The camera of Alvin's phone turned back on and began to record as it flipped around from him trying to get it in the proper position. In the meanwhile he captured footage of all around the Chipettes' bedroom in the Miller House. Once he got the position right, he turned the camera to the rest of the Chipmunks in the room, this time with Simon and Theodore having joined them. All of the lights were completely switched on in the room, fighting against the cloudy dark of the night. Simon and Jeanette stood by the window, though their tones were not what everyone was used to. Eleanor sat and rested herself in Theodore's embrace as he did his best to comfort her while Brittany returned from their walk-in closet, now changed into evening wear. She tied her robe together as she approached the rest of the group.

"See Simon," Jeanette started. "What other explanation is there?"

"Plenty," Simon argued. Scratches on a window can come from a myriad of sources.

"But look at the pattern! And look at how thin the lines are that went into the glass!" Jeanette took his pen light from out of his hand and shined it across the clear and defined streaks that ran along the otherwise transparent glass. "Fine streaks, consistent with small pointed nails or-

"Talons of a bird," Simon interjected.

"But look how there are multiple lines all going the exact same way, no bird in the region has this many toes on one foot. Or all go in the same direction when fleeing!"

"That doesn't exactly mean they come from a singular appendage. It could have been another kind of animal, some kind of tree dwelling rodent perhaps." The camera panned around every now and then but Alvin tried to keep the camera on them without drawing too much attention to himself.

"Th-Then what about the second wing! We still have no other like it on any record!"

"I-I mean, yes but new specie are discovered all the time and-"

"Simon!" Simon winced at Jeanette's cry for his support. Then the camera swerved to see Brittany march over past Alvin. He nearly dropped his phone again but caught it before it fell out of his hands entirely.

"H-Hey, watch it," Alvin complained from behind the camera but to no one's interest. Brittany wedged herself between the bickering geniuses.

"Alright you two," Brittany commanded. "Time out! Both of you to the beds, now."

"Brittany," Jeanette tried to push back with a scowl. "I'm not a little girl anymore."

"N-Neither am I," Simon embarrassingly tried to jump in, getting Alvin to snicker to himself as he recorded.

"Well ya ain't showin' it right now!"

"Brittany," Before Jeanette could say anymore, Brittany stomped her foot and pointed towards Eleanor and Theodore with a stern but punishing glare. Jeanette flinched, then without another word between them, complied and headed over sulking all the while.

"She's still got it," Alvin proudly commented to himself and the camera.

"Come now, this is completely unnecessary and uncalled for," Simon defended him and Jeanette, only for Brittany to focus her menacing glare over to him. He recoiled but cleared his throat.

"You're not off the hook either, Egghead."

"Gettim Britt," Alvin deviously cheered on from the camera. He looked over to Eleanor and Theodore, but noticed Eleanor shaking her head.

"Please," Simon regained his composure. "Th-That might have worked when I was a child, but not anymore." There was a brief moment of silence between the two with Alvin zooming in for dramatic effect. Brittany slowly crossed her arms and tilted her head upward as she continued to stare him down. She tapped her finger on her arm as if she were counting down to something catastrophic. Simon stood his ground at first, unbothered by her look but as the seconds passed and the silence permeated, he began to crack. It all ended when Simon growled, then stomped over to sit on another bed away from the other three. Brittany smugly smiled to herself and after a small self-congratulating chip from the air releasing out of her nose, she strutted back towards Alvin and the camera.

"I love it when you do that," Alvin commented again before she and him casually high fived as she passed by. Alvin then shifted the camera to Eleanor's bed, but instead changed course to Simon who began to talk aloud to them from the farthest bed in the room.

"I'm sorry Jeanette," he said to her, getting everyone's attention but most importantly Jeanette's. She let go of her dour expression and looked back to him with a newfound hope in her eyes. "It-It's not that I don't want to believe you, or-or that you're wrong. I'm just trying not to jump to any conclusions preemptively. I mean, a mythological creature? That just defies all reason."

"N-No," Jeanette answered back. Alvin changed the angle back to her. "I-I know how it sounds, but everything so far just… well… nothing else makes sense. B-But maybe, that's the point? Like, no sense for us m-must mean perfect sense for... this." Eleanor and Theodore scooted back and got off the bed for Simon and Jeanette to directly face one another, the both of them unknotting their legs and unknowingly getting closer between the beds.

"W-Well.. When you p-put it like that…"

"Please Simon, for me? Just… consider it a possibility. We'll figure this out... together." They looked into each other's eyes with a certain connection only they shared and their cheeks began to warm. Though for a brief moment they forgot that all of it was still recorded in silence by Alvin and his camera.

"I-I supposed I can do that," Simon agreed, getting Jeanette to light up and run over to give him a hug. Alvin managed to get that on film too, and Simon turned bright red all across his face as soon as he remembered what his brother has been doing this whole time. He wanted to speak up, but didn't for Jeanette's sake as she squeezed him.

"Just get a room already," Brittany teased under her breath to Alvin as she leaned her arms and chin on top of his shoulder.

"Or at least a different room," Alvin added and the two snickered. "Why can't you be that compromising?"

"Because you're too stubborn."

Editor's Note: Thank you again if you are still around reading this and have been patient with me. I probably won't be able to post for about a week-ish or less after this due to some important life stuff but when I do come back, expect a lot more Chipmunk-y goodness! Please stick around...
