alvin," she shrieked with anger and embarrassment. "Get that out of my face!" Before Alvin could respond amidst his laughter, the camera caught Brittany's arm swiftly firing upward, then the camera only captured the ceiling and finally the ground several feet away.

"Britt," Alvin could be heard from the phone's microphone shouting. "That's brand new!"

"Well now it's newly broken, you jerk," Brittany could be heard in the distance. "I can't believe you recorded that!"

"Relax! I wasn't going to post it anywhere."

"Oh is that so? "

" Yes. It was purely for proof. I'm not the one who's doing it!"

"Mhm?"

"Okay… it's not always me. You do it too!"

"Well congrats jerkface, you got me. Delete it."

"Yeah, yeah. I would if it wasn't knocked across the room." Due to its close proximity to the ground, the microphone picked up the vibrations of Alvin's footsteps as he walked over to pick his phone up. He groaned as he squatted down to grab it and mumbled to himself to check for damage.

"Easy there Grandpa, you might blow a knee out," Brittany teased.

"I swear I'm going back to the gym on Monday." Alvin played it off, getting both of them to chuckle. "Good, no cracks. You're lucky you know."

"You're lucky I only hit the phone," Brittany bit back from the background. Alvin rolled his eyes directly to the camera as if there was an audience and smirked but as he looked away, something else caught his attention off-screen. He turned the camera to the window of the treehouse and zoomed in. Down below in the Seville yard, he caught Jeanette pulling Simon along towards the treehouse, looking excited while Simon looked only confused, but with a smile on his face from her.

"Hey Britt," Alvin said from behind the camera.

"What," Brittany distantly asked back.

"We got company."

"Oh great! D-Distract them while I… while I clean this…"

"You sure you don't want to show off this side of you to the world? They say celebrities who are humble and 'real' are in these days."

"Har Har, very funny."

"Don't worry, it's just the nerds."

"Still!"

"Jean seems pretty excited about something. You might want to hurry."

"Uh-I-" Brittany scrambled in a rush off-camera to say something. "J-Just go out there and stop them! I'll be quick!"

"Alright, but I'm only giving you five minutes. Or less."

"Alvin!" Alvin snickered as Brittany whined, then the camera began to move and head out the front door. It and Alvin were immediately hit by the bright sunshine of the afternoon.

"Ah! Geez," Alvin complained. "Isn't it like October? Being this bright out should be a crime." He continued down the staircase to the base of the tree where he saw Simon standing over Jeanette who crawled down to a small ring of mushrooms that recently sprouted. Jeanette inched closer and lowered her head even further, completely enamored by the discovery as Simon watched close by, until he noticed Alvin's presence approaching him.

"Yo, Si," Alvin spoke up. "What's up?" Alvin kept the camera focused on his brother as he recorded, playfully zooming in and out until Simon responded. Simon caught him from the corner of his eye, but then fully turned his head around with an unamused expression and his arms crossed.

"Alvin," Simon asked in near monotone. "What are you doing?"

"Oh, you know… 'vlogging' for the fans back home," Alvin joked. Simon looked between him and the camera for a few seconds before shrugging him off dismissively. "Sooo, what's goin' on down here?"

"Jeanette wanted to show me something."

"Yeah I got that. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Be specific, egghead!" Simon nearly snapped at Alvin before Jeanette finally spoke up.

"Simon, see? Look!" She exclaimed with enthusiasm. Simon turned back around to the cheery Chipette as Alvin followed along with the camera. He focused the camera on her as she smiled back, then pointed for the camera to look back down to the mushrooms. "Look! It's proof! Just like I said!"

"Wooow," Alvin obnoxiously acted. "It's… a bunch of mushrooms. Real neat there Jean." Jeanette pouted at the camera first before moving up to his eyes, but then lit up in a sudden revelation.

"No wait, Alvin," she spoke up again. "Look closer. I-In fact, use the camera and zoom in! You might see it even clearer!"

"Alright, alright. Let's see what we got here," Alvin humored. He put his fingers on the screen of the phone and pinch to zoom in closer with the camera the best he could. Then he mumbled when the image clarified. "Woah, wait. Hold on a minute…" he thought out loud as the microphone picked up Simon getting closer to his brother.

"Huh? L-Let me see. Here…" Simon said from behind the camera, taking the phone out of Alvin's hands, shifting and moving the lens out of focus briefly. He scanned the ring of mushrooms back and forth until finally settling on what they found. Resting on top of and leaning around a red mushroom, he recorded the sight of almost microscopic pieces of fabric, a tipped over thimble letting out an orange nectar and most intriguing of all: Shimmering pieces of what looked like insect wings. "Th-That's… I've never seen anything like this. Jeanette, what IS that?" Simon panned the camera back to Jeanette and zoomed out to properly see her ecstatic reaction.

"It's none other than…" Jeanette paused for dramatic effect. "Traces of a pixie! After all my life so far of hoping and hoping, they've finally made contact!"

"A-A… pixie," Alvin and Simon questioned in unison and in near disbelief.

Editor's Note: Thank you for your patience with the main story as well as Other Adventures. Similar to Alvin's Jams, I wanted to use this story to kind of experiment and have fun with these characters. It's not part of the main timeline at all, but I love when shows or cartoons have Halloween specials like Treehouse of Horror or Terror Tales from the Park so I wanted to do this just to have some fun. Granted its summer time, but maybe the cool thoughts of Halloween and October can help keep your mind off the encroaching heat of June and July. It was meant to be a large story rather than broken up into parts, so please bear with me as this is the best I can do right now. Real life is keeping me busy and I want to at least do something before I lose all will to keep writing.
